Chapter 5: Hakune's Dating Nightmare

One morning after a relaxing sleep Juinchi woke up. He took his time getting up while grabbing hold of his phone to check up on the calendar app to see what's today. Saturday meaning that he and Hakune don't have work, another time to spend together. As soon as he got off the bed he start to stretch and settle in. The still drowsy young man strolled to get his usual casuals from his closet. Once he's dressed, he notices a sleeping Hakune on the very same bed he's been sleeping on. "Oh...right." Because of the weeks they spent together in the same home and at the same workplace, the pair grew closer to the point they share a bed like a couple. With that Juinchi move towards Hakune and give her a small kiss to her forehead and soon sees a faint smile coming from his significant other. "I'll get you next time for that one dear..." Hakune sleepily said as she slowly turns herself to the other side taking full reign on the whole bed. "Hakune, do you want me to wait for you and start breakfast?" The young chef asked.
"Um...Juinchi...just start breakfast, okay?...I'll be right there in a couple of minutes…" Hakune yawned as she is clearly still tuckered out. Juinchi let out a nonchalant smile. "Must be those late hours huh?" In which Hakune nodded lazily.
"Oh alright" Juinchi though worrisome for Hakune's strange behavior he does exactly what she asks him to do. He cooked up rice from the rice cooker, while warming up some of the miso soup saved in the fridge and cooking omelets. Once the food is close to being done and cooked, Juinchi serve a bowl full of rice for himself and Hakune on the dining table. After the food has been placed ready all Juinchi has to do now is wait for his girlfriend to finish up her preparation. Come to think of it, it has been twenty minutes after the food was cooked. "What's taking her so long... this is quite the wait even for her." Juinchi thought.
For a while Juinchi finally notices someone coming out from the small bathroom door. The moment his eye's looked at the same direction he turned fully and saw something so unexpecting. He's absolutely floored. His blushes deep red, his jaw dropped significantly, and his eyes widen in awe at what he had just witnessed. Hakune, after she came out of the room and entered the living room. It was obvious that she isn't in her casual wear. Instead, she's wearing somewhat of a fashionable clothing attire. A dark blue short skirt that covers her thighs along with a shiny belt that hung down on the left but stayed up right on the other side. From above is a no shoulder long sleeve sweater with dark red and black stripes overlapping a white tank top from underneath, and to add matching colors to the clothes she's currently wearing are long black stockings that covers her legs up to her thighs. Her hair was done nicely as her hair is tied in a long ponytail and curl bangs on the front. Having witness Hakune in that appearance. There were no words to describe the beauty he's seeing from his very eyes. Thus, unintentionally fallen off from his stool and landed hard on the carpet floor. Juinchi quickly got up and expresses his shock.
"H-H-Hakune?! U-Ummm w-what happened to you w-why are you dressed like that a-and your h-hair! W-woah...ummmm I-I didn't think you would wear something like this..!" Juinchi had totally lost his nerve as his literal nose began to bleed out. Trying to find the most amazing compliment he could think of for her. But before he could do so, he suddenly asked her regarding to this elegant fashion sense. "Wait...was this what you meant surprise for me today? I can tell you asked a certain someone get those clothes for you huh?"
Hakune blushes and stared directly at him for a moment. Looking away as she holds both her hands near her chest. "I-Its just that...you have been doing so well being there for me as my guardian...and keeping me safe from danger. I believe I should reward you...but if you want...w-would y-you..." She hesitantly tried to find her wording. This is literally her first try but finally for a few seconds she spoke what she needed to say for Juinchi as she glance at him with innocent eyes and red filled cheeks. "Please t-take me o-on a date." In her mind she immediately regrets being so blunt making it more awkward than it already is for her and Juinchi. "Ohhhh come on, what am I doing?...That was so bad Hakune! Give your actual best!" She thought cursing herself.
Keeping his cool from her request, he tried his best to get his composer clear and focused. "A date? Ummmm...I don't even know what to say to that Hakune...sure I would love to go out with you but...You don't have to do all this for me...I mean my job is to protect you...and keeping you safe is all I want to do..." Juinchi facepalmed. "All I want to do? Really Juinchi what the hell were you thinking?! You made it sound like that's all you're good at!" He cursed himself. But with that response and avoidance of answering her a simple yes or no question this annoys Hakune in which made Juinchi laugh sheepishly from his usual evasive responses.
