Chapter 2
Yen Sid was giving the Rangers a rundown of Hades; explaining just who he is and what his goals were. "Hades is the god of death and ruler of the Underworld" Yen Sid explained "once centuries ago he and his brothers Zeus and Poseidon gods of the sea and sky worked in harmony to keep our world in balance, until his envy at his brother's prosperity became resentment which in turn led to hate and he betrayed his family and assembled his army and began to wage war against them". "Did he ever work with Maleficent?" asked Melody as the Rangers listened to their mentors' story "you told us all the Villains in Disney worked for her either out of fear or respect". "Maleficent did offer him a place in her forces but Hades' power was equal to her own and neither one would willingly share or relinquish power" replied Yen Sid "and now with her destroyed he has assumed command of the villain revolution". "Well stop him Master" said Connor "if we beat Maleficent we can beat him". "Maleficent was one thing Connor" said Yen Sid "Hades is something different". At that moment, the topic of their conversation was meeting with his new generals. "Ok boys" said Hades "oh and lady" he quickly added sending La an apologetic look "I want a new plan to cause the Rangers a bit of trouble" he ordered "and I want it soon". "I've got something" said Facilier using his cane to summon a dark essence "this party animal has no problem getting what he wants" he declared as Hades shot a fireball at the essence which then became a monster dressed in a fine suit you'd see in a mobster film at party scenes, leaning on a cane and had the face of a sneering ape. "Meet Don-Kong" Facilier introduced "made from the essence of King Louie (just so where clear I mean the 2016 version as that is the truly villainous version of the character) he'll make some real trouble in Madison". Back at the tower Yen Sid was continuing his lesson "as god of death any and all lost souls who have fallen answer to Hades commands, that means Rangers he can summon back those that you have defeated before in his own image" he explained gravely. "So, you're saying he could bring back Prince John or Tublat but not as Goldlord or Preda-ape" said Leo "but as something totally different" he asked earning a nod from the wise wizard. Suddenly the mirror began to glow, and the rangers knew just what that meant: trouble. Gathering around the mirror they could see Don-Kong leading Skeleton soldiers and Pirate Ghouls in a raid on the towns bank. "Who's the chimp?" asked Jack as the Rangers turned to Yen-Sid. "King Louie" their mentor explained "a primate king from the same Jungle as Shere Khan he had his subjects pillage the Jungles treasure to feed his own greed and desire for human power". "Let's roll" said Leo as the Rangers raced out the room. Don-Kong was having the time of his life as his troops made their heist. "That's its cousin" said Don-Kong slapping Gaston on the back "together will have power all this land's treasure ours" he declared only for Gaston pushed him off. "Take your stinking paw off me you damned dirty ape" the French hunter growled. "Hey Curious George" said Jack as the Rangers arrived on the scene already in their Ranger armour "I think you're lost the Zoo is that way" he declared as the Rangers drew their weapons and found themselves in combat with the evil warriors. As per usual in these fight Leo found himself fighting with Gaston, James with Facilier, Jack with Hook, Melody and Jessie tag teaming La while the Chaos Rangers fought with the Skeleton warriors and Jessica fought with Don-Kong. "Normally I hate animal abuse" the amber Ranger declared spinning her flute overhead "but for you I'll make an exception". "Well," said Don-Kong "Oh, oobee doo" he sang pushing her back and began shooting energy bananas at the rangers. "This guy is making monkey's out of us" cried Traci in frustration as she dodged a blast before noticing the looks her friends were giving her "sorry somebody had to say it". "Jack let's give him the flying sparrow" said James earning a thumbs up from the green Ranger. James threw his spear into the air and Jack leaped unto it using it as a springboard as he lunged at Don-Kong in the air. "Sparrow Strike" cried Jack as his green aura developed and he delivered a slash at the monster with his knife closely followed by James falling spear. "Let's see how you handle this Rangers" said Gaston using his sword to shot lightning at Don-Kong turning him into a giant. "I've reached the top" cried Don-Kong as Jessie gave Gaston an annoyed look "yeah we handle that like usually couple times a week" she clarified. "You guys handle the suit wearing King Kong" said Connor as he took Leo's place against Gaston "well handle things here". The Rangers soon summoned the Megazord. "Twin blades" they cried as they clashed against Don-Kong's cane. "Let see how you Rangers handle this" said Don-Kong shooting a burst of fire from his mouth. "Rangers" said Yen-Sid via their link as a new essence developed before them "a new essence has revealed itself it is Akela leader of the wolf pack that opposed both Shere Khan and King Louie he will aid you". The essence soon turned into a wolf Zord that was a deep navy colour. "Now were talking" Cheered James as the wolf Zord leaped onto Don-Kong and slashed with its claws. "Wolf Zord combine" The Rangers cried as the Dove Zord detached itself and the Wolf morphed into an arm and attached itself in its place. "Howling Blaster" cried the Rangers as the Wolf Zord let out burst of blue flames along with an ear-piercing howl. "Whoa" cried Don-Kong before he went up in a burst of blue fire. The four villains soon returned to the fortress and found Hades merely looking intrigued. "I gotta admit" the Lord of the Dead said with a shrug "these Rangers may not be so helpless after all" he declared as a wicked smirk crossed his face and a pitchfork with two slots near the points appeared in his hand "maybe I should check them out personally".
