Hiccup was placed with a sack over his head and was taken somewhere far away in the middle of Arendelle and the second they took the sack off of his head, Hiccup was blinded by the sudden light as it was night when he was taken. He then looked and saw Pitch was sitting next to where he was placed and was siting.
"What the...? Where am I?" Hiccup asked in confusion.
"In a heap of trouble, boy." Pitch informs him as he wasn't even facing Hiccup and just looking off into the distance.
Hiccup then looked and saw Bruni was sitting on his knee. "The bracelet. Is that what this is about? Because I didn't steal it. I explained it to the handmaiden-"
"What was a handmaid doing with the queen's bracelet?" Pitch asked Hiccup, surprising him.
"What? The Queen?" Hiccup asked with shock spread over his question. "No, she said it belonged-"
"To her mother?" Pitch asked with a scoff. "At least she told the truth about that."
Hiccup's mind was suddenly turned upside down after being told this. "Wait, are you telling me that was the Princess?" Pitch offered no response and Hiccup took that as an answer and couldn't believe it. "I...I was talking-"
"She was toying with you." Pitch breaks to Hiccup. "It amuses her to meet commoners. Did you actually think she like you?"
Hiccup then reached into his pocket and pulled out the hair tie he took.
"What do they call you?" Pitch asked Hiccup.
"H...Hiccup." Hiccup sighed as he placed it back in his pocket.
"Hiccup." Pitch nodded. "People like us must be realistic if..."
"Like us?" Hiccup asked, not following.
"You see, I was once like you." Pitch said as he revealed to be holding the hair tie. Hiccup quickly looked through his pockets and didn't even see Pitch move, let alone pickpocket him. "A common thief." He then handed the hairpiece back to Hiccup. "Only I thought bigger. Steal an apple and you're a thief, steal a kingdom and you're a statesman. Only weak men stop there. You're either the most powerful man in the room, or you're nothing."
"And what am I?" Hiccup question.
"You. You stumbled upon an opportunity." Pitch informed him. "I can make you rich. Rich enough to even impress a Princess."
Hiccup supposed as he looked down at the hair band like he has nothing to lose and knew he wanted to impress Elsa. "I'm listening."
"There's a cave nearby. And inside of it is a simple oil lamp. Once you have it, you shall have your reward." Pitch promises.
They were traveling throughout the whole day and onto night while back at the castle in Arendelle, Elsa was waiting for Hiccup to show and saw that it's been some time since he was supposed to show.
"Still waiting?" Anna asked as she walked out and joined her sister.
"What?" Elsa asked. "No, I..." she just gave up and knew she wasn't going to be able to hide it from her. "He said he was gonna show."
"Well, I'm gonna turn in." Anna tells her and walked back inside and Elsa decided to wait a little longer to see if he'll show.
But sadly that was probably not going to happen as Hiccup approached a gigantic pile of sand that turned into a lion like head.
"Who disturbs my slumber?" The cave asked.
"It...it is I...Hiccup." Hiccup introduced himself to the cave.
The cave seem to think for a second as it stared Hiccup down. "Proceed. Touch nothing but the lamp." It warned him before opening its jaws and revealing s heavenly glow to Hiccup as Bruni hid behind him.
"Remember, fetch me the lamp, I'll set you free and you shall have your reward." Pitch tells Hiccup who nodded in agreement.
"Okay...let's do it, Bruni." Hiccup says to the salamander as they walked into the cave.
They wandered down what seemed to be a few dozen steps until coming into a gigantic opening.
Once there, Hiccup's eyes widened as far as they could go as he saw a room filled to the brink with gold, diamonds, and riches beyond his dreams.
"Look at all of this...this is incredible." Hiccup stated just as he spotted Bruni going for some diamonds. "Bruni! Don't touch anything."
Bruni then stopped and climbed back on to Hiccup as they kept walking through the room. As they did, Hiccup wasn't looking at where he was going and was about to fall off a edge of the cave when he was suddenly grabbed by something and pulled to safety.
