As Sean and Jennifer ran to the entranced to the ruins, they both just heard a scream. They then gulped before they continued into the ruins.

Inside, they first looked around. The ruin was full of moos, spider webs and ancient, destroyed statues. As they continued walking Sean pulled out his Journal

"There is a total of three traps and two challenges in this temple. The first trap is to be said- exactly that."

Sean pointed to the Geodude, who was pierced on the wall by multiple arrows.

Jennifer gulped. "h-how do we avoid this?"

"Easy." said Sean and pointed at a gap on the ground. He then went into the gap as he crawled through the trap.

Jennifer shivered but crawled behind Sean, avoiding trap one.

"That was with water once. They had to dive in the gap to avoid the trap and many Intruders did not do that."

"Interesting."

As they went deeper into the ruins, a door suddenly trapped both in a tight corridor, as the walls started to move.

"That's the second trap. If we don't find the leaver or switch to turn it off were pancakes!"

Jennifer panicked and hugged Sean. "I hate tight places."

Sean pat her and smiled. "Its ok Jenny."

As Jennifer then looked up, she saw a small rope.

"Sean. Throw me up."

Sean nodded and threw Jennifer upwards, as she grabbed the rope and struggled to pull it down. Sean then grabbed her legs and pulled her down with the rope until...

*click*

The walls stopped moving and the door opened.

"That was close."

Jennifer was still shivering and Sean calmed her down before they continued.

As they kept walking, Jennifer looked at the writings and caricatures on the walls. She then grabbed Sean and pointed at them

"Look. These Pokémon don't look like water Pokémon. They look more like ground Pokémon."

"Maybe that's why they worshipped a water Pokémon. They gave them the substance to grow crops and drink water. The Lapras was the reason they survived before people found water deep in the earth."

"Then why did they got whipped out?"

"That's what I am still researching but my guess is that they crumbled like every big nation would sooner or later."

"Sounds reasonable."

They then stumbled on a room with a lot of webs and strange sounds. As they both continued walking, they noticed that the noise gets louder and louder until-

"DUCK"

Sean yelled that and threw himself and Jennifer down, as a sawblade flew above their heads. Jennifer then shoved Sean away and jumped to the other side as a sawblade from the ground came flying into their directions. They then sneaked past the sawblades that fly across their heads until they saw the end of the tip, where the sawblades move along. Sean then threw a rock into the pit on the ground and side and jammed the sawblades. He then looked at Jennifer and both sighed relived before they continued.

As they went deeper into the ruins, they found a huge field with stones, moos and plants everywhere. On the walls left and right were gigantic, golden Lapras statues. Sean and Jennifer sat down on the moos for a bit to rest.

"You know…I barely slept the night after you tolled me all the stuff and I think you're right. I would've tolled him to keep going. I would've wanted him to let me go. But at the same time…"

Sean then sighed, hold the bandana and smiled

"I still think he's following me. Staying close to me. Watching me be safe. And I would've done the same thing to him"

Jennifer, who was eating a berry, smiled and said "well I am here now"

Sean playfully punched Jennifer's arm, before he got up.

"I see that we have to cross a bridge. It looks…unsafe. Like its going to crash down in any minute."

Sean then ran up to the bridge and smiled, as he looked down to the abyss.

"I like it"

Sean carefully put one foot on the bridge. It creaked and Sean gulped.

"I'll come when you're on the other side. We will be to heavy and the bridge will crash down." said Jennifer.

Sean hold tightly on the rope that was holding the bridge together as he crossed it until he got to the other side.

"NOW YOU." yelled Sean to Jennifer.

As Jennifer put her foot on the bridge, the weak wood snapped as she nearly fell down, holding herself on the rope tightly and moving herself to the safe wood on the bridge. She then gulped and crossed the bridge very slowly.

After she got to the other side, she hugged Sean and shivered. "I-I nearly died."

"It's ok Jenny", said Sean. "We're nearly there. Look."

Jennifer looked up from Sean and saw a giant golden door.

"That is the first challenge, and it's a Riddle"

"What is the riddle?"

Sean got closer to the door and looks at the writing, then pulls out his journal.

"Its an ancient language." He then reads what's written on the door, and then in his journal.

"hmm…. The riddle is…. "You're everything with me and nothing without me. What am I?"

Sean looked a bit perplexed at the writing and scratched his head.

"Well…they mean you need it to live. So, it could be…."

"THE WATER!"

As soon as Jennifer yelled that, the door opened slowly to reveal a room with a ground, that is made out of tiles. Sean then turns the pages and then looks at the ground and then sees Jennifer stepping on one of the tiles.

"NO" he yelled and yanked her away, as the tile crumbled and fell down a huge hole.

"S-sorry" said Jennifer quietly, as Sean gave her a stern glance and then sighed, before reading something from his Journal.

"To cross the path to our holy shrine, you need to cross the path of our god…"

"So- Lapras right?"

"Yes, but look at the tiles." Said Sean and pointed at the them. "they don't have letters on them, but symbols."

"Like the ones on the door or the ones I saw?"

"The ones on the door. What you saw was a drawing from the civilization to show what they worshipped."

"Oh right" said Jennifer.

