As a literal Power Ranger who's spent a couple years in space, you'd think I've seen everything. I thought so too, until today. Someone's put a free magazine rack in front of a cafe that we frequent, and I grab one, curious to see what the media's like since I've been in cryosleep.

My jaw drops, because apparently the media is full of… what the hell?

"Guys, come look!" Drinks in hand, Damon, Leo, and Maya gather around me, each peering down at the photos of the Kendrix doppelganger. She's gorgeous, decked out in full makeup and extravagant outfits for each theme, and Damon, Maya and I sneak a peek at Leo's expression. He's managed to school his face into something of an uninterested gaze, but he can't fool me that easily. That look of disinterest is one that I'd had each time the Space Rangers would bring up Zayne, and even that didn't last long, since we'd eventually gotten together. Also, the telepathic and emotional link that Zayne and I shared? Yeah, past tense. Now, that link connects me to Leo.

You okay there, lover boy? The Red Ranger glances up at me, a joking scowl on his face.

Just fine, Kara. Just. Fine.

"Okay, Kendrix's never mentioned that she's got a famous twin," Damon murmurs, taking the magazine from my grasp and thumbing through the pages, "She's gonna flip out when we show her."

"Hey, Kendrix," Leo drawls, a mischievous glint in his eyes as we step into the gym, "I didn't know you were a movie star." He hands her the magazine, and I grin as she gazes down at the pictures.

"She… she looks like me," she murmurs in disbelief.

"Yeah, and check out the cover!" Leo flips the magazine over, and we all gaze down in wonder at the beautiful movie star.

"This is the place," I observe, noting the camera equipment, as well as the movie star it surrounds, "Let's go!" Damon chuckles at my excitement, and I make a face at him as we pull up to the curb. Before I can make my way over with the others, though, I spot Kendrix with her butt still occupying the passenger seat of Kai's car, and I frown.

"C'mon, it'll be fun!" Leo beats me to her, though, taking her hand, and try as I might to shove it down, I can't help but miss Zayne. His hand is small compared to the other guys', but somehow, mine is even smaller, so our hands always fit perfectly together. Just like how Leo and Kendrix's do.

Kendrix finally gets to her feet, and I wipe the sadness off my face, grinning at her. "Your twin awaits, 'Drix!" But before we can even do so much as introduce ourselves, one of the cameras explodes in a shower of sparks, and I spin, searching for the source of the explosion.

Ah, just great. A monster with a chain of purple beads around its neck and a strange pointy hat stands there, the remains of the camera clutched in its hands.

Leo, Kendrix, and I exchange glances, and understanding passes between us. "Hey, stop, hold it right there!" The blonde shouts as we race for the monster, but as we approach, it opens up a strange book.

"I don't think so!" Suddenly, one of the pages flashes blue and flies through the air. The moment it sticks onto Kendrix's leg, it combusts, sending her to the ground, clutching the limb and groaning. "No one's going to stop me. I'll find those lights if it's the last thing I do!"

Lights? If that monster is still searching for "lights", it must mean that the Lights of Orion are still missing. Bad for them, good for us.

"Can you stand?" Damon asks, and Kendrix nods, although still needing our assistance to get up.

"Yeah, I think I'm okay now." But as we turn back to Carolyn, we realize that the same might not be true for Kendrix's look-alike.

"Is she hurt?"

"I sure hope not," the man clad in gray, who must be Carolyn's manager replies, "Are you hurt-"

"Yes!" I can't help but cringe back at her abrasive tone, "My ankle!"

"Hey," Damon begins, "That's her!" The look of concern on Kai's face fades back into a smile as he glances over at Kendrix.

"Wow. She really does look like you!" At Kendrix's silence, I nearly cringe again. Maybe not the best thing to say, especially since she was hesitant about getting out of the car at all. Somehow, Carolyn's manager appears even more shocked than we were at finding the magazine, his jaw wide in disbelief as he stands.

"You do! You look exactly the same!" The manager reaches up, taking off her glasses, making Kendrix look even more like Carolyn. I glance back and forth between the two, eyes widening. Dang. Leave it to one of my friends to be literally as pretty as a movie star. "It's uncanny-" Suddenly, the man gasps, making me jump, and snaps his fingers. "You could take her place."

