"Now, the next song is called Deepest Roots." Max continued to play the guitar while he sang the new song. He felt very good when he saw no one left the auditorium and no one even sat in their seats. When he did his guitar solo for the song, he turned to see that the backup dancers were still dancing and the musicians were still playing their instruments for his song. He was amazed that they could keep up with him.
After the song ended, he received more applause. Then he did the rest of the list including Don't Add More Fuel To The Fire, When You're Struggling, Don't Take Nothing For Granted, What Matters in Life and The Throne of Life. When asked for an encore from the audience, he ran out of songs the Phantom gave him to do so he decided to sing Stand Out as a tribute to his idol Powerline, which ended with thunderous applause.
"What's your name?" a man from the audience asked.
"Yeah, what's your name?" the audience asked multiple times.
"The name is T-Rax." Then Max as T-Rax thanked the backup dancers for their awesome dances, Miss Clarabelle for her excellent dance lessons, the musicians for their music, the TV crew for showing the concert to the world, the entire staff of the Tanchester Square Garden for arranging the concert in the first place and most importantly the audience for making this night a night no one will ever forget.
"Have a great night," Max said to the audience. "And like Mr. Horsecollar said, please leave in the building in a calm and cool mood."
"Anything for you, T-Rax!" a lady from the audience cried.
"Thanks once again, guys. You're the best audience ever!" Then Max and the backup dancers turned around and exited the stage.
Max went backstage and he was congratulated by everyone: the dancers, who also apologised for being so mean to him and thanked him for his praise of them on the stage, his best friends Clarry and Michaela, Miss Clarabelle, his dad Goofy, the stage managers Horace Horsecollar and Scrooge McDuck and the rest of the staff in the hallway. Even the staff members who worked for Chilly Phil, including his manager and his publicist praised him. The only one who didn't do any praise or applaud him at all was Chilly Phil himself. He looked very angry as he marched towards Max.
"You!" Chilly Phil yelled. "It was you who slipped a sleeping pill in my glass of milk, wasn't it?"
"It wasn't me, Mr. Phil," Max said.
"Well, how else would you have stolen my concert and my fans?"
"I swear I didn't do it. And I swear I don't know who did it."
"Well, you better find out who he is or I'll –" Phil got stopped when Scrooge got in between him and Max. He even pointed his walking stick at Phil's neck.
"That's far enough, you loud, demanding, spoiled bag of manure!" the richest duck in the world warned. "If you lay a finger on this star, you'll never be allowed to perform in here ever again, even after Mr. Horsecollar and I sell this stadium."
"Star? Him?" Phil just laughed rudely. "He ain't no star. He ain't nothing but a thief! Just a useless, worthless, talentless waste of a thief! I demand another concert for –"
He didn't finish because Scrooge and Horace had the security guards grab him and throw him out… into the garbage.
Later, as Max changed out of his costume and into his ordinary clothes, he was found more papers sheets in his locker. The first one was a note that said, 'Bravo, T-Rax. That was an awesome performance… for half a concert. Here are more songs for your first full concert tomorrow. Break a leg and keep up the good.'
No one said anything about T-Rax doing a full concert, but Max remembered what Michaela warned him: when the Phantom ordered someone to do something, it was always better to do it if they didn't want to face the consequences. Max wondered if it was the Phantom that made Chilly Phil go to sleep by putting that sleeping tablet into a glass of milk. If so, why? Why was she doing this? He was grateful for the opportunity to do what he did tonight as it was always one of his life ambitions, but he couldn't help pondering why she was doing this for him.
Deciding he was too tired to work it out, he just decided to head for home. As he left the building, he was greeted by people who were asking for T-Rax's autograph and wanting to taking photos of him. After he signed whatever and as much as he could and wishing his satisfied audience good night, he was greeted by his dad.
"Well done, son," Goofy said.
"Thanks, Dad," Max said.
"Even your old man never knew you had that kind of talent in you. Who helped you?"
Max told his dad everything from finding the songs and the guitar in his janitor cupboard and they were from this person who Michaela called the Angel of Music.
Goofy gasped. "The Angel of Music?"
"What's up with that, Dad?" Max asked.
"Aw, nothing. Actually, it's a blessing from your dear old mother."
"Mom? What's this Angel of Music got to do with Mom?"
"When she was on her hospital bed after the car crash, she told me that she would contact an angel and send her to make sure that you would be okay. And now you are. Well, good night, son. See you tomorrow."
"Night, Dad. See you tomorrow."
After waving to Goofy as he drove back to Spoonerville, Max started to think again about if this angel his mom contacted to check on him was this Phantom of Rock n Roll. He didn't have time to think about it for long because he was getting a lot of calls on his mobile phone. They were from all his friends including P.J., Lucy, Bobby, Stacey, Lauren, Peg, Pistol, Lisa and Lola among them all. They all told him that they saw him on TV and he was awesome. Though he appreciated their praise and thanked them for it, he was a bit sad that two people didn't call him at all. He was sad that Mona still didn't even bother to call him which made him think again about what he did wrong int their relationship and why she didn't even want to remain friends with him. The other person he missed was Roxanne. Because she had to leave Spoonerville and move to Maine after Spring Break 1997 and because none of them could afford a mobile phone or an email address yet, he could forgive her for not speaking to him, but he still missed her and hoped she saw him on TV. He started to give up on Mona and trying to contact her ever again and even if he did see her again, he felt that he couldn't forgive her for what she did to him.
