"Get on with it, Captain." Zelena looked at Hook. "That squid ink's going to wear off soon."

"Oh, bitch please." Caitlynn muttered, then she looked at Emma, who stood still, but she saw movement, by her hand. She didn't say anything.

Emma looked at Hook. "Killian, please. What are you doing?"

"You took my memories, Swan. You tried to stop me from knowing the truth." Hook made appear a dream catcher and used it on Emma, then on Caitlynn, he hasn't the chance cause she was already disappeared, they didn't know that she was upstairs. Hook hissed. "And now I'm going to return the favor."

Zelena laughed. "By the look on your face, it would appear someone needs restraining." Then she put the magic blocking cuff on Emma. "There. No more magic for you. Now, I assume, given my helpfulness, you'll allow me to go about my business undeterred."

Hook looked at Zelena. "As long as you don't get in my way, I won't get in yours."

"Ah." Zelena smirked. "I like this new you. Tell me, how does it feel to be a Dark One?"

"It feels like I've been reborn." Hook replied to her.

When Hook and Zelena were gone, Caitlynn went downstairs to find her sister on the couch, looking very sad. "Oh Emma." She took pity on her and went to sit next to her as then Emma laid her head on her sister's legs as then they heard the ethers shouting.

"Emma!"

"I'll check the basement."

"I'll get the upstairs."

"Emma! Emma!" Mary Margaret saw her daughters on the couch, Emma lying down with the magic-blocking cuff on. "Emma. Caitlynn. Hey. What happened?"

"Hook, the bloody pirate." Caitlynn muttered, but her mother heard her.

A little while later, they had explained everything what they know as Regina asked to Emma. "You turned Hook into a Dark One?"

"It was the only way to save him." Emma scoffed.

"And you didn't think of the consequences to everyone else?" Regina asked to her.

"I couldn't just let him die." Emma looked at her. "You can understand that."

"Oh, Emma we understand." Caitlynn nodded. Then she muttered. "That's why you let me know, remember."

"Well, yes, but..." Regina sighed. "Now we have a bigger problem."

"I know." Emma nodded as she also glanced at her twin. "I didn't think any of this would happen. I was trying to get rid of the darkness for good. You can't tell me, after all Zelena's done to you, your life wouldn't be easier if she were gone. I was doing you a favor."

Mary Margaret gave her a glass of water. "Come on. This is premeditated murder, Emma. There had to be another way. You should have come to us."

"Hello, I was in this plan as well." Caitlynn waved with her hand. "I don't get to be blamed as well?" Her mother shook with her head. "Fan-bloody-tactic."

Emma looked at her mother. "And risk losing someone else? I thought the best way to control the darkness was to isolate myself." Then she looked at Regina. "But when I did that, there was no one around to give me hope or tell me when I was being stupid!"

"Fine." Regina nodded, crossing with her arms. "You're being stupid. So, stop it. Right now, we have to clean up this mess."

Mary Margaret shook with her head. "No. We don't. Give us back our memories. Your dream catchers... Regina can access them, can't she? We can piece together Hook's plan and stop him."

"I'm sorry, Regina." Caitlynn scoffed. "I can also do it."

"Yeah, we know, but you are pregnant." Mary Margaret told her daughter.

"Oh thanks, I hadn't noticed." Caitlynn was being sarcastically.

Just then, David came in the room. "I'm afraid not. Dream catchers you said were in the shed... They're gone."

"What the hell is Captain Dark One up to?" Regina asked out loud.

"Captain Dark One." Caitlynn smiled. "That's a good one."

"Now you've come for your revenge." Gold memorized hat Hook said, just a moment ago as it's also the next day.

"The thought had crossed my mind." Hook nodded, smirking. "For this lovely piece of hardware, I think I'll take your hand. For Milah, your heart. For filling Emma with the darkness... hmm, I think your head will do quite nicely."

"Leave my husband alone." Caitlynn hissed at him.

Gold just rolled with his eyes at Hook. "So, what are you waiting for? Get on with it."

