HINATA

"I don't know what to say," I reply stunned by everything I just saw. What the hell? In the time I have been on this team I have never once appeared in article.

"Kageyama was sick," says Bokuto defensively. "Hinata told me prior to….this…." He is gesturing to the magazine. "I know it still looks bad."

"You are not out of the woods," says Kuroo glaring at Bokuto. "I do something nice for you all and this is the thanks I get!" It takes everything in me not to flinch as he started shouting towards the end of his statement.

"How were we suppose to know we were being watched!" exclaims Bokuto.

"Management read that article," he replies folding his arms. "The whole country probably read this shit. There are several other sources online talking about this shit. You and Oikawa both fucked in the bathroom while Kageyama got drunk."

"He didn't have a single drink at the club!" I defend. At least I'm not lying. Kageyama didn't drink at that club. I feel bad he isn't here to defend himself. I know it would have been far worse if they caught Kageyama with a drink in his hand.

"Hinata you said would keep an eye on Kageyama," says Kuroo. "You did a bad job at that." I don't say anything because Kuroo is impossible to talk to when he is like this. As I recall Daichi and I had that conversation but whatever. We hear a knock on the door. I glance at the door recognizing the Olympic team accountant. He makes sure we are within budget for travel, equipment, things of that nature.

"Sorry I'm late," says Iwaizumi walking into the room. He is dressed in a button down shirt tucked into slacks. His belt and shoes look so expensive. I'm not surprised as Iwaizumi always dresses to impress when he is here. I don't know if it is his style or if he does it to be professional. Kuroo told him he doesn't have to dress up, but he still does.

"You are more than late," snaps Kuroo. "Hinata, give him that magazine." I do as coach tells me. Iwaizumi studies the magazine. He looks unbothered as his eyes gaze over the article.

"Um," he hums. "Isn't this more of Tsukishima thing?"

"Don't you worry about that. He is on the way," says Kuroo. "Why the hell are you fucking one of the players!?" Bokuto and I stare on in shock as Oikawa drops his head shaking in his chair. Iwaizumi face doesn't change at all. He tosses the magazine on Kuroo's desk.

"What I do in my personal time is my business," states Iwaizumi.

"Are you fucking kidding me!" Kuroo barks. "You fucked in a club bathroom with Oikawa and got caught."

"I'm sorry I got noticed," he admits. "Clearly someone was watching the team. People fuck around all the time. You are only mad because this makes you look bad." Whoa, I was expecting him to talk back to Kuroo. He is so….fearless.

"You're damn right I'm mad!" hisses Kuroo. "You need to apologize to management. All you, including Kageyama."

"We will," says Oikawa confidently.

"I bet," says Kuroo. "Iwaizumi you can't see Oikawa anymore." Oh my god. What the hell is happening….. Iwaizumi loses his cool for the first time since he walked in.

"Excuse me?" he questions with an obvious frown.

"I know you heard me," says Kuroo. "Management doesn't give a fuck that you're gay. However, they don't want the media focused on that and the partying lifestyle that is being promoted currently."

"I'm a grown man and they will not tell me who I can date," states Iwaizumi.

"We weren't even dating," says Oikawa above a whisper. "Just stop…" I glance at Oikawa to see he is emotionally wrecked. I have never seen him look like this before. He is usually so full of confidence. I'm not seeing a hint of that right now. Iwaizumi folds his arms.

"Fucking lair," he snaps. "You were just calling me and texting me for fun. I'm not going to even mention what else. That is our personal business." Oikawa begins to blush looking back down at his lap. Kuroo rolls his eyes walking around to his draw pulling out some papers.

You all need to sign new agreements," he explains. "Tsukishima is on his way. Any expectations broken in this update contract you will be fired immediately."

"I'm not signing that shit," states Iwaizumi. Kuroo glares at him.

"You don't sign, you're done," he replies sternly.

"Then I'm done," says Iwaizumi.

