Revolta was taken aback by the sight before her. She could still sense and all but see the large demonic bird's figure behind Red Scarf. She had not expected the bird to possess the being she'd thought was its master. The sight oddly made her once snarling and growling mouth turn into a sinister smile. Despite her shock and resemblance of fear, Revolta cracked in laughter.
"It would seem the tables have turned in my favor once more, Red Scarf! You thought you could pull out one last trick to save those traitors to their kind and all it did was turn you into a monster!" Revolta cackled like the Wicked Witch of the West. "Now those you swore to protect shall hunt you with as much drive as you hunt once did! The irony even makes me having my eye shot worth it!" She laughed.
Randy however didn't reply.
"What? No witty remark in a futile attempt to pretend to be brave or in control of the situation?" Revolta mocked.
Randy narrowed his eyes at Revolta. His fists tightened up into balls with the strings of cloth circling around with the Tengu's energy. He took one step forward as he pulled back his right arm.
"Oh crap." Howard muttered before tackling Winnie to the ground. "Hit the deck!"
In that moment, Gothetta, Heidi, Phanty and Elsa did what Howard said as though their survival instincts told them to duck.
Before Revolta could question the actions of Red Scarf's allies, it happened.
Randy swung his fist forward with a roar behind it. From his fist came one of his signature attacks, the Air Fist, but this time it was different. The air fist was now bigger and made up of red hot air. It struck Revolta, shutting her up with great strength. For if Randy's attack was comparable to a high pressured cannot shot, this was the equivalent of a cannonball being fired at mach speeds.
The empowered air fist blasted Revolta through the wall, leaving the imprint of a large fist around her.
Randy then shot out after her with a powerful jump. Soaring through the air at great speeds, he caught up with Revolta in the blink of an eye. He landed one, two, three punches to her stomach before he sent her flying out of her castle with a kick to her chin. Randy extended his arms as the ribbons of his suit transformed them into large black wings. He flew all the way to meet up with Revolta with one flap of his wings, leaving his friends behind.
"Holy crap! What happened?!" Phanty said, breaking the silence.
"Yeah, what just happened?! That guy just went nuts and wrecked the bloody witch!" Winnie added.
"The bird demon Tengu possessed Cunningham." Howard answered, dusting himself. "I know what that's like. Not a pretty sight."
"We have to help him!" Gothetta said. "Phanty, follow me." She said, transforming into a bat and taking after Randy.
"Yes, ma'am!" Phanty called out, taking off after her.
Elsa helped Howard and Heidi to their feet before picking up the portly boy.
"How do we fix this?" Elsa demanded with Heidi adding her growls to emphasize the need for the question.
"We gotta take the mask and burn it! The bird demon will leave his body and go back to the stupid stone!" Howard explained.
"But doesn't that mean that we need to take off the mask he is… wearing?" Winnie asked as they all looked up.
At that moment they all shared one thought: crap.
Up in the sky, Revolta was able to stop herself with the aid of her enchanted vacuum cleaner. She held her staff with one hand as she glared at her opponent. Her body was aching in pain and couldn't get the feeling of being at the receiving end of karma out of her mouth, no matter how much it tasted like blood. Her hold on her staff tightened. She would not be made to look like a fool so close to her victory. She spotted Red Scarf coming towards her with eyes red as the gates of the fiery pit. Channeling her magic into the staff once more, she fired a ray of green magic with the desire to kill the demon that now laid before her.
Randy kept his eyes focused on Revolta. He didn't utter a single word as he flew through the air as if it was something as natural as breathing. His eyes narrowed as he saw a blast of green magic coming towards him. He spun in the air, dodging the attack.
"You want to play it that way?! Well have at thee!" Revolta called out as green lightning shot out from behind her.
Randy growled as though he was insulted by the witch's attacks. He stopped mid flight, covering his body in the Tengu wings he now had, protecting his body from the attack.
The green lightning bolts struck their target, creating a large cloud of smoke.
Revolta glared as she prepared another attack. She would not rest until she saw Red Scarf's corpse dead on the dirt. Just as she was about to fire another spell, a massive fireball emerged from the smoke.
The fireball crossed the sky between them, forcing Revolta to move out of the way.
