"Daniel, wait."
He turned around, frowning. She could tell by his disappointed expression that her inability to share her true feelings was hurting him.
"I know you want me to open up and be honest with you... and I'm sorry I don't exactly live up to your expectations… but I'll get there, eventually. I know I will."
He gave her that smile that could melt her heart in an instant and closed the distance between them.
"Come here," he whispered, taking her into his arms.
No matter what demons were haunting her, she wasn't alone to deal with them anymore.
