Chapter 4
Japan, The Diet, 1:46pm
The diet is where the representatives of Japan gather and discuss… Well, politics. And now the princess of the Empire stood up to her chair, and stood on the podium. Lelei follows as her translator. The princess introduces herself while lelei translates.
"My name is Piña co lada, princess of the Empire, third in line of the Imperial Throne, leader of the Order of the Rose Knights. would like to express my gratitude to the people of this great nation for allowing me and my brothers to stand here today." Says Piña.
The people who are familiar with a certain cocktail manage to hold their laughter without any signs of change in their faces. If they weren't able to hold their laughter it could end into a disaster between two worlds.
Meanwhile
The JSDFA in the base are dying of laughter, after hearing the princess's name.
"S-seriously?! Piña co lada!? I-I-I can't!" One of the soldiers tried to say the princess's name with a straight face but couldn't. "Her parents must be drunk while giving birth to her!" One of the soldiers said.
For itami, he did find it hilarious but not drowning in laughter like the others. "We're going to need a lot of inhalers after this." Says itami, while looking at kurata trying to pick up shino from the floor dying of laughter.
Back to the Diet
"So princess, what is the reason for the gate opening to our world?" Asked one of the representatives of Japan to Piña, refusing to use her real name otherwise it would end badly. Lelei translates the word to Piña.
"Since the Gate has opened once again, we the Empire thought it would be safer if we knew who the people of the otherworld were." Answered Piña. Lelei translates. "Now that you know, at least a little info about us. What would the Empire do now?" He asked. Lelei translates. "We would like to make a good impression on your country, and perhaps be allies in the future." She answered. "Last question… how did your translator know how to speak our language?" He asked. Lelei translates.
Now this is a hard question to answer. She knows what to say, but it could jeopardize the soon to be ally Japan. If she told them how they knew their language, they could mobilize their army through the gate and destroy the Empire. Piña gulped, and truthfully answered the question.
"That would be… hard to explain. You see in our world, 100 years ago the Khanese who lived in the eastern desert were the 2nd humans to enter Falmart. When the Empire's legion encountered them, they tried to communicate that they wished them no harm. But since we have no knowledge of their tongue, it resulted in a small conflict into a full blown war. The war ended in a stalemate, but the losses of soldiers were tremendous. We lost about 50% of our army because of that. Since we don't want to repeat our mistakes. We decided… to abduct one of your people, to know the language." Says Piña, while lelei translates.
The people in the diet were shocked to hear what the princess had said through the translation of lelei. Those who were watching the diet on their television were speechless, and outraged by such an act. And those who were in the JSDF base reacted the same.
"...Then what is the current condition of our people?" He asked seriously. "They are being treated with luxury, like every noble of our Land. Since they have already helped us, we are planning to send them back here immediately." Answered Piña. "They? You mean there is more than just one that you abducted? What is their name?" He asked. "We only abducted 2 of them, both of them are young women. Their names are Nanami Kuribayashi, and Noriko Mochizuki." She says.
JSDF base
"NANAMI!?" Yelled shino, filled with anger after finding out her sister was kidnapped by these… Imperials. "I swear if something happened to her I'll -" Says shino but got cut - off by itami. "Calm down sargeant, you heard the princess stated that her condition is okay." Says itami. "I don't care lieutenant, you're just saying that because all you care about are your anime, hentai shit. You don't give a shit about other people! Not to mention that - " Shino was about to finish her last sentence when - "For fuck sake sargeant! Do I need to remind you that I am your superior officer here, so the next time I hear your bitchy ass mouth of yours, I will get you suspended for insubordination! Do I make myself clear?!" Says itami, snapping out on shino. "Y-yes sir." Is the only word that comes out of her mouth, still shocked by how itami snapped at her. 'Did I… offended him?' Thought shino. She has disrespected itami many times and he just ignores all of it. Until now. Itami clicks his tongue and walks outside. "Wow, that was the first time I saw lieutenant got mad like that. What did you say to him?" Asked Kurata, which Shino shrugged, stating that she doesn't know.
The other JSDF personnel who saw this were speechless as well to the supposed useless, and lazy otaku. But the high - ranking officer called this his "rare side".
Back to the Diet
The representatives are satisfied with the princess's answer, called Diabo next. Again they asked the prince's name, and his current status or position.
"Prince Diabo, we heard that you spend most of your time reading books in your own private library. Is it safe to assume that you're the brain of the Empire?" He asked, complimenting Diabo.
"I appreciate your compliment, but not really. Yes I do spend my time in my own library, but my father's main focus is my brother, Zorzal El Caesar. He is the first line of the throne, the heir to put it simply." He said. Zorzal is next to be questioned. The representatives asked about Zorzal's military accomplishment.
"Yes, I have led an army." Says Zorzal, Attempting to reignite his pride. "Which of your campaigns do you consider the greatest to disastrous?" He asked. "The greatest campaign that I personally led is against the pirates in the blue sea. I made those sea bandits think we are retreating, but those fools never thought we act as decoys while one of the sea folk mercenaries that I hired infiltrated their ships. My men followed afterwards boarding their ship and defeated those good for nothing bastards. In the end we acquired one of their valuable weapons called the Cannon. And the most disastrous in my opinion, is against the centaur tribe. We were ambushed as we were setting up our camp, I lost half of my Legion that day. May Emroy guide them to his domain." Says Zorzal.
The Diet went on for several hours, lelei was questioned if magic existed in their world. She demonstrated a few spells to the diet, leaving them at awe.
Meanwhile
JSDF base
Youji Itami is sitting on the bench outside of the cafeteria, looking at a photo of younger - self and a woman, and the another photo of himself and a woman in wedding dress.
'Mom...Risa...i'm sorry'. Says itami in his head. "You know, it's very unlike you looking at a memory photo instead of your non - existing wife." Says the man in glasses, Yanagida. "Screw you desk jockey, what do you want?" Asked itami. "Lieutenant Gen. Hazama and the commissioned officers have negotiated with the Royals, before the Diet session and have approved of us to explore "Falmart." Says Yanagida.
"Wait… we're going through the Gate!?" Says itami, surprised. "As long as you and the other expedition team don't pillage any imperial controlled territory, they said." Says Yanagida.
"So get your equipment ready and you'll be leaving tomorrow dawn." He says. "And which team am I assigned to?" Asked itami. "You'll be leading the 3rd Expedition Team, so take care and don't do something stupid, got it?" Says Yanagida. "Yeah, yeah I hear ya." Says itami. As Yanagida left, itami slapped himself lightly to recompose himself. "Focus youji, this is an opportunity you can't miss." Says to himself.

Originally, diabo's questioning supposed to be longer. The representatives were supposed to ask that both Diabo and Zorzal's last name is similar to Julius Caesar, in which Diabo stated that the Roman Empire is the father of the Empire. I decided to remove it, because that plot would go nowhere. Anyway thanks for reading this chapter, honestly I think I understand why some fanfic writers cancelled one of their fanfic. Most likely they are losing interest in their own story. ME INCLUDED. But don't worry I'll try to finish this story before making another. Thanks again and goodbye!