She looked down only to see a barrage of smaller fireballs coming towards her. She dodged and flew around the flames. She spun her staff, creating a magic wall to defend herself. Every blast that struck against it made her recoil. Revolta had to admit it, the demon bird and Red Scarf were a deadly monstrocity.
Randy bursted through the smoke and clouds, appearing before Revolta. His left arm transformed back into a normal hand, though now it sported razor sharp claws. He punched through the magic barrier, shattering it with his new monstrous strength.
Revolta tried to cast another spell, but Randy's fist collided with her, sending her back to the ground. The witch fought through the pain as she regained her footing, using her vacuum cleaner as Randy chased after her.
Gothetta and Phanty reached the sky, spotting Randy chasing after Revolta.
"Wow, he has her on the run!." Phanty pointed out. "That bird really has it out for Revolta. Are we sure this is a bad thing?"
"The demon bird is possessing Randy. Of course this is bad. Randy might also hurt himself or others in that state." Gothetta called back. "We need to stop him or somehow bring him to his senses before he hurts anyone."
"Right behind you!" Phanty said as they both went after Randy and Revolta.
Revolta flew through the streets, over the heads of the terrified people that were giving her strength. She looked over her shoulder, spotting Randy flying towards her like a bird of prey in search of a tasty meal. The flaps of his wings were shattering the glasses and windows of any nearby buildings in his pursuit of his target. Randy was so focused and consumed by the power that he couldn't hold himself back. The rage that Tengu had for Revolta was influencing his own emotions and now he was on the end of that tunnel vision. Revolta growled before firing a blast of dark magic at the Ninja. But Randy was able to dodge the attack, flying higher into the sky. He stepped on the side of a building before springing towards Revolta at high speeds. He reeled back his right fist again before throwing the punch at Revolta. But the witch stopped herself inches from where Randy was attacking, dodging the attack. The Ninja continued on his path, landing a devastating attack on the streets. His attack was so strong that the ground below him was turned into a large hole in the ground. He pulled out his fist from the ground with a grunt of annoyance. He would not stop until his enemy was defeated.
Just then Revolta called down the green lightning once more. She fired it down on Randy while his back was turned.
"Die! Die! Die! Die!" Revolta shouted, calling down more and more lightning from above.
Revolta didn't know if this would be enough to kill Red Scarf, but she would bring down the whole sky if she had to. All the extra fear and chaos that empowered her was being used to destroy her enemy. She thrusted her arms back and forth, sending more and more green lightning down. She was not taking any chances that her enemy would get up from all the attacks just to sucker punch her.
Just as Revolta was about to throw another attack, Gothetta and Phanty kicked her in the butt. They landed a kick straight on the witch's butt, making her tumble out of her vacuum cleaner and stop her attacks.
Revolta managed to grab the handle of the vacuum. She pulled herself up with rage and murder in her eyes.
"That wasn't the best idea in hindsight." Gothetta said.
"But it felt so good to do so." Phanty countered before they dodged a magical blast from Revolta.
"I will make you both pay for getting in my way!" Revolta roared, firing blast after blast of magic from her staff.
Gothetta and Phanty flew around the witch, getting her attention. They couldn't let her continue attacking Randy. They flew around the witch, messing up her hair and her attention with whatever trick they could pull. Their plan turned into a cartoon cloud of smoke, with all those inside fighting. Gothetta pulled on Revolta's hair, messing up her aim. Phanty made faces to shock or make her flinch. They continued pulling these stunts more and more to the anger of Revolta, who could only scream in rage at their incessant stunts.
"Wow, we should've done this the first night." Phanty pointed out.
"Yeah, but we can't keep this up for-" Gothetta began only to be cut off by two hands grabbing hold of them. "...long."
Gothetta and Phanty saw that it was Dracula, back for blood and with a reattached leg.
"What's this ugly guy doing back here?" Phanty asked, surprised that Dracula was actually keeping a grasp on her.
"About time you got here, you useless oaf!" Revolta snarled before turning her eyes on Gothetta and Phanty. "As for you two, I will make you suffer. Not just for betraying your kind but also for making a fool out of me! And once I'm done with you, I will parade the corpse of Red Scarf throughout the world as I enter every country in this world and you will live long enough to see it!" She recounted as her magic crackled in her staff as she menacingly got it closer and closer to the girls' faces.
