Yoshi and Birdo IT isn't worth it

After a scary bedtime story about the shroobs Birdo tries to calm down her husband Yoshi. But her efforts are worthless when a REAL ALIEN INVASION HAPPENS! Yoshi is terrified of the strongest one, the Yoob. To make matters worse Birdo defies science and somehow gets pregnant. Will she be able to raise a family, carry a child and fight or will she take the EASY way out?

40. Chapter 40 Powers and dreams

Tank: "Hey Jelly, would you mind if I ran some X rays on your child?"

Birdo: "Fine..."

(Tank takes Birdo into a different room.)

Tank: "Stand here and don't move. I'm gonna try to figure out if your child is developing normally."

Birdo: "Whatever." (Still sad over Yoshi.)

(Tank starts the scan and finishes in 4 minutes.)

Tank: "I'll analyze the pictures in a bit. You go get rest."

Birdo: "Oke-"

(Something inside her caused her to jump and even float a few seconds in the air)

Birdo: "What was that!?"

Tank: "Hm?"

Birdo: "Something made Birdo jump!"

Tank: "That is strange. It probably is just this spaceship. It wasn't tested before we used it. Don't worry about it. Go get some rest."

Birdo: "Alright."

(Birdo walks out and finds the room with the king size bed in it. She curls up.)

Birdo: "Yoshi... Why can't me hold your hand?"

(Birdo constantly thinks of what she could've done instead. How guilty she felt before to attempt suicide. That same guilt is returning, but this time for not preventing the death of Yoshi. It's hard for her to get to sleep but finally she does...)

... ... ... ... ...

Birdo: "What will this do?"

Tank: "This will let you go back in time. Stop yourself and save Yoshi."

(Birdo steps inside the machine.)

Birdo Future: "Who's that?"

Birdo Past: "Yoshi failed to kill this evil. DON'T WORRY YOSHI! I WILL!"

(Birdo got on the chair and got the rope ready. Tied it around her neck.)

Birdo Future: "It's my fault."

(the room fills with white smoke and Birdo sees her past self's arm turn green)

Birdo Past: "For you Yoshi's baby! I SORRY! I SORRRYYYYYHYYHYHY!"

(The white smoke fills everything and Birdo future can't see what's going on. Then the white smoke clears and she sees YOSHI ON THE CHAIR WITH THE ROPE AROUND HIS NECK!)

Yoshi: "Me should've told Birdo! It my fault! If Yoshi just told Birdo and showed Birdo the videos of other children Birdo not done that! IT'S ALL MY FAULT!"

Birdo: "WHAT!? YOSHI NO!"

(Birdo tries to run up to him but some force stops her and knocks her to the ground. Yoshi sees her.)

Yoshi: "It all my fault Birdo! I sorry! It's all my fault! Me hate myself! Me should've told Birdo, me should've warned you and showed you the videos of babies getting killed then Birdo not do it! It's all my fault!"

Birdo: "YOSHI NO! IT'S MY FAULT!"

Yoshi: "Me really am evil! I'M A SHROOB BIRDO! WHY BIRDO CARE FOR AN ALIEN LIKE ME!? GO GET A REAL HUSBAND!"

(Yoshi kicks the chair and Birdo leaps up off the ground to catch him, only to realize she was dreaming.)

Birdo: "I no want a real husband ME WANT YOSHI BACK! YOSHI! Yoshi!... Yoshi... please..."

(Birdo sits up and looks around. She looks at her hand.)

Birdo: "Why I ever throw that thing away? Yoshi I love you! It not your fault!"

(Birdo looks around for a bit and then lays back down.)

Birdo: "Yoshi?... is that... how Yoshi really feel?"

(Birdo felt cold all of a sudden and pulled the covers up.)

Birdo: "Yoshi?..."

(Birdo for some reason quickly inhaled and blew out. She went back to sleep.)

(Birdo was staring at a tombstone with Yoshi's picture on it.)

Birdo: "Yoshi... I sorry."

Yoshi: "I more sorry."

Birdo: "YOSHI!?"

(Birdo woke up.)

Birdo: "Yoshi... *sigh*"

(Birdo got up out of bed and looked around. She walked outside and Tank called her.)

Tank: "Hey Birdo! I finished studying all of those X rays! I found out some great news!"

Birdo: "Huh?"

Tank: "Come in here and I'll show you!"

(Birdo followed Tank in a room, then for some reason ran into a wall and collapsed.)

Birdo: "WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!?"

Tank: "I think these X rays can explain. By any chance did you notice yourself having unusual powers during your fight with Yoshi?"

Birdo: "I no like to think of that... but yeah."

Tank: "Well it seems the baby has somehow grabbed ahold to your muscles and can use his or her powers inside of you!"

Birdo: "The baby's powers already formed!?"

Tank: "Oh that's not all! The baby has FOUR powers! Because of Yoshi being a shroob, the child mixed with multiple powers! The baby has Wind from you, Speed from Yoshi, flight from blue and red mixing, and a new power which I haven't seen before which appears to be a copy ability! That explains why you just ran into the wall, the baby latched his foot muscles onto your leg muscles, and can also fly."

