Arie's POV:

I sighed, shaking my head at his childish behavior, before turning sharply to look at the other three children with narrowed eyes.

"What did we do?" Rebecca asked.

"You and you. Make yourselves scarce!" I growled at Steve and Sam, before turning to Rebecca. "And you! Guest room. Now!" I ordered as I walked out of the kitchen and made my way towards the guest room.

"Aww… crap." She muttered.

"Rebecca Julia Barnes! Now!" I growled.

"Easy, now. Don't kill her, Mama Bear." Sam called after me.

"Keep talking and I'll be killing you first, Wilson. You better watch yourself." I called over my shoulder.

I could hear her following me, as I walked down the hall, and into the room.

She walked in right after me. Looking at the bags in the closet before looking over at me. "I thought you two were sharing a room?" She asked, raising a thin inquisitive brow at me.

"We're not here to talk about your brother or me, we're here to talk about earlier." I replied, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Oh, right." She sighed walking over to the overstuffed chair I placed there, a few days after I arrived here.

"So, what's really going on?" I asked her, as I walked over to my bed and slid in, hugging the pillow that smelled like Bucky to my chest for comfort.

"I think I have feelings for him." She finally said, chewing on her bottom lip.

"Yeah. No shit." I dryly replied.

"Arie, come on, this is hard for me. I—I haven't felt like this since Caleb, I'm scared, Arie. Really scared." She finally said, as her eyes began to fill with tears instantly.

I gave her a sad smile as my mind went to her first husband.

Caleb Johnson was Rebecca's first love. Her highschool sweetheart. They met in their freshman year and fell fast and hard.

They eventually got married, before she started studying to become an RN, and he to become a surgeon. They had Amy shortly before she finished school, and while he was doing his residency.

It was a short time after finishing his residency, and the arrival of Amy that Caleb died in a car crash.

Leaving Rebecca by herself with a two month old Amy. Forcing her to move back home with her parents.

Now almost four years later, and she was struggling to come to terms with allowing herself to be happy.

To be honest, I knew that she and Steve had been talking, they had become close sometime after Caleb's death.

I hadn't known the extent until I visited her one day, and walked in on Steve railing her on her kitchen counter.

After that day she visited me.

I sighed, sitting and patting the seat next to mine. "You do realize that it's okay to move on, right?" I asked her as she rushed over to the bed, and climbed in.

"It's been four years, Arie… So, why do I feel like it's a bad thing to be moving on?" She asked, emotionally.

I sighed, pulling her into a hug. "It's not, hon. He makes you happy. I think Caleb would have wanted you to be happy." I replied, giving her a sad smile.

"What about Amy?" She asked me.

I smiled at her in response. "She loves her Unka Stevie. Don't you think she deserves to have a positive male role in her life?" I asked, smiling.

She snorted. "She has my dad, and my brother." She replied.

"Yeah, see? that's exactly my point. What were Amy's first words thanks to her Uncle Bucky again?" I asked her.

She sighed. "Oh sit." She mumbled with a snort.

"We both know that those words were 'oh shit'. Making my case and point. Steve will be good for both of you." I said, smiling at her.

She nodded, wiping her face. "Does that mean I have to talk to him now?" She asked, wincing.

"Definitely does." I replied, chuckling at her expression.

"Damn. Well, it was fun while it lasted." She mumbled.

"I bet it was." I mumbled, shaking my head at her.

"It was." She groaned. "So, I'll be seeing you next week right?" She asked, sitting up.

I nodded, smiling in response. "Yes, on Friday." I replied, smiling.

"Good. Amy misses her Coco Arie." She says.

"Aw. I miss her too." I said smiling, fondly as I thought of the little girl with blonde, wild, curly hair and bright green eyes.

"I won't tell anyone that you're coming, that way, you can surprise them." She promised as she moved to get up.

"Great. Tell your brother to calm down if you see him. I'm going to go back to sleep. I've had a really long day." I muttered laying back.

She nodded in understanding before slowly climbing off the bed, and making her way towards the door. "See you next week, babe!" She said, as she walked out the door.

"Yeah, See you!" I mumbled already half asleep.
