Hi guys! I don't know how perfect his part of the story will be, but the things I need to get done will be done, so here is chapter five! I do not own PJO or BoO, as I wouldn't be writing this story for you nerds, Luv!

Chapter Five

(3rd Person POV)

It was now the fourth day in the Capture the Flag, and not too much has happen in between. This was normal for these games, especially with the hunters and the boys in such competition with each other.

Each team had to move slightly closer towards the center, as the zone of out of bounds gets closer towards the center so each team eventually had to become no more than 500 yards' distance of each other.

Team Three (Hephaestus and Nike Cabin) had dug major trenches and had plenty of traps entrenched along the sides of where they formed a metal shack, with their two flags flying high, poking through the top of it. Many were walking around the shack, watching the borders, with their hammer's and spears shining brightly in the sunlight. They were located in the south of what was labeled inbounds, at the base of a hill to their back.

Team Seven (melee fighters of the Hunters of Artemis and the Iris Cabin) had created a small wall with fallen trees around their base, all of the hunters currently inside. The team themselves only had fifteen people that made up their forces, with the very few of the hunters actually gaining a mastery over close range weapons. Not only that, but the Iris Cabin made up of one person, Kayden. Due to the hunters having the blessing of Artemis, they had very heightened hearing, so most who could attempt to come close to their base would be dealt with quickly. Not only that, but Kayden's powers allowed her to survey the area with a one-way iris message, which was very easily sustainable for her, even without water or perfect sunlight. They were located towards the far north, the most northern part of the bounds, on the top of a hill just outside of a very dense forest.

Finally, Team one. Each boy stood in silence, staring at the new map creation on the vine table. Caleb had created a multi staged wall around them, but was one-side for each boy to climb over the wall with steps. This process took Caleb over an hour to do, and left him drained and tired. He was the only one sitting in his chair, almost nodding in and out during the conversation.

Caleb had put many underlying vines beneath the surface of the ground, so any footsteps that were creeping along the ground, were noticed. River, knowing this, kept Caleb awake by constantly and randomly tapping his foot or slamming it onto the ground.

Each boy had looked a little worse for wear, as each boy had interacted with the traps or were too close to the hunters: Dylan's knuckles were very bloody, as he refused to use a weapon. Avery's shirt and pants were littered with holes, but any remnants of wounds had healed quite nicely. River's shirt was torn at the sleeves, with what looked like rough force. Ethan had way too many burn marks on his brightly colored hood, showing his use of fire as a major force for his arsenal. CJ's clothes had many cuts like Avery's, but his were all up and down his shirt. Caleb was looking the best out of all of them, but was still struggling nonetheless.

Ethan spoke, a slight agitation in his voice, "Dammit, this is taking too long. We can't wait for them to fight each other for much longer or it will draw."

The boys nodded to each other in agreement, except Caleb, who only grunted in response.

The mismatch children laughed at that, as Caleb couldn't keep his eyes open to save his life.

As the laughter died down, a grunt was heard from the side of them, causing all the boys to turn and pull out their respective weapons. When they continued to look around confused, an Iris message popped up on the table.

Dylan, having to talk to his mom through Iris messages every week, recognized it first and pulled all the boys (except Caleb as he fell back asleep) towards the right spot to be seen.

Kayden was first in view, wearing all black with many rainbows decaling her sleeves. Behind her, were a few hunters. They wore all deep brown, except for one, who was wearing a Death-to-Barbie t-shirt and a silver tiara. This girl specifically had eyes similar to Dylan, but radiated confidence and authority.

"Hello Team one," she started, "I am Thalia Grace, Lieutenant of the Hunters of Artemis, and behind me is the other melee Hunters."

River then spoke, "Aren't you the girl who was originally a pine tree?"

Caleb, who had some point woke up spoke in the background, "HA, freaking Pinecone."

This caused everybody to laugh, including those on the other side of the Iris Message, except for Thalia, who looked very angry at the laughter.

She spoke, "QUIET!" both sides went dead silent as thunder was heard from a distance. "Thank you, but the point of this message is to talk about strategy. We all are very bored with the stalemates, but don't want to get hurt between fighting two teams. We both know that us two teams are the strongest, and I want us to face off in full battle. To make that happen, we need you to stay away while we get the flags. At that point we can finally face off, and I can show my little brother who's boss around here."

The boys all immediately moved and huddled around Caleb's vine throne. Dylan muttered "one moment" before meeting up with the boys.