With his way of making up an excuse she starts to pout angrily even more at her subtle and submissive boyfriend she becomes incredibly impatient for his indecisiveness. She tried to convince Juinchi that his claim is not good enough for him to be happy. "Juinchi...please...please do this for me, this means more than just having me happy, I want to do something for you… please..." Her eyes sparkled with innocence and holds both her hands tighter seemingly pleading him to take her offer. And what's more who would even deny a girl with a cute sad face that's actually wanting to date you.
He felt stupid for being this oblivious. What's more telling is that Hakune went out of her way to do something for him in return for accepting her. It shows that she is doing this out of gratitude and wanting to bring joy for the both of them. Juinchi got up, walked closely towards Hakune and embrace her with a soft and gentle hug. "Of course, I won't disappoint you here...I'll be glad to take you out on a date." He assures her that by wrapping his arms around her as their bodies meet. Embracing this intimacy.
Surprised from being this close to him, she gave a glance at his face as her heartbeat more frequently than usual as the pounding from within can be heard from his ears. Hakune red filled cheeks are noticed by Juinchi as she proceeds to hug him back to thank him for the acceptance. "Thank you... Juinchi... thank you so much!"
Once he let Hakune some space, he glancesat her with a smile that screams obviousness as he then proceeded to ask her the one question, he's expected to know the answer coming from Hakune. "Hakune, may I ask you a question?" She tilts her head while staring at his reaction seemingly start to realize that he may have figured out something but allowing her curious boyfriend to ask. "Sure, what is it Juinchi?" Hakune said.
"Is this Miyuki's idea of having you dress like that?" He blatantly pointed out.
The shocked expression from Hakune was definitely enough for Juinchi to be right. "Ugh of course it was her all along." Juinchi now showered with clouded rain as he can see Miyuki actually doing this and laughing about it. And to add insult to injury. "Yes! She has been such a great help on what you like so I followed her advice!" Juinchi's eye twitched while imagining Miyuki in his thoughts cracking up from what he had just heard coming from Hakune.
"Miyuki, why does it always have to be you of all people giving my girlfriend your cursed tips and advice." He sighed while looking at Hakune. "Well, I'll get myself ready for our date. Wait for me alright?"
"Sure thing! But before you do I like to show you a few things we can do on our first date!" She took her phone out and showed him a memo. "We can go shopping for some new clothes, checking out the beach docks and piers for some unique sightseeing, and enjoying some luxurious food from those nice restaurants that Miyuki mentioned." She looks on and saw Juinchi's strange reaction as if he's seen a ghost. "Oh no...Miyuki...that's way too pricey for my pocket change! What were you thinking?!" The shocked orange head twitches his eyes even more until he heard Hakune call out to him multiple times. "Juinchi? Are you okay?"
He shook his head and just smiled awkwardly while one of his eye twitches from all these ideas that Hakune mentioned and sighs\ed. "I'm okay I guess..." Then he turns around and rubs his forehead murmuring to himself. "Oh…this is definitely all Miyuki's idea..."
"I'll get myself ready first...while I'm at it you can enjoy the breakfast okay?"
She smiled and nodded. "Okay!"
For a while when Hakune finishes up her breakfast she looked back as she heard Juinchi back and to her own surprise she saw him wearing dark black vertical jeans with a gray buttoned t-shirt and a black inner furred sweater, along with his hair combed back. "What do you think? Not bad right?" And with equal satisfaction he sees Hakune looming over near him to get a feel for his dark leather jacket and the fur from the inside. "So handsome!" Hakune addressed while wrapping her arms around his right arm. "Let's get going shall we Juinchi?" The blushing demoness addressed while Juinchi chuckle and nodded. "Of course."
[At Sendai Town Square, 2:30 p.m.]
