After a few moments of excitement Carol Danvers otherwise known as Captain Marvel and the dean of Avengers Campus was delivering an inspirational speech, however backstage the kids were antsy with Cassie askijg how much longer that Carol wasgoing to talk for until Shocket had the best idea ever saying that maybe, Cassie coulduseone of hershrink-discsto get thingsgoing which made Lindaimpressed only she knew sometimes Shocket's ideassometimes her ideasblew up in her furry face sometimes, saying they shouldbe patient seeing it was finally time, hearing rapt applause and cheering, as Carol revealedthe newest members in the Avengers Internship program, making everybody impressed with the bloggers livestreaming and repirters asjing questionsof them which made them grin like their parents seeing Casey happy for Shocket along with her dad andLylla.
After the ceremony, the party wasstarting making everybody impressed, with plenty offood, drinks plus everybody was talkijg to Shocket and her friends which Casey smirked at seeing others givihg them gifts unaware her cousin saw remembering her idea shehad while she andthe others had been anxiousky waiting for the ceremony, texting on her phone, hearing Linda ask who shewastexting.
"Vasey as I think she should come to the secret party later, it's only fair as she's the reason this is happening." Shocket told her.
Linda thought this was very sweet of her best friend andsoulmate to do this, guessing this was why Rocket hadmade Casey her own special armour so shewouldn't feel left out on today seeing Shocket's phone buzz, sighing saying her cousin was goijg to hangout with her friend, Crystal so would save her leftovers seeing Linda like that, seeing Casey talkijg to Rocket huggihg him before leaving goijg to her dad and Lylla, askijg what Casey had told him seeing him eating shwarma which was somethijg that he andthe others ate, after a successful mission.
"She decided to sleep over at her friend, Crystal'sapartment, you know?" Rocket replied.
"Ohhh, I was gonna invite her, to the welcome-party you know?" Shocket replied
What Shocket and her friends didn't know was that Casey was in on a prank that always happened to the new kids on Pkedge Day called Capture the Villain where Rocket or one of the other Avengers would dress as a villain leading them on a wild late-night adventurethrough the city so because she'd been so calm about Pledge Day, Rocket had decided to let her play the villain which delighted the female-kit that she got to lead her cousin along with her friends on an adventure, and Rocket had given her what she needed for the job.
She then wasgetting ready for this while at Crystal's apartment, making the magenta-furred girl curious, watching her best friend changing into her idea of a super-villain messing up her hair which looked spiky hoping she wouldn't get carried away seeing Casey nod.
"So, you're gonna let your cousin and her friends chase you, maybe beat you up?" Crystal said worriedly, seeing the female-kit put on a kabuki mask stating it was something that always happened on Pledge Day, it waslike a game of sorts which made Crystal guess this was true hugging her before goijg off into the night, hoping she'd be okay, so was beeathing deeply so would watch the livestream just in case.
Rocket grinned recieving a text from Casey saying she was ready for the game to begin telling Shocket and the other kids, that a villain was causing chaos downtown which made the kids fired up especially Shocket leaving the compound, after that the adults along with Amadues Cho andRei-Rei Williams laughing, knowing what was happening, remembering when the adults haddid this to them on the night of their Oledge Day, only wondering who was being the villain if it wasn't Rocket or the otheradults
"Casey isdoing it, something the other kids wouldn't see coming." Rocket told them.
"That's impressive, I hope they find it hilarious as you do." Reid-Rei told him.
Lylla knew that Shocket and her friends would figure it out, knowing Casey would use her powers to defend herself against the other kids's powers which worried Rocket deciding to make sure that Casey was okay, relieving the others seeing Shocket and the other kids chasing after Caseywho they thought wasa villain which madeCasey giggle softly under the kabuki mask, defending herself against their attempts to stop her, gulping seeing Thrud shooting thunderbolts at her, worrying Rocket knowing Casey hated thunderstorms seeing her breathedeeply going on, annoying Shocket that this villain wasn't going down without a fight until she saw Casey's eyes making her freak out accidentally scratching her paw, hearing Casey whimper so Rocket had to step in, before Shocket got hurt if Casey unleashed her cosmic energy.
"Casey hasn't gone rogue, it's a prank we play on the new members in the internship program, where one of the others or myselfdress as a villain leading them on an adventure, it lets us see your skills firsthand, because Casey was okay about today, I let her play bad girl and she did an awesome job, until Shocket got carried away." Rocket explained sseing Casey leaning on him.
"It'scool guys, I had fun helping like the best game of dress-up andtag combined, the adults can help me feel better from all the stuff you threw at me." Casey replied yawning as they were going back to the compiubd and Shocket felt bad for getting carried away thinking her cousin had actually went bad, letting Groot take her to Dr Banner, feeling her dad's paw on her armoyred shoulder assuring her, Casey would be alright, feeling Linda hug her.
"I'll check on her later, she impressed us too, like you and your friends." he told her.
"Alright dad, I'm hungry as that adventure worked up ab appetite." Shocket said.
Rocket chuckled seeing her going with Linda knowing Casey might be hungry after getting her tail kicked by the other kids knowing Ranger and Riley might yell at him for allowing their niece to be a part of the initation prank, going to the party making Casey a huge plate of snacks knowing she hada sweet fang seeing the other Avengers ask, if he was alright, nodding just worried about Casey.
The next morning or later the next morning, Casey began to stir feeling exhausted and sore from last night unaware of how freaked Shocket had been after their dad had shown up revealing it had been a game of sorts to show offtheir skills lying on her furry side, which felt good right now goijg back to sleep just asLylla came in to check on her bringing breakfast, seeing the female-kit sit up gently as it hurt, making the female otter worried despute Casey sayihg she would be alright, stunnedhearing Shocket was worried about het makimg Casey get out of bed, using her flying power as walking hurt stunning Shocket, thinking Casey was getting revenge until Casey hugged her, assuring her they were still friends which relieved Shocket because she looked exhausted from not sleeping last night seeing Rocket understand, knowing this was a good thing asking Casey what she was doing out of bed.
"She was seeing if I was okay after last night's antics, dad." Shocket told him, surprising Casey that her cousin was helping her out when she shoukd be resting impressing Rocket too, guessing her being in the internship program was a good thing hearing the kindergarten teachers that happened to be Darci andJane say, the class pet had escaped making him sigh.
"Thanksfor that, dad seems frazzled, being vice-dean." Casey said.
"It'salright, he'sprobabky flipped oyr after last night, he and the others decided to not do that prank anymore after whatalmost happened but it'sokay." Shocket replied seeing Casey going back to her room to rest up, hoping thingswould cool down lyingon her bed cuddling her stuffed tenuki named Bento takijg medicine which would help her get better.
