Abeke stalked down the dusty corridors of the ship, still seething. How dare Shane do something like that!
The girl glanced down at the leopard-shaped tattoo on her arm. The way Urazas eyes seemed to bore into hers, even in passive state, was unsettling.
But it was amazing! She had finally developed enough trust between her and her spirit animal for Uraza to be willing to go into passive state!
Abeke's face brightened. Shane had only been trying to help.
Stopping at her rooms door, Abeke hear a faint bumping noise beneath her.
She wondered what it was, as she had been told her room was on the lowest floor of the large ship.
She summoned Uraza. Instantly, her senses heightened, and her eyes fixed on a loose plank in the seemingly blank floor.
Reaching forward, Abeke pulled, and was startled to find that a trapdoor fell away from the floor.
Abeke was inclined not to go down, with the voice of her father urging her to be sunseble ringing in her head, but her curiosity overwhelmed her.
Followed by Uraza, she started to make her way down the ladder.
Into the darkness.
I'm sorry this chapter (basically paragraph) was SO short, but I need to go somewhere,
so I had to end it earlier than originally planned. So sorry! I will
finish it when I have time!
Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving, to those of you who celebrate it!
