Episode 2: "Same Ol' Cliff: Part Two"

So, there they were. All 24 contestants standing at the top of Total Drama's most iconic set-piece, the 1000-foot-high cliff. Furthermore, the contestants quickly came to realize that seeing people stand on the cliff from the comfort of their homes was a completely different feeling than actually being there. As a result, many of them began having second thoughts and wondered if, even after the clean-up, coming to camp was worth it.

Chris: "Welcome, everybody, to your first challenge of the season! Here's the deal… In the waters below you there are a load of small disks, each with your team's symbol on one side and a number value on the other. Each disk can range from one to three points. Your goal is to jump into the water below and collect as many points as possible."

Jane: "Please tell me there aren't any man-eating sharks this time…"

Chris: "No, but there are certain… obstacles that you might wanna watch out for."

Donnie: "Uh, Chris…?", he said, raising his hand. "I think I should point out that I'm not that great a swimmer."

Aaron: "Me neither."

Chris: "Don't worry, boys. With these babies you're not gonna need to swim", he said as Chef began handing out deflated floaties. "These floaties are specially designed to inflate after about 30 seconds of contact with the water, which is the amount of time you'll have to grab points for your team. Team with the most points will get an advantage in the second half of the challenge. You guys are free to start jumping whenever, but keep in mind it's a half hour show."

Liz looked ever so slightly over the edge of the cliff, taking in just how far of a fall it was.

Liz: "Woah, okay then. Who wants to go first?". Everyone was silent.

Steven: "I'm allergic to high falls, it ruins my complexion"

Michael: "So suddenly everyone on both teams started arguing about who would jump, and who would be the first to do so. In all honesty I didn't really care who went first, I just knew it wasn't gonna be me. I wasn't gonna be that poor bastard who ended up bashin' their fuckin skull two minutes in, fuck that."

As Liz tuned out the debates going on behind her, she took yet another look over the cliff. Deep down she was afraid, and knew that there was a chance of facing injury during the challenge, even more so than any of the sports she had participated in over the years. Still, she knew what she signed up for and that she couldn't chicken out now that she was here. She also knew that if she wanted her team to gain traction, that she had to put on a smile and show them that if she can do it, so could they.

Liz: "Fine. I'll go. I mean, how hard can it be?", she asked herself as she jumped off, before diving perfectly into the waters below.

Liz: "Jumping into that water head first is up there as one of the most intense exercises I've ever done. The water was cold, and there was a lot of space with very limited vision to see any pieces. Still, my team was counting on me, and I wasn't about to face the challenge without a fight."

After a few seconds of allowing her eyes to adjust, Liz was eventually able to focus on and grab two Goblin disks, which added up to five points. She was about to snag another three but her floaties had prevented her from doing so, sending her back to the surface.

Sabrina: "Oh no, no, no, no way. There is no way I'm doing this challenge."

Steven: "You're joking, right?"

Sabrina: "Uh, no? Do you see how far that fall is? What if I hurt myself!?"

Chris: "You can chicken out of the challenge if you want to, but then that's potential points right down the drain. Points that could get your team the win. You see what I'm getting at?"

Sabrina: "That sounds fine, you guys can do this challenge without me."

Mary Anne: "Yeah, to hell with that. If she's not doing the challenge, then I ain't either."

And just like that, yet another argument broke out between the remaining contestants. Much like before, people were arguing about who would be the next to jump, some said they wouldn't jump, others called those people out for their cowardice, and once again some people remained silent in an attempt to avoid drama.

Chris: "Y'know, as tempting as it is to stop that, it'll also make for some interesting ratings first day back", he said to Chef, who nodded with his signature toothy grin.

However, the outrage between both teams ended nearly instantly with a whistle. The Goblins turned around, wondering who or what had made the sound, but the Spiders became very aware of the fact soon after. Staring them down with a calm yet stern glare, the one who caught everyone's attention with the whistle, was Ronda.

