She took my height, weight, and blood pressure, before asking a few general questions, and writing down the reason for my visit and symptoms, before asking me for a sample of urine.

She then led me to another room with the examination table.

"Make yourself comfortable. The doctor will be in a few minutes to see you." She said before leaving.

I stood there for a moment staring blankly at the art on the wall, rubbing my arms as I began to feel the coolness of the room.

Groaning when I realized I left my jacket in the car I moved as far as possible from the air vent and sat in the chair in the corner of the room.

When the doctor walked in, I was texting Nat and Bucky in hopes of figuring out my living arrangements, only for them to begin arguing with each other.

I quickly dropped my phone into my bag before looking up at the older gentleman.

"Good afternoon, Miss. Barton. How are we doing today?" He asked me as he closed the door.

"Not so good, doc." I replied, carefully.

"What seems to be the problem with you today?" He asked, as he checked the chart.

"I have been in Monaco for the past three weeks. I just came back today. Last week, after I ate bouillabaisse for lunch, I haven't been able to stop throwing up, my head hurts too, and I feel like everything I smell makes my stomach churn." I explained.

"Hm. Have you given the urinary sample yet?" He asked as he wrote down some notes.

"I did as soon as I walked into the back." I confirmed.

"Miss. Barton. When was the first day of your last menstrual cycle?" He asked.

"September eighteen." I replied.

He nodded, writing it down before turning to look at me. "I will order a few tests to be taken. Are you opposed to giving a blood sample?" He asked.

"Not opposed at all. How long will it take to get the results back?" I asked, wringing my hands together.

"Twenty to thirty minutes, since the day has been pretty slow." He replied.

"Alright. Do whatever you need to do. Just help me feel better." I said.

I watched him nod in response, "I will put the order in, and be right back to take the samples myself…" he said.

I nodded, before dropping my head into my hands wondering what I was going to do, before a call interrupted my thoughts.

I sighed as I slowly slid my finger across the screen and lifted it to my ear.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Button, how's everything? Any news?" He asked.

"Nope, nothing yet. You can leave if you want. I'm going to be here for a while…" I muttered, shivering, as I began rubbing my arms to get some friction.

"What's wrong?" He asked me.

"Nothing. It's just really cold here…" I murmured.

"Give me a second, and I'll fix that." He said, before I heard a creak before hearing some footsteps

'Can I help you, sir?' I heard the nurse up front in the desk ask.

'Yes, actually. Is there any way I could go back there? My fiancee is back there and I need to give her something.' He asked, softly

'Oh, what's her name?' I heard she asked him.

'Arianna Nicole Barton.' He said.

'Go through that door. End of the hall, third door on the right.' She instructed.

'Thank you.' He replied.

I heard a door open and close before I heard the click.

A soft knock followed, before the door opened and closed.

The doctor came and took the samples before leaving again.

When another knock interrupted my thinking, I turned as I heard the door open and close.

"Fuck, I thought you were joking. It's like a fucking freezer in here." He muttered, sliding off his jacket before he dropped it in the seat next to mine and pulled off his hoodie.

"What are you doing?" I asked, frowning.

"Helping you." He replied, as he handed me his dark red hoodie and pulled his black leather jacket back on.

I sighed, pulling it on, warming up instantly.

"Better?" He asked as he sat down next to me.

I leaned my head onto his shoulder, and sighing in content. " Much...Thank you, bubsy…" I murmured tiredly.

"Bubsy? You haven't called me that in a long time, Bunny." He whispered amused.

"Well, you hated it so I stopped. You seem to like Buck, Bucko, or Buckaroo better, so, it doesn't matter." I said, shrugging.

"I never said I didn't like it…" He grumbled, frowning.

"Right… Well, you should see your face when you talk to someone. Your face says it all." I replied laughing.

"Shut your mouth, Button." He said, playfully bopping my nose.

I giggled before a knock startled us.

"Miss. Barton? Your results are in. The doctor will be in to read and discuss them to you in a minute.…" The nurse said.

"Alright, thank you." I replied before she nodded and walked out.

As soon as the door closed, Bucky turned to look at me, before leaning over and kissing my forehead. "I'll wait for you in the lobby ok?" He whispered.

I nodded in response before he stood up and left.

"Hate to see you go, but love to watch you leave …" I muttered, shaking my head, as I watched him walk out of the room.
