The streets of Withechapple, London, were no stranger to gruesome or haunting legends. Stories of the Ripper, the Kray Twins, and more have made these streets the dark heart of London society and a place people didn't want to be caught alone at night. Which was one of the reasons many officers of the law were not surprised to see some grisely stuff.
Amidst the dark alleys of the city a drunken man was walking by with a bottle in one hand. He was stumbling down his way to find himself another drink. He sang a song that would've been out of place for any other place but the dark fog-covered streets of Whitechapple.
"Bloody Mary come to town~ Come to town~. Bloody Mary come down to town~. Looking for a bloody corpse to fill~."
The drunken man continued singing his song unaware that someone was looking at him from the shadows. He took a swing of his bottle, noticing that it was empty. He threw the bottle away before he continued walking and singing his tune.
"Bloody Mary come to town~ Come to town~. Bloody Mary come down to town~. Looking for a bloody corpse to fill~. A drop of blood~. A drop of blood~. Bloody Mary come to town~."
As the drunk walked deeper into the alley as the remains of the broken bottle were crushed by something else. He turned around only to see shadows moving by the fog.
He laughed, thinking that he was only imagining things. The drunk walked away, stumbling with a goofy smile on his face. He muttered how much of a scaredy cat he was. Just then, he heard a step coming towards him. He turned back, only to be met by fog. He took a step towards it, narrowing his eyes to see what was behind him. He didn't see anything.
"Bloody Mary." He hiccupped.
He turned around. Only for then to hear a snarl coming from the shadows. He looked over his shoulder as a massive black figure with red blood eyes looked at him from the darkness. The figure looked at him before showing him his sharp fangs and teeth.
The drunk's blood ran cold as every hair on his body stood on end. He started to walk a little faster down the alley. He stumbled and tripped as he tried to get away from the area. Each of his missteps were fueled by whatever part of him was still sober. He begged that his legs would take him to a safe place he could find.
Another growl came up from behind him.
His hurried walk became a run. His legs went up and moved as fast as he could in order to get out of the alley. He wanted to get out. He could feel a damp breath clinging to the back of his neck through the fog. He cried out for help, hoping that someone would hear him, that the cops would get to him before whatever monster was chasing him. He knocked over trash cans, ran past closed down shops and businesses. Everything became a blur to him be it by the alcohol or the fear mixed with the adrenaline. He did not want to be killed. He wanted to live. He spotted a lit sign ahead of him. He read the words that spelled 'Police'. A part of him lit up with hope. But he was then brought back to reality when a razor sharp hand slashed his back. He picked up the speed, feeling his warm blood running down his back. He ran out of the alley, leaving the fog behind him.
"Help me!" the drunk called out, tripping as he made across the street.
He got up, letting out a sigh of relief that he was now out of danger.
Only for him to be snatched away from the street. His cries were silenced by the flapping of two large bat-wings.
Revolta stood on top of one of the buildings, observing the modern world. She heard terror and panic spreading slowly through the city, fueling her powers once more.
"Oh, yes. That is what I like." Revolta said, inhaling the dark results of her work.
Dracula had been seeding a short but very effective reign of terror since they arrived a few hours ago. She could feel her body and power growing stronger and replenishing the power that she'd lost in bringing back the monsters and the portal.
"I would love this time. One tiny incident and people just spread the terror like a fire." Revolta said just as something fell down behind her.
"You are such a slob when you feast." Revolta said as Dracula feasted on the corpse of its victim. "Although, now that you've created all that chaos and discord, I've recovered a good part of my power. And it is more than enough to find the last member of our little cabal."
Dracula growled at Revolta.
"Do not growl at me with your mouth full." Revolta snapped. "We should get back to the church. The irony of us hiding in there is more than enough for me to smile. The Wolf girl will be ours soon enough."
Revolta and Dracula made their way back to the place where they had set up their hideout.
As the sun rose in the horizon, Revolta travelled through the shadows, using her magic to track down her new prey. She travelled through the dark parts of the city, avoiding the people and the authorities of the place. She smelled the scent of the wolf she sought. The smell she was following was akin to ash and oranges that were hard to miss within the city.
"Yes, she's close. The wolf in her has been held back so long that it is almost hard to feel. But I can tell the caged beast will be more than happy to be unleashed." Revolta said as she approached the alley where the scent was the strongest.
Revolta looked into the alley. Her eyes landed upon her prey as a sinister smile crossed her face.
Inside the alley, a girl was fighting.
