In Merlin's tower Regina was looking in Merlin's books to find for something. "If we're going to free Merlin, we need witchbane."

"Yeah, but the labels are all faded." Bella comment as she helped them as well.

"Forget the decloaking potion." Emma looked by her mother, who had also a book. "It's not a glamour anyway."

"You sure?" Regina asked to her.

Snow looked at her. "If I'm getting this right, the tree could actually be him transfigured, right?"

"We could find out with a sample." Belle replied to her.

"Yeah, and when we snap off a twig and it turns into a finger, who's crying then?" Regina sighed. "Come on, someone. Witchbane."

"You guys sure you don't want us to just wiggle my nose and get him out of that tree?" The twins asked on the same time.

Snow with her head. "No."

"Your magic is dark now." Regina added. "It's not worth it. I'll just keep pretending to be the savior destined to free him, and we can do this together."

Charming looked at his daughters. "Regina's right, Emma, Caitlynn."

"I heard someone say a woman is right." Arthur looked at Charming. "That's always a safe assumption, isn't it, David?" Then at Regina. "How are you progressing, Madame Savior?"

"Um... progress." Regina replied to him. "Slow but sure."

"It's, uh..." Bella walked towards Regina. "Marvelous having Merlin's own books to work with. It's like talking with the master."

"Oh." Snow came with an idea. "What if we could talk to him?"

The twins looked at their mother. "What?"

"Yes." Regina chuckled. You are... very occasionally... a genius."

"Yes, if we talked to him, he can tell us how to get him out." Belle told to them as Regina had the book open with a mushroom on it.

Charming looked at the picture in the book. "A mushroom."

"Toadstool, actually." Regina corrected him. "Deadly poison. Extremely useful in communicating across barriers, even though spells. Says here it's called the Crimson Crown."

"Yes, I know this name." Arthur comment to them. "It's rumored to grow in Brocéliande, the Forest of Eternal Night. Its existence is the stuff of legend, though. Almost certainly fiction."

"People say the same thing about us." Charming looked at the King. "How far?"

"A half day's ride." Arthur replied to him. "But if it is there, it'll be protected by magical forces."

"You know what, David?" Snow looked at her husband. "Wait until we know more."

"It's not like I'm needed here. It's a chance." Charming gave their son to Snow.

"Oh. Aww." Snow comment as she grabbed into their son and had him in their son.

"I'm taking it." Charming comment as he walked away, Arthur followed him as the others looked each other and shrugged.

In Emma's house, in the Basement. Emma went to swing the dwarf axe at the Stone of Destiny which was holding Excalibur. Then Rumpelstiltskin looked at her and comment. "A dwarf axe. Now, that's a creative path to failure."

"Dwarf axes cut through everything." Emma told him.

"Nothing cuts through magic." Rumpelstiltskin comment to him. "Except maybe a kiss. Have you thought about kissing it out?" Laughed as the axe breaks on the stone. "You're running out of options, dearie. You see, we want you to, uh, snuff out the light. So, we need a hero to pull Excalibur from the stone. Now... and let's face facts that's not gonna be you. So, why don't you stop messing around and go get the hero we need? Oh, and, uh, you and I both know who that is."

Then Emma walked upstairs to see her sister by her husband, who was on the couch, still unconscious. Amelia, Jackson and Aubrey were by the table. The adults were looking thought books, everything that could wake Gold up. They had everything but one thing. "How's he doing?" Emma asked to her sister.

"Not well." Caitlynn sighed.

"But We found a healing spell in one of his old notebooks, and We've got everything put together except for one last ingredient." Amelia added, looking at Emma. "We need an object that touched him when he was still a man, before he became the Dark One."

"You must have something." Emma comment.

"Nothing, yet that we couldn't find, the others are watching us close by." Jackson explained it to her.

"You want me to get you some help?" Emma asked to them all.

"Yeah, I hoped that you could find the object that touched him when he was still a man." Caitlynn replied to her twin.

"Leave that to me." Emma comment. "I know the man, who has something."

Caitlynn looked at her sister. "Hook?"

"Yeah." Emma nodded as then she disappeared in grey smoke.