"What?" Carolyn leaps to her feet, and I frown. Should she be moving like that with an injured ankle? "Ow. Ow ow ow." Okay, that's a no.

"At least until it gets better?"

"B-but… I'm not an actress," Kendrix stutters, which for whatever reason makes the manager laugh. Famous people have always been weird to me, and this just solidifies my opinion.

"There's nothing to it." The manager reaches up, clasping her hand in both of his, and to my utter shock, begins begging.

"Well…" Kendrix glances up at us and I give her a thumbs up. I mean, why not? Some extra money would be nice, "Okay, I'll do it."

I really can't do this stupid technique. Even though my Galaxy Gauntlet weighs next to nothing on my arms, whenever I try to land the flip at the end of my combo, the weapon throws me off balance and onto the floor.

Unfortunately, though, there's nothing to do except try again. A deep breath in and out later, I lower my stance and begin the combo of moves, slashing out with my right blade, then my left. Arms now crossed in front of me, I push against an imaginary foe, cutting into them, both blades parallel to each other. Then, gathering all the momentum left from my swings, I flip into the air, simultaneously pressing a button on my gauntlet. As my feet hit the training mat, the metal of my blades sing against the metal of my gauntlet, and stick right into the-

"Bullseye!" A push of the same button recalls the blades back into my gauntlet, and I spin to the source of the voice, seeing Leo there, "I've never seen you use that one before, Kara."

"That's because I couldn't do it up until now," I mutter sheepishly, "took a while, but I got it down."

Leo says nothing in response, and I frown as he scratches the back of his neck.

"What's up?"

"I guess I just wanted to say I'm sorry." Oh. "I took away the one thing you had left of your team. Of Zayne."

"Don't apologize for something that's out of your control," I reply softly, walking over to him as I unstrap my Gauntlet from my arms, fold it back into its Transdagger form.

"But you've been sad, and angry too. I can feel it, even if you don't show it." It's thanks to the bond that he can do that, know what I'm feeling. And deep down, I hate that he has that ability.

"Look. I'm not angry at you or Kendrix, okay? I'm angry at the situation. Honestly, having a bond like we do is helpful, believe it or not. Mostly because you'll know when I'm going to do things like this." Without a warning, I go to grab his hand to flip him onto the mat, but he's fast, pivoting out of range.

"Okay, I see how it is," Leo teases, and I grin as we start to pace around each other.

"First to hit the mat washes the dishes tonight?"

"Deal." He steps forward, angling his upper body to the right, but it's a feint. So, I duck under the punch from his left arm, spin around him, and go to jab my elbow into his back, but of course, the bond goes both ways. Leo anticipates my movement and when he turns to face me, I can't move away fast enough, and he grabs my arm, twisting it behind my back. His closeness sends prickles of tension down my spine, but he still doesn't let go. Lost in thought, maybe? Worried about Kendrix? Both?

Either way, it doesn't matter. I bring my right leg up, kicking it back into his ankle. Leo yelps, grip loosening, and I wiggle out of his grasp. As smooth as my Snake Zord, I drop, sweep my leg out in a kick, and watch triumphantly as he staggers… then, my vision tilts. Before the Red Ranger can contact the ground, he kicks out my stationary leg, and the wind's knocked out of me as I'm pinned to the mat.

"Nice moves, Red," I whisper, afraid to break the tenuous silence between us. This entire time, I'd thought he understood about the bond. That I don't hate him or Kendrix, that I could never bring myself to feel such a thing when the blame isn't on them. So it hurts to know that one of my new friends is hurting, especially since it's because of me, "Now would you kindly let me get up?"

For a moment, he's silent, gaze searching my face as if he's still trying to confirm that I don't despise him, and it's so powerful that I have to look away. Leo takes a breath, probably about to say something, but when the automatic doors slide open, he stands, offering me a hand up. I take it, squeezing it softly, hoping that despite everything, he knows I trust him with my life.

We arrive at the film set just in time for Leo to knock back the Wise Wizard's attack. The flash of worry that zips through me is strengthened tenfold by the Red Ranger's own panic, and I help Kendrix up.

"You were saying?"