Ronda: "Look, I don't know any of you, what kind of people you are, or where you come from, so I'm going to be blunt. Our survival at this camp is based on how far we're willing to go to win challenges. Which means you need to suck it up. This isn't a spa, it isn't a playground, and it's not your mom's basement. This is a competition. Now start acting like it, because if you negatively affect my chances of winning because you want to be lazy, you'll wish you never met me."

Ronda: "People will say I'm 'mean' for what I said to my team, and I honestly don't care. I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to exceed and win. If I have to hurt feelings to get that to happen, that's exactly what I'll do."

Mary Anne: "Who the fuck do you think you're talking to!?", she shouted, which prompted Ronda to slowly look in her direction.

Ronda: "Judging by your previous statement, you."

Kevon: "Alright, ladies", he said while approaching Mary Anne. "Let's not do anything we'll—"

As he was right behind her, Anne had absentmindedly placed her hand on his face and casually pushed him away with a surprising amount of force.

Mary Anne: "Who gave you the right to boss us around like that!?"

Ronda: "I did. I'm not about to lose this challenge because of someone like you. Now are you going to jump off as instructed, or am I going to have to assist you?"

Mary Anne: "OH DON'T THREATEN ME BITCH!", she shouted, now with Jane and Donnie holding her back. "I'LL KICK YOUR FUCKIN' ASS!"

Ronda: "I'd like to see you try…"

Mary Anne: "THAT'S IT!", she yelled, managing to break free from Jane and Mary Anne's grip. She then proceeded to run towards Ronda at full force, fist pulled back in preparation to deliver a devastating blow. However, the attack was smoothly avoided with Ronda grabbing Anne's arm and using her momentum to flip her over the cliff and into the water. Unfortunately, though, Anne was too enraged to focus on finding any discs, preferring to get to land as quick as possible.

Mary Anne: "Fucking bitch! YOU'RE DEAD, YOU HEAR ME!?", she shouted, running off to an unknown location.

Ronda: "I'm petrified. So…", she said, now turning towards the other Spiders. "Who's up next?"

Meanwhile, on the Goblin's side, most of the contestants were still hesitant to jump, even with the fact that they had just seen one of their own jump and be perfectly fine.

Ajit: "That Spider girl is right, guys. We may not be the brightest, buffest, or most good looking", he said referring to AJ, Elliott, and Michael, who all gave him offended looks. "But we can do this! We just gotta believe in ourselves!"

As Ajit finished his smaller, somehow less effective speech than Ronda's, he began to run towards the edge of the cliff with full force before leaping off.

Ajit: "WOOOOO! FOR THE MOTH— ", he shouted before he was cut off by an ever-so-painful bellyflop.

Steven: "Ooo! I know that stung…", he winced before Ajit slowly came back up with 2 points in his hand.

Eventually the challenge began to gain more momentum with people who began to jump.

It was Donnie with 4 points.

Then Steven with 6.

Then PJ with 5.

Then both AJ and Jane jumped simultaneously, neither of which were having much luck at finding their own discs: Jane because she couldn't see that well underwater and the discs were hard to identify. And AJ, well…

Jane: "Yo!", she yelled, as she swam up and wiped water from her face. "I'm sorry y'all, I'm not having any luck finding these darn pieces!"

AJ: "I found these red pieces, if you want them", he said, handing her 3 points.

Jane: "Umm… Thanks? Appreciate it!", she snorted.

Understandably, Liz, who was watching that entire fiasco from the beach, was awestruck and questioning if she really saw what she thought she saw.

Liz: "No! You're supposed to go after the green pieces!"

AJ: "Oh, my bad!", he shouted before attempting to recover from his massive mistake. Unfortunately, he had already ran out of time and his floaties wouldn't allow him to swim down further.

Then it was Elliott for 2 points.

Then Kevon for 3.

Then Michael took a shot at it

Michael: 'Holy shit, this is easy', he thought himself with how easily he was scrounging up points, managing to get 9 with time to spare. Despite his pessimistic thoughts prior to the challenge starting, he was actually surprised and somewhat relieved that he was doing so well on just the first challenge. However, out of the corner of his eye he saw something. Something large, long, and red. He turned around and, even with the water in his eyes, saw a large red tentacle swing towards him.