Juinchi and Hakune are taking their time strolling with each passing block of the suburban's until they reached downtown of Sendai, on their first stop they arrive at Sendai Central Mall. Once inside, the couples are now browsing some interesting stuff from different store. Until one particular clothing store caught Hakune's attention. A few minutes went by as Hakune tried out some clothes that she likes. Meanwhile Juinchi is currently checking out the shoe section to change his old work shoes for brand new ones. After meeting back with Hakune, Juinchi notices that there are at least three sets of clothing that matches. The young man smirked as he secretly bought those clothes for her, that are worth about 19,000 yen all together. Juinchi is lucky that the clothes that Hakune chose are at fifty percent sale, so he figured Hakune was aware that she didn't want Juinchi buy something too expensive. That sentiment was definitely most appreciated for the young orange head. So, she can make do with the clothes she likes that's actually affordable for her loving boyfriend to buy. Once both of them are done, Juinchi grabbed the bag full of Hakune's clothes and shoe box. All that weight he's holding doesn't faze him anymore due to how much more powerful he got than his previous version of himself before he made the pact with Hakune.
"Hmmm so where to go next." He looked around to see what this mall has to offer for them to enjoy. After strolling about halfway through the mall Hakune began to tug her boyfriend's jacket letting him know she's a bit peck-ish. "Wanna get a quick bite Hakune?" Having heard her boyfriend ask that question rang music to her ears. "So, what do you think we should have?" The famished demoness asked while Juinchi spots a takoyaki cart with no customers in line. "How about we get some takoyaki yeah?" Once again giving a toothy grin, she agrees. "Yes, please thank you so much!" And so, the two ordered a regular size takoyaki pack with 8 pieces of nice, hot, and fresh takoyaki rolls.
Hakune slowly picked up a takoyaki with her toothpick and slowly sets it near Juinchi's mouth and insist Juinchi to open it so she can feed him. "Hehe say Ahhhhh Juinchi."
Obviously flustered at this he did just that. "H-Hakune...o-okay ahhhhhhhh" He open his mouth slowly as said by his pointy eared girlfriend, Hakune gently place it in his mouth and Juinchi took a bite eating it, his first chew actually got his cheeks to blush intensely putting his hand on his cheeks. "Oh, I have forgotten that my taste buds get all sensitive especially having to be fed by you Hakune." The orange head pout incredulously.
"Awwww you're so cute Juinchi." She proceeds to poke his nose as she got up and walk towards the nearest trash can and threw the empty box away. "Shall we get going Juinchi?" Placing her arms around his left arm and being close to him despite the fact that they are at a public place.
Juinchi felt a sign of warmth from Hakune's arms as his heart begin to beat intensely along with his cheeks turning bright red. It has been quite a day since they have had their first date. Seeing Hakune having so much fun, this made orange head feel like he has done a good job not making anything awkward during their very first date together. Hakune took notice of her boyfriend's reaction and lets out a playful smirk while sticking her tongue out at Juinchi for being such a hopeless romantic. This in turn make Juinchi pout and feigns dejection with slight annoyance as he notices that some of the people look at them with envious glances. While others are gossiping about him and Hakune being couples. It just makes it too uncomfortable for the shy young man to take in, but then he feels a tug from his left sleeve as his pointed ear girlfriend notifies him that it's time to go.
After getting out of the mall feeling pretty good that their first stop went well. Having stepped outside the demoness first began to stretch and yawn while Juinchi looked into their next stop mentioned on Hakune's phone memo. "Hmmm hang out in an arcade station." He said based on the memo. "Hehe why not try it?" Hakune insisted. "Sure." And so, the pair of them decided to see if they can find an actual arcade station near any shopping plaza's right by the mall.
It seems that they took about 15 minutes' worth of walking to search for one until Juinchi spotted an arcade place called X-Zone. Both of them entered in and plan to play for an hour. During that duration of game play, they spend most of their time playing some ticket-based games. Hakune is mostly the one who plays these types of games to get tickets so she can win prizes at the prize exchange counter. As for Juinchi he's more interested in those fast-paced high action games like fighting, shooting and classical arcade games. Within a few more minutes they stopped playing, Hakune exchanged the tickets for a cool looking goo lamp, as well as a stuffed raccoon doll, while she gives Juinchi a new miniature laptop carrier that cost 5000 tickets. Due to Hakune's sharp accuracy and luck she made jackpots for each quarter she inserted with the ticket games thus gaining a huge audience and winning cool prizes.
