The morning following Rex' departure felt different. If that makes sense…
It felt good to be back with my team and after everything that's happened something finally felt normal again.
Since the procedure yesterday the batch looks a lot more relaxed in themselves and round Omega. I can't put my finger on it but there's something about Omega something I haven't felt in a long long time and it's really going to get on my nerves.
Wrecker and Omega are off somewhere doing gods knows what. Tech and Echo are for some reason running scans on the cruiser. I'm not sure what Hunter is doing, I had to get out of the ship before I could see. I had to get out of there because I can hear them… the screams of the fallen Jedi and fallen crew of this cruiser… of all these cruisers. There's so much death and so much pain, It's hard to distinguish what's real life and what's spirits sometimes.
"Hey"
I opened my eyes and turned around to see Hunter coming out of the ship. I smiled and replied
"Hey" he came and stood next to me as we looked out over the graveyard. After a minute or two, he said
"You okay?" I wrapped my arms around me and said
"Yeah just…" He cut me off by saying
"You can still hear them?"
"It's hard to switch off some times"
I then moved to sit down on a platform nearby. I was partially facing him whilst looking over at the ships. Hunter then said something that caught me off guard
"You've got a few more scars since we last met. Rex really shot you?" I looked down at my shoulder and completely forgot that I had taken my cloak off. I placed my hand on the rather large scar just above my heart and replied
"Yeah, nearly killed me"
"I'm glad it didn't...

Meanwhile…
Omegas P. O. V.
"And that's how you disassemble a thermal explosive. There's tons of live ordnance buried in this shipyard. If you trip one, you need to know how to disable it" I put my hands on my hips and said
"Seems simple enough" Wrecker put his hands on his hips and said
"Well, if you're so sure, here. Disarm it" he then threw the wire cutters at me. As he pressed a button on the bomb I said
"Me? But I only watched you once…" He cut me off by saying
"Ten seconds till we're both goners. Ten, nine…" I crouched down next to the device and muttered
"The conductor feeds the coil expander."
" …eight…"
"This connects to the transmitter."
" …seven…"
"Then what?"
"…six, five, four…" I glanced up at him and said
"I don't know which wire to cut next"
"Better get it right…Three, two, one!" The beeping sped up and I made a snap decision to cut the first wire I saw. Wrecker then said
"Obviously not that one. Too late! Run for it!"
I ran away and took cover behind a rock. However, when the device didn't explode, Wrecker started laughing before he said
"Gotcha" I stepped out from behind the rock and said
"Why didn't it explode?"
"Ha! Because it's a smoke bomb. Do you think I'd let you train with a live explosive? I'm not crazy…You should've seen your face." I went to say something but was cut off when Echo made an appearance. As he approached he said
"Wrecker, Omega, pack it in. Hunter wants us back at the Jedi cruiser" We gathered up our stuff and as we began walking back towards the cruiser, Echo said
"So how'd the test go?" I walked slightly ahead of the pair and said
"I don't wanna talk about it" Wrecker then spoke
"Cheer up, kid. I failed my first disarming test too. With my help, you'll be a pro in no time"
We carried on walking back towards the cruiser Echo muttered
"We've got eyes on us" I looked between the pair as Wrecker replied
"Yeah, I see 'em" His voice was barely a whisper. I the whispered
"How many?" Echo replied
"At least three. Stay casual" He then glanced back at Wrecker and said
"Wrecker, you ready?"
"Waiting on you" The pair then put their helmets off and took off running towards the three scrappers. They managed to stun two of them but one of them got onto their transport platform
"Stop!... Oh, no you don't…. Whoa! I've got this under control" Wreckers actions didn't stop the transporter, he just held on as it kept going, banging into the occasional thing.
As Echo and I ran after them, Echo spoke into his comms
"Hunter, Tech. We were spotted by scrappers" I then said
"Wrecker's in pursuit. He says he has it under control" After I said that Techs voice came over the comms
"That's not comforting." Hunter then said
"Echo, get a visual. We're on our way" Echo replied
"I'm on it" We continued to run after the transport Wrecker was holding onto.
"Whoa!"
Master Petrova then appeared out of the shadows and leapt off a pile of rubble landing on the transport. With one swift movement of her lightsaber, the transport came to a crashing stop. Without a second's hesitation, the rest of us ran over to the crashed transport. Once over there I looked at Wrecker and said
"Are you okay?" He walked off the transport slightly out of breath whilst saying
"I... I was just waiting to make my move" Val let out a small laugh before jumping over the railing and saying
"I see some things haven't changed"
