P2 has Joined the Research

With not far to go to Nuvema Town, I had already decided that I wasn't going to head their straight away; that's not much fun. No. I had already planned my detour…
Location: Route 1
"I can't believe it," I thought. "This is where Hilbert took his first steps on his journey!" I saw the petals of blossom dance in the air under the blue sky. I opened Hilbert's Journal and made my way to the area with the sea. "He's right; you can see Castelia City from here!" I sent out Azumarill. "Okay, let's get this show on the sea!"
I hopped on Azumarill and we started skimming the water surface. The breeze in my hair felt very nice.
It was only a short bit of water, so I continued my walk onto the next part.
Well first, I was spotted by two Pokémon Rangers.
"Just some advice; be careful of the currents."
"You need to be strong to conquer them, Champion or no Champion!"
Rosa Vs. Pokémon Rangers Audra and Rick
"I choose Wigglytuff!" shouted Audra, sending out a round-pink Pokémon with floppy ears.

"Arcanine, Serperior, go!" I shouted. "Serperior, Night Daze!" Serperior slammed it claws on the ground and sent out an explosion of energy, hitting both opponents.
"Vigoroth, Crush Claw!" Vigoroth ran over to Serperior and slammed its claw down onto what was actually Zoroark.
"Arcanine, get it off with Crunch!" Arcanine grabbed Vigoroth by the jaws and threw it off. It was knocked out.
"Wigglytuff, Thunderbolt!" Wigglytuff shot a bolt of lightning at Arcanine. Arcanine shrugged it off.
"Girafarig, you're up!" Next was a yellow Pokémon with black spots. The other half was black, and it had a round tail with a face on it.

The head on its tail contains a small brain. It can instinctively fight even while facing backwards.
Girafarig has no known evolutions.
"Zoroark, Night Daze again!" Zoroark slammed its claws down again, sending out a shockwave that did a lot to Girafarig and knocked out Wigglytuff. "Now Crunch Arcanine!" Arcanine leapt forward, but missed.
"Now Girafarig, Zen Headbutt!" Girafarig's head started glowing, and it rammed itself into Arcanine.
"Stantler, go!" The next Pokémon was brown with two horns. On each horn was a small purple ball.

Staring at its antlers creates an odd sensation as if one were being drawn into there centers.
Stantler has no known evolutions.
"Night Slash!" Zoroark ran at Girafarig and slashed it, knocking it out. "And Arcanine, Flamethrower!" Arcanine shot fire at Stantler.
"Stantler, Jump Kick!" Stantler jumped towards Zoroark and kicked it. It was a Super Effective hit and knocked out Zoroark.
"Finally, a knockout!" Audra said. "Next, Vileplume!" She sent out a black Pokémon with a big-red flower on its head.

"To counter, I choose Cinccino!" Why would I use a Normal Type against a Pokémon that knew Jump Kick? I knew it was a risk. "Use Tail Slap!" Cinccino slapped at Stanler five times, taking it down. "And Arcanine, Flare Blitz!" Arcanine set itself ablaze and rammed into Vileplume. It barely survived.
"Use Petal Dance!" Vileplume started spinning round and round. It fired petals at Arcanine and Cinccino. Arcanine hung on and Cinccino took a lot.
"Victreebel, go!" Rick sent out a long-yellow Pokémon with a brown stem and two leaves attached.

It pools in its mouth a fluid with a honey-like scent, which is really an acid that dissolves anything.