Michael: "HOLY SHIT!", he shouted as he was launched out of the water.

Nikki: "Ooo, was that a giant squid!?"

Chris: "Right you are, my Hawaiian friend."

As Michael landed, after rubbing his head from the impact of course, he quickly checked to see if he at least managed to keep the points he obtained.

Michael: "Oh you gotta be fucking kidding me…", he groaned, realizing that he only managed to hold onto a measly 2 points.

Jeff: "Uhh… I don't know if I can do this, guys."

Gretchen: "Do you want to win or not?"

Jeff: "Yeah, but—there's a giant squid down there man!"

Gretchen: "It's either the squid or me", she said, towering over him.

Jeff: "…"

Jeff: "Alright, giant squid it is", he said before he jumped, obtaining a single point after doing so.

Then it was Cecil for 3 points.

Then Aaron for 1.

Then Sally for 4.

Then Gordon for 3.

Then April jumped.

The deaf twin cut through the water like wet toilet paper with perfect form, a smile on her face as she did so. Much to her satisfaction, she managed to obtain a whopping 6 points during her dive before her floaties forced her to the surface. To everyone else's horror however, the deaf Goblin was unknowingly about to become the giant squid's next victim, as it was quickly making its way over to her.

Elliott: "Watch out!"

Jeff: "Get outta there!"

Michael: "SHE'S FUCKIN' DEAF YOU IDIOTS!"

Sally: "Somebody help her!"

Though the desperate screams of her team went unnoticed, the ripples of water certainly did not. Because of that, the deaf blonde quickly turned around and met face to tentacle with her antagonizer. All she could do in that moment is raise her arms in self defense in hopes of warding off the large, though non-mutated, sea creature. Fortunately for her though, Gretchen soon crashed into the top of the squid's head, rescuing her and knocking it out of commission for the rest of the challenge before coming back up with 8 points.

Gretchen: "You should be more careful", she said, as she carried April out of the water, who was then met with a bear hug from her relieved twin.

Sally: "Are you okay!?", she asked before being met with a nod.

While the twins were embracing each other, both Natalia and Nikki took their turns, both bringing in a collective total of 7 points, making the score 36 to 29 in the Goblin's favor. Ronda realized this and, seeing that she and Gavin were the last two who needed to jump, thought it would be essential to play mind games on the still reluctant Quipnay.

Quipnay: "I… I can't do this!"

Sally: "Just don't think about it!"

Liz: "The Spiders still have 2 people who need to jump, Quipnay. We need these points or else we might lose!"

Quipnay: "I…I…"

Ronda: "Don't sweat it, Quips. You'll be fine."

Quipnay: "You really think so?"

Ronda: "I do. Unless you land the wrong way."

Quipnay: "Wait… It's possible to land in water the wrong way…?"

Ronda: "Of course. Hitting the water on a sensitive body part at that velocity is enough to cause at least multiple bone breaks. But I'm sure Chris has the necessary treatment to patch you."

Sally: "Don't listen to her, she's just trying to sike you out!"

Quipnay was sweating bullets at that point. She didn't want to disappoint her team and possibly get booted off on the very first episode, but she also didn't want to risk severely injuring herself. She bit her bottom lip, dripping with utter anxiety and constantly looking between Ronda, her team mates, and the water while she did so.

Quipnay: "I can't do it…I'm coming down!", she sobbed, causing numerous Goblins to hang their heads down in disappointment.

Ronda: "Perfect…", she grinned as soon as the quipper was out of ear shot. "Alright Gavin, you're up."

Gavin: "Bloody hell, man. W-we're you serious about what you said back there? About breaking bones…?"

Ronda: "Of course not. I just said that so she couldn't get the other team any more points."

Gavin: "Ohhhhhhhh. That's pretty smart."

Ronda: "I appreciate it. Now jump", she said, her stern attitude returning in a flash.