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No. I've been waiting centuries for this moment. And I really want to..." Hook breathed deeply. "Savor it." Then he took a sword off a shelf and slides it across the floor to Gold. Then he did the famous Rumpelstiltskin move. "Get your affairs in order, dearie, for we duel at noon on my ship. Where it all began."

"How poetic." Gold scoffed. "But we both know this weapon cannot kill you."

"Ah, true." Hook walked forwards to them. "That sword can't kill me. But this one... can." Then he let Excalibur appear.

"Excalibur." Gold looked at the sword.

"So that's where it went." Caitlynn looked at it with eyes widen.

"Aye." Hook nodded. "Well, now that it's whole, it can no longer control me. But it can... oh, oh, oh!... kill me. All you have to do is take it from me. So, what say you, Crocodile? Shall we finish what we started?"

"Indeed." Gold told him.

-0-

"Once a pirate, always a pirate." Regina comment as they were in her house.

"As a man, Hook spent centuries trying to kill me." Gold told them all. "It makes sense that revenge would be on his mind."

"Why wipe my memory if he was going to announce his plan anyway?" Emma asked to them. "There must be more to it."

"Yeah, even if there is." Caitlynn nodded. "We only have until noon to stop him. And to save you." Then she grabbed Gold's hand.

"What about Merlin's message?" David looked at his daughter, Emma. "He said this "Nimue" is the key to stopping the Dark One."

"Nimue was Merlin's true love." Emma replied to him.

"And she was also the first Dark One." Gold added.

"I know." Emma nodded. "How do we find out more about her?"

"Start your search with the Dark One chronicles." Gold replied to her. "There are many texts that can help us."

"As much as I appreciate devotion to scholarship, there is an easier way. I am still a Dark One. I can protect you, Gold." Emma held up her wrist. "You just have to take off the cuff." Gold just chuckled at her. "You don't trust me." Then she looked at Mary Margaret, David, and Regina in turn.

"Well, if the situations were reversed, would you trust me?" Gold asked to them all.

"I do." Caitlynn replied to her husband. He smiled at her.

Just then, Henry came onto the room, looking at Emma. "So, it's true. You're here."

"Henry." Emma held up her wrist again. "I need you to tell them it's okay to take off this cuff. It's the only way to figure it all out."

"No." Henry shook with his head.

Emma blinked. "What?"

"You lied to us..." Henry looked at her, with an angry look in his face. "About Hook, about everything. Why should we trust you now?"

"Henry, I'm your mother." Emma replied to him, weakly.

"Are you?" Henry asked. "Because the mom I knew wouldn't keep things from me."

"I thought you were the one person who would understand." Emma replied to him.

"I thought you were the one person I could trust." Henry shot back.

"So, you can forgive Regina and Gold for everything they've done, but not me?" Emma asked to her son.

"They've changed." Henry replied to her. "They showed me they changed."

Emma looked at her son. "So did I."

"When we first met, yeah." Henry nodded. "But the minute things got tough, you didn't come to anybody. You decided that you would figure it out on your own. We were a team."

"Operation Cobra." Emma had a small smile on her face as her twin watched her. "I remember."

"But now you just want your dark magic back so you can do it alone." Henry told her. "And I've seen what you do with dark magic." Then he runs upstairs.

"He needs time, Emma." Regina told to Emma.

"At least I didn't break his heart with the girl he loves." Caitlynn comment to her twin, a little angry. At least she would never hurt a child! Then Emma glared at her.

"We should really get to the library." Mary Margaret told them all. "We've got a lot to do."

"I have a stop to make first. I'll meet you there." Regina told them all.

"Let me guess..." Emma looked at her family. "I'm not invited."

Mary Margaret looked at her daughter. "Emma. We love you."

"You don't trust me." Emma told them.

"They don't trust me either, sis." Caitlynn sighed.

"We don't trust the darkness." David looked at Emma. "Stay here and let us save you. It's for the best."