She had lightly tanned skin covered in scratches and a bandaid under her left eye, brown eyes, and orange hair tied on a spiky ponytail. Her glaring teeth looked like fangs that were slowly forming, like those of a wolf. She wore a messy blue t-shirt under a brown hoodie, bandaged fists, short pants, long black and white striped socks, and brown boots.
She was fighting in the alley with three boys around her age. She punched one across the face before ducking under the punch of another. She then grabbed hold of the last boy before she threw it against the trash cans. Just then the first boy punched her across the face, spilling her blood. The second boy jumped in and kicked her in the stomach, sending her against the alley wall.
"This is our turf, Winnie bitch!"
"You don't disrespect our streets without getting ass on a platter!"
"Piss off or else!"
Revolta looked rather disappointed at the sight before her. She wasn't as interested in learning the name of the girl she was looking for, but she was interested in her savagery. She expected the daughter of the Wolf Man to rip their throats out. She could've easily murder the three humans, but she felt like a lot of a hasstle to waste a breath on them. Her eyes then focused on the girl.
Winnie began to growl. Her nails grew sharp into tiny daggers. Her eyes glowed yellow like those of a wolf.
The three punks stepped back in fear.
Revolta smiled at the sight.
Winnie jumped at the three punks with sharpened claws and razor fangs, ready to kill. She pounced on the first punk, giving him a good look inside her mouth now filled with teeth that would make a shark cower in fear. She tried to bite him but the other two punks. She turned around, backhanding them with her razor sharp nails. She knocked them against the wall, acaring their faces with her claws. She allowed them to see her sharp nails before she started slashing at them. The two punks screamed as they held up their arms to protect themselves, receiving scratches and cuts from the vicious attack.
The remaining punk ran away, screaming in terror much to Winnie's annoyance.
"Help! Please! Help! That She-Wolf is killing my mates!"
Winnie turned to chase after him, only for a dark green vine to catch her foot.
"Marvelous, marvelous, simply marvelous." Revolta cackled as the two other punks took their chance to run.
Winnie turned around, finally coming to her senses.
"What the?" Winnie asked, looking at her caught foot. "Let go of me! You don't get it, I'm dangerous!"
"That is exactly what I want." Revolta replied with a nasty smile on her face.
Revolta raised her hand, causing more of her vines to wrap around Winnie's leg.
Winnie pulled out a knife from her jacket. She cut the vine before she ran off. But she didn't get far. Revolta was on Winnie like white on rice. The witch summoned more of her vines to wrap around her prey.
"You've only had a taste of the gift your father gave you, but now I shall show you what you can really do." Revolta said, as her vines wrapped Winnie into a cocoon. "Now don't worry child, your days as a mere human are now at an end. Tonight you will be born again."
Revolta walked away from the alley, taking the struggling Winnie with her.
Randy couldn't think of a way that his day could get any more awkward and painful as it had started. But as he sat at the dinner table, surrounded by all the girls that had feelings for him while under the careful watch of Lady Kryptina, he knew that getting the juice knocked out by Frankenstein had been the easy part. At least he was getting something to eat.
"Here you go, Master Randy." Sibella said, offering a sliced sandwich.
Randy could see all the other girls were glaring at Sibella for even trying it.
"Thanks Sibella, but I can eat just fine." Randy said, grabbing the sandwich. "You don't need to feed me." He added, hoping that they wouldn't try to kill each other.
"Yeah, that's our job." Phanty said, stuffing Randy's mouth with a sausage.
Phanty was then followed by Elsa that gave Randy some asparagus and Heidi that made him drink it all down with a glass of water.
Randy coughed as Howard chuckled at his friend's misfortune.
"Thanks girls." Randy coughed.
"It would seem that you have quite the loyal and loving friends, 'Master' Randy." Tanis said in her teasing manner. "Now if only you'd treat me like that."
"Not a chance you little royal brat." Gothetta said with some anger.
Despite her usually calm demeanor, Gothetta was both tired of the new girls making trouble and of not being able to sleep much that day.
"Ahem, not to disturb your romantic comedy scene, children. But we have some things to discuss." Lady Kryptina said, clearing her throat.
Randy, Howard, Gothetta, Heidi, Phanty, Elsa, Sibella, and Tanis all turned to face the older vampire, feeling embarrassed by their display. The ones that felt the most embarrassed were those that knew Lady Kryptina and were aware her patience for tomfoolery was running in short supply.
"We're sorry, Lady Kryptina." They all said together.
Gothetta spoke first to properly address her mentor.
