The archeologist had finally asked Vala for a dance and they were gently swaying to the music of the first - and hopefully last - SGC Halloween party.
"I heard General Landry saying he'll organise another one of these next year..."
"Dear god," moaned Daniel before she could finish.
"... so we might want to arrange getting stranded off-world or something."
"Or we could just take some holidays," he mused.
They'd gotten quite close over the years, and it wouldn't be the first time they'd spend some time off together.
"I'd love that," she said softly, meeting his eyes with a genuine smile.