3 weeks ago, Merlin, Amelia, Snow, Charming and Regina were by the Dark One Vault. They were looking at it as Merlin comment. "There's nothing we can do. It's too late. The vault has already forged Hook as its new Dark One."

Then Snow noticed footprints. "He went this way. This way! And then the tracks disappear."

"They do…" Amelia trailed off, looking at the footprints.

"We should split up, search the woods." Charming suggested.

"He's a Dark One." Regina told him. "He can transport himself anywhere. So can Emma."

"We've got to start looking somewhere." Charming sighed.

"There's no time." Merlin told them, sadly. "Of all the paths I foresaw for your daughter, I'm afraid that this was the darkest. We should return to Granny's. Even without my magic, I still have enough ingredients to make preparations."

"We should." Amelia nodded.

"I don't care how bad things got..." Charming scoffed. "Emma wouldn't hurt us."

"Maybe." Merlin nodded. "But this new Dark One, we need as many allies as we can get."

Just then Snow looked at Lancelot. "Lancelot, your mother's the Lady of the Lake. Could she help us?"

"Perhaps." Lancelot nodded.

"Perhaps?" Charming sighed.

Merlin looked at Lancelot. "Lancelot, you should go. She does have great power. The lake is but a two-day journey from here. It's worth a try."

"And if I don't make it in time?" Lancelot asked.

"Well, then you get to spend your last moments with your mother." Merlin replied to him.

Just then, Charming looked at Snow. "We were so close, Mary Margaret. Emma was seconds away from destroying the darkness and ending this."

"And Hook would have been dead." Snow told him, seriously. "She chose love, David. And we would have done the same thing. We'd share one heart because we took the same kind of risk that Emma took. We save each other. That is what our family does. So have some faith in her."

"I do." Charming nodded. "I just hope her faith in Hook is justified."

"Let's get back." Amelia called to them all.

Present time, still by Regina's house. They were walking outside, but Gold stood still as Caitlynn looked at him worried. "Gold? What's wrong? Aren't you coming?"

"I'm afraid my preparations for this battle can't be found in a book." Gold replied to her.

"I understand, but this was your idea." Caitlynn nodded.

"For you and the others, there might be some way to protect yourself." Gold told her. "For me... I've spent an entire life running away from battles. Time to stop."

"You don't have anything to prove anymore." Caitlynn grabbed his hand. "Not to me, my love."

"But that doesn't erase a lifetime of cowardice..." Gold sighed. "Nothing can. Caitlynn... I know that I've hurt you in some ways and you always forgive me, but I also know that not wanting me to die isn't the same as wanting to be with me. So, if I survive this, I want to do better by you. I want to love you in a way I never could before. With honesty and courage. Let me be the man you deserve. The man I swore on my son's grave that I would be and for our daughter. Also for our unborn child."

"You already are." Caitlynn told him. "And I will not let you go alone."

"But…" Gold was interrupted.

"No, but's." Caitlynn told him. "I'm pregnant, but I'm not fragile."

"Okay." Gold nodded. He also knows that not to argue with his wife.

Caitlynn and Gold went back to Gold's shop as then the door opened, bell jingles. "Hello, Dark One. Forgive me if I don't offer you tea." Gold told her sarcastically. "What can I do for you today? Because I assume this isn't just a social visit."

"Gold." Caitlynn scolded him.

"I need help." Emma told him. "To stop Hook, I need to get everyone's memories back, including my own."

"And how do you plan on doing that?" Gold asked, he was angry about what he just heard, that Emma broke her son's heart in Camelot.

"Zelena and Hook used squid ink to immobilize me." Emma replied to him, giving him the ink. "There's still some left."

"And you want me to use this on him during our duel." Gold added to her.

"All I ask is that you last long enough to occupy him while I steal back the dream catchers." Emma told him.

"We will." Caitlynn nodded.

"Ah, yes." Gold held up the ink. "But for that... I don't need this. This... is where that magic belongs."

"What are you doing?" Emma looked at him with eyes widen. "You can't beat Hook without it."