Gothetta and Phanty were shocked by the magic, letting out a painful cry.
Down on the crater, Randy started to regain his consciousness. He found himself inside a strange golden field with fire coming from the grass. He didn't feel any pain from the fire. He looked up to see a large tree with fiery leaves and none other than Tengu sitting on one of its branches.
"Where am I?" Randy asked.
"Damn, I thought you'd still be knocked out for a little longer. Guess that old hag's lightning bolts finally woke you up?" Tengu replied. "Well, go back to bed while I get us back on your chicken legs and kill the witch before she kills your two girlfriends." The demon bird said, shrugging off Randy.
"What?!" Randy snapped, tackling the demon bird out of the branch. "I've got to save them! Give me back my body!" He said, wrestling the bird off the ground.
"Isn't this what you wanted?" Tengu asked, pushing Randy off of him. "Me giving you the extra kick to save the day? You're being a bit of a hypocrite." The demon bird broke off, flying up in the air, mocking the Ninja.
Randy hated it but the demon bird was right. He got desperate and freed Tengu, hoping that he could quickly defeat Revolta and then seal him back, and now he was here. He got back up to his feet, hoping to fix this mess.
"But I gotta tell ya kid, out of the two bodies I've possessed yours is much more to my liking. If you don't get a move on getting your body back I'll be keeping it." Tengu mocked as Randy drew out his sword.
"I am so kicking you out of here." Randy said, aiming his sword at the Tengu. "And putting you back in that stone."
"Bring it, boy." Tengu said, gesturing to him to come at him.
Randy charged at the demon bird as it flew down to meet him. The Ninja and Tengu clashed, sword against razor sharp black wings. They spun and clashed again. Tengu transformed his form into large claws, swiping at Randy, cutting through the flames like the sickle scythe of the grim reaper would cut down any grain of life before it. Randy jumped back, flipping and turning the razor wings coming his way. He ducked and dodged, getting in close to land a kick on the demon bird's stomach. As the demon bird recoiled from the kick, Randy continued his attack. He thrusted his sword forward, cutting some of Tengu's feathers. He kept moving from side to side as the demon bird jumped up and tried to strike him with his talons. Randy dodged the attacks, putting all his training to good use before he found an opening. He wrapped his scarf around Tengu's talon. He grabbed hold of the demon bird with both hands, putting all his strength into his next attack. Randy spun around and around Tengu like a large feathery ragdoll. The demon bird screamed as he was spun before Randy threw him away. Tengu slid back before crossing his wings, blocking a downwards strike of Randy's sword.
"Gotta give it to ya kid! You have a lot more fights in ya than I thought!" Tengu grunted, pushing Randy back before throwing a punch his way.
Randy was sent back, recoiling from the punch as it left an imprint on his mind. He rolled backwards before digging his sword down to stop himself. He looked up at Tengu with rage. The rage of his fire made the flames around them grow, much to the demon bird's delight. Randy's training began to take notice as Tengu charged at him once more. Tengu spun in the air like a fiery drill. He drove directly at Randy forcing him back as he held his sword as his only means of defense. The Ninja needed to stand his ground, digging his heels on the ground as the flames around him became greater. Randy noticed this, but that caused him to be sent back flying.
Randy grunted as he landed on the ground. As he regained his bearings, his mind showed what was going on.
"What the?" Randy asked.
A scream of pain echoed in his mind. As the screams got louder and louder Randy recognized who it was.
"Gothetta! Phanty!" Randy said, looking up to see what was going on.
He saw that Revolta was torturing them. He couldn't waste time anymore.
"Wow, that looks painful." Tengu pointed out, feeling a bit of anger in his voice. "I take it that this doesn't help our situation."
"It only means I don't have time to waste with you." Randy said, causing Tengu to think he was going to make some kind of desperate move to win in one fell swoop. "So we'll have to put this fight on hold. Sorry to cut and run but the people I love need me."
Tengu was surprised by those words. The kid was not saying what he expected. From the memories he had seen from the fat kid, it did make sense. He knew humans were full of it, which made them fun to torment. But the kid before him was being honest. Tengu smirked at having possessed a diamond in the rough.