At the Round Table, there was applause as Arthur knighted Charming. "I dub thee Sir David of the Enchanted Forest. Now of the Round Table. I know "Knight of the Round Table" is pale fire, indeed, next to the title of prince."

"No." Charming looked at him. "I am beyond honored."

"Then rise, Sir Knight." Arthur looked at him as he put his sword away. "Take your place."

Charming moves towards Percival's chair, but King Arthur cleared throat and pointed to the Siege Perilous chair. "Really?" Charming looked at in question.

"I never thought I'd find anyone I trust enough to fill that seat." Arthur replied to him. "But it's yours. It will bear your coat of arms. Not bad for a shepherd, eh?"

Charming chuckled. "Thank you." Then he sat down as there was applause again.

Just then Neal cried and Snow stepped outside the room with her son, followed by Amelia and saw a shadow move. "Someone there?" Amelia asked, glancing at Snow.

Then snow saw who it was. "Can't be."

"It is." The man nodded, he came towers her, but Amelia went standing for Snow, protecting her.

"Who are you?" She eyed at him.

"It's okay, its Lancelot." Snow looked at Amelia as she nodded to her and stepped aside. "We thought you were dead."

"That is a long story." Lancelot sighed. "But trust your eyes... it is me. And right now, my struggles don't matter. What does is that there is a terrible villain in Camelot."

"The Dark Ones." Snow nodded to him. "We know. It's our twin daughters. We're going to fix it."

"No." He shook with his head. "There's another villain. Arthur."

"Knew it." Amelia comment. "There's something about him that I don't trust."

"What?" Snow asked in disbelieve.

"Trust me." Lancelot replied to her. "Camelot is not what it seems." Then they hear an applause again, they looked at Arthur.

Hours later, Emma retrieved the last thing as they were busy with the potion. Then Rumpelstiltskin appeared by Emma. "You know, he doesn't look too good... if I do say so myself. Quite a stroke of luck, you finding something that touched him when he was a man."

"It wasn't luck." Emma told the Darkness. "I worked hard for this."

"That's true." Rumpelstiltskin comment to her. "You crushed Hook's heart even more firmly under your, uh, impractical boot heel."

"Quiet." Caitlynn shouted to Rumpelstiltskin, it just glared at her.

When they were finished, Emma had the sword hovering above Gold. It shattered into pieces as Gold breathes deeply and woke up. He looked at Emma. "What do you want from me? You are the Dark One now, not me."

"That's right. You are not dark. You are also not light. You are nothing. Your heart is a blank slate…" Emma was interrupted.

"Emma, stop." Caitlynn shouted to her sister. "You will scare him away with your talking." She came over to them.

"Sorry." Emma shrugged.

"Oh, don't say something that you don't mean." Caitlynn comment to her. When Emma didn't say anything more as Caitlynn focused on her husband. "How are you feeling?"

"Feels like something is missing." Gold replied to her, then he looked at her stomach. "It's bigger, how long was I in a coma?"

"6 weeks, my love." Caitlynn replied to him.

Gold's eyes went widen. "Wha… What?!"

"Yes and there's something else…. Emma isn't the only dark one, I'm one as well. It went into us both…" Caitlynn was interrupted by Gold.

"It doesn't affect the baby?" He asked as Emma rolled with her eyes.

"No, he or she is growing nicely." Caitlynn replied to him, glancing at her twin.

"What are you not telling me?" Gold asked to her.

"Well, my name doesn't stand on the dagger as Emma's and she is more affected by the darkness than me, think. We haven't really test it." Caitlynn replied to him, truthfully.

"Oh, must we really talk about this." Emma groaned.

"If you don't want to talk about it, then leave." Caitlynn told to her twin.

"Okay." Then Emma disappeared in grey smoke.

Caitlynn looked at her husband. "I will tell you everything that has happened in Camelot, like I told my adopted parents." Gold nodded to her, he's really to listen as he sat up, Caitlynn sat beside him, holding his hand and told him everything about what has happened in Camelot.