"Cinccino, Tail Slap again!" Cinccino slapped Vileplume a few more times and defeated it. "Arcanine, Flare Blitz!" Arcanine set itself ablaze again, and charged into Victreebel. This did a lot of damage, but at a cost. Arcanine fainted from recoil.
"Nice try! Victreebel, Leaf Blade!" Victreebel swiped Cinccino with one of its leaves, knocking it out.
"I still have three Pokémon. Flygon, Serperior!" I shouted as they were sent out. "Serperior, Dragon Tail!" Serperior hit Victreebel with its tail, and it was down.
"Be careful of the currents!"
"Yep, you're the Champ alright!"
Location: Route 17
There wasn't a quick way per say to P2 Laboratory. As the Rangers said, I had to Surf along the currents.
And so, I did. I had to say, it was just as fun as Hilbert described it. Surfing along on the currents with the wind in your face. It was so fun that I did exactly what Hilbert did; crash onto the island on…
Location: Route 18
I got up and dusted the sand off myself. I decided that it would be a good time to relax. After all, it was only Midday.
I had a wander around the island. I knocked on the door of that Volcorona expert Lorcan, but he didn't seem to be in. Didn't know why.
"Yeah! Hello Unova region!"
A voice grabbed my attention. I looked up at the cliff face and saw a shirtless muscular man with blue shorts on. Wondering who that was, I walked up to him.
"H…hello?" I said.
The man looked round to me. "Well well well, if it isn't the Champion of the Unova region!" Whilst I didn't go in for a handshake, he grabbed my right hand and started shaking it so hard it almost popped out of my socket. "Names Wake, Crasher Wake! I'm the Gym Leader of Pastoria City!"
"That's in Sinnoh, correct?" I asked.
"Correct young lady!" He struck a post as he said this. If he was trying to impress me, it wasn't working. He didn't need to though; being a Gym Leader is impressive enough.
"So, what brings you to Unova?" I asked.
"The PWT of course!" he said. "I'm participating!"
Well, I wasn't expecting that. I guess it's the Pokémon World Tournament after all. "Are any more Gym Leaders participating?"
"Of course!" he said. "Not just me! Maybe I'll be an opponent of yours! Well, I better head off!" With that, he dove off the cliff into the sea and swam off. That one meeting demonstrated how big of a deal this tournament was.
Location: Route 17
Soon, I made it to the P2 Laboratory.
"Finally," I said. "Yes, I believe this is the place."
I knocked on the door. I didn't know why I did it; I wasn't expecting anyone to answer. But I'm glad I did, because someone did answer.
"Oh," Colress said. "It's you."
"Colress!" I yelled, but he covered my mouth.
"Not to be rude, but I'm trying to keep a low profile. Come on it."
Location: P2 Laboratory
"How do you know about this place?" Colress asked.
"Hilbert went here on his journey, and I wanted to check it out since you were involved in some sort of experiment."
Colress sighed. "I guess I have to reveal it don't I?"
"No no it's fine," I said. "If it's a secret, don't show me whatever this Genesect thing is-"I stopped myself. I had said too much.
"So, you know." Colress went over to a freezer sort of thing and opened it. Inside it was a purple Pokémon with a cannon on its back.

This Pokémon existed 300 million years ago. Team Plasma altered it and attached a cannon to its back.

"I worked on with Team Plasma, but those days are over now. However, I continue to work on bringing Genesect back with modern advancements. To bring out its full potential. Speaking of…" Colress went into a cupboard. He pulled out a large mirror. "This is the Reveal Glass. I believe it may be used to bring out potential in certain Pokémon. I'll update you when I can." He gave it to me.
"Thanks," I said. "Okay, I better get going. What will you do?"
"I'll see," Colress said.
Suddenly, Meloetta appeared. "Hey!" I said as we gave a hug. "Long time no see! Have you been good for Colress?"
Meloetta nodded its head. "It's been helping calm down Genesect if it gets a bit rowdy. It's a real help."
"Before you go," Colress said. "There is a storm heading towards our direction. And I may need to see you just before it hits. I won't get in the way of the PWT though."
"Thanks," I said, and headed out.
Location: Route 1
After a little bit, I reached the original path again.
"You've been a big help Azumarill," I said as I recalled it.
"HEEEEYYY!" I heard Bianca's voice from the south.
"Sorry I'm late! Had some things to do!"
"Well come on!" she said. "To Nuvema Town!"
Location: Nuvema Town
"I'm… here," I said. "The place where Hilbert got his Oshawott."
"Exciting, isn't it?" Bianca said. "You can bunk at my place! Come on!"
We went to Bianca's house where her father opened the door. "Welcome home sweetheart. Oh, I believe this is the Champion."
"Yep!" she said. "We're besties. Well, her best friend is Hugh but I'm her number two!"
Bianca, never change.
That night, I looked out the window at Hilbert's house. I wanted to go there first thing, but I wanted to get some rest. I had travelled a long way.
"What's his mum like?" I asked.
"She's not been the same," Bianca said. "But when your son goes missing, I can understand."
"I need to tell her he's alive!" I said. "I have his Journal to prove it, I will do it tomorrow!"
And thus, I have reached Nuvema Town.