"Woah thanks Hakune! I love this! This is definitely convenient; I won't have to worry about holding my work laptop now that I have this laptop carrier!" Juinchi let out big smile with a thumbs up for her.
"Anytime Juinchi, I hope that new laptop pack helps you in your travels." And so, the two love birds went out for the next and probably last stop for their date.
And as expected the sky hits evening which means they are going to eat at a restaurant near the beach. Luckily after going out of the arcade station, they see a few fancy looking restaurants not far between the mall and Sendai's Public Pier. Once the couple walk towards the mentioned area, Juinchi spotted a good Korean Barbecue. The two settled in and took their designated seat and grill table. Juinchi now picked off samples of meat for the grilling while Hakune comes back with 2 bowls of rice. The two enjoyed every minute of their meal. After spending another half hour Juinchi decided to call one of the servers for a check. He pays 5,600 yen and add a 400-yen tip for their server. Once Hakune have had her fill she got up and places her hands softly on Juinchi's as both walk out of the building proceeding to stroll towards the pier to take in the view of the setting sun shining over the beautiful ocean flow.
"Wow...it's so beautiful wouldn't you agree Juinchi?" She glances at her boyfriend while keeping her hand onto his arm tight as her experience from her past reflects on the life she just has now. She couldn't stop thinking of how lucky she is at this point. Not only did she find the perfect guardian, but she also began to realize how much more she sees this person right in front of her. She never would have thought to even fall for him especially a human, but she did. All she ever has before she met Juinchi was nothing but misery and torment. To the people she met, she was looked down upon as a lowly pest. She was about to end her life back when she was at that alleyway and that's when her life made a huge 180 the moment, she met Juinchi. The sole person who saved her life. Right now, all she can do is please him, make him happy, and repay the lifelong debt she owed him.
"Mhm...it's wonderful" That is until he notices Hakune's sadden gaze as she holds onto his hand with a tight grip. "Hmmm? Hakune is something the matter?"
She places herself on him and plotting her head onto his left shoulder while having her hands holding onto his back gripping tightly. "Juinchi...y-you have no idea how much this means to me….ever since you and I met I assumed you were like those guys who looks down on me. Yet you took me in, fed me, got me a job, becoming my guardian. There is no way I can repay you for all the things you have done. It hurts...it hurts that I can't do anything to make it up to you..." Her grip tightens as she nuzzles onto his shoulder hiding her tears from him, so she doesn't make him think he did something to make her cry. It was all joy and love, but also guilt. "You see the more you provide me with the upmost care and attention, the more it eats at me to a core. So Juinchi..." She finally reveals her saddened yet beautiful face to him as she slowly places her hand on her beloved's face.
"H-Hakune...I-I...I don't know what to say..." His heart begins to beat as he takes in her words, instinct kicks in for the blushing young man as he places his arms around her waist bringing her in. Both have finally embraced, the moisture from their mouths interlocking, the warmth from the intense feeling, the satisfaction from both couples became more passionate as Hakune places her arms around Juinchi's neck while taking in the bliss of such exquisite and lustful experience she is having with her beloved, to the point where she feels her whole-body trembling in excitement. Juinchi tries to not overwhelm her with his own passion as he tries to be gentle for her as he possibly can during their passionate kiss. He strokes her hair mannerly and places one of his hands on Hakune's love handle and feels it thus causing Hakune to blush bright red from the sensation. For a short minute both must break away to breathe. The two look on at each other with heartfelt love for one another.
Their time together will soon end tonight but it has been worthwhile. Just before they decided to go home, suddenly they got ambushed from behind. Both he and Hakune went off from the pier and fell down on the sand. Just before Juinchi regain consciousness he sees three fully formed demons in front of him and to his surprise it's the same ones that attacked him at the Ramen shop. He stood up ready to fight but before he can start his attack, he notices Hakune's not there beside him, he looked around trying to pinpoint where Hakune is. However, the demons lashed out at him when he wasn't paying attention but to his relief, he dodged without taking any serious damage. "Holy crap they're much faster and definitely stronger?!" The demons in front of him are definitely reacting solely on primal instincts. Despite this, Juinchi demand the three fearsome creatures to know where Hakune is.
