"Sweet, the talent show is coming up, and we get to do whatever we want, this should be awesome." Casey heard Shocket tell the other kids that lived at the compound sighing, walkijg off going to her room, which Ranger noticed so hoped that she was alright.
It was a few days after hanging out with her older self, which had been the best day ever in her opinion, where she hadn't worried about her powers goijg wild, she'd also stopped her evil clone, Kora so was texting her older self as they had WhatsApp breathing deeply hearing soft knocking on the door, seeijg her dad come in makijg her worry, was she in trouble?
"Your mom and I were a little worried because the other kids are excited about the talent show, yet you seemed quiet." he said to her making her scowl which surprised him, because she was normally peachy in personality wondering if she was okay.
"I don't think I should be part of it, I'll probably just wreck it like my classroom, it's just safer." she said
"Oh sweetie that was an accident, that won't happen, just think about it." Ranger said hugging her gently.
Casey sighed as she was deciding to go hang out with Crystal and her friends, plus they had band practice which made her happy using the secret tunnel her mom had shown her, she then went to the apartment-building where Crystal lived seeing the magenta-furred girl hug her giggling seeing the rest of their band, Eclipsa which the name had been Dugli, Crystal's uncle who was into astronomy had suggested the name which Casey, Crystal and their friends loved, workijg on an new song.
This made Casey happy, forgetting about the talent-show wishijg her parents could know this, but she liked keeping what she did with her friends a secret, smirking after they had finalised the song, first-bumping making her giggle, seeing their friends goijg home hearing Crystal ask her what was goijg on, her purple eyes wide hearing the female-kit telling her impressing her understanding her friend felt shy.
"You don't have to do the talent-show if you don't want to, we have way more fun being Eclipsa, you know?" Crystal said.
Casey felt much better now after jamming with her friends and talking with Crystal, she loved having friends, feelijg her phone buzz as it was the alert to get back makijg Crystal understand, seeing her fly off which she loved watchijg everytime Casey did that hopijg she could tell her parents how she felt about things like the talent show.
Casey was himmimg the melody of the song she, Crystal and her friends had been workijg on while drawijg up the bands's emblem which was somethijg they had talked about, hopijg they would love it when she showed them relievijg Riley necause Ranger had told her why Casey was not excited about the talent show compared to the other kids, even Linda and Shocketvwere working on an act according to Rocket, curious about what her kit was up to making Casey flinch.
"Just a project, nothijg to worry about, alright?" she said flustered making Riley get it, hoping she was not doing anything dangerous seeing Casey shake her head saying Eclipsa was for fun which helped ease her stress like taking long flights over the city skyline which she had not done in a while hearijg it was dinnertime, goijg to join the others, at the table hearing Shocket and the other kids excitedly talking, making Casey sigh, guessing what they were talking about, omly the fahitas were distracting her, she loved them smirkimg stunning Shocket because her cousin had been so quiet and scowled all day, it relieved her seeing Casey happier.
After everybody had fallen asleep including her parents, Casey slipped out of the compound in her Raccoon Girl armoyr, flyijg ijto the night which made her feel happy like playing in Crystal's band or eating one of her favourite foods for dinner breathing in the night-air besifes fighting bad guys and helping her fellow raccoons, knowing her parents would see this on the morning news but she didn't care being a secret superheroine and an nocturnal one made her happy.
Around sunrise, she returned to the compiund and her room, changed into pyjamas climbing into bed falling asleep for a while to recharge knowing the others were probably watching the morning news along with Rocket seeing what Raccoon Girl had been up to, at least she hadn't stopped any out of control trains this time.
