8:45 am

Sharon laid on the couch still in her pajamas with her eyes closed and her head raised by the arm of the couch slowly sipping her morning coffee. The team was going into the office later in the day due to a case wrapping up late the night before, and Sharon was relishing the time to simply relax with a cup of coffee versus her standard practice of drinking her coffee while getting ready to head into the office. She missed the days where Rusty would make her breakfast and force her to sit and enjoy it. The majority of the mornings, Andy was as busy as her trying to get ready. It didn't help them that they had one bathroom with one sink and a bedroom that they were continuously running into one another. Andy had even taken to getting ready in Rusty's old room to avoid the traffic jams. It had never bothered Sharon to have Jack's suits hanging in her guest room closets, but it really bothered her when Andy moved a couple of his suits in there. She wanted to rush them back to their cramped closet, but Andy's cooler mind had prevailed and she had to admit he made a compelling argument when she questioned him about it.

Due to the comfortable temps, she had opened all the doors to the balcony. The drapes billowed lazily with the breeze coming in during the early morning hour and Sharon could feel breeze on her face adding to her relaxing state.

Andy came and sat on the couch where her feet were and lifted them up to put them on his lap. Sharon opened one eye to look at him, but he didn't say anything to her. She closed her eye as he started to massage her feet.

Andy was wearing the ugly green robe that Sharon absolutely hated but tolerated. It was more worn than it was before when it first entered her life and she couldn't talk Andy into giving up no matter how many other robes she bought him that he would just end up returning not wanting to waste the money.

As Sharon was starting to really relax, she felt Andy staring at her and she opened her one eye back up. Sure as heck, he was staring at her.

"What's up?" she asked him.

"Nothing" Andy replied. Sharon went back to having her eyes closed and relaxing deeper at Andy's marvelous touch on her feet. While she hated to admit it, the fashionable heels Sharon wore were starting to kill her feet on a daily basis. When Andy suggested she purchase more sensible shoes, which was code word for less fashionable, she about swallowed her tongue.

Sharon, again, felt Andy's eyes upon her and she opened both eyes this time.

"Andy Flynn, I know you have something to say. Just say it." Sharon said with a sense of irritation to her voice.

"So, you know how your nightmares have been gone?" Andy asked her

"Yyyeesss." Sharon responded to him with a long-drawn-out manner now more confused as ever.

"So, we said as soon as you were healthy enough, we would take our honeymoon." Andy continued.

Sharon's mind started reeling at what her husband was saying to her.

She looked at him and inquisitively asked him, "Andy, are you telling me you want to go to Ireland for our honeymoon? We have been married for almost four years. I think our honeymoon period has ended. I think at this point it is just a vacation and we are pretty busy, Andy."

Andy came back with a quick retort. "Sharon, we are always busy. For someone who always talks about living with a sense of occasion, you have missed the boat on this one. Our honeymoon, by the way. Do you realize we haven't even taken a vacation let alone our honeymoon since we got married? We deserve this, sweetheart. I want to go explore Ireland with you. I want time alone with you where we can just focus on one another and not have a murder interrupt it. We don't have to worry about our phones ringing. I want our honeymoon, Sharon!"

Sharon could tell Andy was serious. She put a smile on her face and said "OK. Let's talk to Mason and we can get online and see what is going on in the next couple of months. Maybe they will have some great deals with Covid. Trying to get people to travel again."

"Not in a couple of months, Sharon. I want to go in a couple of weeks. I want to go at the end of our next case. Otherwise, we won't go. You know it. I know it. It won't happen." Andy was quick to respond.

The smile left Sharon's face. "Andy, we aren't planning a trip to the mountains. This is a trip around the world. We can't just pack our bags and go."

"Why not, Sharon? Everything doesn't need to be planned. We can look at some hotels. Book our flights. But let's just wing it. For two weeks, let's just wing it and enjoy each other." Andy responded to her.

Sharon looked deeper into Andy's eyes than she ever thought she had looked before. "Just wing it, huh?"

"What is the worst that happens, Sharon? We move onto the next small village and find another hotel?" He said to her in almost a pleading voice at this point.

Sharon could tell this was Andy letting her know he needed time with her and something about it warmed her. She looked around the room and started to shake her head. She let out a slow breath. She couldn't think of a reason to give Andy on why this idea wouldn't work since he had shot down the reasons she had already given him. After all, two weeks alone with Andy felt like a dream. Two weeks of no phone calls about murders. No life getting in the way. Just her and Andy alone in Ireland drinking in the culture like a fine wine. Suddenly a smile crossed her face. "Let's do this." She said in almost a triumphant manner to Andy.

Andy looked at Sharon and started laughing out of joy to her response. This woman tested him at every level with her dislike of anything impromptu or anything considered a surprise, but she touched his soul like no woman had ever done too.

As the two started to discuss how they would go about letting everyone know and discussing the logistics of the trip, Sharon's phone rang. They both looked at it on the table and knew that it was time to go back to work.