Gavin: "Okay then! Alright… Here I go—"

Mary Anne: "YOU!"

To both Ronda and Gavin's surprise, Mary Anne had sprinted all the way to the top of the cliff, as noted by the very heavy heaving and breathing of her chest. They also quickly noticed the sheer look of murder that was present in her eyes, a consequence of Ronda prematurely throwing her off against her will. This demeaner was second nature for Ronda as she stood there with a nonchalant eyebrow raised, while simultaneously intimidating Gavin. Regardless though, Anne was there for one reason and one reason only.

Mary Anne: "I'M GONNA FUCKING KILL YOU!", she said, sprinting towards Ronda at full force, fist once again drawn back with full intent of beating her to a pulp. A quick sidestep, though allowing Ronda to casually dodge the attack, resulted in Gavin receiving the blow instead and getting launched off the cliff. Despite this, however, he was still able to nab 2 points for the Spiders, sticking a painful yet optimistic thumbs up out of the water.

While Mary Anne was distracted from the unwarranted attack she inflicted on Gavin, Ronda took the opportunity to take her turn off the cliff. Anxiety spread throughout the air as the Spiders prayed she would be able to clutch the win, while the Goblins were praying for the exact opposite. Unfortunately for them, the final Spider managed to leave the water with 9 points in her hands, granting the Spiders the win by a solid 4 points.

Chris: "The winners! The Spectacular Spiders!", he shouted, causing the Spiders to erupt in celebration, while many Goblins groaned and sighed due to being disappointed in themselves; especially Michael, who realized he could've won the challenge for his team had he not lost most of his points and mentally kicked himself for it.

Chris: "Alright, campers. Time for the second part of your challenge! Over to your left are a bunch of wooden crates. Inside the crates are several items you'll need in order to complete the challenge, which you'll do back at the camp ground."

Steven: "Really uh… Really punchin' up the originality this season, Chris. First, we jumped off the cliff, and now we're taking crates somewhere so we can build something?"

Chris: "Thanks for the observation Steven. Anyway, since the Spiders managed to win the last part of the challenge, they get these nifty wheel-carts to help them carry their supplies."

Michael: "Hang on a sec—"

Chris: "First team to make it back to the camp ground and complete their objective will win the challenge, and don't forget, the next three days in the comfort of our spa hotel. Good luck!", he said before driving away.

Michael: "How the fuck are we supposed to win if they end up getting to camp so much faster than us…?"

Quipnay: "Oh, don't sweat it, Michael. It's like Liz said: all we have to do push ourselves and work as a team. Right Liz?", she asked before looking back at Liz, who gave her a warm smile and a nod of approval, even if she too was disappointed from the teams loss. However, upon looking back at the curly-haired boy, she quickly saw that he wasn't amused in the slightest. Her adorable, bubbly eyes met his cold, stern stare before it quickly went wide in shock and intimidation.

Michael: "Thanks for the sentiment, braces", he said with a light chuckle. "Sounds real inspiring coming from someone who didn't jump."

Sally: "Hey, that's—"

Michael: "In all honesty, I'm not even sure why you bothered applying. If you're gonna be like this for every challenge you might as well just quit the game now, save us from having to vote."

As Michael nonchalantly tore into the strawberry-blonde Goblin, most of the other members looked off in the distance, not wanting to intervene as they knew that even though his words were harsh, he did kinda have a point. Liz, however, wasn't having any of that.

Liz: "Hey! That's enough! She has as much of a right to be on this show as you do!", she defended Quipnay, who was trying her best to fight back tears. "Maybe we should vote you off for your bad attitude!"

Michael: "Bad attitude…? Okay.", he lightly chuckled, accepting the fact that he wasn't about to win the argument regardless of the points he put up. He turned his back towards the Latina and walked a good distance to confirm that he was exiting the argument.

Liz: "You okay?", she asked Quipnay.

Quipnay: "Yeah…", she said, wiping away her light tears.