"Lady Kryptina, what news do you have?" Gothetta asked. "They must be grave if you are awake this early in the day."
"Well, suffice it to say that I received word from my fellow teachers back home in regards to both the witch Revolta and our unexpected guest." Lady Kryptina said, looking at Sibella. "Count Von Horrificus was able to find that the witch is indeed an old one. She was stopped by an ancient druid after her hiding spot was leaked to them by an anonymous source. According to the records, she was supposed to be sealed away for all time. It is in his opinion that she is stopped before the supernatural world is exposed to the rest of humanity."
"You got it, Lady Kryptina." Howard replied. "As soon as we find her, we'll send her packing back to where she came from. Either that or a good whack to the head will deal with her."
"I'm sure you will." Lady Kryptina replied as Howard did a few karate chops.
"Um, what about Sibella?" Randy asked.
Lady Kryptina stiffened slightly as everyone turned to look at the vampire princess.
"When I mentioned Sibella, Count Von Horrificus said that he had to tell the council about her. But he believes that it is best that she remains here while the Vampire council debate on her future. However, given that they are not big admirers of her lineage I wouldn't get my hopes up." Lady Kryptina sighed. "They did call me to tell you that they'll be incontact as soon as the council has reached a verdict. Assuming that Oxblood doesn't erase the saved numbers."
The group couldn't help but chuckle at the old vampire's technology ineptitude. Regardless of the ages of knowledge that the vampires had, their touch on modern technology was laughable.
"I do not understand. What are you all talking about?" Tanis asked. "Mind sharing with the girl that's just now been dead."
"I thought you guys already explained things to her." Randy said.
"We tried but she didn't seem to be interested in listening to us until we mentioned you or said it in a way she understood it." Gothetta pointed out.
Randy sighed. Seeing as he had no idea of where Revolta and Dracula had gone, he had time to kill. He decided that it would be a good thing to explain what the world had turned into and how much things had changed. He turned to his friends, hoping that they would jump in whenever he got stuck.
"Tanis, Sibella, since you don't know what is going on, we'll try to explain things as best we can." Randy said.
"I would be most grateful, Master Randy." Sibella said with a cordial bow.
"Be sure not to skip on anything that might benefit us." Tanis added.
"This will be a long conversation, isn't it?" Heidi asked.
"Five bucks says it is." Howard said, taking a bite off his sandwich.
"I'll take that bet." Phanty giggled.
"And here I thought teaching would get easier as children got older." Lady Kryptina muttered, rubbing her temples. "I need some blood."
"Okay, let's start with the fact that the world has changed. Humanity has grown and expanded." Randy began explaining. "You're currently in the 21st century, which means that it has been a long time."
Revolta returned to the church where she had made her temporary base of operations. She dumped the daughter of the Wolf Man next to the bell. The old witch cracked her back as she was not the biggest fan of dragging someone back to her hideout. She might have recovered a good chunk of her magic, but she was not some freakishly strong woman. She regretted that her only ally was not sun proofed to aid her.
"Argh, I wish that you'd been the one to carry this brat." Revolta grunted looking at the sleeping vampire. "Stupid sun, making me do all the work. Well, I at least have time to prepare for the spell to make this wolf girl into the beast I need to bring back the Wolf Man." She said, snapping her fingers.
Before Revolta appeared a small cauldron. She pulled out a vial filled with a green potion. She poured it into the cauldron before plucking out a strand of Winnie's hair.
"Yes, this will do nicely. But now to bring out the real wolf out." Revolta said, dropping the strand of hair into the cauldron.
Revolta pulled out a mirror from her dark robes. She raised it up into the sky, catching the image of the moon in its reflection. Her mirror started to shine with the reflection of the moon letting out a ghostly white light. She moved the mirror, shooting down at the reflected light into the cauldron. The old witch looked at her potion as it changed. The green potion was now turning white, like the liquid form of mist and pale bones under a full moon night. Revolta began to stir as her cauldron with an old wooden spoon.
"Let the darkness of the night become constant, under the moon howl. Cast out the skin of man and release the beast inside. Be it day or night, unleash the beast and let her run free. Bring out the wolf to howl at night!" Revolta chanted as the cauldron let out a blast of white light.
Revolta looked at the potion that she had brewed. She saw how the bubbles within the cauldron formed around together, taking the shape of a full moon. The bubbles shun like a tiny group of lightbulbs for Revolta to see. She plunged the empty vial into the cauldron, filling it to the brink. Revolta pulled out the now filled vial. She observed its contents, making sure that they were ready for the night of the full moon.
