Chapter 7: The Truth

"Then vhas iz it zhat you vant in return?" the purple girl asked and Heartbreaker held up a hand. "Vi, let the male speak" Heartbreaker "I desire the current location of a certain artifact that you discovered" he replied. "The Piedra de destrucción?" Heartbreaker questioned and Aiden nodded. "Might I inquire why you want it?" she asked.

"Well, as you know, the Piedra de destrucción has the ability to go back in time and to permanently change any event in the past" he replied. "Yes, but you only get one chance. If you miss your chance then that's it. Once you tell it what event you want to change, once the event happens or changes, you will be brought back to your present, even if it's changed or not" Heartbreaker warned.

"Which is why I am prepared for anything. Now, shall we go prove that I am right about your intended?" he then snapped his fingers and a portal opened. "Vi, stay here and cover for me" HeartBreaker ordered and her minion nodded. She and Aiden went through the portal and were taken to the front of Carol and Ko's home. HeartBreaker pounded on the door and was greeted by a surprise Carol. Before she could say anything, the villainous duo barged into the home and Aiden guided HeartBreaker to Carol's room. "Hey! Just what do you think you're doing?!" Carol demanded as she followed them. Aiden held his staff out to prevent Carol from entering the room as HeartBreaker opened the closet. The room got colder as she noticed the familiar helmet sitting in a box. She slowly pulled it out and turned to Carol.

"You... You had this the whole time? This was supposed to me mine! He was my fiance!" she spat venomously. "Bianca?" Carol gasped and Ko came rushing into the room. Aiden picked Ko up by the back of his shirt and Ko began to struggle in his grasp. "Don't even try squirt" Aiden warned. Before Carol could do anything, HeartBreaker held up a hand. "Enough! I have what I want" she said and Aiden released Ko and opened a portal back to the party.

Once they were back, HeartBreaker scanned the room and stormed past the crowd to Professor Venomous. He looked at her once he heard the rapid clicking of her heels on the floor and he immediately excused himself once he saw what she was holding. He then sped walked as gracefully as he could to somewhere that was out of sight and earshot of the party, with HeartBreaker following behind him.

Once he was sure that they were alone, he let out a sigh of relief before he turned to HeartBreaker. "How did you get that?" he asked as he reached for his helmet, only for HeartBreaker to hold it out of his reach.

"Why? Why did you fake your death to turn evil? Do you know how much I mourned when I heard that you died? I'm like this because of you!" she then clutched her chest in pain. "How do you know all that? I never told anyone about that?" he asked and Aiden waltzed up to them.

"Me. You see, I come from a different universe,or I suppose timeline, where she went in with you and protected you from the explosion. You two ended up getting married and right after you conceived your second daughter, you faked your death. You even admitted it yourself, in my timeline at least" he then cleared his throat. "And I quote…" he then changed his voice to sound like Professor Venomous.

"After Bi and I conceived Solana, I began to grow tired of my mediocrity at P.O.I.N.T, she and everyone always told me that I should be content with the powers I already had. But how could any of them possibly understand when the powers that she and everyone else wielded were far vastly superior? I knew P.O.I.N.T would never approve of my efforts to obtain new powers, so in between missions, I studied up on bioengineering and conducted experiments in secret. I was even able to take Bianca's notes and sneak off to my secret lab while she was busy" HeartBreaker gasped and stared at Professor Venomous in shock. Aiden then continued his explanation in his normal voice.

"He created goo clone of himself, that ended up being destroyed, to avoid any suspicion or interference whenever he needed to study or work in secret. On that day, he couldn't risk Foxtail destroying his lab and countless months of research. He left you, or should I say wanted to leave you, Silverspark, and El-Bow outside while he ran in to cover his tracks. When you two were inside, he began to destroy his lab while you searched other parts of the building. One of the orbs dropped and of course you rushed over to shield him and yourself while you guys escaped before the building could disappear. This all happened in my universe where you two went in together and ended up getting married " he explained and he turned to Professor Venomous. "Care explain what really happened to you in this timeline?" he offered and Professor Venomous sighed.

"In the explosion, I lost my powers and I overheard Silverspark talking and I began to think about what purpose could I possibly serve as a husband, as a partner, and as a father with no powers while everyone else still had theirs. My answer was always none! So I went into hiding. I spent ages desperately trying to regain the powers I'd lost. But nothing worked! And yet, through all my miserable failures, I'd made big developments in areas of great value to a market I hadn't considered...villains! It wasn't until I'd struck it rich selling my goods to all those crooks that I realized something very important. You don't need powers to have power!" he then began to laugh evilly and HeartBreaker's head lowered.

"Did you ever even love me?" she asked and Professor Venomous went silent. "I did, and there is still that part of me that always will. But as I said, I grew bored of being a hero" he responded. "I never expected you to turn into a villain out of grief. I gotta admit, I like the new look" he complimented as his eyes raked over HeartBreaker's appearance. "You know, we are still technically engaged. What do you say Bi? Together we could be unstoppable!" he suggested as he noticed the ring on her left hand.

"Aiden, you said that in your timeline we end up married and with a daughter that he left after we conceived. What happened after that?" HeartBreaker asked.

"Let's see, after your child was born, he revealed to you and a few others about what happened, he turned Nebula evil, twice by mentally tormenting her, he was defeated and sent away. This was all after I was cast away by my own sister in a different event that happened before your child was born so I'm unsure of what else happened" Aiden responded.

"Well, Snow Angel? Or should I say Snow Devil. What'll it be? Wanna get married?" Professor Venomous proposed as he held up her left hand.