Liz: "I'm glad to hear it. Alright everybody, listen up! The Spiders are already gaining a lead on us, so we'll have to work extra hard if we're going to have a chance at winning. There are 12 of us and 6 crates. So, everybody partner up. We'll need all the help we can get!"

Meanwhile…

While the Goblins were preparing to make their long, arduous journey, the Spiders had managed to take a rather commanding lead, to the point that the Goblins couldn't even see them in the distance. Since there were only three carts, 2 people would take turns moving each while 6 would rest their muscles for a bit. On her break, PJ took the opportunity to begin writing about her experiences up to that point on the island.

'Hey, journal. So, so far the island is exactly what I expected it to be, even with the supposed 'clean-ups' that happened after last season. Can't say I have any strong feelings about any of my team mates so far, though most of them seem alright. Can't say the same about Mary Anne though, that girl has anger iss—"

Kevon: "Watcha writin' there?", he asked, managing to catch her off guard due to how invested she was in her writing.

PJ: "Oh. It's uh… It's nothing, just a log of my thoughts."

Kevon: "Ohhh, so kinda like a diary?"

PJ: "I prefer to call it a "journal'. The word 'diary' sounds a little too girly for my tastes."

Kevon: "I see. That's pretty cool."

PJ: "Thanks?"

Jane: "Yo Kevon! Mind handlin' this cart for a few seconds, my brotha?"

Kevon: "Be right there. Guess I'll see you when I see you", he said before rushing over to Jane.

As he quickly left, PJ mentally paused for a second, surprised that he bothered to check up on her while she was just minding her own business, and in a non-obnoxious way no less. She was used to eyes never being thrown in her direction at school and eyes always being on her at home with her annoying brothers, so the somewhat normal interaction intrigued her, even if she didn't fully know how to comprehend it.

Meanwhile, Ronda was assisting Gavin with his wheel cart. Though her body was busy with that, her mind was fixated on Mary Anne, who was helping Natalia behind her with a still sour expression on her face.

Ronda: "Hey Nikki, do you mind helping Gavin for a bit? My arms are getting a bit sore."

Nikki: "Sure thing!"

Ronda: "Thanks", she said before she made her way over to Mary Anne. "Hey Anne."

Mary Anne: "What do you want", she said, her expression hardening upon seeing Ronda, who noted that although still clearly upset, she managed to cool down a lot between now and the previous challenge, a fact she thought she could work with.

Ronda: "Listen, I can't begin to say how sorry I am about what happened earlier."

Mary Anne: "You mean when you threw me off a cliff…?"

Ronda: "Yes… I've been thinking a lot since that happened, and I just wanted to say that I was wrong. I was so caught up in my lust for winning that I stopped thinking. I had no right to do what I did to you…"

Mary Anne: "Yeah, well… It's whatever now", she said, unable to keep her aggressive demeanor due to what she believed to be a genuine apology.

Ronda: "So… are we cool now?"

Mary Anne: "Yeah. Yeah, we're cool."

Ronda: "Awesome. Here, why don't I take over for you so you can rest your arms a bit?"

Mary Anne: "You got it", she said before hanging behind the group a bit to fix up her makeup.

Natalia: "That was beautiful", she complimented, completely throwing Ronda off guard as she took Anne's place.

Ronda: "What?"

Natalia: "The appeasement that just occurred between you and Mary Anne. It's delightful being able to see people make up like that, in spite of their differences. Most people where I'm from aren't nearly as quick to do as such, so it's good to see members from our team manage to achieve that."

Ronda: "Oh… Of course!"

Ronda: "Survival tip number one, put your enemy in a false sense of security. Sure, Anne and I are on the same team, but once merge hits we'll be enemies. Besides, it doesn't help me to continually be aggressive towards her when she could be a potential vote later down the line. Get on her good side now, eliminate her later…"

Meanwhile…

While the Spiders were getting along relatively well and doing great with their advantage, the Goblins were falling exponentially behind; not just because of the disadvantage they were put at, but also because of the lack of team work present compared to the Spiders. Like Liz suggested, most of the Goblins had gotten in pairs and teamed up on the crates, said pairs being Sally and April, Liz and Quipnay, Steven and Jeff, and Ajit and AJ. However, while Gretchen casually carried her own box with Michael nonchalantly followed behind her, both Elliott and Sabrina lagged behind due to Elliott being too weak to move the box, and Sabrina not even attempting to help as she was trying to get in contact with her father via a spare phone.

