Not even Suite Twenty Five, which was the biggest suite of Tanchester Square Garden, with its massive space, comfy couches, delicious food and luxurious wine could make Roxanne happy. The reason she was unhappy was because she was with her spoiled and stupid jerk of a husband called Hugo. They were not alone as they were his friends and their wives; none of them were her friends at all. Every time she tried to make small talk with them, they always backfired when they laughed at everything they thought she said something wrong or stupid or something they didn't agree with, which was all the time and her husband did nothing to support her.

No wonder Roxanne felt very unhappy and lonely. She had been since the day she and her dad left Spoonerville and moved to Jamford in Maine five years ago. She tried to be mindful and hope for the future every day, but the way her life had been going from getting a serious illness that nearly killed her to moving to Jamford so she could have an operation to transferring to Jamford high school where she wasn't popular like she was in Spoonerville and got bullied a lot and then after graduating from school getting married to Hugo at once because their fathers arranged it, she kept thinking about her past life. She missed all her friends there, especially her ex-boyfriend Max Goof. When she had to move to Jamford with her father Marcus, she felt no choice but to break up with him, despite it being the last thing she wanted to do. All she could do was think about him and hope that he was happy, enjoying his life and that he was doing better than she was.

Then the concert began and she, Hugo, his friends and wives took their seats to watch it.

Roxanne gasped as she saw T-Rax arrive on stage and perform 'Deepest Roots'. Can it be? Can it be Max? she thought in her head.

For the first time in her life since she moved away from Max, Roxanne felt happy as she watched him perform in a concert. It reminded her of when he performed with Powerline in LA in the summer of 1995. She thought Max performing with their favourite rock star was awesome enough, but him becoming a performer in his own right and performing a whole concert in one of the biggest stadiums in the world was on another level of awesome.

When Max finished the first act, she cheerfully rose and clapped loudly. "Bravo!" She realized that she was the only one in the suite to do what she did, but she didn't care.

"You act like you knew the man," Hugo said.

"Well, he is an old schoolmate from Spoonerville," Roxanne said.

"And was he this awesome back then?"

"He's always been awesome." She dared not to tell him that he was one of her ex-boyfriend in case trouble rose if he thought she had feelings for him. If he thought that, he wouldn't be wrong because she still had feelings for Max. If only she didn't get ill in Spoonerville and had to move to Jamford so she could get healed and her dad could get a job in Jamford instead of Spoonerville, life would have been different.

He may not remember me, but I remember him, Roxanne thought as she headed to the ladies.

After she finished in the ladies, Roxanne headed back to Suite Twenty Five. She bumped into someone and they both collapsed to the ground.

"Gosh! Sorry."

"That's all right, Mr. Goof." Then she realized what she just said. She looked into the person she bumped into and she saw it was Max's dad Goofy.

"Miss Roxanne?"

"Hi, Mr. Goof." Roxanne was just as delighted to see him as she was to see Max performing.

"Ya here to see Maxie?" Goofy said.

"Yeah, totally!" she replied. "My husband is a patron here and he brought me and his friends and their wives to see him in his next concert. You must be very proud of him."

"I sure am," Goofy said. "As proud as a father could be. How's life in what's it's name? Vain? Rain? Shame? Blame?"

"Maine?"

"Yeah, that's it!"

"It's okay," Roxanne said. Because she hadn't seen him for quite a while, she couldn't bear to tell the whole truth about how miserable she was living in Jamford. "Though I do miss being with you and Max. I especially miss those delicious barques you did for us." Even though all his cooking was always too well done for her liking, she always enjoyed being in the company of him and Max.

"Well, if you like, I can take you to his dressing room and you two can have a catch-up."

"I'd like that very much, Mr. Goof," Roxanne said. "Thank you so much."

"No problem."

Then they both went their ways.

After the concert was over, Roxanne and her husband cheered with the audience. Again, she cheered loudly again. While Hugo went to talk again to his friends, Roxanne sneaked out to meet Goofy again and he took her to Max's dressing room.

Goofy knocked on the door. "Oh, Maxie," he called. "Are you in there?"

There came no answer.

"I hope you're in there, Maxie, because I have a someone very special who's here to see you."

There came no reply.

"Maybe we should forget it, Mr. Goof," Roxanne said.

"Nah," Goofy said. "Maybe he's just sleeping. Maybe he's just too tired from working so hard."

He opened the door and they walked in. But Max wasn't in it at all. He was nowhere to be seen.

"Somethin's wrong here," Goofy said.

"Maybe it's best that he doesn't see me again," Roxanne said sadly. "Maybe he's still mad about what happened the last time we were together."

"Nah, not at all," Goofy said. "In fact, he'd do anythin' to keep in contact with you. He wrote to you a letter after you left for Maine five years ago. He kept onto it, awaitin' for your letter to tell him how you settled in Maine and how the operation to save your life went."

After he gave it to her, Roxanne opened the envelope and read the letter.

'Dear Roxanne,

I'm so glad that you're well and got the best treatment. I still miss you, but I wish you nothing but the best life in Maine and wherever you live in the future. You were the best girlfriend in the world and I will never forget how I lucky I was to know you when I did and I will never forget all the good times we shared together.

So thank you for the wonderful past and good luck for the future.

Best regards,

Max Goof.'

Tears of happiness came out of Roxanne's eyes as she was glad that Max never forgot her and he wished her nothing but happiness. But then she remembered she tried to send some letters to him in hopes that they would become penpals so they could keep in contact.

"We didn't receive no letters like that," Goofy said after she told him about it. "For a long while, he checked the mailbox every day for stuff from you."

So the mail Roxanne sent to Max didn't receive anything at all? That puzzled her and she tried to work it out while she went back to re-join her husband and his friends and their wives. And Goofy was puzzled about where Max went after tonight's concert.