River spoke very quickly, "I am so down, we should. I want to beat the Hunters at their full power, and actually have a challenge."

Two boys nodded in agreement, Dylan and Caleb, but the other three thought very carefully.

"Well, what would we lose if we let them attack, we still have more flags." Stated Avery.

"In turn, they could try to side themselves with Team Three," spoke CJ, "then we will have real trouble."

Ethan deep in thought, started, "Well, we can keep ourselves safe, and if they stay to their word, we can get some well needed rest." He nodded towards Caleb. "Especially that one."

The boys then nodded, and turned back towards the Iris message.

Dylan spoke then, "Fine, we accept your deal, but on the condition of we wait to fight until tomorrow-"

River cut in then, "so it will be a fair fight between us and you guys, no point in beating you while your weak right?"

Thalia smiled then, and nodded. "Fine, we accept your terms, and we fight tomorrow when the game starts, best of luck."

The boys nodded in agreement, and Thalia swiped through the Iris Message.

Many thunderbolts were heard in the distance.

(Timeskip, One Day)

The boys were walking back towards the field, Caleb was holding the flags on his shoulder, as they all walked in line. They had a certain tension around them, but they still joked and laughed among themselves nonetheless. Each pause between the conversation was much longer than normal, as everybody was nervous.

The Hephaestus cabin had been completely obliterated, but their traps hit their marks on the Hunters. Many of the Hunters had very almost fatal wounds and only six of them were still able to fight today. Those six were their strongest, and were not to be underestimated.

The boys walked into the open plain, and started discussing many little plans, but nothing worth of note. The fight area was decreased to the size of the plains, and both teams could be seen as they walked towards where they were planning.

Caleb hoisted the flag off of his shoulder, and planted the flag. The boys collectively shouted together, ready to face the world.

"Alright, so currently it is a 6v6, so if they send all their fighters, we send all of ours." Stated River, his battle sense starting to spike. All the boys could see the excitement dancing on his eyes.

"Simple enough," said Ethan, his hand gesturing towards the enemy, "today we go to war."

"As friends." Said Avery.

"As warriors." Said Dylan.

"As BROTHERS!" Said CJ. The boys gathered around in a huddle, each of their hands in the middle. "Today we fight for what we think is right, for victory, and for FAMILY. OLYMPUS ON ME AND FAMILY ON THREE. One, two, THREE."

The word family was heard by the entire camp. Many of the eliminated teams sat on the benches and bleachers that had been set up, sitting right on the sidelines of the field. Many of the medics were standing next to the bleachers and benches, waiting for any injuries to be seen to remove someone.

The boys stood in a straight line, and waited for the horn to blow, constantly looking at each other, nodding, and smiling.

The horn blew, much louder to everybody within the area. Signifying the start of the battle. Each of the boys walked forward, there weapons slowly being brandished and shown off.

Each boy did a trick with their blades, flipping and spinning, or in Ethan's case, juggling his three daggers. As he almost cut himself, eliciting a laugh from the boys, and he quickly put the third blade away. They walked and saw their opponents.

Kayden Aubrus, she looked the same as she did before, with an all-black outfit and a small dagger in her hands, that almost looked like a scythe, made entirely out of Olympian silver.

Rachel, the captain of the hunters, was holding a long spear, taller than Dylan in total size. She had a ring on her left hand, while also wearing all black, from head to toe. She had dark brown eyes, hair, and very easily seemed like a child of Ares.

Amanda, a child of Demeter, walked with twin scythes in her hand. The curved weapons in her hands seemed to fit her hands perfectly, as she spun on in her left hand. She wore all black along with the rest of the huntresses, with a silver deer logo on the top of her jacket. She was the shortest among the girls, but still had a look of disinterest in this fight.

Caitlyn was next, and she had a sword in her hand, but it had one distinct feature on it that made it different from most swords. Its guard had small juts that could snap anything if it could grab it. It seemed very deadly to longer weapons. She wore all black, and small circular glasses on her face. She was a child of Hermes, as the boys could see Hermes' Caduceus on her shoes, and Artemis' deer on her shirt.

Roxy was a different character to say the least. She was a daughter of Hecate. As she was walking, she was holding a small dagger. In her other hand, many spells were variously travelling around her, floating and interacting. They were all different colored circles with Greek runes traveling inside the circles. Each floating spell array was very distinguishable from the others. She had a black t-shirt with huge writing on the front, that the boys couldn't distinguish the words due to dyslexia. Her black pants had a sliver outline, almost one strain of silver, and her boots were black with white laces.

