Hinata was following her normal routine of scrubbing her skin raw in the scolding heat of her shower. She wanted to forget. She wanted to erase his touch, his words, and the bruises on her body. If you had told her three years ago that she would be sobbing in her bathroom examining the scars her husband left on her, she would have told you you were insane. Now though, she knew that the man she had married was capable of doing many things.

"Get out of the fucking bathroom before I drag you out!" said man hollered.

With that demand, the broken woman scrambled out of her tub and threw on a robe. There was no use in trying to rebel, he had taken the fight out of her for tonight. When she exited the bathroom he immediately snatched her by the neck and examined her face.

"Good thing your face isn't any uglier. Put on some makeup and get dressed, we have guests coming over," he demanded.

"G-guest?" she dared to ask.

"Yes, whore. Guests. Are you hard of hearing or something," he scoffed.

With yet another hit to her already fragile confidence, she quickly worked to get dressed and look presentable. She put on the thing that covered her body the most, to hide her bruises, but still showed off her curves. Sasuke would be angry with her if she covered everything. He got a sick sense of pride from having a wife that had a body and man would want and any woman would be envious of. He also got enjoyment from ruining said body with his hands.

"Hinata hurry up and cook something! If the food isn't ready by the time they get here there will be consequences. One that I can assure you you won't like." he growled.

"Yes, Sasuke. I'll go get started now." she whimpered.

In such a large mansion with so many servants, it was shocking to her that no one had spoken up about the abuses happening. Then again this was the Uchiha name and no one would dare speak up about them. Especially since most of them ran the police force. She went to the large fridge and decided to make her husband's favorite tomato noodle soup. She got to work quickly because she knew that if she didn't she knew that he would make true to his promise.

"I trust that you're done? The guests are here," he stated dangerously.

"Y-yes. I'm almost d-done setting the t-table." she replied.

"Get rid of the stutter. I actually like these people and I need you to act like you're comfortable in your own home," he instructed.

With that, he moved swiftly to open the door to let in the guests. She could not have expected who would walk in. She never thought she would see his face again but he was there. She was not hallucinating after one too many hits to the head. The man was there in all his blonde-haired blue-eyed glory.

"Naruto!?" she squeaked.

"Hinata?" he squeaked back.

"Do you two know each other?" the blonde woman on his arm questioned as the other guests trailed in.

"I'm curious as well. Neither of you has ever mentioned the other." Sasuke chimed in.

"Yea she and I dated for about three years. It was when I was studying abroad back in college." the blonde man explained.

Hinata said nothing as her nerves were now completely shot. Not only was she faced with the sunny blonde and her husband was looking at her like he wanted to murder her, but she couldn't stop starring at the woman on his arm. She was almost the spitting image of her, except her hair was blonde instead of purple. She was lost in thought when she suddenly felt a pinch to her side.

"Hinata go serve the guest please." her husband commanded.

"Yes Sasuke," she murmured and bowed to the guests.

From there the conversation was pleasant. Sasuke had invited most of his friends. Some she knew, some she didn't, and some she truly didn't care to know. She made good conversation, took the praises on her cooking, and received her husbands boasting about their achievements in stride. The only time he would compliment her would be moments like these. Although she despised the man she couldn't deny that she relished any type of praise he bestowed upon her. Especially since she knew once the guests left she would get an earful from her husband about her connection to one of his friends. She had noticed Naruto staring at her throughout the dinner and she knew her husband could too Which is why she tried to prolong it as much as possible, telling everyone that she had dessert and that she would be right back.

She made sure that she moved as quickly as possible so that her husband couldn't follow her for a surprise confrontation. She frankly didn't want to deal with any more of his crap. She was able to make it through the rest of the dinner in one piece. Which was ruined when Naruto asked to stay the night and she shattered.

"Don't you have a house Dobe?" Sasuke questioned seemingly playful.

" Of course Teme but my girlfriend and I traveled here from out of state for a business conference and we forgot to grab a hotel," the man explained.

" Is you forgot code for you thought staying here for free was better than paying for a room?" The dark-haired man inquired.