Its night time and the twins can't sleep so Emma was whittling dreamcatchers and Caitlynn was making a blanket for her baby. Then there were voices whispering to them as Rumpelstiltskin appeared beside them. "Do you hear it? A sweet sound. A strange sound. Let's go have a look, shall we?" He asked to the twins. Then the twins stood up and walked down a long corridor, towards the room where the voices were coming from. It's Regina's room and the box which holds her dagger was sitting there. "So that's where it's coming from..." Rumpelstiltskin comment. "Your dagger. Since Regina left it in her room, I say, uh, finders keepers." Emma attempted to take it, but is stopped by a magical barrier. "So she put a spell on it. That's nothing for you. Shatter it."

"I can't." Emma whispered.

"I can." Caitlynn shrugged. "I don't care what they think, Regina shouldn't have used it on us."

Then Rumpelstiltskin looked at Emma. "It's calling to its other half."

"Leave me alone." Emma looked at him, on that time Caitlynn manipulate the spell and grabbed the dagger as she had make an fake one and placed it there, the real one was in her room under her bed.

"Your friends cannot protect you." He comment to her.

Emma was getting angry. "Stop."

"You're the Savior." He told her, clearly noticed what Caitlynn had done. "Save yourself before it's too late."

"Get out of my head!" Emma turned around and tried to use her magic to get rid of Rumpelstiltskin, but it narrowly misses Hook who has just appeared. She rushed forward, worried she's hurt him.

"Calm down." Hook slowly approached her. "There's no one here. It's just us. You and me and your sister." Pulled Emma into a gentle hug.

Emma watched Rumpelstiltskin. "He's inside my head. I can't get him out. He's here. He's always here."

"So, you saw myself? How I looked in the enchanted forest?" Gold asked to her.

Caitlynn nodded. "Yes, my love." She replied to him.

"And you took the dagger back?"

"Yes."

"Regina used it?"

"Yes, it was not necessary."

Then Gold side hugged his wife. "When I told you that something was missing…"

"What about it?" Caitlynn looked at her husband.

"I want it back." Gold replied to her. "I have been for 300 years the dark one and I miss that piece of me."

"I understand and we will think of a plan to make that happen." Caitlynn told him as then Rumpelstiltskin appeared for them and only Caitlynn could see him.

"It can only happen, if he kills you." He comment.

Caitlynn looked at him. "Oh, piss off."

"Who are you talking to?" Gold asked, looking confused.

"Your other half." Caitlynn replied, glancing at Rumpelstiltskin.

Emma was now laying down, and was surrounded by her loved ones. She was holding Hook's hook, whilst everyone else watched on worriedly. "What happened to her?" Snow asked to Hook.

"I have no idea." Hook replied to her. "She hasn't said a word."

Just then Charming stood in the doorway. "It's getting worse, isn't it?"

"You don't say." Caitlynn muttered as she had a hand on her stomach, Amelia stood next to her, Jackson beside her as he had Aubrey.

"Caitlynn." Amelia scolded her, clearly she had heard her.

Snow turned to face him. "David, where have you been? I was looking all over the castle for you."

"With Arthur." Charming replied to her. "It turns out he might have a way to help Emma."

"We can't…" Snow was interrupted by Charming.

Charming pointed it out. "If we give him the dagger..."

Then Snow interrupted him in return. "David, listen to me. We can't trust Arthur."

"What are you talking about?" Charming asked her confused. "Who told you that?"

Snow sighed heavily. "Lancelot."

"Lancelot?" Charming looked very confused. "Lancelot is dead."

"That's what he wanted Cora to think, but he outwitted her." Snow replied to him.

Then Regina interrupted them both, sighing. "Hey, not in front of the patient, given the state that she's in, anything could set her off. She needs rest... Somewhere quiet and away from prying eyes."

"I know the perfect place." Henry comment, looking at them.

"Perhaps me and the boy should take her there. Come on, love. Let's sail away." Hook helped Emma to stand as they leave the scene.

"Well, then I'm going to my room." Caitlynn told them as she stood up and walked out of the room.

"We are going too." Amelia told them as then she, Jackson and Aubrey also leave there.