"Well, my feud with the captain predates you by centuries." Gold replied to her. "And if I am gonna beat him, I'm gonna do it with honor. And I will."

"You're on a suicide mission." Emma told him.

"He won't, cause I will go with him." Caitlynn looked at her sister.

Gold scoffed. "Oh, we'll see. But my stakes... are me. Yours are far greater. Do you really think you can win on your own?"

"I know I can." Emma nodded.

Gold laughed a little. "Here's the thing about confidence, Miss Swan... It's great at starting a fight, not so great at finishing one. Good luck." The Bell jingled as then the door closed.

They arrived by the Jolly Roger. Hook greeted them in his manner. "I wasn't sure you'd show." He comment to them. "And you brought your wife, lovely."

"And miss my chance to take your other hand?" Gold asked to him, ignoring his comment about his wife.

"Oh, don't be an ass, Hook." Caitlynn told Hook, commenting on his comment.

"No, this won't do." Hook looked at Gold. "This has to be a fair fight. I can't have your surviving family members blame this loss on your limp." then he waved with his hand and Gold could walk normally. (Author's note: I don't remember, if I had already done it.)

Gold looked around him as he and Caitlynn walked into the ship. "It's been centuries since I stood here a mortal."

"Oh, you mean when I took Milah?" Hook scoffed. "I remember thinking that day, what type of sad little man is too afraid to fight for his own wife?"

"Yeah, well, I'm not afraid anymore." Gold had thrown away his walking stick. "I know I have to fight for the people I love."

"Don't you mean die for the people you love?" Hook asked, glancing at Caitlynn, who was rubbing her small stomach.

"We shall see." Gold replied as then there was metal clashing of their swords.

3 weeks ago. They were at Granny's as they saw Emma and Hook coming their way. "There you are! We've looked everywhere for you." Regina comment, relieved.

Snow looked at Emma. "Emma. What happened to you? Are you okay?"

"For now. It looks worse than it is." Emma replied as then her twin came.

"Whaa… sis… you look like a Dark One." Caitlynn comment. "It's beautiful and not like Gold."

"Thanks." Emma smiled at her sister.

Regina looked at Emma. "Are you sure?"

"Aye." Hook nodded. "We're ready to get the sickness out of us. Where's Merlin?" They didn't know that he was laying through his teeth.

Charming pointed at Granny's "He's inside."

"Well, let's get on with it, then. I'll go get him. Wait here." Hook told them as then he went inside.

Then Caitlynn looked at them all. "I don't have a good feeling about this."

-0-

Present, Hook and Gold were fighting aboard the Jolly Roger. Then, Gold eventually runs Hook through with his sword. "Oh!" Hook exclaimed as then he chuckled "We can do this all day. But until you have Excalibur, it won't make a lick of difference." The he used his hook to cut into Gold as he pushed him away. "They say the first cut is the deepest. Well, they lied." Hook was smirking.

"Oh, bloody hell." Caitlynn shook with her head, Gold glanced at her as then he looked at Hook, who was still smirking.

-0-

3 weeks ago, the bell jingles as Emma and Caitlynn walked inside. "You were playing me the whole time." Emma looked in disbelieve.

"Once you lied about Excalibur, all bets were off. I knew it was just a matter of time before you tried controlling me. And now no one will ever control me again." Hook looks down at Excalibur. "Go back from whence you came. Back to stone."

Emma walked towards Nimue. "I don't understand. Why are you helping him get his revenge?"

Nimue looked at her. "Don't be naive, Emma. Dark Ones never do anything without getting something in return."

"What do you want?" Emma asked to her.

"You're a Dark One." Nimue replied to her. "You know what we want. You want it too."

Then Caitlynn went over to them and shook her head. "No. You can't."

Nimue looked at her. "Yes, we can. And we will."

"Killian..." Emma looked at Hook. "Your revenge is not your happy ending. I am. You told me that. If you destroy this heart, you will destroy your happy ending along with it."

