Anya yawned as she took a gulp of her coffee. It had taken a while, but she and Xander had come up with a solution for the dresses. She frowned as she looked them over.
At least the bunnies had been nice enough to only eat part of the sleeves, she thought. It bothered her that Buffy and Dawn would be stuck with short sleeve dresses, but at least Willow's, Tara's and Hallie's could be salvaged.
She was brought out of her musings by the phone ringing.
"Hello?" she asked.
"Is this Anya Jenkins?"
"Yes," she replied.
"This is Sunnydale bakery. We… Well, somehow… some animals managed to get in our shop and eat your cake."
"They… They ate my cake?" Anya wasn't sure whether she was mad, or about to cry.
"I'm sorry ma'am, but we're pretty sure we can fix it? If you and your fiance can meet us here tonight."

"First the bridesmaid dresses, now the cake?" Xander said as they made their way to the bakery entrance. "I'm starting to think this wedding is cursed."
"I told you," Anya said. "It was bunnies."
"Well, if it is bunnies, then they should have at least had the decency to eat my family's invitations in the mail."
He held the door open for her.
"Thank you for coming at such short notice," a flustered woman told them. "I'm sorry about the cake. We'll give you some of your money back for your troubles."
"What about the cake?" Anya asked, getting straight to the point.
"Well, we don't have time to make a whole new cake, but what about a pre-made one?"
"Will there be enough cake for everyone?" Xander asked, ever the practical person.
"Um, not in the cake itself, but… maybe we could make some sheet cake?"
"What will the new cake look like?" Anya asked.
The two of them spent another hour picking out another cake. Xander making sure it wasn't too extravagant, so they'd have time to make it, Anya making sure the cake looked good.
As they made their way out, Anya half-way listened to Xander chatter, the other half on the lookout for the bunnies that caused the mess in the first place.
FYI, there will be two more chapters coming out after this one, and, no, the rest of them won't follow the format of 'something goes wrong and Anya and Xander fix it while Anya gets mad at bunnies'.
