𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 ➪𝗟𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
Even though I and Natsu had agreed to talk about it later on Friday but since it's the weekend and we didn't have each other's numbers there was no way for us to talk. Which wasn't a good thing but it wasn't a bad thing either. I needed to think. I know that I want to keep this baby. It wouldn't feel right giving the baby up in my heart. Especially knowing that Luke would be an amazing big brother. It also helps to know that Natsu will be there to support me.
Presently I am sitting on our small couch in the living room. It's early morning and I'm currently eating some chocolate ice cream. A couple of days ago I couldn't eat anything without throwing up or feeling like it. And now I can only down sweets. "Mommy..." I hear a soft voice call out. I turn my head and see Luke walking towards me. "Good morning love," I say as I put the ice cream down and he walks into my arm hugging me. "Morning mommy. Why are you eating ice cream I want some," he says. "I'm not supposed to...You know I can't give you ice cream it's too early," he frowns as he lays his head on my chest.
After an hour of him just laying with me watching tv. I decide to go and make breakfast and him being the sweet kid he is he wants to help. We made some cinnamon rolls bacon and eggs. "Orange juice or apple juice mommy," he says as he opens the fridge. "Orange juice!" I say smiling. He grabs the juice with both of his hands and passes it to me. "Thank you very much I say taking it from him and pouring me a small glass and him some in his sippy-cup. I place both of our food on the table and we eat together.
"Mommy I got all the answers right on my test on Friday!" He says excitedly. I put my hand out giving him a high five, "Good job Luke. You're very intelligent, " I say with a smile. That's my baby. "So my love what would you like to do on this wonderful Sunday ?" I say softly. "Park! It looks sunny," he says and I nod. "We will head out to the park today in like an hour or two okay? I just need to speak with Aunty Lev and do some stuff for work," I say softly. "Okay mommy thank you for the food," he says getting up putting the plate on the sink, and runs to his room probably to go and play with toys.
After I do the dishes and go over the tutorials on how to work as Natsu's assistant I go ahead and ring Levy. "Hey, Lu! How was the interview?!" She asks excitedly. "It went great turns out I had known Natsu. We had met at a bar before and he seems to like the type of person I am," I say smiling. "Great! I'm so happy for you Lu," I nod, "tell Gajeel thanks for suggesting this job." "Levy I do have to tell you something. Remember that day when I drove to see you and I let Luke stay with you guys for a good two days for I can take a well-needed break. Something happened that night."
"Go on..."
"Well, you see I went to a bar and I met this guy and he was just the best. His hair was so unusual and his smile could melt any girl's heart. Well, you see me and him ended talking and having a few...Maybe a lot more than a few drinks resulting in us kinda having sex, "I heard a gasp from Levy causing me to jump. "You told me that you were staying celibate you wouldn't even consider going out on a date," Levy says. I blush softly "I know but at that moment in time, he was saying all the right things that gave me butterflies...Everywhere. And one thing lead to another and I had some bomb-
"Okay okay, I get it. But why tell me this now?" She says curiosity dripping from her voice." Well I am pregnant... and it's my boss's baby" I say as I quickly move the phone from my ear hearing two 'What!' "Wait a minute Gajeel is there with you," I ask. "Yeah...We are kind sorta in the bath together I just didn't want to miss your call," Levy said I can tell she is flustered by her voice. "Ew...Ew visuals. Super visual. Okay, we can talk about it later enjoy y'all fun time," I say hanging up despite her and his protest.
I sat there leaning back in my chair. My hand automatically on my stomach. "I can't believe I'm gonna be a mother of 2," I whisper to myself as my eyes tear up. Having Lucas and being with him was one of the greatest feelings in the world and now another one. Despite being under unusual circumstances I am a little happy. But the more I say there and rub on my stomach the more I think about my first pregnancy with Luke. That was such a hard time in my life. There was a lot of sadness going around and all that kept me up was him.
His father contributed to that before and after his death. I just don't want this pregnancy to be a repeat especially because I don't know Natsu that well yet. He seems great his reaction was unexpected. Of course, he wasn't negative about it at all. The total opposite of Luke's dad. I remember coming out of that conversation with bruises for something we were both responsible for. Dealing with an adult who had issues throughout my pregnancy hurt me and Luke. However, I loved him could not let him go willingly so when he died it hurt. A whole lot but it helped tremendously. Bless his soul.
