"You… You kept my things?" She asked incredulously, shuffling through the large box Daniel had dropped on her bed.
Everything was there. From her jewelry box to her toiletries. She pulled out her long abandoned leather outfit.
"It feels like a lifetime ago," she whispered wistfully.
"You've grown since then."
"I've grown soft," she retorted.
Staying on Earth would soften her even more, but it was alright. She trusted Daniel enough to give it a try.
"I blame you for it," she said, turning to him.
Her lips slowly curved up into a genuine smile and he mirrored it heartily.