"Maybe," The whiskered cheeked man said sheepishly while his date flushed with embarrassment beside him.

" Alright fine but be gone by tomorrow. Hinata and I have some….business to attend to." He replied while calmly stroking her hair.

The guests eventually trickled out of her house and the two remaining guests went to their designated room. She decided to clean the kitchen as slow as possible. The kitchen was her safe space and she refused to have anyone use it but her. That was the one condition that her husband agreed to. Speaking of her husband, she heard his footsteps coming back to the kitchen.

" Why didn't you tell me that you knew him before Hinata?" He asked.

" You said you never wanted to know about my past." She explained while her hands were shaking slightly

" Did you ever sleep with him you slut?" He seethed.

" U-U-Um yes but it was years before I met you. I don't care about him. I care about you Sasuke." She rambled in fear.

That was the wrong choice of words because he smacked one of her precious plates out of hand and whirled her around by her neck.

" Are you fucking him now? He never mentioned anything about you and that idiot talks about every detail of his life." Sasuke whispered angrily while choking the life out of her.

" No! Of course not Sasuke. I-I can't breathe." She moaned.

He slapped her hard and then threw her to the ground.

" If I find out you're lying there will be hell to pay. You are mine slut. Another man will never touch you again." He barked as he towered over her.

" Yes Sasuke!" she yelped.

After that, she saw her husband make his way to the door.

" I'm leaving Hinata, another one of my whores needs me. Once those two leave we'll have a more serious talk about this." the man said ominously.

Once he shut the door the woman broke down. She was sobbing and trying to clean up the broken glass. It cut her hands multiple times but she was numb from the events of tonight. When she was done she layed on the floor of her kitchen staring at the ceiling wishing she was anywhere else until she eventually dozed off.

" Hinata!" A deep voice boomed.

" Oh, Sasuke! I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to fall asleep here. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." She whimpered while bowing and shivering in fear.

" Hinata it's Naruto. " he explained.

" Oh, Naruto I'm sorry. I-I didn't know Sasuke was your friend." She apologized as he suddenly gasped.

" Hinata what happened to your arms and your face. Did- did Sasuke hit you? Is that why you want the lights off when we're together?" He questioned, connecting the dots quickly.

In between the time, Sasuke had left and she had fallen asleep she removed her cardigan so everything that she had kept well hidden was exposed. Naruto had lied to his best friend when he had asked how he knew his wife. The reality was the two had been sleeping together for almost a year. The two knew a lot about each other, save for the details about their personal relationships.

"No! I-I fell." she quietly voiced.

"How stupid do you think I am Hina!? Those are handprints on you. I'm going to kick his ass whenever he gets back. Then I'm gonna get you out of here." he seethed.

"No, Naruto-kun! You could get hurt! I can't leave, it would bring too much shame to my family." she explained.

"I don't give a fly fuck about your family. You can't possibly think it's okay to be used like this for their sake? I can be your family Hinata. I can take care of you." he proclaimed.

"I-I want that so bad. You've been my light in the dark these past couple of months, but there are things we need to think about. W-what about your girlfriend Naruto? I can't just up and leave either." she questioned.

" My girlfriend is just with me for my status. Anyone that has anything to say about us can go fuck themselves." he declared.

"O-okay Naruto. I'll leave with you," she said with a smile.

The two ran to the door and out into the night.

Or so she hoped because that's not really happened. In reality, she was still in her bathtub. The water had since turned cold. She was awoken from her daydream by the loud slam of her front door. Her husband had left, likely to attend to one of his many mistresses. She decided that she should do the same. She got out, dried her hands, and used her water pruney fingers to text her lover. He was under that name Foxy in her contacts. The name was such that her husband would likely think it was a girl if he ever went through her phone. He texted her back and said that she could come, so she put makeup on all her bruises and got dressed. As she walked out the door to visit the man of her dreams, literally, she noticed a spot of blood on one of her walls. She would have to remember to clean it when she came back. She bitterly laughed at the idea that she was going to visit love and sunshine only to come back to a home they held nothing but misery. Sadly, even she knew she would never truly leave.