"Well let me get ready for me and Luke's outing before I start to hurt myself with my thoughts," I say as I get up. As I was walking to go and shower I circle back because I hear my phone ring. "Hello" I answer the unknown number. "H-Hey Lucy it's Natsu. I was wondering if we can talk today?" I nibble my lip softly, "I don't know I'm taking Luke out to the park today and I don't want to bore you, " I say nervously. "I'm okay with tagging along if you are and of course your son," I nod. "Let me ask him.." I say as I walk to his room.
I see him playing with his toys, "hey love mommy's work friend was wondering if it was okay for him to come?" I ask him gently. "It's okay! But he has to bring his toys because I can't share mines with him and the kids at the park," he says as he smashes his toy cars together. I giggle softly, "Well you heard him. I'll send you the park location when we are on our way there," I tell him before saying goodbye and hanging up. "Alright, Luke let's go and get ready. You're gonna take a shower then me," I say as I walk to his dresser picking out his clothes.
After we are both showered and dressed. "Luke we look so cute! Look at us matching! We have got to take a picture pretty please," I say. "Can we do it in the park! I want to go," he grumbles. I sigh, "fine.." I say as I grab his hand and we walk out together. I text Natsu the park location as I and Luke walked there because it wasn't too far. When we get there I let Luke go off and play with the kids as I watched while sitting down on a nearby bench. I tend to keep a close eye on the interactions between other kids and my son. Especially because he is a little hot-tempered.
After about 15 minutes Natsu walks in wearing some casual wear. "Hey Luce," he says walking toward me and sitting down on the bench next to me. "How are you and the baby doing?" he asks. "Well the baby has a sweet tooth and is a bit more hungry," I say softly as my hand rubs my stomach gently. "And you?" He says as he leans in. "I'm feeling very confused. Happy one moment to have Luke a big brother and another scared. Hoping that this pregnancy will be a good and happy one," I admit. If he is going to be a dad to my kid then I want our relationship to be an open and honest one.
"You?" I say quietly as I turn and look at him. "Nervous...Very nervous," he says simply as he looks down at the ground. "This is my first time being a father, " he said. "Oh, so it is your first time being one. I was unsure after your doctor just randomly pulled out a pregnancy test," I say shrugging. "We like to keep them because my ex liked to drop the I'm pregnant we can't break up the line. There was no point ...She had me hooked at the time she knew I was gonna stay whether she was pregnant or not," he says as he scratches the back of his head. "Sounds very dysfunctional...Are you guys still?" I ask.
"No, not at all. I broke it off about 2 weeks before we meant. I mean I'm not going to lie we've texted but I'm trying to leave her behind. We've been together since high school you know. Well, it was on and off but It's hard to let go of that first love stage," Natsu replied openly. "I understand where you are coming from wholeheartedly, however...Thinking about the baby it doesn't matter to me whether you decide to get back together with her I just would not like her around my kids," I say maybe a bit harshly. She just sounds like a person I wouldn't like. Something off.
"Understandable. I will respect that. Anything else?" he says considerate of my feelings. "I mean there's nothing. This doesn't have anything to do with you but Luke doesn't have a dad. It would be nice if when you're around until I figure out how he feels to not rub it in. It would hurt me to see him hurt over something he can't control," I say as I wipe my eyes. The thought of that gets me very emotional. "You don't even have to ask that I understand," he says as he rubs my back gently. "Mommy mommy!" Luke calls as he runs to me. A smile flashes across my face covering any trace of sadness from him. "Look look! I found this cool rock," he says holding it up proudly.
"It looks cool! Supper cool can I see it?" I say softly. He nods passing it to me and I take an intriguing look at it. "It's two different colors hm?" I say softly. "Yeah! Yeah! Isn't it great," I nod immediately passing it back to him. Suddenly he notices Natsu. "Is that you're work friend mommy? " he asks softly. I nod gently. "Hello I am Lucas but you can call me Luke!" He says sticking his hand out. I watch their interaction. Natsu quickly sticks his hand out shaking his grinning, "I'm Natsu! Your mommy's friend. I've heard a lot about you," he says.
"Really. I did not hear anything from you. But you should be a good person because mommy only makes good people like her friends. Like my aunty Lev and uncle Gajeel!" He says as he cheers. A small smirk appears on my lips. "Ah, I know them both. Can I tell you a little secret," he says and Luke nods. Natsu leans in whispering something in his ear. My eyebrow raises as he erupts into laughter which causes me to smile. After a minute Lucas went back out to play. "What did you tell him?" I ask curiously. "Hey, it's a secret.."