"Whoa!" Hiccup cried as he looked and was shocked when he saw what save him...was a dragon?
It had jet-black scales covering his whole body, his sides and wings have small light patches in a pattern similar to that of a manta ray, making his darker coloration more even. It also possesses two sets of wings (one main pair and one smaller pair near the base of his tail). The first pair allows him to do a vertical take-off.
"It's a dragon." Hiccup said with shock as he approached the dragon who cooed at him sadly. "They do exist."
The dragon then gestured down to his second tail and Hiccup sees its trapped underneath a rock. "Oh, are you stuck?" He then walked over and saw he was trapped. "Let's see what we can do!"
Hiccup then began to pull on the rock while the dragon started to flap his wings, causing dust to come into Hiccup's face until he got it high enough to allow the dragon to get free and fly around the room.
Hiccup watched as the dragon flew around at tremendous speed until coming down and tackling Hiccup and licking his face over and over, despite Hiccup's protests.
"Okay, okay, I get it! You're welcome!" Hiccup said happily as he got out of the dragon's grasp and noticed the dragons mouth. "Toothless? Huh, I thought dragons had teeth."
The Toothless dragon then roamed around the cave as Hiccup looked and saw the lamp on an almost spotlight pedestal high up.
Determined to finish his quest, Hiccup began to make his way up the rock-like steps in order to reach the lamp. He went to walk up them and left the dragon and Bruni below.
As he did, Bruni looked and saw a giant shiny diamond on a monkey stand with its hands out as he then walked over to the diamond.
With Hiccup, he walked up and reached the lamp. Looking around for something to happen, he quickly picked it up and saw nothing happen.
Sighing in relief, he looked over the lamp and wondered what made this one so special. "This is what we came down here to get?" Just as he did that, Bruni grabbed onto the diamond, causing it to fall and break against the cave floor. The cave then began to shake and rumble around them and Hiccup looked and saw what Bruni did. "Bruni!"
"You have touché the forbidden treasure!" The Cave of Wonders cried out. "Now you will never again see the light of day!"
Hiccup then looked as a gigantic portion of the wall released an entire river of lava on them and pushed the pedestal Hiccup was on.
Working fast, Hiccup used it as a slide and quickly made it to the bottom before using the steps to avoid the lava as it passed him.
Seeing his widow of escape is closing, Hiccup ran as fast as he could and leaped and reached the main portion by his fingers.
"Help!" Hiccup cried as he tried to climb up as the lava began to quickly rise and reached him. But he didn't have the strength and ended up slipping and plummeting to the lava.
But just at the last possible second, Toothless flew down and saved him as they flew over and saw Bruni was trapped.
"Bruni, jump!" Hiccup cried as he reached his arm out for Bruni to leap onto Hiccup's arm and quickly reached his neck as they flew towards the exit of the cave where Pitch was watching.
Hiccup lead Toothless towers the exit when a giant rock came down and knocked Toothless down and planted itself over his bigger wing.
Hiccup and Bruni were sent flying into the remaining steps and tried to get up. "Help me out!"
"Throw me the lamp!" Pitch demanded of Hiccup.
"I can't hold on!" Hiccup stated, knowing he's going to slip. "Give me your hand!"
"First give me the lamp!" Pitch demanded and Hiccup reached inside and handed it to Pitch. "Hahaha! Yes! It's mine!"
"Now help me!" Hiccup cried as Pitch grabbed him and began to pull him up, but kept him hanging. "What are you doing?!"
"Giving you your reward!" Pitch stated with a grin as he pulled out a knife. "Your eternal reward!"
Bruni then came in and smacked Pitch's head. Doing nothing but angering him, Hiccup saw the opening and kicked off of Pitch and was sent falling as Pitch kicked Bruni into the cave.
As the two fell, Toothless turned to the rock and blasted it with a plasma blast and then flew up and caught the two of them.
Pitch walked away as the cave finally collapsed and he walked away triumphantly. "It's mine. It's all mine!" He then reached into his pocket to take it out, only to reveal it was missing. "What? No. Nooooooooo!"
