Chapter 6:
Aura Aura Aura Aura Aura!
Location: Aspertia City
Having rested up back Home, it was time to head for the next destination. I got out my Town Map. With my first Badge in tow, I knew it was time to aim for my second Badge. The next destination; Virbank City.
Virbank City is a port City, though not as big as Driftveil. It ships goods to this part of Unova. It's a bit on the grungy side I will say, but it has a movie studio there. So, I was excited to go.
"I'll do my best," Hugh said. "I'll join you soon. Just need to do a bit more training."
"I'll just get some training done to," I said. "Might even see how Ellie's doing. Hopefully, Alder is doing something about Team Plasma. I still can't believe they're back."
Hugh clenched his fist. "They will pay for stealing my Sister's Purrloin. Good luck Rosa."
"Rosa?" Mum said. She hugged me. "Good luck dear."
I put my eyes in her shoulder as tears ran down my cheek realizing this would be the last time I see her for a while. After about ten seconds, I said "Mum, you can let go now."
"Sorry," she said as I walked off. "Good luck sweetheart!"
Location: Floccesy Town
I had no worries about getting to Floccesy Town; I was so strong that I basically one shotted all the Pokémon there. I had no concern that things were getting too easy though; things were about to get much harder. One Badge is impressive, but two meant that I would be a quarter of the way there. After that, I would take on the Pokémon League.
"Hey Rosa!" Ellie shouted with her now sheered Mareep. Mareep bleated in delight.
"Look someone's conquered their fear!" I said, as I patted Mareep on the head. As I rubbed it, I felt my hair going up on end. It was a funny feeling, but I hated the feeling of my hair getting all messy, so I stopped.
Ellie giggled. "It's great that you get on so well with Pokémon! If you're looking for Alder, he'll be back this evening." Her face went serious. "Don't worry; we told him everything."
Location: Route 20
With some time to kill, I decided to train up a bit more, which was my original aim anyway. Not much interesting happened, but I wanted to go a bit further. Down the stairs specifically. It would be about a day's walk to Virbank, but I wanted to talk to Alder that day. But I could at least get a taster of what's to come.
Next to the stairs was a Hiker. "Now hold on. Down there is Virbank City. Pokémon are stronger, so I'm afraid I can't-" I got out my Badge Case. "My goodness, a Basic Badge. Well, I guess you are. But only if you beat me in a battle! Good luck!"
Rosa Vs. Hiker Jerome
"I choose Snivy!" I shouted.
"Go Riolu!" shouted Jerome, sending out a blue Pokémon with black ears.
Riolu (リオル)
033
Fighting Type
Emanation Pokémon
2'04" (0.7 m)
44.5 lbs (20.2 kg)
It uses the shape of auras, which change according to emotion, to communicate with others.
Baby Pokémon.
"Snivy, Vine Whip!" Snivy dished out some attacks with the vines that emerged from itself.
"Riolu, Feint!" Riolu punched Snivy quickly. Thank goodness Snivy wasn't using Protect or Detect; Feint would have gone right through it. "Now use Quick Attack!" Riolu darted forward into Snivy who was knocked by.
"One more Vine Whip!" Snivy took out its vines one more time and attacked Riolu. It was a direct hit and took down the Fighting Type.
"Nice one! I can now let you through anytime you like!"
"Thanks," I said. With that, it was onward to the Ranch!
Location: Floccesy Ranch
"Thanks," I told the entire family. "For everything. Without you, I wouldn't have known about the returning threat."
"It's fine!" Ellie said. "But don't go thanking us; you haven't taken those hooligans down yet. But I know you can, and Hugh and Alder to! If Hilbert can, then who's saying you can't either? As far as I'm concerned, you have as much potential as him, and he has the mighty Zekrom for crying out loud!"
I blushed. Whilst taking on the Gyms and defeated Team Plasma were both on my mind, I hadn't forgotten about my main goal; find Hilbert. The Trainer that had been missing for two years with no sightings.
Location: Floccesy Town
Alder was waiting for me as soon as I returned.
"Welcome," he said. We simply walked through the quiet village. People continued about their lives, but deep down they were in fear. "I've told everyone about the upcoming threat, and, in my investigations, they could be even more dangerous than last time. Last time, they were barely a joke. This time, I'm afraid to say that they're no joke." He gave a worrying sigh. "Rose. You and Hugh need to stop them. This is no laughing matter. I only trust you with this if you promise to take this as seriously as possible. Because who only knows what schemes they'll get up to now, or who's even running the operations."
I gulped, realizing the duty entrusted upon me. It was quite a big one. Hilbert just sort of went in. "I will. But what if I had to make a promise that will ruin someone but do good for everyone else?" I looked through the journal. There was a time when Hilbert promised to stay out of Team Plasma's way in order to save Bianca's Munna, but he slowly went against the promise and he clearly regrets it.
"Don't listen. Just battle them for it. That promise ended meaning nothing anyway, but I can see your concern. Feel free to ask my anything else if we cross paths, which we certainly will. But until then, I will leave Floccesy Town for a bit. I have some Team Plasma business to take care of myself. I bid you good day and, more importantly, good luck."
Location: Floccesy Town Pokémon Center
"Surprise!" said Mr. Medal who almost jumped on me when I entered the doors. "I saw that you went home to stay the night!"
"How did you know?" I asked, concerned. "Wait… you pervert! I'm calling the police!"
"Hold on!" he said, getting out a Medal. "This Medal is for sleeping at your house!"
I awkwardly walked to the front desk where Bianca was waiting.
"You'd gone before I could catch up!" she said. "Sorry. I hear you're officially on the road, so I'd like to give you a little present. Hand me your Xtransceiver."
I did. She took out a PC and plugged it in. "Is that?" I asked in excitement.
Bianca took my gadget out. "Da da da da! I've implemented a C-Gear! I told Fennel about you, and she said you could make good use of it!"
"Thanks!" I said, as Bianca informed that that not only had Hugh received his C-Gear, but he had also beat Cheren. "Okay, I need to rest up. Tomorrow, onward to Virbank City!"
So, my journey on the road has started. Many trials await me, and the fact that Alder trusts me with taking down Team Plasma is a big deal. I need to get stronger.
