"Why didn't you come to me?" He asked while she grabbed her jacket.
"By the time you came back, I was too upset to let you change my mind."
He sighed and stepped between her and the door, catching her eye.
"At least I hope you believe me, now. You don't need to pretend to be someone you're not. You are enough just the way you are."
She bit her lip and he could tell he was getting to her this time. She took a shaky breath, struggling to keep her composure.
"I think I'm starting to," she confessed quietly.