"Good, this should do just nicely. All that we need is tonight's full moon." Revolta said, looking down at the bound Winnie.
Winnie tried to break free from her restraints. She glared at the witch from the small opening that was made. Her mind was filled with ideas of how to make her pay. She wanted to make her suffer. She wanted to break her teeth and use her hair to wipe the floors of the streets.
Revolta could only chuckle at the acts of resistance of the young wolf girl. She knelt down to see things eye to eye with her captive.
"I am certain that you must hate me. But believe me, your pathetic existence has all come down to this." Revolta said. "You will no longer have to dwell on the messes of humanity's petty squabbles. I will allow you the chance to let your true self be unleashed to the world."
Winnie just glared at the witch.
"But until tonight, sleep tight." Revolta said, using her magic to obscure Winnie once more.
"You bitch!" Winnie cries out as she was enclosed in a tight wrap.
"Teenagers. They are a problem in any era." Revolta said. "Meddling twerps."
Back at Norrisville, Randy and the rest of the gang were trying to teach Sibella and Tanis all about the modern world. They had gone over the many years that had passed. They'd gone over the rise of Rome, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, Colonialism, the birth of the United States, and some of the current history. …Of course Howard was the one incharge of telling them of all the wonders of that time.
"And that's what a TV is." Howard stated proudly. "Any questions?"
Sibella and Tanis both just had a look of confusion and utter lack of understanding.
"Why would people listen to such foolish conspiracies?" Sibella asked.
"I still call what you said was complete nonsense. How could my family be replaced and taken over by barbarians? I call Anubis' dropping on that!" Tanis snapped.
"We've been over this Tanis. That was ages ago." Randy replied.
"The great legacy of your family ended a long time ago, and now it lives on through history and legends. That's what happens with time." Gothetta said. "Sorry."
"I can't believe it… Over two thousand years!" Tanis said before looking at herself in the mirror. "I gotta admit that I do look good in this new body." She added, striking a sexy pose.
The rest of the group had different reactions to the way that Tanis took that information. Randy raised an eyebrow but couldn't help but see the endearing nature of Tanis. Gothetta wasn't sure to respond, Tanis was so much more empathetic than Nofre but still had her princess pride. Heidi could only guess that Tanis was just shrugging off the idea of being the only living member of her line. Phanty figured that Tanis was just looking at the best thing she got from the situation. Elsa understood what Tanis was going through, she had also wrestled with finding her place in this new world but Tanis had an identity to fall back on. Howard was just sure that his explanation was all that was needed to make Tanis feel better.
"So, where will I be staying?" Tanis asked.
"Excuse me?" Heidi asked.
"No need to apologize. Since I no longer have a home in Egypt as you now call it, I will need somewhere to stay." Tanis explained. "A big place if possible, hard to attack, well stocked, comfortable of course, and close to my medjay guardian." She said, sitting on Randy's lap.
"You want to live here?" Phanty asked.
Tanis nodded as a reply.
"Well, since you're offering. " Tanis said, causing Randy to sigh.
"Well, it isn't like we can drop you off at the Norrisville Museum." Randy pointed out.
"Good thing we have the extra rooms." Elsa added much to the other girls' cringe.
"Well, it might be for the best that she stayed here. After all, the Egyptian vampires wouldn't be all too happy if another source of authority suddenly showed up and started stirring things." Lady Kryptina muttered, rubbing her temples in advance of the incoming migrain.
However, her comment was caught by Tanis.
"What was that?" Tanis asked.
"Don't worry about it. I'm sure that Nofre and her relatives won't hold anything against you or your family after so many generations." Lady Kryptina said.
"Who's she talking about?" Tanis asked Randy, causing him to cringe a bit.
Randy looked around for help from anyone. He didn't like the idea of him explaining this sort of thing to Tanis. But a part of him agreed that it was just like a band aid, it had to come off eventually.
Thankfully, Gothetta stepped up to speak what they were referring to.
"I am afraid that your family was being tricked by a rogue vampire back during your time. And some of his descendants are still around." Gothetta explained. "But you don't need to worry. They are not exactly liked in this circle of ours."
Tanis thought of what Gothetta had mentioned. She suddenly began to think back on the only man that would fit the bill for a vampire. She remembered Abrax always being secretive and keeping to himself and looked oddly pale and that he didn't go out into the sun much. Her brow sharply frowned as she realized that her sister had been mentored by that very person. Her bandages started to loosen around her arms and legs, like snakes uncoiling around a thick branch.
