A/N
I am obssessed with electro swing all over again as this set in 50's, time to turn on Lone Digger (if you know Caravan Palace) again baby
In the city that never sleeps police never slept so. No wonder why not when they had hands full of work. FBI was trying to jail the people behind the armed groups who were causing the violence in New York.
"Explosion of a carbomb in the Tenderloin, 2 dead, 17 injured." An FBI agent went into the office helding a case file in his hand and continued "Those Irish terrorists won't never stop."
"What they used this time?" 2nd agent working at his office turned on his colleague
"Homemade C4 according to the analysis." First agent said and continued "The most funny thing is that they think they are helping to unite Ireland by doing this."
"Would be possible for the FBI to examine households of all the Irish in the New York City?"
"Yes, but due to large amount of Irish in the New York, the government wouldn't let it happen because it would take so long."
Agent put the case file on the table and looked at the Manhattan from the window.
"Are there any people who are on the watchlist for suspicion for working with that terrorist group?" Agent asked again his colleague as he opened the window, he lit and started smoking his cigarette.
"So far there are on terrorist watchlist a few Irish who were suspicious about their activity with the IRA since the immigration."
"Great, do we have infiltrators in some cells of the New York offshoot?"
"Yes, but only in some. They are not that dumb."
Agent that noticed a paper plane flying straight up into the office. Uninterested, he looked at it before he threw it into the trashbin.
"I want to take over the investigation of the latest attacks." He smoking his cigarette turned on his colleague continuing with a serious voice "I want to get in where it is possible and arrest them."
"Isn't it possible that the Polish and the Irish are cooperating?" 2nd agent said and continued "You know how in the Britain besides the Irish and the IRA are the 2nd most problematic group Polish who behave similarly? Both nations are strongly Catholic."
"On the one hand it would make sense, on the other hand it wouldn't work. Both groups have different goals. Yes, I heard about Polish and their high rate of right wing terrorism in the United Kingdom."
"And what if you started investigating in New York people where it is known they have both Polish and Irish origin? I don't think it would be a bad idea."
"You mean-" Agent then turned at his colleague helding the smoking cigarette "Like investigating both problematic immigrant groups at once?"
"Yes, I think our British colleagues from MI6 will be happy for the report as well."
"How is it with their political standing?"
"Mix of right wingers and left wingers. Some are pretty close to national socialism with their political standing."
"Nazis all over again.." 2nd agent said
The 2nd agent then noticed that his colleague is leaving.
"Where are you going?" He asked as he saw his colleague was putting on his coat and finishing smoking the cigarette.
"I'm going to ask witnesses first. They will probably may help me to reveal identity of a few IRA members."
Agent in the disguise later at a few places of attacks noticed that there was always a paper plane. He kneeled, took it into his hand as he had brown leather gloves and started examining it.
"Paper airplanes? Seriously?" He asked himself helding the paper plane in his hand examining the place of the explosion.
The paper airplane then flew away from his hand like as if it flew by itself, but agent didn't pay any attention to it as he thought it was only a strong wind.
"If I'm suppossed to arrest these terrorists, paper planes are not evidence at all." He said quietly for himself as he watched the paper airplane flying away.
"Sorry sir, are you searching something?" An elderly woman which walked around asked as she saw the main in his 30's kneeling and examining the place.
"Sorry ma'am," The agent in undercover then stood up and asked and pointed out at the flying paper plane "Do you know more about these random paper planes?"
Woman shrugged her shoulders.
"From time to time, they fly alone around the city and cling to someone. It is said that they can influence fate."
Agent didn't look like happy as he heard that. It sounded as a fairy tale to him and the fact how calmly the old settler talked about it disturbed him a bit.
"Does it have something to do with religious cults in the New York underground?" He asked again in a bit of suspicion of a fanatical cult activity despite he didn't believe that crap about paper planes as he remembered the cases from New Orleans when it was said Voodoo witches by magic influenced murders.
"I doubt that. They are magic on their own."
Another paper plane at the place of the explosion landed in the front of the agent. This time slightly pissed agent in the front of the old settler trampled with his leg on the paper airplane, destroying it. Woman looked like disturbed a bit and the agent murmured for himself "I will get you Paperman." giving one of the unknown suspects nickname based on the paper airplanes he found flying at crime scenes.
Wind then took away the torn dirty piece of paper which lost its magic with its destruction.
Old settler decided to leave the man after seeing this as it disturbed her when she believed that those "magic" paper planes are bringing luck.
Agent then noticed other things at the crime scene. It were drops of blood. If it was even an IRA member at all, it looked he was injured and had to leave the scene bleeding.
Agent growled for himself. It wasn't useful as an evidence at all. In the 1950's, there weren't as useful forensic technologies as now in the 21st Century.
Agent sighed and thought "Well, time to get in Polish-Irish community."