Finally, Thalia Grace. The legendary Captain of the Hunters of Artemis. She currently was wearing her DEATH-TO-BARBIE t-shirt, along with a black leather jacket. Her black pants had holes in them, but still were a very deep black nonetheless. Her spear was currently being tossed in her hands in its mace canister form, and her shield was very noticeable in its silver bracelet form, tightly knitted around her wrist.

The boys all stood in a line, about five feet across from their opponent. CJ stepped forward, the wind of the day blowing his hair all over the place, as Thalia steps forward.

"No hard feelings when we kick your ass's, boys." Said Thalia, a malicious tone when she said boys, almost hating the word.

"You don't even know us and are already judging us. I was going to wish you luck, but now its war, especially if you hurt my family." Spoke CJ, he spoke very calmly, but all the eyes of the boys flashed dangerously when he mentioned the last part.

Thalia only laughed, and responded more light-hearted, "Don't worry little cousin, maybe one day you'll be just like Percy, but you have to earn that spot." She ended with a wink.

At that moment, CJ turned to his boys over his shoulder, and nodded. At that moment almost all Tartarus broke loose.

(TWO LINE BREAKS, ISNT THAT RARE, GRAB A BITE AND LIVE A LITTLE)

Earlier, before the game, the boys had planned for a signal to come from any of them. If someone had nodded his head up, the boys would fight together as one. Due to the fact CJ nodded downwards, all the boys instantly spread out. The speeds of their opponent across from them was almost crazy. Many of the boys backed up and or ran sideways. It was a spectacle for all the people in the stands to see the explosion of action.

Avery had begun running backwards, and farther away from the rest of the group. Soon he stopped, only to see Kayden hot on his heels, in her sprint she begins swinging her bent blade towards his chest. Avery spun on his heels, barely avoiding the blade, and smacked Kayden with his spear. It caught her shoulder and she on slid slightly while wincing as the spot started bruising.

Kayden's irises flashed while she jumped forward, attempting to slide in his guard. It was all Avery could do to duck and dodge most of the blows, while putting as much power as he could into each of his blows.

Avery swung the spear while Kayden was stepping away, and in one big sweeping motion he sliced two long cuts on each of Kayden's arms.

Kayden yelped at the pain, and this caused Avery to lower his spear slightly, "you okay?" he asked.

Kayden only responded with silence, then dashed forward and slice towards Avery's face, which he promptly dodged as the small cut on his face started bleeding.

The girl smiled and wiped the blood leaking from her arms, "not bad, not bad. I won't go easy next time Avery." Then she dashed towards him again.

River had jumped straight backwards, being second in line, and continued putting some space between ground zero. He only turned around to the sound of blades crashing in the distance. Much farther than he expected honestly. He noticed Rachel walking towards him, and his heart started to race.

Rachel didn't say a word when she swung her spear in a sweeping arc, which caused River to jump back to avoid the sweeping blows.

After a few too close sweeping blows, Rachel begun to back off, and River jumped forward.

He brandished his one handed axe with ease, attempting to catch her shoulder.

Rachel brought her spear in between the axe and the handle, and stuffed the blow in its place.

River could feel the bloodlust rise around him, not only his but his half-sisters as well.

She spun out of his blow, and kick River square in the chest, sending him sprawling back. River landed hard and rolled slightly on his landing, getting to his hands and knees to catch his breath.

He smiled at his words spilled out of his mouth, "here I was thinking you'd be a pushover, time to show you how much weaker you really are."

He smiled as he saw Rachel's anger, and sprinted straight at her.

Caleb also jumped backwards, but ran more towards the left, knowing his opponent would be racing right behind him. He put a great bit of distance between, he could hear thunder begin to roll in the distance, but could still see the rest of his friends if he needed to. He turned around to only see many sprouts of corn stalking up his legs, following his path towards where he ran from. He noticed Amanda walking towards him, her arms rising as the corn did.

Caleb only shook his head, and pulled his bracelet into its true form, a large axe made almost completely out of flame resistant vines. It was very large, double bladed, two handed axe, with purple twisting along the blades, as the Celestial bronze had be forged to be purple in color.

Caleb put his axe on his shoulder, and with his free hand he simply snapped his fingers. Vines erupted from the ground, slicing the corn stalks off of his legs, and stood, almost as if they were waiting for Amanda to make a move.