Sean then showed Jennifer his Journal. The two pages he shows her are scribbled with symbols and letters.

"Every symbol represents a letter and the Symbol that looks like Litleo means we need to step on this tile" Says Sean as he put his foot on the tile, which broke immediately .

"AH FU- "

Before Sean fell down, Jennifer grabbed Sean's bag and pulled him away from the hole.

Sean then sat down, shocked and turned wildly on the pages of his Journal.

"I-I forgot…the name…THERE" he then said, then looked at the tile and pointed at the tile that has a wave symbol.

Jennifer stepped on the tile and…

Nothing happened.

Sean then nodded "Ill be one tile behind you Jenny. The next one is a jump away from you" he said, as he pointed at the thunder symbol. As Jennifer jumped onto the thunder tile, Sean stepped on the wave tile. And in that rhythm, they continued. She then jumped onto the tile with a thread symbol, then another one, then on a tile with an ice symbol and the last one was the thunder symbol.

As Jennifer waited at the end for Sean, she wondered what the name of the Lapras was. Wave…thunder…ice…?

As Sean also got to the other Side, he looked at Jennifer and smiled. "It's Nessie"

"Nessie?"

"Yes, and were getting close. We dodged all the traps and solved both challenge."

As they continued they walked into a golden hallway with four Lapras statues until they arrived in a big, golden hall that's noticeable went with the ages. A pathway led to the middle where there was a a flute, a piece of paper and a small Lapras Statue. The rest of the hall is covered in Water.

As they went to the Statue and the Flute, Sean grabbed the Statue, looked at it and a few tears of happiness dropped on the Statue.

"Finally…" said Sean, as he put the Statue in his bag and whipped his tears. He then picked up the Flute and the piece of Paper. Written on the Paper are Music notes and a Sentence that reads:

-Play the Melody to wake her up-

"Wake up…who?" asked Sean out loud to himself, which made Jennifer excitedly reply with "Lets find out"

Sean nodded and played the Melody on the flute. Then, from the depths of the Fountain, a Lapras emerged. Its Body was a faded blue and wrinkled and its shell cracked with missing pieces.

"Oh my God…"

That's all they both could mutter, as the Lapras then looked down at both of them

"I am Nessie. Queen of the Quicksand desert. You have woken me up from my century long slumber. Answer me who you are?"

"W-Were Rescue and treasure hunting Team Ruby" said Jennifer.

"And why are you here"

"I wanted to find the Treasure…the statue of Nessie….for someone" said Sean, as he pulled out the statue. "M-my old partner..always wanted it"

"A Totodile. Am I right?"

Sean looked shocked at Nessie. How did she know?

"Y-yes. Toti was his name and…he said that you're his ancestor. His physical form may be gone but he still exists in our heart and minds"

Nessie then got upset and sighed.

"First, I lost my Husband, then my kingdom fell, after that I hid myself in this temple for safety and now…I have to her that I wont never see my grand-grandson."

She then started to cry and got hugged by Sean and Jennifer. She then lowered her head so Jennifer could wipe her tears away as Nessie started to tell a story.

"A century ago, me and my husband ruled over a kingdom in this desert. We gave them water to live and they in return worshipped us. Until one day my nation got attacked by a Garchomp. We fought the Dragon but like you see, we lost and my husband died. After that I hid in this hidden temple my nation build me and could only watch, as they got whipped out. At least my son could safe himself…"

She then sighed and looked at Sean and Jennifer with a smile.

"Get on my shell and hold your breaths"

As both got on Nessies shell, she dives down into a small cave, where a small, golden statue of a Lapras and a Feraligatr on a throne was standing on a podium. Sean grabbed the statue and watched the podium crumble togheter, as Nessie popped out of the water.

The room began to shake and crumble, as the wall behind them broke open and a big water fountain shot out.

"T-there was a fourth trap…" Sean said before Nessie grabbed him and Jennifer and rushed out of the room and the hallway. They then crossed the tile puzzle room very quickly and ran to the bridge.

As they went on the bridge all of the sudden the bridge broke but all three could hang onto the rope and climbed up the rope to safety.

Jennifer the screamed "LOOK" as they watched one of the Lapras statues crashing down and breaking into pieces. They then looked back for a bit, saw that the water is getting closer and kept running.

They then kept running down the field and then the narrow hall, passing through the jammed Sawblade trap, the shutoff wall trap and crawled through the gap in the arrow trap. As they got out and turned around, they saw the whole Temple crumbling down and a bit of water spraying out of the cracks of the crumbled temple.

"There it is now…gone…"

Sean then petted Nessie before they went back to Sabia town.

As they arrived back at the town, Snapper greeted them with a smile again until he saw the Lapras.

"You were successful travelers. You got the treasure and- is that…the Lapras from the legend?"

Everyone then looked at Sean Jennifer and Nessie and when Sean pulled out both Statues from his bag, the whole town and a few travelers all wanted to catch a glimpse at the Treasures and wanted to know how they did that.

After Sean tolled everyone what happened, Sean, Nessie and Jennifer went to the local bar to celebrate and then went to the Hotel to sleep and get some fresh energy for the way back home.
