Chapter 3
The Rangers had begun yet another training exercise with Yen Sid. Unlike the other exercises they weren't wondering a maze but rather their mentor had them switch weapons. "Eh master don't take this the wrong way" said Jack as he held Melody's trident against Vanessa who had Connor's sword "but what the heck are you thinking with this?". "To properly combat Hades, you must learn to use each other's strength as if it were your own" explained Yen Sid handing Jessie Theo's lance and Leo Traci's mace "practicing with each other's weapon's is the best way to begin learning just what that means". "No offense Jessica" said Traci holding her flute "but I think I prefer my mace for fighting and guitars for music". The Rangers continued this exercise for another hour until Yen Sid allowed them to take a break. "Has there been any sign of the three remaining morpher's or essences master?" asked Jessica. "There have been none yet" replied Yen Sid as he began pouring Tea for his students "but we must keep looking, our team must be whole to make a true stand against the forces of Darkness". Suddenly the window from the top of the tower began to glow and that could mean only one thing: the mirror…which could also mean one thing: trouble. Yen Sid teleported himself and the Rangers into the tower and from the mirror they could see the skeletal warriors marching on Madison with their usual enemies…and no one else. "There's no monster this time" said Connor in confusion. "Unless you count the meathead in red and the quack with the top hat" said Jack earning snickers from his friends. "There may be no monster present Rangers but nevertheless I want you to use extreme caution" said Yen Sid "there is no telling what they may have planned" he warned as the Rangers left the tower. The Rangers soon meet their enemies just before they could enter the town. "No one to introduce us to this time?" asked Leo as the Rangers summoned their weapons…and the villains only smirked as before the Rangers in a burst of blue flames did Hades himself appear. "Woah" said Jack stepping back "ok that we weren't expecting". "Hey kids" said Hades as he slowly walked forward "my friends have told me so much about you guys that I just had to meet you in person". "We'll you meet us" said Connor "now how about you let us show you the way back to where you came from". "Ha" Hades laughed "a teenager with attitude, glad to see somethings are multiversal". Hades then proceeded to shot a blast of flame at the Rangers who just had barely been able to dodge. Flames soon enveloped Hades and when they faded his robe had been replaced by pitch black armour with a skeletal design and a helmet resembling a skull on his head and in his hand a pitchfork appeared. Hades soon lunged at the Rangers who scrambled to avoid his strike. Leo and Connor lunged at Hades who blocked their strikes with his pitchfork. Jack, James and Traci fought with him briefly until he pushed them back with burst of flame. Theo snuck up from behind him and tried to grab him only to be thrown over Hades's shoulder. "Come on kids" laughed Hades "at least make it a challenge for me". "How can we stop him?" whispered Jessie "he's too powerful". "Maybe what Yen Sid said" suggested Melody "using each other's strength as our own". The two Rangers exchanged looks and ran at Hades switching their weapons as they did catching the lord of the Underworld off guard. This allowed the Rangers to push him back. The other Rangers soon caught on to what their fairy and mermaid themed allies were doing and quickly joined in and switched weapons. James swung his girlfriend's mace at the evil god in a wild arc and Hades could only just dodge before running straight into Jessica who rammed the butt of Jack's knife against his helmet. This lasted for several minutes as Hades had no way to defend himself as the Rangers employed unfamiliar tactics then what they would individually implore against him. "Ok Kiddies" said Hades as he dismissed his armour, his eyes losing all trace of humour "I think this game…has gone on long enough" he roared his skin turning a dark red as his flaming hair rose up turning orange in rage. Hades held out his hand and a dark essence appeared…unlike the others however it didn't burn with blue flames but instead glowed an earthy shade of black. "All right big boy" said Hades throwing the essence into the air "let's rock and roll" he declared as the essence transformed into a gargantuan creature made of black rocks with two heads both with blood red eyes. "RAAAGGHH" the giant roared as Hades and his generals disappeared. "Rangers be careful" Yen Sid warned them telepathically "this one of the Titans: Hades most dangerous creatures, this particular one is known as Lythos the Mountain King, he is powerful Rangers you must find new strength to defeat him". "We managed to stop Hades by switching weapons" said Leo "maybe we can work that with the Zord's". Lythos began approaching Madison when suddenly he was struck from behind and turned to see the Disney Force Megazord…with the Tiger and Squid Zord's replacing its usual arms "Disney Force Megazord: Chaos mode" the Rangers cried as they were soon joined by the Chaos Megazord…with the Dolphin and Dove Zord's as arms. "Chaos Megazord: Disney Mode" they cried. The two Megazord's began battling with the rock Titan and despite Lythos strength the monster soon found itself being pushed back as the Rangers newfound combination of power proved more than a match for the Titan. The two Megazord's raise the Tiger and Dolphin arms together and an orb of fiery red energy mixed with a shimmering blue light appeared "Chaotic Magic strike" they cried blasting the orb at Lythos causing him to explode in a burst of light. From the Tower Yen Sid watched from his mirror with a smile, his students had proven themselves more the worthy of the powers entrusted to them, and he was proud of how they…he froze as he sensed a powerful…and familiar magical aura enter this dimension. At the dark fortress Hades was pacing. "All right I'll admit it" said Hades turning to his generals "I got cocky, and I didn't take those brats seriously" he admitted. "I have a new weapon that'll leave them in the dust" Gaston quickly declared. "Good we can use that" said Hades "in the meantime I've got to find what I need and when I find it I…" Hades cut himself off as like Yen Sid he felt the familiar presence…and he was not happy about it. Hades let his eyes narrow and gritted his teeth together as he looked to the window as he knew just who had arrived in this universe and whispered quietly to himself "you dirty snake".