"Where is she!? Don't make me hurt you guys, if you refuse to answer me! Then you leave me no choice but to go all out!" He ordered and placing himself into a fighting stance until he hears a deep low demonic tone coming from above. Juinchi motions his head up and to his shock he sees what looks like a gigantic muscular lizard man with horns shaped as two crescent moons and teeth as long as pocketknives. Not only that from his right arm he has Hakune by her hair who's struggling to break off his grip being held hostage by the menacing bulking creature who happens to float away from the ground by 50 feet.
"So...you're the guardian I see" The strange demon who clearly has the upper hand as he looks down upon the helpless Juinchi.
"Let go of me damn it! Let me go! You stupid Demi Scum!" Hakune demanded trying to fight off the painful grip of this hideous beast.
"You! Leave her alone! Put her down now! She has nothing to do with you!" Juinchi roared while his blue flames begin to form around him.
"Hmm hmm hmm Oh I will but I wouldn't suggest that since she can't swim." This shocks both Juinchi and Hakune as they turn their gaze at the threatening figure.
"H-huh? How did you..." Hakune finally realizes that the demon holding her hostage is one of the Demi Elites that demolished her entire clan. "Y-you're Raizen!" Visibly shocked at how he was able to get through the portal without being vaporized to dust. "How?! How did you get through?!"
"Heh...so you do remember...princess..now since I got you...I'll make you pay for escaping." Seeing her demand an explanation of how he got through. "Ahh yes the portal's fail-safe effect if a powerful demon dared to enter the portal, then it's guaranteed they'd die." He poked his sharpened teeth with his sharp nails. "Well, I drained out my very essence to my soldiers in order to sustain the minimal amount of demonic energy, enough to deal with the pain of the aftereffects." That utterly horrifies Hakune seeing that he got through the same way she did.
"Raizen if you dare hurt her, I'll make sure you regret it! Do you hear me! Put her down and fight me head on you coward!" Juinchi is close to jumping at him and take Hakune away from that blasted monster.
Suddenly the devilish reptilian quickly places his fingernails from his sharp claws near Hakune's neck. "One more step and this pretty little girl dies..." The monstrous Demi Elite threatening to slit her throat.
"Rghhhh...No wait please don't do it!" His eyes widened stopping his tracks and watched on helplessly forcing himself to stand down for the sake of Hakune. Thus, leaving him completely exposed and open for an attack. "Damn it...please don't hurt her!"
"Juinchi! Don't worry about me you have to fight! He is only bluffing! He's the weakest out of the 5 Demi Elites! Raizen doesn't have any special abilities other than to strengthen the demi's! Juinchi fight bac-!" Suddenly her hair began to hurt the moment the scaly Demi Elite began to squeeze it tightly.
"Shut up! Or I'll slash your throat with a clean sweep!" He turned his attention back at the idle Juinchi watching on hopelessly causing the over-sized reptile to chuckle in a sadistic pleasure. "Now be a good boy and let my underlings beat you to death...since you have done so much damage to them, so you have no choice to let them beat you down like how you did them 10 fold!...And if you do I'll let this girl go safely...it's your fault this happened heh..." Raizen laughed maniacally.
"Don't listen to him Juinchi! It's not your fault at all! Please don't surrender!" Hakune pleading her beloved to do something, anything. "Don't worry about me! Fight!"
He closes his eyes while kneeling down and deactivating his strange blue aura radiating around him. "You'll let her go right?…" He said keep his harsh gaze at the Demi Elite. Hoping this would keep Hakune safe from any life-threatening harm.
Raizen chuckled evilly. "Good boy...and I do keep my promise, now! Torture him to death my minions, see to it that he screams and suffer a fate worse than death! And you little pest I will enjoy seeing the look on your face as your little guardian is ripped to shreds and seeing him suffer for my enjoyment hahaha...hahaha...HAHAHAHAHA!"