Birdo: "WOW! Where did the copy ability come from?"

Tank: "Yoshi and all those weird pills. Let's try it out, eat this ice cube and I expect you to spit out ice."

(Tank hands Birdo an ice cube and she swallows it whole. And beyond her control comes out an arctic wind freezing a cup of water Tank had sitting out.)

Tank: "Just as I predicted! The baby swallowed the ice and spat that out! The child also appears to be pink in color."

Birdo: "Amazing!"

Tank: "I've told Kunyay and he said "Of course that was planned! Just wait to you see how cute the baby will be!""

Birdo: "Is it a boy or girl?"

Tank: "Honestly... that's not developing... And I can't like, analyze the DNA yet. But this baby is definitely destined for greatness!"

Birdo: "Me can't wait to get this over with."

(Kunyay walks in)

Kunyay: "Hey, uh, we'll be landing on Shroobsveam soon."

Birdo: "I gonna avenge Yoshi!"

(Birdo walks out.)

Luigi: "Hey uh Birdo? We're sorry but we can't-a come with you. We gotta protect-a the earth."

Daisy: "As much as I'd like to fight side by side with you, I gotta get some sweet revenge on Kemmy for deceiving me into thinking Kunyay was evil! I'M GONNA BLOW HER TO SMITHERINES!"

Ally: "I still have Rexie to care for along with the rest of the orphans still on earth."

Ruby: "I'm coming with you though!"

Tank: "I can't leave my daughter!"

Kunyay: "As much as I'd like to stay with you, God told me to stick with Yoshi's island."

Brega: "Same for me."

Kunyay: "OH but before you leave, I wanted to give you these 2 notes!"

(Kunyay hands Birdo 2 notes)

Kunyay: "I only want you to read the first one. Do not read the second one until the baby is born. REPEAT DO NOT READ THE SECOND ONE UNTIL THE BABY IS BORN! They are from my preacher Tim Cement!"

Birdo: "TO ME! OOH I GOTTA SEE IT!"

(Birdo rips open the letter)

Kunyay: "I haven't seen them either, so this is exciting!"

Birdo: "I uh... can't read."

Tank: "It says "Dear Birdo, mother of the hero prophet, healer, and director, mother of the one who will awaken the world, I know I will never get to meet you face to face, at least, not on earth, but I am happy to know my student Kunyay will give you this letter when the time is right. God told me you and Yoshi would be absolutely adorable, and so friendly. You both sound so wonderful! But unfortunately at the time you will read this, Yoshi will have moved to heaven. I can confirm he is with me in heaven, and you will see him again. However, now is the time for a spiritual war. God does not want you to attack the shroobs head on! He will give you further instructions when you arrive on the planet. God wants you to instead pretend to be one of them. Disguise yourself as a shroob, just as Tank disguised Yoshi as a real yoshi back on earth, but this time in reverse. Do this for you, and Tank. Ruby stays as is. Yoshi has translators inside the X ray machine hidden away. Use those and disguise yourself. When you get on the planet, not long after you'll find the prophet Plentiful Boulder, or for short, just Boulder. He is the master prophet, healer, evangelist, awakener, he is widely known. However, trust God above all. Also remember DO NOT OPEN THE OTHER NOTE UNTIL AFTER THE BABY IS BORN OR ELSE ALL THE GIFTS HIDDEN INSIDE WILL TURN INTO CURSES! Goodbye, I am looking forward to meeting you in heaven. Signed Tim Cement.""

Kunyay: "Well. That sums it up. We'll stay until Tank gets your disguise ready."

(Tank and Birdo go into the experimental room and he starts mixing various dyes. He puts Birdo on a bench and starts painting her)

Tank: "After this I want you to swallow a pill of the dye, to change your natural colors."

(Tank finishes painting Birdo and gives her the pill full of the dye. She swallows it.)

Tank: "Wow you uh... definitely look like an alien!"

Birdo: "Hehe! OK now your turn!"

(Tank gets on there and Birdo paints him.)

Tank: "We're ready!"

(They both walk out and get the translators. One goes in the ear, and one under the tongue.)

Kunyay: "Turn them on as soon as you get out."

Birdo: "Alright!"

(Birdo opens the door and screams! Then slams it!)

Birdo: "GAAAAH!"

Tank: "WHAT WHAT WHAT!?"

Birdo: "IT'S FREEZING OUT THERE!"

(Kunyay looks at her hand and it has frostbite on it.)

Kunyay: "In the name of Jesus hand be healed!"

(Birdo's hand returns to normal.)

Kunyay: "How did your hand freeze so quickly? What is wrong with this planet?"

Tank: "We'll wear coats out there."

Birdo: "Yeah..."

(All 3 put on coats.)

Ruby: "OK let's go!"

Kunyay: "We'll leave in escape pods... We'll see you back on earth..."

Birdo: "Bye Kunyay."

All: "Bye!"

(They open the door for real and all 3 step out. Escape pods can be seen leaving the ship.)

Birdo: "Alright! Let's go find their village!"

(The translators turn on. They are fully disguised as aliens.)