Sally: "Elliott, come on!"

The geek had been pushing the crate in an attempt to move it. However, despite all his efforts, the box didn't move an inch. Unbeknownst to the other Goblins, Elliott had been constantly looking back at Sabrina, knowing he needed her help to even move the crate. However, he had actively been preventing himself from asking for any help because not only was he shy given the current situation, but he also didn't want to come off as weak. However, the team losing wouldn't help anything, so he finally mustered up the guts to ask for help.

Elliott: "Hey, um, listen. I know you're busy and all with… whatever you're doing right now, but… I could really use your help with this crate and-"

Sabrina: "Hold on, Daddy", she said as she put her hand over the phone. "What do you want?"

Elliott: "Uh… Nevermind", he sighed as he walked back to the crate.

Sabrina: "What do you mean, 'No'?", she said, referring to her father.

Liz, seeing that Elliott was clearly struggling, had stopped what she was doing to go back for the two team mates.

Liz: "Do you need my help", she asked with a slight tone of annoyance in her voice.

Elliott: "It's okay, I got this", he said as he pushed the box with all his strength, still not moving it slightly, causing Liz to roll her eyes. She was about to help him, regardless of his claims about being able to do it himself, until she realized that her leaving to help him caused Quipnay to start struggling with her crate. Now she was starting to lose patience.

Liz: "Sabrina, could you help Elliott please…?"

Sabrina: "I'm in the middle of a very important phone call, so could you give me some alone time? Besides, Elliott's got this. Don't you, Elliott?"

Elliott: "Yeah. Yeah, I got it… Maybe if I pull… HEEEHHHHHH!", he shouted before tugging on the crate, this time with even more effort than before. Unfortunately, his hands slipped, causing him to fall into the water behind him.

Liz: "What about you. Why aren't you helping?", she said, referring to Michael.

Michael: "What's the point, we're fucked anyways."

Liz: "You—", she began, actively holding herself from getting aggressive, as she knew that wouldn't help anything. "Look, you're upset about losing the last challenge, I get that… but standing here and whining about it without even trying to win isn't going to do anything for anybody… If anything, it's just going to make to make you look like a target if we do end up losing, so do us both a favor and just help Elliott with his crate, will you…?"

Michael: "Fine…", he sighed.

Jeff: "Ugh… I gotta take a leak."

Gretchen: "You take leak when we're back at camp."

Jeff: "I'm literally about to piss myself. I've been holding it since the first challenge."

Quipnay: "I have to go too…"

Liz: "Just go", she sighed. "But hurry up, we're already super behind…"

Later…

Aaron: "Hey, guys. There's the camp ground!"

Gavin: "That was pretty easy. Um, what do we do now?"

Chris: "The instructions for the next part of the challenge can be found inside your crates. Now you just gotta find a way to open em'!", he shouted, before driving away.

Kevon: "So, how're we doin this. Anybody got a hammer or—"

Nikki: "HIIIIIIYA!", she shouted, before ramming her face into one of the crates and busting it open, getting numerous splinters as she did so.

Kevon: "Or that works."

Donnie: "Huh. It says here that we're supposed to solve a puzzle using pieces inside the crate", he read from a note inside the crate. Upon further opening more crates, the contestants soon realized that while the pieces themselves weren't heavy, they were accompanied by very heavy steel balls as a means of making the crates more difficult to carry.

Gordon: "Okay but—did he really have to put all this shit inside the crates? They don't even add anything."

PJ: "It's Chris Mclean, what do you expect."

Ronda: "Less talking, more working people. Let's use our lead on the Goblins wisely."