The three demons simultaneously attack Juinchi mercilessly where they begin to pummel him in all sides on him, one of them punched Juinchi right at the stomach so hard, the impact has made him cough out blood, the other formed as a dog bit down on his shoulder and threw him to a nearby light pole causing Juinchi to scream out due the intense pain he took, just before Juinchi could get up from that very harsh impact the same demon hound was already in front of the orange head tackling him down biting down on the same shoulder he bit earlier. "ARGHHHHHH! RAHHHHHH!" The pain inducing screams Juinchi let out had caused Hakune to well up in panicked tears and couldn't watch the sheer torture her lover is enduring. The demonic hound let go of the wound and backed away.
Just when he thought the four-legged creature was done, he's dead wrong as the cursed hound did a headbutt uppercut sending the fragile Juinchi flying towards the bulking golem like monster, when he is at the right distance the giant clamp both his giant hands on Juinchi holding onto him tight. The massive golumn began to squeeze the life out of Juinchi. With the pressure getting tighter Juinchi screamed in agony trying to fight off the tightening pressure beginning to crush his insides but couldn't. The ongoing slaughter have the people who witnesses this freeze in terror while others were too scared to call for help, even the police who arrived shortly couldn't do a damn thing on these demon creatures. While Hakune watches on helplessly as she can't do anything but scream for them to stop.
"Stop it! Stop it!" She screamed at them with overflowing tears on her eyes, unable to handle seeing Juinchi getting beaten close to death. "Please stop it! That's enough! Juinch! You must fight back, forget about me and fight!"
Hearing her beg him to fight back, he couldn't do it. The fact that Hakune is still held hostage by Raizen, there's little he can do but let himself be punished for failing his role hoping the Demi Elite would keep his promise of letting her go after he dies. Right now, he has to endure each fatal strikes from the three fully formed demons. Even if he is fast enough to get to Raizen, he ultimately would have killed Hakune the moment he went straight at him. The grip he took on by the golem creature was too much for him, he soon starts to lose consciousness. Once the golem was told to let go, the massive beast has dropped a dying Juinchi who so happened landed hard on the grainy surface eating the sand completely immobile and in incredibly critical condition. Yet he still moved placing his hands up to Hakune trying to reach for her as he crawls feebly right in front of the Demi Elite.
"Hmph still want more huh?" The sadistic Demi Elite laughed.
"You...bastard...I have...done what you told me to do...now let her go..." He plead hoping he would.
"Heh...no, I'd love to have fun with her before she dies haha..." He licked his disgustingly long tongue on Hakune's cheeks as she immediately turned away in sheer disgust.
Juinchi instantly glared directly at Raizen with teeth baring into fangs, his brow furrowed into intense rage as he looked on helplessly cursing at his broken promise and betrayal. "You...you damn...monster! I'll kill you! You hear me Raizen I'll kill you for that betrayal!" He forcibly tried to get up, but only for him to get pinned down hard by the three demi's.
"Now you annoy me...kill him" Raizen ordering the demi with sharp claws to place his claws near his neck preparing to execute Juinchi in order to end his pathetic meaningless life.
Hakune screamed and cried out uncontrollably. "Nooooo!"
Just before the claw demi connects his finishing strike on Juinchi, a blinding shadow blur had bypassed the three creatures. Before anyone could notice, the individual had just unsheathed his sword. The demi's that held onto Juinchi have been sliced to pieces. This instantly surprises Juinchi knowing exactly who did the quick draw speed slash, he set's his eyes on the person responsible. It's Kyto.
"Oh good...I got here in time...sorry about that Juinchi, for being late..." He sheathes his sword back while turning his attention to Juinchi.
"Kyto! H-how did you know we were here?!" That question really did come up the moment he arrived.
"You should thank Miyuki and her friend for letting me know about your situation." Kyto gave a thumbs up for Juinchi as he spits out his cigarette.
"H-huh?" Juinchi totally confused at what he meant.
"It turns out one of her friends noticed you and Hakune and while she fan-girled for your first dates she also saw strange men following you everywhere you go, so she called Miyuki and then Miyuki told me about it, I got worried, so I showed up here since Miyuki told me your plans with Hakune." Kyto explained.
