Power Rangers: Disney Force 2
Halloween Special
The Rangers were helping to prepare their school for its annual Halloween dance.
"So, what are you guys going as?" asked Melody as she, Traci, and Jessica were hanging up a banner.
"Not sure" said Traci "I'm going to see if I can get James to wear couple costumes" she grinned.
"Don't you think we're getting a bit old for dressing up in costumes?" asked Jessica earning incredulous looks from her fellow Rangers.
"Eh too old for dressing up in cool costumes, getting candy and having fun" said Traci "are you crazy?".
"Halloween isn't just for little kids Jessica, nor is it about dressing up in costumes" said Melody putting a witches hat on her head "it's about having fun" she declared earning a nod of agreement from Traci.
While the girls where getting things set up inside Leo, Jack and James were moving the grates the party supplies had come back into storage.
"So, I'm thinking the whole team goes as a comic book team, like the Avengers or Justice League" suggested Jack.
"You'd have to talk to the rest of the team about that" replied Leo. "I don't even know if I'm going to the dance" confessed James as he put away the last of the grates "I usually take Trini trick or treating".
"You tell that to Traci?" asked Jack.
As the boys were heading were heading back to the school's main building they soon heard a rumpling sound from a nearby alley and went to investigate.
"Hello" called Jack, after getting no response the Rangers were about to turn back when suddenly a hand-made of branches reached out from the other side of the alley, and the three Rangers could only watch in shocked horror as a walking scarecrow, with an aura of fire and a jack-o-lantern head turned the corner and stared at them with burning eyes.
"Whoa" cried the Rangers as the creature suddenly ran at them…only to jump over their heads and vanished without a trace.
The boys soon meet up with the rest of their friends.
"You guys aren't not going to believe what we saw" cried Jack…and Vanessa earning surprised looks from the male Disney Rangers.
"What did you see?" questioned James.
"Me and Theo were out buying Halloween candy when we saw some fake bats" explained Vanessa "when a pipe burst, and this weird purple smoke came out and when it faded the bats were REAL" she cried throwing her arms up for emphasis.
The Rangers exchange looks before nodding as they came to a mutual conclusion: they had to go see Yen Sid.
When the Rangers arrived at the tower they quickly filled their mentor in on what had happened.
"We think we know whose behind this" said Jack gesturing to James and Leo.
"Let me guess a Jack-o-lantern scarecrow?" asked their mentor leaning back in his chair.
"Yes" cried Jack before frowning "how did you know?".
Yen Sid simply pointed upwards, and when the Rangers looked they saw the same creature clinging to the ceiling.
"AAAHHH" screamed the Rangers as the creature dropped to the floor and quickly took fighting stances, only for Yen Sid to step forward.
"Rangers allow me to introduce an old friend" he declared gesturing to the scarecrow, "this is Jack Skellington" he declared as flames engulfed the scarecrow and when they faded standing in its place was a tall skeleton dressing in a black pine stripe suit with a bat bowtie.
"Greetings Power Rangers" declared the Skeleton giving a formal bow "it is an honour".
The Rangers could only stare in shocked disbelief before slowly turning their wide eyes to their mentor.
"Jack is the King of Halloween Rangers" their Mentor explained to their disbelief "he rules over both the Holiday and the world of Halloween as the Pumpkin King, while he may bring fear on his holiday he does it not out of malice but simply to keep balance in the universe".
"That's true" said Jack Skellington "we in Halloween Town may cause a fright here and there but only because Life's no fun without a good scare".
"I think I know why you have come to Earth Jack" said Yen Sid sitting back at his desk.
"If you're thinking of that no account Oogie Boogie, then your right" scowled Jack Skellington.
"You know Oogie Boogie?" asked Jack Barrie in confusion.
"Jack's world; Halloween Town is the third world I told you Rangers about where Oogie Boogie is from" Yen Sid explained to his students.
"Oogie wasn't like the other citizens, he scared because he felt it made him big" Jack Skellington went on to explain "and that made him dangerous to my people and led me to having to chase him out of town more than once, eventually when he joined up with Maleficent and then Jafar he went from being an inconvenience to an actual threat" he said taking a seat in one of the various chairs in Yen Sid's study "so I made my own alliance with Yen Sid and his army of heroes to counter Oogie's pact with Maleficent and Jafar and their revolutions of evil".
"When Disney fell I sensed that Oogie had survived, I didn't know if he would ever show his face again until I sensed his presence here on Earth".
"Then Oogie is the one responsible for the strange ongoings in Madison" said Jessica.