Snow and Amelia arrived at Granny's diner where Lancelot was hiding. Amelia was very surprised that Snow had asked to her to tag along, they both knew that Caitlynn needed her rest, cause being pregnant and the dark one, but Amelia also new that they may needed magic and had told her everything about her what she and Charming were planning and she was gladly to help. Everything for the twins. "You can come out. It's us. It turns out we need your help." Snow called as Lancelot came out of hiding. "There's something we must hide." Then she shows Lancelot the dagger.

Snow, Amelia and Lancelot make their way through the forest together. "You never told me what happened between you and Guinevere." Snow said, glancing at him.

"It's complicated." Lancelot sighed. "But what's happened is in the past. It doesn't matter anymore."

"It does if you still love her." Snow told him. "Do you?"

Lancelot nodded. "Yes. I'll forever love Guinevere."

"Love is a powerful thing." Amelia told them wisely.

They arrived at the vault of the Dark One. "We're here." Lancelot told them.

"Beautiful place." Amelia comment to them.

"The vault of the Dark One." Snow told them all.

Then Lancelot opened the vault by using the correct symbols. When they arrived in the vault, Snow comment. Snow looked around her. "This place. I've been here before. I had a vision. I thought I understood what it meant, but maybe I was wrong. Maybe it was always about Emma becoming the Dark One."

"Visions are strange and confused, but in time." Amelia told to Snow, who looked even more confused. "It will tell you what it mean."

"What did you see?" Lancelot asked to Snow.

"Emma crushed my heart." Snow replied to him. "We have no time to waste. We have to make sure that Arthur can't get this dagger."

Amelia nodded to her. "Indeed."

They walked further as they arrived by the alter, Lancelot comment to them. "This altar is the place to secure it, but it's shielded by a nasty protection spell."

Snow sighed. "Well, if it's meant to keep the dagger safe, then maybe a person holding it can be allowed past?"

"Try it." Amelia replied to her.

"Wait." Lancelot stopped Snow. "It should be me."

Then both lady's eyed at him as Snow told him. "You've done enough."

"You need to let me do this, Snow." Lancelot looked at her. "What is it? Don't you trust me?"

Just then Arthur arrived at the scene as well. "Apparently not. And that's a decision she's gonna regret."

They turned to looked at him. "Arthur!" Lancelot exclaimed.

Arthur pointed his sword at Lancelot. "I wouldn't. Excalibur's blade is broken. This one works just fine."

"You followed us." Snow comment. "So I was right."

"It seems you are." Amelia whispered to Snow, who nodded to her.

"Pity your husband didn't listen when you tried to warn him." Arthur shrugged.

"Where is he?" Snow asked to him.

"Searching for you in the wrong place." Arthur replied to her. "Which means if you ever want to see him again, you're gonna hand over that dagger."

Arthur was now pointing his sword at Snow. "Give me the dagger, or I will put this sword through my oldest friend, like I should have done years ago."

"No." Lancelot almost shouted at the man.

"First you try and steal my wife, and now you want to deny me the dagger after all I've done for you!" Arthur shouted to him.

"Please don't hurt him!" Snow shouted and handed Arthur the dagger. "Here."

"What?!" Amelia exclaimed.

"I have waited a lifetime for this." Arthur told them. "Now I control your daughter. I can command her to reunite the sword and free Merlin. Excalibur's blade will be the last thing he sees before I use it to run him through. Then I will use the blade to snuff out the darkness once and for all. I can become what no one thought I could... The greatest king in all the realms." Then he held the dagger up. "Dark One, I command you to appear! I said I command you!"

"She's not coming." Snow smirked.

"Why?" Arthur asked confused. "What have you done to the dagger?"

"The dagger's not real." Snow replied to him.

"It's just useless, stupid thing." Amelia added.

"How?" Arthur asked, looking at the women.

Lancelot looked at the king. "You knew he would follow us."

"Of course." Amelia told him.

Then Charming walked up behind Arthur and draw his sword, pointing it at him. "They weren't the only one."

"Well, I was wondering when you were gonna show up." Snow looked at her husband.

"I had to keep my distance so Arthur wouldn't see me trailing him." Charming shrugged.

