Chapter 3: Happiness
Kendall Pov:
It's been 1 week since I confessed how I felt to Logan and it's been an awesome week. Katie also came back. She decided she wanted to live with us instead of Mom
"Hey Big Brother" Katie says breaking me out of my thoughts while sitting next to me on the orange sofa
"Hey Baby Sister" I say as I notice she looks really sad
"Hey Ken. Hey Katie" Logan says walking into the apartment
"Hey Logie" I say
"Hi Logan" She says sadly
"Woah Katie what's wrong?" Logan asks immediately concerned
"Katie..?" I say
She doesn't say anything she just runs to me and starts crying
"Hey what's wrong Kates?" I ask using my childhood nickname I had for her
"You guys will hate me" She says
"No we won't" Logan says
Then James and Carlos walk through the door laughing. They stop once they see Logan's worried expression
"What?" Carlos asks
"See for yourself" He says gesturing to me and Katie on the sofa
"Katie?" James asks
"What's going on?" I ask
"Promise you guys will still love me and you won't treat me any differently" She says
"We promise" they all say in unison
"Ok" she says while she starts pacing
"You guys know how I haven't been hanging out with Tyler lately and I've been hanging out with more girls?" She asks
"Yea?" James says
"Well the reason for that is" she says taking a deep breath
"I like girls" she says (In this story Katie is 15 and The Guys are 18)
"Oh come here baby sister" I say opening my arms for her as she runs to them
"Katie you know we love you right?" I ask
"You do?" She asks
"Of course Katie-Kat" Carlos says
"We don't hate you just because you like Girls" Logan says
"We're proud of you for coming out" James says
"Thanks guys" Katie says
"You're welcome Katie" Logan says walking up and Hugging her
Kendall Pov:
Later that day, Kendall and Logan are on Kendall's bed in their room. Katie's in the living room watching a movie and James and Carlos are out on dates
"I can't believe Katie likes girls" I say
"I know right. How could she ever think we wouldn't love her just because she likes girls though?" Logan asks
"Not every family is accepting of their children or siblings being that way. And Katie and Mom still don't know about me" I say
"Wanna tell Katie?" Logan asks
"Hmmm" I pretend to think
"Katie!" Logan calls
"Yes?" She says coming into our room
"Shut the door and come here" I say
She shuts the door and comes closer and sits at the end of my bed
"Am I in trouble?" She asks clearly scared
"No" Logan says
"Ok then What's up?" She asks
"Katie do you know the reason why we accept you?" I ask
"Because your my brothers and you love me?" She guesses
"That's part of the reason" I say
"Ken just tell her already" Logan says
"Fine fine. Katie I accept you because I love you obviously but I also accept you because I like guys" I say
Katie just stands there shocked with her eyes wide and her jaw dropped
"Shocked?" Logan asks chuckling
"Very" She says
"And one more thing" Logan
"What?" She asks
"Me and Logan are dating" I say
She gasps
"Congrats" she squeals
"Thanks. Hey I've been meaning to ask you is there anyone you like?" Logan asks
"There is but there is not way I can be with her" she says
"I doubt that" I say
"Who is it?" Logan asks
"Lucy" Katie says
"Oh" Kendall says
"Yea. I told you there is no I can be with her since she's to old for me" she says sadly
Logan whispers something into my ear
"Katie why don't you go hang out with Lucy" I suggest
"Ok" she says running out the room
Once we hear the door shut Logan asks
"If they started dating, would you have a problem with that?"
"No not really. Only because I know Lucy. I know if she did return Katie's feelings, she'd never hurt Katie"
"Good to know" he says smirking
I chuckle a bit "I'm tired lets go to bed"
"Good night Kenny. I Love you" Logan says
"Good Night Logie. I Love you too" I say
End of pov
Lucy Pov:
I'm bored in my bedroom watching tv then I hear a soft knock on my door
"Hey Katie" I say surprised to see her
"Hey" she says
"Come in" I say
"Thanks"
"Does Kendall know your here?"
"Yes"
"Ok well What's up" I ask her as we sit down in my room on my bed
"I have 2 very important things I need to talk to you about"
"Ok?"
"Lucy, I don't know how to say this so I'm just gonna come right out and say it" she says taking a deep breath
After another deep breath she says "Okay Lucy, The first things is that I like girls" She says. I can tell by the way she acted after she said it that she was scared of my reaction
"Oh Katie that's wonderful. Does Kendall and the guys know?" I ask
"Yes. They all accept me"
"That's great. What's the second thing you wanted to talk to me about?" I ask curiously
"This is the hard part" She says
"Katie...?" I ask
"Lucy I like you a lot. You're such an awesome girl and you're always there to talk to whenever I'm sad and I can't go to the guys and I just really like you. I'm sorry" Katie says running out
I stand there shocked
3 weeks later Lucy goes to the guys' apartment. She knocks and Logan opens the door
"Hey Logan. Have you seen Katie?" I ask
"She's in her room why?"
"3 weeks ago she confessed her feelings for me and then ran out of my apartment and she's been avoiding me for the past 3 weeks. I just wanted to make sure she was ok" I explain
"Thanks for Caring Luce but I have a question"
"Okay"
"Do you feel the same way about Katie?" He asks
"I've been thinking it over these past 3 weeks and Yes I do. I really really like Katie"
"Katie!" Logan calls
"Yes Logan?"
"Someone's at the door for you"
"Hey Katie" I say once she sees me
"Hi Lucy" she says sadly
"Can we talk?" I ask
"Sure" She says
"Katie listen I know you like me and I know you scared I don't like you back"
I noticed Logan, Kendall, James, and Carlos standing behind Katie
"Katie guess what" I say
"What?"
I made a bold move and Kissed her to see if she could guess
"You like me back?"
"Yes Katie. I like you back" I say
She squeals and hugs me
We hear cheers behind us
"It's about time" Logan says
"Yea we've been rooting for you since Katie told us about her crush" James explains
"Katie Knight, would you like to officially be my girlfriend?" I ask
"Yes Lucy Stone. I would love to be your girlfriend"