Hook shook with his head. "No, Killian Jones told you that. Your lovesick puppy dog. But that man died the moment you turned him into a Dark One. Ooh." The he crushed Merlin's heart and pours the ashes into the cauldron Merlin prepared.

"What have you done?" Caitlynn exclaimed.

-0-

Present, Hook stood before Gold. "Well, I have to hand it to you, Crocodile. You lasted a lot longer than I expected. If you'd fought me with such vigor back in the day, I might have given you your wife back. Soiled, but returned."

Rumpelstiltskin hissed. "What are you waiting for, pirate? Finish him." Caitlynn could still see him as Hook was distracted and Gold used that to let loose a sandbag, which hits Killian from above.

Then, Gold grabbed Excalibur and stands over Hook. "Well, get on with it, Crocodile." Hook hissed at him.

"There's nothing I'd like better than to run you through." Gold shook with his head. "But I think... I think I'd rather let you live, knowing for the rest of your life that I bested you."

"Today." Hook disappeared in a red puff of smoke, his sword clanged on the ground.

Then, Caitlynn went over to him. "That went well."

"Indeed." Gold nodded.

"Our child is happy as well." Caitlynn smiled him.

"How so?" Gold blinked at her.

"She or he just kicked." Caitlynn replied to him.

Gold placed his hand on her stomach and smiled at her. "That's lovely, dear."

"Think we should go." Caitlynn told him. "I don't want to hang around any longer."

"We can go." Gold nodded as then they disappeared in grey/purple smoke.

3 weeks ago, Hook ignored Caitlynn as then Rumpelstiltskin just comment, with his high pinched laughter. "Oh, don't take it too bad. I mean, he died for a good cause."

Emma sighed heavily. "I'm sorry. Rest in peace."

"It's over, Emma." Hook told her.

Emma looked at him. "I told you I would never abandon you." She said to him, sadly. "I'm not going to start now."

"I'm sorry, love." Hook smirked. "Once a curse has been enacted, you can't stop it."

Caitlynn stepped forwards. "Yes. We might not be able to stop it... but I can make you forget why you cast it." She waved with her hand as Hook was now lying on the ground.

"And that you were ever the Dark One in the first place." Emma added.

"Clever, dearies." Rumpelstiltskin told them.

"Thanks." Caitlynn comment as Emma used a dreamcatcher on Hook to capture his memories.

Emma looked at him. "When you wake up, you'll be the man you were. The man I love. The man who loves me."

"Ah, you'll have to do more than that if you want him to forget he was ever a Dark One." Rumpelstiltskin told them.

"We know." Caitlynn sighed.

"I need to erase the memories of everyone who knew... that I turned Hook... into a Dark One." Emma added as then she summoned their family on the floor and knocked them out. She used the dreamcatcher on them.

"Right." Rumpelstiltskin comment. "Because no one could possibly understand. Why trust your family to help when you can do it all yourself?"

"Shut it." Caitlynn looked at him.

Emma sighed heavily. "This was my fault. I'm the one who's going to fix this." Then she walked over the caldron and put the dreamcatcher in it.

"By using dark magic to add a memory wipe to the curse." Rumpelstiltskin looked at her. "But you won't like where it leads. Or worse... you will."

Then the curse spread all over them, everyone forgot, but not for the twins.

-0-

Present, Caitlynn and the other were in Mayor's office as Merida scoffed. "And we're meant to believe you're gonna give back our memories, just like that?"

Henry sighed. "We can trust her."

Caitlynn looked at them all, suspiciously. "And now you trust her?"

"I do." Henry nodded.

"Can we?" Regina asked.

Emma nodded. "Yes."

Regina nodded as well. "Okay."

Then, they held up their dreamcatchers as Emma waved with her hand and their memories flow back into their heads. Then, David asked to Emma, seeing her worried look. "Emma, what's wrong?"

"I remember." Emma replied to her father. "I know what he's doing. I know what they are doing."

"Well, this isn't good." Caitlynn comment, rubbing her stomach, worrying for them all.
