Narcissa made her way down to the brig. She wanted to have a word with Will. As she walked down the stairs she paused, hearing Ragetti and Pintel recounting the tale of Bootstrap Bill's death.

Narcissa felt slightly conflicted. She was sad for Will that he lost his father as in a way she could relate. But she was also annoyed that Bootstrap had tried to keep the crew cursed forever. They were pirates who went after gold for goodness sake! The punishment seemed to far outweigh their crime.

She reached the bottom of the stairs and made herself known.

"Miss Barbossa!" exclaimed Ragetti.

"I'd like to have a word with will alone," she stated. Ragetti and Pintel nodded and the two pirates left. She turned to face will who stood separated from her by iron bars.

"Is it true?" Will asked as she stepped closer. Narcissa didn't have to ask what he meant.

"Yes. I'm just as much the daughter of Hector Barbossa as you are the son of Bootstap Bill."

"Why didn't you tell me?" asked Will looking slightly hurt. She understood his feelings as they had been best friends.

"For the same reason I didn't tell Elizabeth. I love you as a brother Will but it was too risky." Will sighed.

"I don't suppose you could help us escape?" Narcissa shooker her head.

"No. I want this curse broken as much as they do. I came here to ask you to cooperate and give your blood willingly." Will looked slightly incredulous.

"My father send me that medallion because he believed they deserved to be cursed. He died because of it. And now you want me to betray his memory by helping his murderers?" Narcissa shook her head.

"No, to help me. Not to mention it's the only way to ensure your survival. They'll get your blood either way but if you cooperate they will likely set you free."

"Maybe. But I won't willingly release them." Declared Will before adding. "I'm sorry Cissa."

Narcissa felt her heart sink. She could see why he would make that decision but it didn't make it any less frustrating. Turning to walk away she said.

"If that's your decision, then so be it." Suddenly Will's voice stopped her.

"How can you care about him after what he did to Elizabeth?" Narcissa glanced back.

"He's my father."

PotC

It was dark by the time they reached Isla de Muerta again. Will's hands were tied and they were led to the cave. Narcissa still hoped she might be able to save him. Her father had said Will wouldn't have to come to harm. But she also understood that if the crew called for Will's death, her father might have no choice but appease them. He couldn't risk looking weak.

Her fears were confirmed when several of the crew members demanded they kill Will to make sure the curse was broken, though her father didn't answer.

This time her father didn't waste time with speeches. Will was dragged up to the chest and her father pulled out a knife. However, he was suddenly interrupted by Jack Sparrow pushing his way through the crowd.

"Jack!" she exclaimed.

"It's not possible," said her father in disbelief.

"Not probable," corrected Jack.

"Where's Elizabeth?" asked Will. Jack shrugged

"Safe, like I promised. She's set to marry Norrington, like she promised, and you get to die for her like you promised. So we're all men of our word, except for Elizabeth, who is in fact a woman."

"Marrying Norrington?" said Narcissa in surprise.

"Aye hoping to save young William here," said Jack.

"Shut up!" Narcissa's father said sharply before moving to cut Will again.

"You don't want to be doing that," said Jack.

"No I really think I do," replied her father.

"Your funeral," Jack muttered casually. Narcissa really was getting sick of this particular pirate and the idea of shooting him was becoming VERY tempting. Her father sighed.

"And why don't I want to be doing it?"

"Because...the HMS Dauntless, the pride of the Royal Navy is floating just off shore waiting for you." Her father made to interrupt but Jack continued.

"Hear me out, mate. Order your men to row out to the Dauntless, they do what they do best, Robert's your uncle, Fanny's your aunt... There you are with two ships. The makings of your own fleet. You'll take the grandest as your flagship and who's to argue? But what of the Pearl? Name me captain, I'll sail under your colors and give you 10% of me plunder and you get to introduce yourself as Commodore Barbossa. Savvy?" Narcissa was incredibly suspicious. This was all to clean cut to be true.

"Just wait to lift the curse until...the...opportune...moment. Say, after you've killed Norrington's men. Every...last...one." Jack punctuated each word by dropping a medallion onto the pile of treasure.

"You've planned this ever since you learned my name," said will in disbelief.

"Yeah," replied Jack. Narcissa was unsurprised but something still felt off.

"I want 50% of your plunder," said her father.

"15" countered Jack.

"40"

"30 and I'll buy you a really big hat," said Jack. Narcissa's father seemed to consider for a moment and then said,

"We have an accord."

"All hands to the boats!" called Jack. Barbossa scowled and he quickly added. "Sorry, you give the orders."

"Gents...take a walk!" her father called to the crew who all began to head out of the cave smirking. As Jack briefly turned away Narcissa approached her father.

"Please don't kill Will," she said softly. "You don't need to." Her father gave her a piercing gaze.

"It really means that much to ye?" Narcissa nodded.

"Very well. The welp can live."

"Thank you," said Narcissa smiling up at him and giving him a brief hug. her father chuckled. Pulling away she raised an eyebrow.

"You don't really trust Jack with this deal do you? He still wants you dead."

"Of course, I don't but I want him to show his hand," her father replied before walking away to speak with Jack.

"I must admit, Jack, I thought I had you figured but it turns out you're a hard man to predict." Narcissa noticed that as he said this her father's hand drifted towards his sword.

"I'm dishonest. And a dishonest man you can trust to be dishonest. Honestly, it's the honest ones you want to watch out for. You can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid." Suddenly Jack grabbed a sword and threw it to Will at the same time as pulling his own. Her father reacted swiftly and began to engage in an incredibly tense sword fight.

A fight with the remaining crew members also ensued. Narcissa ran after Will not only to protect him but also to stop him leaving the cave. One pirate Twig had Will cornered. Narcissa moved to interfere but was beaten to it by Elizabeth of all people hitting the pirate over the head with a wooden board.

"You want pain? Try wearing a corset."

"Nice one Liz," said Narcissa. Elizabeth was dressed in a naval uniform and had clearly snuck away.

"What are you doing here?" asked Will.

"Saving you," replied Elizabeth. The reunion was interrupted by another pirate attacking them. Narcissa blocked his sword, giving Will and Elizabeth time to run a beam through his skeletal form. Glancing over, Narcissa saw her father and Jack still fighting. Moving in and out of patches of moonlight causing both of them to look like skeletons. It looked like Jack had taken a medallion.

Suddenly her father pointed his gun at Elizabeth.

"Stop!" cried Narcissa in fear and confusion. A shot rang out and Narcissa expected Elizabeth to fall to the ground. Then she realized Jack was holding a smoking gun.

"Ten years ye save that pistol and now ye waste yer shot," scoffed her father.

"He didn't waste it!" They all looked to see Will standing over the chest his hand cut and a bloody medallion falling onto the pile of gold.

Authors Note: Just a few chapters to go in this book. Gotta say the sword fight with Barbossa and Jack is probably one of my favorite moments in the franchise. PLEASE let me know your thoughts on the chapter and book in the comments thanks to those who already have and everyone reading this. Until next week!
