Welcome back. so originally this was going to be longer but I realize if i did that, the pacing would be all over the place, so to make it up, this will be a 2 parter. Good news for everyone: the ghosts will now appear in this chapter along with references from professor ass spiders other books. So, lets continue (did not write the original. It's been days since the attack happened, but for Tiago, it felt like hours. Rafael had to leave since he has to take care of his children, so he's left under the care of Linda.

A lot had happened during those days, One of them being that Carla managed to survive. He was happy that she was alive.

Tiago was still in the infirmary. They were just doing a check up on him.

His stitches were gone but his wing was in a cast. Turns out the male harpy torturing him was a good thing because his wing was in one place. But it managed to dislocate it, so he still can't fly.

Which meant he couldn't get to the room his family was in. Rafael wasn't here and without him, he can't get there without being spotted.

Linda decided to help him though, sneaking him in since Tulio didn't want Tiago to see his family's injuries. Linda knew it was to protect Tiago but it would just make the situation worse, something she learned from raising Blu. So, she always smuggled him in the room just so Taigo could see them.

Linda was in the room during Tiago's check-up. Ever since Tiago recovered, She promised to him that she would always be with him whenever she could, at least until his family woke up. After the check-up, Tiago walked towards her, doing a little dance.

He only did this to tell her that he wants to go and see his family.

They walked to the cottage. Fernando and Tulio were doing a son and father day, so it was just them.

Linda decided to speak first.

"I have some good news. Carla is out of surgery. She's alive." Tiago squawked at the news.

He was worried she wasn't going to make it, considering she was the one closest to death. Both Linda and Tiago made a routine of going to his family.

Ever since they got married, Linda and Tulio would sometimes go to Minnesota. So, Linda bought a sweater for him so he doesn't get cold.

That was a blessing in disguise since it has a kangaroo pocket big enough for Tiago to fit in comfortably and dark enough to where unless they pay attention to the pocket, they won't see him.

Using the interior emergency stairs. They go to room 411. The room Tiago's family is in.

They have done this a total of 12 times. only getting caught once. They didn't manage to find Tiago but he had to wait 2 weeks before Linda deemed it safe to do it again.

They got to the entrance of the stairs, but there were no doctors around. Tiago looked at both sides and rubbed at the back of the kangaroo pocket. It was a signal to tell Linda that the hallways were clear.

She went to the door. Tiago heard clicking sounds.

"You got to be kidding me. The door's locked."

She had the master key to every floor of the building but she doesn't know which master key fits this lock.

Tiago looked around the hallway to see if anybody was walking though.

His feathers puffed up as he suddenly felt cold.

He looked around and saw the figure again.

This time the figure walked towards him.

Tiago's breath seemed to stop as the figure came close to him.

The figure was Bia but she was mutilated. Her left wing was missing, showing nerves, veins and muscle. The bone of the wing's socket can be seen through the gruesome display. Bits of her right upper head were missing, showing brain matter and blood. Massive lacerations were all over her body.

She had a somber look on her face.

He was going to say her name despite common sense not to do it when he heard the door unlock.

"got it." Linda thought out loud.

Tiago peeked out of the pocket to see Linda opening the door. By the time he looked at Bia, she was gone.

They got to the room without running to anybody this time. After making sure the coast was clear, Linda put her hand near the pocket Tiago was in. He perched on her fingers and she walked to his family.

When Tiago saw Carla, he knew that she would be the worst out of all of them, but nothing would have prepared him and Linda just how bad it actually was. Her entire body was covered in bandages with casts on her wings and talons. Stitches were seemingly everywhere on her head. An eyepatch covered her right eye. Plastic tubes were in her nostrils, under her bandages and everywhere else. this could have been prevented if he just moved but he stood there, watched her slowly dying just for the harpy's entertainment. for the first time, he couldn't apologize and just expect her to forgive him.

Tiago was in the fake jungle, originally he was going to be in the same cage his father used to be in, but Linda did not agree with this saying that he needs to move or that he'll panic and try to escape.

She didn't know that Blu teached Jewel and His chicks on how to open a bolt lock but he wasn't going to correct her.

So, here he is in the fake jungle and alone. On the plus side, he can fly now.

But he decided to only fly if it's convenient or he has to. It isn't the same to fly without his parents or siblings.

Tiago did not like this. Did not like eating by myself. Did not like the coldness of the wood when he sleeps at the hollow and hated to fly alone. After hours of him just sitting around, only moving to eat or drink. He decided to sleep.

He flew to the hollow and laid on the cold and rough wood. Before he closed his eyes to sleep he decided to say something to whoever was listening.

"Please make sure they wake up. I-I can't ta-take it anymore." tears were forming as he was hoping that either Laera or Ara were listening to him.

After drying his tears, he went to sleep.

Tiago opened his eyes.

Where was he?

He looked around and saw posters, photos and himself.

What was going on?

Tiago turned his head and saw Bia, Carla and his parents around a leaf, the family hitting fruits.

Tiago was near Bia when she was hit with a purplish liquid.

"Tiago!,"

"I didn't mean it, sorry!"

Tiago gasped as he realized what was happening.

This is the day where the attack happened. He could stop it. He could stop Carla from being tortured . He could stop the harpies from injuring them. All he had to do was to stop his family or cause something to make them stop.

He moved his talon.

The talon didn't move.

Tiago was confused. Why didn't his talon move.

He moved his entire body this time.

He stood there like a statue.

He kept trying to nudge his body to move but it wasn't budging.

"Hey, why don't we all go out and fly together.

No. nononononononono. This wasn't happening. This is not happening. He can prevent the suffering Carla went through. He can save his father, his mother and his older sisters from being in a coma. He can finally apologize to Bia and Carla for everything he did, But his body wasn't moving.

He was forced to watch as the family flew for what it may be their last time together.

Tears were dropping from Tiago's eyes as they watch them get further and further away.

"No, don't go."

"DON'T GO" Tiago scream from the top of his lungs to hopefully stop them.

They were too far away to hear them.

"I'm sorry, Carla." They were going to be attacked again all because he couldn't move.

"I'm sorry" Taigo said before he opened his tear-filled eyes.

Tiago failed Carla. Failed his family. Failed as a sibling.

Before he can continue loathing over his failure. A shadow was looming over him. He looked back and saw the mangled body of his mother.

So, the ghosts are here but they'll be different. it will be better explained in the 2nd part. again, this would be in 2 parts, and i am doing a little experiment. essentially, i only name chapter that have one of the family members get out of their coma state. also thank you for the follow, whoever followed me.
