As they talked, Vala snatched the half-eaten protein bar from Daniel's lap, and he grabbed the water bottle she had lodged between her thighs.
"Maaan, I wish you two wouldn't do that."
They froze and looked at Mitchell in stunned silence.
"What? Share food and water?" asked Daniel incredulously.
"It's more the being all close and casual and comfortable about it."
"Well, I'm sorry if I'm comfortable around my teammate," replied Vala defensively.
Mitchell looked around to Sam and Teal'c for support, but found none.
"You know what? Forget I said anything."
Daniel and Vala shared a look and shrugged.
