"So who is it?" Jane asked, glancing up from her desk glancing at Korsak.
"Who is what?" he looked up at her confused.
"You seem like you've lightened up in a week's time, just figured you were with someone. A prospected fourth misses Vince Korsak maybe?" Jane smirked.
"I could ask you the same thing, tough Jane Rizzoli seems to have disappeared lately. Who's gotten your fancy?"
"That's none of your business, plus it's not polite of you to ask me if you didn't answer my question."
"Well you just assumed it was another woman I've been with..." he said nonchalantly causing Jane to almost jump out of her desk.
"You're shitting me, right? I never took you as the taking on a man type, it could explain how you can't hold down a marriage to save your life. Who is it? Do I know him?"
"You know what they say about curiosity and how it killed the cat?"
"But the cat just comes back. You know the whole nine lives thing I thought you knew animals better than humans. Is it Cavanaugh? You really want to be promoted to Sargeant Detective that bad?"
"I can't believe you'd have the audacity to assume I'd sleep with the boss to get what I want. Sean is so hung up on your mother, or haven't you noticed?"
Jane frowned, "I didn't know that, why don't I know that?" she got out from behind her desk and headed towards the District One cafe.
"Where is Jane going in such a rush?" Maura asked as she came into the bullpen. "She promised me lunch."
"She just thought I was sleeping with Cavanaugh. I told her he liked Angela so one can only assume she's talking to her mother right now."
"I see, that talk could be a while, just let Jane know I'll be downstairs waiting for her to join me for lunch."
"Will do Doc. I do have a question for you, how long have you and Jane been..."
"Are you insinuating that Jane and I are more than just friends?" Maura asked, rubbing at her arms.
"I think I seen all that I need. I'll let her know you're waiting for her downstairs." He responded with a wink.
"I have to admit Vincent I don't give you enough credit where it's due."
"I'm not as dim-witted as people like to believe," he smirked as Maura walked away, pausing at something she seen.
"Oh and tell Frost he can come out from underneath your desk. I'm not even sure why he's down there anyways."
Korsak acted surprised and looked under his desk. "Barold how long have you been under there?"
Frost just glared at him, hearing Maura laugh and walk away. "You said no one would be able to see me."
"Well Jane didn't even notice and she was here for at least an hour."
"Yeah I've been down here for an hour do you know how uncomfortable that is?"
"You act like it's my fault you wanted to come in early to... you know," Korsak smirked.
"You invited me here if I recall correctly," Frost made sure the coast was clear before coming up from under Korsak's desk. "Begged for it even."
"I don't beg for anything Barold."
"You're such a bunch of bullshit," Frost rubbed at his neck. "My neck is killing me."
"I'll make it up to you later. My place again, okay?" Korsak asked in a hushed whisper and Frost nodded.
"Yeah sounds good," Frost smiled before going to his desk.
"Hey Frost I didn't see you come in," Jane's voice was heard as she came in. "Korsak I thought you were shitting me about Cavanaugh liking my mother, turns out they're... involved..." she made a face, "That's like if me and Crowe were to..."
"I mean hate sex is pretty steamy stuff Jane, but I'm sure your mind and body are elsewhere on a special Doc who was upset you forgot lunch with her," Korsak smirked causing Jane's face to drop.
"Shit, that's the third time this week I forgotten," Jane rushed off towards the elevator.
"She's so whipped."
"Speaking of lunch... and being whipped," Frost looked at Korsak with a knowing smirk. Korsak closed his laptop and stood up.
"You're quite frisky today Barold."
"Can you please just call me Barry? I told you this several times I'd prefer you to call me Barry."
"Okay Barry, meet me at my car. I know where we can go for lunch."
"Shit Barry," Korsak groaned as Frost finished what he was doing before coming up from between his legs.
"See calling me Barry isn't that hard, is it?" Frost buttoned the older man's shirt.
"Not as hard as you can make me," he gave him a smirk, causing Frost to slap his arm.
"We really have to stop doing this. And I think we had a much longer lunch than intended," Frost's face fell looking at the time. "Shit, much longer than intended."
"Maybe we should just take the rest of the day off. There wasn't much going on anyways," Korsak ran his hand over Frost's pants, giving him a slight squeeze. "I'd much rather be hands on here," he chuckled as Frost squirmed beneath Korsak's touch.
"Yeah? You're such a bad influence on me," Frost leaned back against the backseat of Korsak's car, steadying his breathing.
"You said it yourself the other day, make me yours. Well I'm yours for as long as you'd like," he whispered and Frost nodded.
"Even if you're always going to be mine. Do you want that? I know we only have been well... physical but I don't know how much I can keep this up. I want to be yours and only yours."
"Well Barry, I can make that happen. If that's what you want, but maybe that means we need to start telling people," Korsak asked, stopping his hand.
"Korsak, you know we can't do that. Nobody can know."
Korsak pulled his hand away and ran it through his hair. "Then how can you want to be mine if this is going to be a secret? I think we should get back to work," he huffed before going back to the front seat.
"Korsak I just..."
"You're ashamed of what we do, you can just admit it."
"I'm not ashamed, I'm afraid what people will think, aren't you?"
"I could care less what people think as long as I'm happy it doesn't matter."
"I am sorry Korsak..." Frost frowned.
"Yeah, I'm sorry too," he shook his head. "I really thought you were different. I'd expect it from Crowe, but not from you."
"You and Crowe?"
"For a couple of months Yeah..."
"Well you just seem to be making your way around the precinct. What happened between you and Crowe?"
"He bailed, why do you think you don't see him at work much anymore when I'm on duty?"
"Were you in love with him?"
"I've been divorced three times I'm not even sure that I know what love is. And it's Crowe he has all the emotions of a wet mop," Korsak started the car. "We can just drop it, we're done being a thing Barry. It was fun while it lasted."
"I really am sorry Vince," he patted the man's shoulder.
"Don't be sorry, you must admit it's kind of odd me and you."
"You and I."
"Whatever the case may be, it's over."
But little did they know at that very moment, it was far from over.
