I have returned from my short break. Before we start, i should probably tell you that Most if all of the ghosts will change appearance. This was made because I didn't want to copy and paste the same wounds again. I am also contradicting what I put what the ghosts were on chapter 3, part 1. but I'm getting ahead of myself, let's just start with this chapter. (original made by professor ass spiders. Rio is owned by 20th century fox/Fox animation)

The family was lucky to survive. Jewel knows that. When she was young she had mistakenly eavesdropped on random spix macaws talking about how families that were viciously killed by a harpy eagle.

She had lost count on how many nightmares she had about being ripped apart by a harpy. When she was separated by the fire that killed her mother, she had to survive on her own.

The tribe always said that the harpy eagles were the demons of the jungle. She never believed those words until she saw one of them.

Jewel saw this giant monster with talons that were larger than the average spix's. The talons had claws that were sharp enough to cut through bone.

Jewel turned around and flew away from the demon as fast as she could.

When the humans from what was now called blu bird sanctuary captured her, Jewel was pissed. But deep inside, she was glad she didn't have to see another harpy again. And what happens if they catch their prey.

Not even a day has passed and Jewel is already missing her children. The human did a physical examination on her. Turns out Jewel's right wing was damaged in the attack. It wasn't severe but they put a cast on the wing, again.

She was grounded again, which she hates because it means she couldn't fly, experiencing freedom like a bird.

her freedom can wait though.

The humans were also doing a physical examination on Tiago and Bia

They wouldn't dare attempt to check their lower regions.

Jewel made sure the humans won't do that part of the examination on her children, although she did have to threaten Blu since he was the only one who could write during the time. Jewel might have also clawed an human when they tried to do the same to her.

Right now, Jewel is waiting for her kids to come back from their examination.

The family was still in the fake jungle.

Jewel hates the fake jungle but it's the only place where her family can recover safely.

Jewel walked around the jungle, growing more impatient.

She continued this until she glimpsed at the stream of water.

Jewel saw a shadow.

a shadow of a bird.

Jewel was confused, she didn't hear the door open and last time she checked there were no open windows, so why did a bird get in.

Curiosity got the better of Jewel and she walked towards the figure.

"Hello?" Jewel said with a raspy voice. She survived but the male harpy managed to damage her larynx, meaning her voice will sound raspy.

The humans will repair her larynx in a week, so she doesn't sound like a walking corpse.

The figure jumped clearly startled and ran.

That was strange. It was a bird, why didn't it fly?

Jewel didn't waste no time and followed the figure.

"Inside, outside, inside, outside." Jewel repeated those words to remind herself on how to walk. Jewel was hoping to not repeat those words but it's way too long since she was forced to walk.

It also reminded her of the time spent with her mate.

Jewel managed to catch up with the figure. Only problem was that they were hiding from her.

Jewel has no idea if the bird was Friend or Foe.

"I'll know you're here." Jewel heard a bush rustle.

"Come out right now" She demanded with the most threatening voice she could muster.

The figure walked towards her.

Jewel's eyes widened as the bird revealed herself.

"Bia!" Jewel stood there in shock.

Her daughter's left wing was missing, Nerves and flesh dangling downward as the bones that would've supported them were gone. Lacerations from the talons from Jewel could only think were caused by an eagle. massive chunks of flesh were gone. Jewel could see through the missing flesh, Bias left lung and other organs were gone as well. A massive hole was on Bia's upper right side of her head. Jewel could see brain matter and blood along with bone fragments.

Bia turned around and walked.

Jewel followed her daughter.

Bia stopped at the tallest tree the fake jungle had. Usually Bia wouldn't Just reveal herself but she needed to get something off of her chest, or what was left of it.

Bia hears her mothers talons coming closer.

"Here goes nothing." Bia thought

Jewel followed her daughter towards the tallest tree.

"Bia?" Jewel called out to her daughter.

They both stood there in silence as if time stood there.

Bia answered first.

"I hated him."

"Who?" Jewel was concerned, Bia never really hated anyone, something Jewel believes Bia got from her father.

"Tiago." Bia was ashamed to admit it.
Jewel had no words. Bia, Tiago's older sibling, hated her little brother.

Only one word came out of her throat.

"Why?"

"I was killed in the worst possible way, forced to watch as my wing became nothing but mangled pieces. As Flesh was torn away from my body. I was forced to watch as they were eating me alive."

Jewel breathing abruptly stopped. Bia was only just a kid and she was brutally murdered by a predator. But gears were still turning as what actually happened to Bia.

"I was viciously torn apart. all Tiago did was run away. But my torture wasn't done yet."

Gears were still grinding in Jewel's head.

"I thought that I would find peace when I've been killed in the most vindictive way." Tears were forming in Bia's eyes.

"But I came back as This. this Thing!" Bia said as she looked at her body.

"All I felt was pain." Bia still remembers her nerves flaring up as it was exposed to oxygen. It was excruciating. The best Bia could describe it was being burned alive.

"I couldn't think straight. The only thing I could have think of was Tiago. I thought he left me to die." Tears were still falling.

"I confronted him and yell about how he abandoned me." Bia hated revisiting those memories.

"I didn't care that he was grieving about the family he lost. All I cared about was to tell him what he did to me."

The gears slowed down.

"Then he apologized. Apologized for every insult he threw at me. Apologized for everything he did about me." Bia still regrets the words she said to him.

"He didn't realize that there was nothing that he could do."

"Overtime, I slowly forgave him." Bia said. She still hated the fact that she didn't forgive him immediately.

Jewel stayed silent, hearing her story.

"I just hope she will forgive him as well."

Jewel broke her silence.

"Wh-" Jewel tried to say but she heard the door open.

"Mom, we're back." Both Tiago and Bia said.

Jewel looked back but when she looked back at the Tree.

The ghost Bia was gone.

before anyone gets concerned with the changing appearance thing, it'll only happen based on who's looking or talking to the ghost. What I'm trying to do with the ghosts is that some of them would have different stories but their injuries would be the same like the original orphaned fanfic. I'll also try to show off screen character development with most of the ghosts. Again, The next chapter would take some time. so hopefully it won't last another week.