"Hajime no!" exclaims Oikawa causing everyone in the room to look at him. Iwaizumi walks over to Oikawa leaning down kissing him. I can tell Oikawa is happy, scared, also in shock. He doesn't leave Iwaizumi lips. He is kissing him as if it is his last time…. Iwaizumi pulls away from Oikawa. He touches the side of his cheek lovingly.

"You know where to find me when the games are over," he states. Oikawa sniffles as I can see his eyes shining with unleashed tears. My heart is breaking for him.

"He won't be seeing you if he is smart," states Kuroo folding his arms. Iwaizumi stands up.

"Management is so wrong for this," Iwaizumi replies. "I admit I screwed up, but they can't tell us how to live our lives. They don't own us!"

"You knew this as well as everyone else when we signed the papers," says Kuroo. Iwaizumi shakes his head taking off his badge tossing it on the desk.

"It's not worth it for me," he replies. "When you are in love you will understand." Iwaizumi turns walking out of the office as I can hear Oikawa quietly begins to sob. Jesus… Bokuto looks horrified as I feel. Kuroo phone goes off.

"Tsukishima," he greets sternly. "Where are you?" There is a pause. "Traffic. But of course. No, that's fine. We need Kageyama here anyway. In fact, I want everyone on the team signing this. I will grab them when you arrive. Bye." Kuroo ends the call. "Soon as Tsukishima gets here, you will be signing the updated contracts. Keep your phones on you. Hinata you find Kageyama. If he is not here, he is off the team. You can go." I would never allow that to happen. Kageyama will be here. At least I can give him a heads up on what is going on. Oikawa literally runs from the office while Bokuto stands up in disbelief by everything that just happened. "Katuro, I need to talk to you, stay." He looks like he really doesn't want to. I don't blame him. I'm not use to seeing Kuroo this furious. This is so awful…..

I quickly make my way back to my room. I just got inside my room to see Noya is calling me. Kageyama looks like he is waking up as he begins to toss and turn.

"Yu," I greet.

"What the fuck happened!" he exclaims. "Oikawa is in the bathroom. He can't stop crying. I have never seen him like this."

"I know….." I reply. "Some tabloid ran a story about our team outing at the club as a team. Let's just say they blew things up."

"Fucking really?" snaps Noya. "So now we can't even go out and chill. You know Kuroo is going to be livid."

"Oh, trust me, he was," I reply not moving further into the room. "We all have to sign updated contracts and if we break any rules we are fired immediately."

"God damnit….."says Noya. "It's not that serious."

"Well to them it is," I reply. "Like management over the team was pissed. The article made it sound like all we do is party and drink."

"Damn," says Noya. "You know management hated that. I could kill the person who ran this god damn story!"

"Ditto," I state. "I almost want no one with a camera phone allowed inside wherever we are. Sign an NDA, something. This is ridiculous. Now I feel like I have to look over my shoulder."

"No bullshit," says Noya. "I'm going to go talk to Asahi. You don't mind if I tell him, do you?"

"You can tell him," I mumble. "He is going to find out regardless. Management loves making an example out of people." Noya sighs.

"Facts," he replies. "I'm sorry."

"Thanks," I reply. "I'll talk to you later."

"Later," says Noya before ending the call. Kageyama turns over in bed with his iPad in hand.

"Hey," he says with sleep heavy in his voice. "Coach messaged me. Is everything okay?" I sigh. I don't even know where to begin with that. "I have a lot of emails from my parents." He rolls his eyes before the anger shows in them.

"They are the least of our worries," I reply walking further into our room. I sit down on the side of bed with Kageyama staring at me. His cheek is purple, but the swelling isn't as bad. His knuckles are scrapped raw in some areas. Looks painful. "How are you feeling?" He smirks at me.

"I feel great," he replies. I grab his hand smiling.

"I'm glad to hear that," I say before taking a deep breath. "I went to talk to coach while you were sleep."

"Was there a meeting?" he inquires sitting up.

"Somewhat," I mutter. "There was an article published talking about certain members of the volleyball team. You were one of them."