PJ: "Aye aye, captain", she said sarcastically, warranting a minor glare from Ronda.

After about another half hour, the Goblins had finally managed to make it all the way back to the camp ground. Most tired and annoyed, almost wanting to just hand the win to the Spiders, especially since it looked like they were already almost finished with the challenge. And finish they did, not even allowing the Goblins to start assembling their puzzle once Gretchen broke open their crates.

Chris: "The Spectacular Spiders are the official winners of today's challenge, which means they get to avoid elimination tonight!"

Kevon: "Heck yeah!"

Jane: "Oh yeah, that's what I'm talkin' about!", she shouted, high-fiving Kevon.

Chris: "And, as promised, you guys get to spend the next 3 days enjoying the spa hotel and all its luxuries. Bonus! Goblins, what can I say, sucks to be you right now. I'll see your sorry keesters at the bonfire ceremony tonight."

Later on, all of the female Goblins (except Sabrina, who was still trying to contact her father) tended to their personal endeavors in their cabin in silence. Quipnay changed the rubber in her braces, Gretchen lifted weights, Liz did push-ups, and April read a book while Sally brushed her hair. Eventually though, she interrupted the silence with a question that was on her mind, yet surprisingly no one else's.

Sally: "So… are we not gonna address the elephant in the room?"

Gretchen: "Elephant being?"

Sally: "Who we're voting off. Don't tell me I'm the only one thinking about this."

Liz: "Is it not obvious?"

Quipnay: "It is. I think we should vote Michael. He's super mean!"

Gretchen: "At least freckled boy jumped off cliff.", she said, shutting down Quipnay immediately.

Liz: "As much of a jerk Michael is, Gretchen has a point. We're already gonna be at a number's disadvantage next challenge, we can't afford to drop people who actually add to the team."

Quipnay: "Well everyone else jumped if I'm not mistaken. The five of us, Michael, Steven, Jeff, Elliott, Ajit, AJ. That just leaves—", she paused, as she saw Liz, Gretchen, and Sally all look at each other with half-lidded expressions. "Oh…"

Meanwhile, the male Goblins had taken the initiative and began discussing the vote after going to their cabins.

Elliott: "I don't know, guys. There's so many options for the vote to choose from…"

Steven: "The way I see it, only two people didn't jump on the first part of the challenge. Quips and Bri. Soooo…"

Elliott: "So?"

Steven: "I'll give you a hint. It's the one who's on the fucking phone 90 percent of the time."

Ajit: "I agree. The red-headed demon must be taken down!"

Elliott: "Wait—you guys aren't talking about Sabrina, are you?"

Michael: "She's the only red-head here, dipshit."

Jeff: "I gotta agree with them, dude. Girl didn't do jackshit. And even if she did try to help, she looks like she can barely lift a sandwich. Don't think we'd lose much by kickin' her off."

Elliott: "Oh, come on, guys. We can't kick her off because… because—"

AJ: "Because you like her?", he asked, genuinely curious.

Elliott: "No! Because she could be useful in the future. Besides, Michael's the one who lost a bunch of points during the challenge."

Michael: "You saying it's my fault we lost the challenge?", he said, wasting no time in aggressively grabbing the geek by the shirt.

Elliott: "N-no, but—"Look…None of us were perfect today, alright? We… We shouldn't just gang up on Sabrina, y'know? She has as much potential as anyone else here", he rationalized before Michael put him down.

Jeff: "We still gotta vote somebody, you know."

Steven: "Right. Listen, I can take failure, but I can't take not trying at all. I don't care what you guys say, my vote goes to Sabrina"

Elliott turned around and saw Sabrina, still walking around camp with her cell phone in hand. He bit his lip at the thought of kicking off who he thought was the hottest girl on the island, whom he believed he could've genuinely built a connection with given time. However, he didn't want to go against the guys given the fact that they could've easily had him gone if they wanted.

Elliott: "Do what you need to do…", he sighed.