"That son of a camel farmer!" Tanis cursed out, causing her bandages to shoot out like snakes attacking.
Tanis' bandages shot around all over, wrapping books, candlesticks, plates, food and people around her. Her bandages caught Howard's leg pulling him upwards. Another bandage wrapped Gothetta and Heidi together into a tight bind, pressing their bodies like back breaking bearhug. Elsa was wrapped so tightly and lifted into the air that her clothes were almost torn by the stress. Sibella was caught by another group of bandages, tying her in a very compromising position. Phanty managed to dodge the bandages thanks to her ghostly body. Randy was caught by the torso by the bandages, pulling him up along with his friends, getting a face full of Sibella's breasts. Lady Kryptina was pulled up by her legs, undoing her hair and leaving her hanging along with the young adults.
After a minute after unleashing her bandages, Tanis calmed down. She got a good look at what she'd done and grew embarrassed by the sight.
"Um, sorry." Tanis said.
"Wow, so that's how you were swinging around like a superhero." Phanty pointed out. "Pretty cool."
"Ms. Phanty… Would you be so kind as to get the scissors?" Lady Kryptina said, not enjoying her evening one bit.
Phanty scattered to find the scissors before the elder vampire lost what was left of her patience.
"This night is not living up to what we were hoping for." Randy grumbled.
Back with Revolta, night had finally fallen and Dracula had finally awoken from his slumber.
"About time you woke up. I've been in need of your assistance for some time now." Revolta said, getting a snarl from Dracula.
The monstrous version of the resurrected was not happy of being talked down to. He wanted to rip the throat of the witch. He swung at her, but as soon as he was close to her face, his clawed hand was pulled back by an invisible force. He tried again but he was also pushed back again. He roared in rage. Dracula smacked the large bell in hopes of letting out his rage.
"Feel better? Good." Revolta mocked before pointing to the bound Winnie. "Make sure that she doesn't escape while I perform the spell."
Dracula observed the bound form of Winnie, the daughter of the Wolf Man. He held her down, while Revolta prepared her potion.
Revolta looked up to the night sky. She caught sight of the full moon rising into the blackened sky. She smirked at the sight of it. The last full moon of summer was a powerful one and the witch was aware of that. She would use this powerful moment between the seasons to awaken the wolf girl that would give her the Wolf Man. She held up her potion, allowing it to absorb the light of the full moon. She smiled as the potion began to bubble and let out a silvery smoke from it. She walked down to where Winnie was. Revolta poured the potion into Winnie's body, bathing it in the potion.
"Now we let all those useless human restraints fade away and for our little beast to come out." Revolta said.
The potion seeped through the bindings, covering Winnie's body before it was absorbed by her skin.
Winnie started stirring against her binds. She started slowly as her mind went through a trip down the worst of her memories.
Winnie found herself as a little girl crying as her mother by police officers. She remembered her bloodied body and how the officers had no idea of what to do with her.
The memory changed to Winnie being in an orphanage being picked on by the other kids. They were throwing rocks at her, calling her names and laughing at her. She could hear a voice telling her that she had to fight back and not let others push her around. She snarled at the kids as her eyes glowed yellow.
Back in the real world, Winnie's body thrashed around violently against her restraints. A silver light came out from within the cocoon of vines.
A smile appeared on Revolta's face as the moon rose up higher in the sky.
Winnie shifted into another memory. She had just hit puberty and her emotions were a storm of unknowns. She tried approaching men and women alike, but she was always shot down. She was seen as someone inappropriate. Too wild and dirty. She wasn't liked like that. Her own body was betraying her and she hated being alone for something out of her control.
The bindings snapped as Winnie's body had finished its transformation. Her hand shot out, breaking free followed by another one.
Dracula stepped back as the newly reborn wolf girl came out with her new body.
Winnie's clothes were completely torn, revealing her new body. She was covered in thick brown fur. Her hands had razor sharp nails that could shred bodies with ease. Her ears had become pointy and wolf-like. Her eyes were glowing yellow, calling upon a vicious hunger. Her mouth now had sharp fangs ready to rip throats. Her hair was now much longer and puffier than before. At the end of her spine was now a long wolf tail covered in brown fur.
"Now this is what the daughter of the Wolf Man should look like." Revolta crackled as she created a collar made out of vines. "That will keep you from biting my own hand. Now, let us bring back your father and have our vengeance upon this world."
Winnie let out a howl to the moon, completely under Revolta's control.