"What!" he exclaims. "I didn't do anything wrong?"

"Besides drinking underage," I point out. "Lucky for you they have no proof of that since you drank before arriving. They had to been following us. They had pictures of us and everything. I never had this happen before." Kageyama is scrolling through his iPad. I don't know what he is doing exactly but I know when he sees the photos.

"What the hell!" he shouts.

"I know," I groan running my hands through my hair. "Coach wants us to meet up within two hours. We all must sign new contracts. They are way harsher than before."

"Oikawa…..Bokuto…" he says slowly studying his screen.

"Yeah, Oikawa was surprising," I reply. Kageyama meets my eye.

"What happened?" he asks.

"The guy he was with is our organization accountant Iwaizumi Hajime," I explain. "You probably haven't had the chance to meet him yet. I feel so bad for Oikawa. He seemed…..really close to him." I think he loved him to be honest. That reaction said a lot.

"He was," says Kageyama. "I'm confused because Oikawa told me he stopped talking to him."

"You knew about them!" I say in surprise. Kageyama runs his hand through his hair.

"I didn't know it was someone within our organization," he explains. "I only know he was bi-curious and hooked up with a guy. He told me he didn't trust seeing him while living here. I….I don't know…"

"Oh man…" I say lowly. "They told Oikawa he can't see Iwaizumi anymore. Noya said he was crying in the bathroom. I am sure this guy means a lot to him."

"Fuck," cries Kageyama. "Do they hate people like us?" I know he is referring to us liking men. Kageyama said Oikawa is bi curious, but he does like men clearly.

"According to Kuroo they don't care," I reply. "They just don't want the public to know…so that is how come they told Oikawa and Hajime they can't be together." Kageyama is shaking his head.

"Oh god…" he mumbles.

"I know this comes as a shock," I reply standing up. "I want you to shower so we can get some food in you before our meeting with Tsukishima about our new paperwork." Kageyama nods his head yes standing up. "What are we going to do about the bruises?"

"I have makeup in my bag," he replies. "I didn't think I would need it, but I brought it just in case. Never hurts to be prepared." Thank God he does like to be prepared. I will tell him about his new cell phone once he comes out of the shower. I sigh still not believing this even happened. I wish Oikawa had been more careful but even more I could kill the person watching us. It's not like we even a major sport in most people's eyes.

I walk over to my draw grabbing my laptop. I sigh knowing now I have to take extra measures for us to be together. I research my condo rules on their community website. I want cameras to be installed at my front door and balcony. Might even get an alarm system. Before I never thought of things like this, but I must protect Kageyama and I. Kageyama has been in the shower a while. He is probably trying to ensure he is clean. He finally emerges from the steamed bathroom. I can see the stress on his face. I walk over to him.

"Hey," I say touching his cheek softly. "It's going to be okay."

"I'm so scared," he whispers. "I waited so long to get to this point. I'm finally discovering who I am, and this happens…"

"Nothing is going to happen," I reply. "We will be fine." A smile slowly appears on his face as he leans down close to me.

"We….." he says softly. I nod my head causing him to kiss me.

"Hah….." I mutter against his lips. His emotions are overtaking me. We can't have sex until after this meeting. "Hmm…..get dressed." Kageyama pulls away nodding his head yes. "I ordered your phone. It will be here in three days."

"Thanks Shoyo," he says digging into his draw. He sighs. "I don't know what I would do without you." I'm scared to say it, but I feel like he would die without me. Not after with I witnessed from his father.

"Are you hungry at all?" I inquire. "It seems like you're not hungry. I do still need to eat."

"I'm not at the moment," says Kageyama sliding on his briefs. I know it is because he is nervous. Me too. I can see the bruise beginning to darken on the side of his face. "I can eat after the meeting."

"I'll wait for you then," I inform him. Kageyama looks at me with a nervous smile coming to his face. I walk over grabbing his hand trying to comfort him the best way I can.