Amanda smiled and took one step forward, which was her first mistake.

She was soon assaulted by vines, as more and more sprouted out of the ground, and launched themselves towards her. She attempted to cut each one before they made contact with her, but each one would eventually grow another in its place.

She soon grew tired of this, and tried to cut them all at once to escape, which failed miserably.

The two that had surrounded Caleb were stronger than normal vines, and they were two thick for her scythes to cut through.

She wretched her scythe out of the vine, and force wheat to grow in their place. She started sweating from dicing up all the vines, and the amount of cuts and bruises on her body started to show her wear and tear.

Caleb only smiled when he noticed that she refused to leave her wheat field, only traveling where she made them grow.

Then Caleb charged.

Ethan dashed to his left, and he sprinted towards the stands. He hit the border of the fighting area, and he noticed many eyes fall upon him as he turned around to face his enemy.

Caitlyn dashed faster than many eyes in the stands almost missed, and she thrusted to stab Ethan in the shoulder.

Ethan slid his daggers along the blade, and with a satisfying schiiing, avoided the blow.

The daughter of Hermes was knocked off balance with the lack of resistance, and Ethan elbowed her in the face.

A massive bruise began forming along Caitlyn's jawline, and she stood back up and faced her opponent.

She held her sword in front of her and spit out a wad of blood that begun to form in her mouth.

Ethan smiled, and flipped the blade in his left hand to reverse grip. He charged forward towards the girl, and quickly deflected her blade from cutting off his arm. He them sliced towards her stomach, but was met with nothing.

Caitlyn had jumped back, and with speed that rivals her fathers, charged forward and began an onslaught of attacks that the boy of the forges could only barely manage to avoid or block, but wasn't successful every time.

He knew in this moment this fight was no longer a game.

Dylan had known his opponent was probably one of the strongest among the group, and a long battle would be almost fatal.

So when CJ nodded his head, using the winds, he charged forward and punched Roxy in the face.

Roxy's glasses disappeared the moment his fist made contact, and using the winds, he propelled himself and his opponent farther and farther, just to put some distance between himself and his friends.

Dylan was taken aback when he landed and Roxy's glasses sat perfectly fine on her face, and the bruise along her face was healing quickly.

"How the heck did you do that with the bruise?" asked Dylan, his confusing taking priority in this situation.

She only smiled as many magic arrays formed along her right arm and said one word, almost missed by most. "Magic."

Many things began happening at once, as beams of destructive power began striking the ground from her arms, narrowly missing Dylan. Dylan could notice the destructive power of each beam began to fizzle out, as a new magic array began forming.

Dylan, noting NOT to let any more of those beams be completed, charged.

His hands were wreathed in small bits of lightning, and the winds were to his back.

CJ stood in the same place as he did before, as the dust of each of his opponents and brothers moving around them began to settle.

Thalia laughed, and began to pull out her weapons. "Boy I really wanted to fight my brother, but I guess I'm fighting another water boy."

CJ, his eyes flashing in power as he held his sword in front of him, "well, this water boy is about kick your ass," and he charged forward, aiming his blow towards Thalia's shoulder.

Thalia brought up her shield to deflect the blow, and CJ made a fatal mistake of looking at Aegis' decal.

Thalia then took this moment to slam CJ with her spear, as it was already wreathed in electricity.

CJ was zapped from the electricity, and knocked back a few feet. He made note not to look at the shield, and to not let the spear touch him.

As the aftershocks left his system, he saw Thalia bring her two fingers down in a manner that would've been inconceivable in normal battle.

The smell of ozone filled CJ's nose, and he stabbed his sword into the ground in front of him and took a slight step back, crouching as he did so.

Lightning immediately struck where he just was, into his sword and into the ground.

Thalia only smirked at this, and said, "Smartass."

CJ only smiled at his older cousin, while pulling his sword out of the ground. He then charged towards Thalia, and brought his swiped for Thalia's legs.

Thalia jumped over his blow, and narrowly missed stabbing CJ in the stomach. CJ spun around the blow and kicked Thalia in the face, she flipped and dragged along the dirt.

Thalia spit out a bit of blood, and stood back up.

CJ noted her smile, and charged again.

Hi guys! Sorry its been a while! I was unsure of how I wanted to do this chapter, but I got it done nonetheless. I could have split this into two chapters, but felt that one massive chapter would make up the lost time. I think I did well, but give me your advice.

I luv you guys, take care, stay safe, and reach out if you need me. –Echo