Later…

Later that evening, the Goblins had all gathered at the area of elimination where voting took place. Everyone was nervous, even though most of them already knew how the vote was most likely going to go down. Afterall, watching the show not knowing who was going to be safe was one thing, but actually living out the ceremony not knowing who was going to go was another.

Chris: "Campers. As teenagers, marshmallows represent a small, white, gooey treat. Here on Camp Wawanakwa, marshmallows represent life. One by one, each of you will go inside of the voting booth and write the name of the person you want to vote out on a slip of paper before putting it in the box. You may now vote"

AJ: "Yo, where I put my name on this shit? Ah, screw it", he said as he wrote his own name on the slip and put it in the box.

Chris: "Campers, there are only 10 marshmallows on this plate. When I call your name, come up and claim your marshmallow. The camper who does not receive a marshmallow will be forced to pack their bags and walk the dock of shame. Which means you are out of the contest… and you can't come back… ever", he said, sending chills up the Goblin's spine. The first marshmallow goes to…"

Chris: "AJ. Quipnay. Sabrina… All three of you didn't get points in today's challenge. Points that could've gave your team the win…"

Sabrina: "What!? What do people have against me!?", she cried, only now realizing she wasn't safe yet.

Chris: "Shush! You're ruining the suspense! The next name I'm going to call is… AJ."

AJ: "Woo-hoo-hoo! Yeah baby, AJ ain't getting out tonight!"

Chris: "Campers… This is the final marshmallow of the evening…"

Naturally, Sabrina was shocked and scared in her situation. Other than reject Elliott a couple of times, though once very aggressively to be fair, she hadn't done anything particularly mean or offensive to ant of the other contestants. She wondered what exactly she did to deserve to be booted so early. Meanwhile, Quipnay was shaking very hard in her seat. His eyes were twitching, hands sweating, teeth chattering in anticipation for Chris to say the last name.

Quipnay

Quipnay: "Yay!", she gasped. "Thank you so much!"

Chris: "Dock of Shame is that way, Sabrina."

As the remaining Goblins munched on their marshmallows, Sabrina huffed and fought back tears, trying her best not to cry in front of her ex-team mates. She may have lost, but she was gonna keep her dignity. As she stepped onto the dock, Elliott looked down, feeling almost as bad as she did.

Meanwhile…

The Spiders were having a pool party in the spa hotel, celebrating their first and hopefully not the last victory. Well, most of the Spiders, as Ronda had went to bed early, and PJ just wanted time to her own.

Cecil: "To the Spectacular Spiders!"

Spiders: "The Spectacular Spiders"

Nikki: "Hey Don! Mind tossing me some of those chocolates?", she asked, before the gamer fell through with her request. She then proceeded to down the entire pack of mini chocolates, making a mess across the entirety of her mouth as she did so. However, seconds later her stomach began growling ravenously.

Nikki: "Uh-oh. We got a fighter over here!", she said, puking in her mouth before drinking it back down. "Ha! Nikki one, puke 0."

Mary Anne: "That is fucking disgusting…"

While the other Spiders cringed at Nikki's casual swallowing of vomit, Kevon had dried off so he could go inside and grab a soda from the fridge. As he did so, he noticed PJ sitting on the far side of the main room writing in her journal by herself. He felt bad considering in all the fun and jokes with Cecil and the other Spiders, he hadn't even noticed she wasn't there.

Kevon: "Hey, you know there's a party outside, right?", he asked, snapping the loner out of her daze, and once again shocking her that someone would check up on her.

PJ: "Oh… I was actually about to check in a bit early."

Kevon: "Suit yourself", he said before going back with the others.

'Hey, journal, it's me again. So, despite my thoughts earlier, the day went a lot better than I expected. Though the camp is still hot and Chef's food is awful, the spa hotel we got as a reward for winning the challenge more than makes up for it. There's also this boy named Kevon who talked to me not once, but twice, to my surprise. It was a bit weird, in all honesty, but it made me feel welcome here. Let's hope the rest of the game goes just as well. Good night for now.'