"Yes the smoke you saw was a failed experiment of Halloween town's resident mad scientist" explained Jack Skellington "it brings decorations and costumes to life but makes them completely feral".
"Rangers you must find out where Oogie is venting the gas and put a stop to it" commanded Yen Sid.
"The smoke came through a pipe, maybe we should check the Piping station" suggested Traci earning a nod from Yen Sid.
That moment at the piping station Oogie Boogie was having a ball with the progress of his plan.
"Chop, chop boys" he laughed as his snake men began to set up cannisters of the gas into the pipes.
"Once we set off all this stuff tonight" Oogie snickered to himself "well show everybody what it means to scare".
At that moment that doors to the station burst open and the Rangers were seen standing against the light.
"All right you overstuffed sack" said Leo as the Rangers took out their weapons "it's over".
"Oh, you think so tabby cat" laughed Oogie grabbing a valve and twisted sending a plume of the purple smoak out "well let's see how you handle this" he shouted throwing a sack of Halloween decorations and costumes into the smoke.
When the smoke cleared standing before the Rangers was a pack of animated Halloween decorations and costumes.
Leo, Connor, and Fei found themselves crossing swords with living Pirate costumes.
James and Traci were facing off with a brought to life Frankenstein costume along with his bride.
Jack Barrie, Theo, Jessica, and Vanessa were fighting off a swarm of sentient bat decorations.
Melody and Jessie had found themselves dodging the spells of a pair of witch costumes.
Oogie watched the Rangers struggling against his newest henchmen with a cruel smirk.
"Time to get the main event started" he loudly declared heading to the control console, but just as he approached it the spin chair in front of it swirled around revealing a familiar face.
"Hello Oogie" greeted Jack Skellington as his long-time rival jumped back in shock.
"J...J... Jack" Oogie stuttered in disbelief, all traces of confidence and smugness gone as the Pumpkin King got off his chair and began to slowly advance on him "you came, and I didn't even prepare a proper WELCOME" he yelled throwing a pair of exploding dice onto the floor causing Jack Skellington to jump back as they went off.
Oogie soon summoned more sentient costumes as he made his way to the upper levels of the station.
Jack Skellington soon found himself dodging the sentient costumes and decorations displaying an impressive skill in acrobatics as he did.
Jack Skellington soon made his way to the upper levels in pursuit of Oogie, who quickly leaped unto a rising platform.
"So long Jack" laughed Oogie not noticing that a tear had begun in the seams of his sack.
"How dare you behave so SHAMEFULLY" roared Jack Skellington leaping forward and struck the tear with his claw like fingers causing a spew of bugs to come pouring out from the sack.
"Oh gross" cringed Jessie in disgust as the insects fell to the battlefield and were quickly trampled by the Rangers and monsters.
Oogie cast a horrified look to Jack Skellington who raised his hand in the air and in a flash of orange light became the same creature the Red, Black and Green Disney Rangers encountered before.
The Pumpkin King levelled a steely glare at Oogie before letting lose a blast or pure fire at his enemy.
"AAAHHH" screamed Oogie as his remaining bugs and sack were quickly incinerated.
The possessed decorations and costumes immediately turned back to their original form with Oogie destroyed.
The Rangers and their new ally soon returned to Yen Sid's tower who was quite pleased with their victory.
"Well done all of you" the wise Wizard declared "Oogie's evil plan has been thwarted and now Jafar has lost a general".
"The gas has already been sent back to Halloween Town" explained Jack Skellington "it will be disposed of properly their".
"I must be off now" said Jack Skellington snaping his fingers summoning a glowing door in the shape of a Jack-o-Lantern "tonight's the busy night" he laughed "good luck Rangers, if you even need a hand don't be afraid to call" he declared before stepping though the door back to his world.
James turned to Traci "Hey can I ask you something?" he asked.
That night the school dance was in full swing.
Leo and Jessica danced together dressed as a ninja and a witch.
Jessie and Melody were dressed as a mermaid and fairy respectively.
Jack, Connor, Vanessa, Theo, and Fei had decided to dress up as a zombie basketball team.
"I hope James and Traci are having fun" said Jessie over the loud music.
"Don't worry I'm sure they are" assured Melody with a smile.
At that moment in the suburban part of town an old couple opened their door to find James and Traci dressed as Batman and Catwoman, with James sister Trini dressed as her favourite superhero…to Traci's delight at having learned…the black Chaos Ranger.
"Trick or Treat" the three declared with smiles as the enjoyed their Halloween.