"Once I find the Lights of Orion, you'll be powerless against me!" At least he's not attacking us, but that doesn't mean we can just let him run off, either.

"Let's go, guys!" We rush after our foe, eventually coming to a stop in a forest clearing. He opens his book again, and dozens of pages fly out, sticking to our suits. Here we go. I brace myself for the explosions, but none come. Instead, I realize that I can barely even move a muscle, and I struggle against the restraints. With Kendrix still injured, at least one of us needs to be able to help her.

"It's no use, Rangers. You've done your last good deed-"

"Hey, don't touch them!"

"Oh, you're back for more?"

"Kendrix, be careful!" I shout, and she gives me a nod, leaping into action. With her injuries, though, she doesn't last long against the Wizard, and I fight even harder as she's thrown into the bushes.

"No!" My eyes shut tightly, tears starting to flow down my cheeks. Leo's pain flies down the bond, and it melds with my own, strengthening our sadness and fear until it turns to sorrow, despair.

"It's no use, pink loser. It's over-" The stupid monster and its stupid hat had spoken way too soon. Kendrix flies out of the bushes, knocking Wise Wizard back with a kick, then with a few arrows from her Beta Bow. One of the shots destroys his book, and its pages fly off my limbs. It's never felt so good to just be able to take a few steps before.

"I never give up!"

"So you've got your friends back. Big deal!"

"Suddenly, you're a little shorthanded," Leo shoots back, and his determination meets my own again, leaving me fired up and ready to fight.

"Well then, meet my entourage!" If your only "entourage" is a swarm of bug-like creatures, you probably live a pretty sad life, I observe as we charge against the Stingwingers. One of them leaps into the air, aiming straight for my face, but I drop and slide, and when I come back up, I use their speed against them, knocking them to the ground. Something swings into the air behind me, and I spin just in time to block a punch, proceeding to jab the Stinger with my free arm until they fall as well.

I take the momentary lull in the fight to glance over at Kendrix, and I nearly cheer when I spot her taking down the Wizard. Let's finish this.

Leo nods, and we gather up together. "Quasar Launchers, lock on!" The blasts from our new weapons is enough to take the monster down when its our size, but I brace myself, knowing that that won't last long.

"You're looking kind of puny," the Wizard observes from its new vantage point, and I frown, crossing my arms.

"I hate that word."

"Me too," Kendrix agrees, "Galactabeasts, arise!" I've got to admit: standing atop her Zord, she's the most badass woman I think I've ever seen. And none of that's coming from the link Leo and I share.

"Zords, transform now!" Loverboy himself shouts, and I pat the head of my snake as it begins to turn into metal.

"Galaxy Megazord, transform!" That's another thing, too. Kendrix and Leo make an amazing duo, and I smile fondly. Hopefully this means the day will come soon when they stop begging me for stories from being a Space Ranger, "Okay guys, let's show him what we're made of!" Wise Wizard charges for us, but he's much too slow, so we're able to catch his staff and deal a few strikes of our own. "Condor Galactazord, missile mode, fire!"

I cheer as the monster collapses, clapping my hands together. "Kendrix, you're absolutely crazy."

"Oh Bobby, I'll miss you so much. Oh, Bobby, I'll miss you so-" Kendrix turns, sandwich in hand, and when she spies us in the doorway, I giggle.

"You're literally crazy, 'Drix."

"How's the starlet?" Leo asks, and Damon walks over to the counter, the other half of her meal.

"What, you're gonna give up science for acting now?" Kendrix chuckles at this, and I give her a playful shove as I rummage through our fridge for the water bottle I need to finish up.

"Hey, look!" Kai calls, and I squint over at them, "Carolyn's on TV."

"You know, most people wanna be like stars," Leo comments, "but I wish Carolyn wishes she were more like you." There's no need for me to even check what he's sending over our bond right now. His feelings for Kendrix are clear as day in his tone, and I smile softly, closing the fridge and walking over to the TV.

"Nah. I bet you she doesn't even remember me." But when Carolyn dedicates her newly obtained award to 'Drix, I glance over at her, smile growing wider.

"She taught me the value of keeping a promise, and working hard. Thanks Kendrix. This is for you."