"Thanks...buddy you're the best...and tell Miyuki and her friend I said thanks too...and in return let them know I'll give them 20,000 yen worth of free ramen..." He weakly smiled and puts his full attention on Raizen.
"Why you!" He turned to Hakune preparing to end her meaningless life. "Now you die!" Before he could do the deed, he gave another look at them but didn't see Juinchi anywhere. "Huh where did he go!?" The despicable Demi Elite in a paranoid state scan around the area to spot the fool but sees nothing. Suddenly he could hear a roar coming from above. Raizen quickly glance above him and witnesses a furious Juinchi coming down at him with blue energy soaring with his momentum adding more power as well as his fist being engulfed with pure energy cocking it back for a deadly final attack.
"RARGHHHH! IT'S TIME TO GO BACK TO HELL YOU DEMONIC BASTARD!" He landed a devastating punch straight through Raizen's chest and upon impact the former Demi Elite had completely been obliterated to pieces, he quickly grab hold of Hakune placing her on top of him taking the impact solely on his back as they land hard on the water. With little strength Juinchi has left he uses it all just to push Hakune away from the deep water and successfully got back on shore. However, because of his injuries, fatigue, and constant blood loss, Juinchi slowly sinks to the bottom of the sea beginning to drown.
"Juinchi! Noooo Juinchi Please come back to me!" She tried to get to him but couldn't be due to her inability to swim feeling completely helpless as she sobs without control slamming her hands on the sand. "Noooooo!"
Kyto immediately dives into the ocean swimming to get Juinchi back. Within 2 short minutes Kyto resurfaced with an unconscious Juinchi by his side, this made Hakune overly relieved and thankful. Kyto slowly and carefully placed Juinchi on the hard patch of wet sand near Hakune.
Hakune slowly and weakly walk towards Juinchi as she slumps down placing her head on her boyfriend's body gripping tightly on his soaked shirt begging him to be alive. "J-Juinchi.. you idiot you shouldn't do that to yourself!" Then she held onto his head placing him on her lap hugging him tightly as she sobs for him. "It's..my fault you have to go through all this! It's all my fault!...h-huh?!" She instantly sees a slight movement from Juinchi, Hakune in a panic holds his hand tightly and continues to pray for him hoping that he is still alive then she sets her ears on Juinchi's chest to hear any heartbeat, after that she proceeded to do CPR on Juinchi giving him air. "J-Juinchi p-please don't die...I-I need you...don't die!" She can't take this, not again she is not going to allow this to happen. She will not accept her loss for her lover, Juinchi means the world to her, without him she won't survive on her own, she must do whatever she can to bring him back. He's still alive but hanging on by a small thread. So, she continues to do mouth to mouth for Juinchi until she sees him start to cough, thus bringing Hakune to a relieved shock.
He suddenly coughs out water noticing he was being held on by Hakune. He weakly held onto Hakune's hand gently and slowly his eyes open up staring straight at her. "H-hey...b-baby..…" Shocked and in joy Hakune wrapped her arms around him close sobbing on his shoulder. "Juinchi oh my god I'm so relieved you're alive!…Please don't scare me like that again...! I don't know what I'll do if you have died here!..."
"H-hehe...I'm sorry...for making you worry about me..." But before he could get up, he suddenly passes out. "Juinchi?!" Hakune calls out in fear.
"It's alright...he only passed out." He sets his hand on her shoulder.
To Hakune, this could have been another loss she won't be able to let go. If Juinchi had died, she wouldn't last any longer on this world. Juinchi the person she grew to care for and love. Her friend had told her the same wish right before she was sent to the human world that she wanted Hakune to be happy, being able to live her life to the fullest. When she remembers those words, it points to Juinchi. Her world is being with him, being able to love someone who genuinely cares and loves her on equal footing. Now that she had witnessed her beloved being beaten half to death, she no longer wants to be the one being protected. Next time if anything similar to this does happen again then she'll try her best to become powerful enough so she can protect herself and not rely on her lover for protection. "I can't always rely on him...I need to step up and get myself stronger too…" Hakune thought with unwavering resolve as she look at her beloved Juinchi close to her.