Then Arthur turned to look at Charming. "You betrayed me. You broke the sacred trust of the Round Table."

"You tried to trick me with a catchy title and a comfy chair." Charming told him.

"David, you deserved a seat at my table." Arthur looked at him. "Every choice I've made is for the good of Camelot! I'm trying to destroy the darkness!"

"The darkness is in my daughters, so every choice I make is for the good of my family." Charming told him, glancing at Snow and Amelia.

"So this was all a show?" Lancelot looked at Snow and Charming. "Are you even really fighting?"

"Oh, the fight was real." Snow went over to stand with her husband. "Oh, very real. But we quickly realized that fighting wasn't going to solve any problems, so we put aside our differences and thought of Emma's well-being first."

Charming, Snow, Amelia and Lancelot had Arthur handcuffed in Granny's diner as Snow was examining Excalibur. Then Charming comment to them all. "Finally a blade that can stand up to Granny's meatloaf."

Amelia chuckled. "Really?" she asked as he nodded to her.

"So, now what do we do with it?" Snow asked to them.

"Well, Arthur wanted to reunite it with the dagger and use it for evil." Charming replied to her. "But that doesn't mean that it couldn't also be used for good."

Snow looked at her husband. "Like helping Emma and Caitlynn."

"It's a good plan, but also It's their choice." Amelia comment to them.

"We know." Snow told her.

Charming looked at the women. "We can talk more about it as soon as we get back to Camelot and put someone worthy in charge."

"I spent a lifetime putting my faith in a false king. Camelot's true leader... is its queen, Guinevere." Lancelot told them all.

Amelia looked over at Arthur. "Is it me, or is he unusually quiet?" Then she stopped when she hears a horse whinny outside.

"Because he knows something." Charming replied to her.

Just then Guinevere enters with some of Arthur's knights as Lancelot looked at her. "Gwen. What's going on? Why are you doing this?"

Guinevere walked over to her husband and unlocked Arthur's shackles. "I love him."

"No. It's not real. He must have used the sands of Avalon on you. Guinevere, we can break this spell." Lancelot Looked down at Guinevere who was standing in front of him.

"Not interested." She said as she took Excalibur back. "Take this traitor to the dungeon where he belongs." A couple of guards came forward and arrested Lancelot as he watched in sadness as Guinevere kissed Arthur as he was escorted out of the building.

Arthur turned to face Snow, Amelia and Charming. "You're not the only couple with hearts that beat as one."

"The second you lock us up, our friends will know something's wrong, and your secret's out." Charming told him.

Guinevere looked at them. "Who said we're locking you up? We're hoping you can help."

"Never." Amelia told for them all.

"Oh, actually, I'm quite optimistic. Guinevere. Fix this, my love." Arthur comment as Guinevere walked up and blows the sand on Snow, David and Amelia.

Regina and Robin wait for the return of Snow, Amelia and Charming as Regina was pacing backwards and forwards. "You're going to wear out the masonry if you keep pacing. I'm sure David and Mary Margaret are fine."

Regina scoffed. "You think I'm worried about them? Those two can outlive a cockroach. I want to know how their test went. I get antsy when I don't know who I should hate."

Just then, they walked into the room "I think we can help with that." Snow comment to her.

"What took so long?" Regina sighed.

"Turns out David was right." Snow replied to her. "We can trust Arthur."

"And Lancelot?" Robin asked to them.

"Locked safely in the dungeon." Charming replied to him. "He was lying. Our best move now is to give Arthur the real dagger."

Regina looked at them. "I just spent all day hiding it, like we agreed upon."

"Plans change." Snow told her. "Making Excalibur whole is our best chance to help Emma."

Amelia was being quiet this whole time as she knows more and needed to warn the others.

Gold and Caitlynn walked upstairs, he wanted to see his daughter badly. Caitlynn had used her magic on him, so he could walk normally. When they arrived in the living room, Aubrey rushed over to her father. "Daddy, you are awake." She told him happily.

Gold had lifted her up and smiled. "I am."

"Me happy." Aubrey smiled back.

"Me too." Gold nodded as then he glanced at Caitlynn, who smiled at them happily.