"Alright kid, I guess I can give you a minute or two. Just know that if you don't come back or try to split me from you by burning your mask, I'll take over again and turn every one of your little city into my playground." Tengu said.
"Um… Yeah, fair enough." Randy said as Tengu held out his wing turned into a fist bump. "How do I know I can trust you?"
"Because I hate that witch and how she was letting my former accommodations get turned into a chew toy. And because being stuck with you would be much more fun than being a useless stone." Tengu replied. "And as a sign of good faith, I'll let you have this power for say… five minutes."
Randy could tell the Tengu was a big problem he'd have to deal with sooner or later, but he couldn't waste time. So he fist bumped Teng, swearing that the demon bird had a smile on him.
"No take backs." Tengu said as the ribbons of the suit wrapped around their respective fists.
Randy suddenly woke up in the crater, feeling his body brimming with power.
"This is really trippy." Randy muttered before hearing the cries once more.
He looked up to see Revolta and Dracula up in the sky. He narrowed his eyes as he channelled the new seemingly boundless power he had.
"Ninja Air Jump!" Randy called out, shooting himself up into the sky.
Revolta was electrocuting Gothetta and Phanty. Her clawed hands were sending her power into their bodies, causing them a lot of pain.
"And now, you shall watch as your beloved human pet dies!" Revolta called out, aiming her staff at where Randy laid.
"No!" Gothetta and Phanty cried out.
But instead of seeing The Ninja laying on the bottom of a crater, Revolta was met with Randy uppercutting her away. Revolta was sent flying into the darkened skies and away of the young adults and Dracula.
"Get away from them!" Randy called out, before kicking Dracula's chest.
Dracula released Gothetta and Phanty.
"Are you two alright? Randy asked, hugging Gothetta and Phanty.
"We should be asking you that?" Gothetta asked. "We are so having a talk after this. How could you be so reckless?"
"We were worried to death!" Phanty added. "By the way, how can you still fly without the wings?"
"Wings?" Randy asked before noticing that he was many feet from the ground.
Just as gravity was about to take hold of him he started flapping his arms, turning them into the Tengu wings with Gothetta and Phanty helping him up.
"Oh man, that was too close!" Randy panted as he and the girls almost got a heart attack.
"Flap your wings to keep yourself in the air, but don't overdo it or else you'll get too tired." Gothetta explained. "Believe me, I have plenty of experience on this matter."
"Thanks, Gothetta." Randy said, letting out a sigh of relief. "This will get some getting used to."
"Yeah, by the way, how did you get back in control?" Phanty curiously asked.
"It's kind of-" Randy began, only to be tackled away by Dracula.
"Randy!" Gothetta called out.
"Man, talk about a cliffhanger!" Phanty added before they took off after Randy and Dracula.
Randy was tackled by Dracula across the street before being thrown through the doors of a church. As the resurrected king of the vampires roared in victory, standing on the destroyed entrance of the church, Randy slowly rose up from where he had crashed. He looked at his body, noticing only scratches. He cracked his neck before looking at Dracula.
"Wow, I barely felt that." Randy pointed out before looking at Dracula. "Is this how powerful you guys feel? I barely feel human myself."
Dracula didn't reply, he just bared his fangs at Randy. Not caring about the irony of Red Scarf being now a monster no different from him. The vampire king only saw another enemy, a bag of blood to quench his thirst, standing before him as though he was a worthy opponent.
"Let's end this and then your boss lady." Randy said, getting into a combat stance as the power of the demon bird flowed through him like a river of power.
Dracula snarled at the mention of him being someone's underling. He lunged at Randy, wings expanded, claws at the ready, and fangs open and ready to devour his enemy whole.
Randy jumped over Dracula, expecting to merely jump over the vampire monster, but his movements were too strong. He jumped so high that he ended up accidentally breaking the chandelier of the ceiling with his head. He straightened himself, smacking away any of the lit candles off of him. He landed on the floor as Dracula turned to face him once more. As Dracula jumped at Randy, he unleashed a counter to see how far his new body could go.
"Ninja Water Palm!" Randy called out, as a torrent of water erupted from his left palm.
Randy was pushed back as the power was again, pretty strong. He steadied himself as he aimed the attack.
The palm made out of water struck Dracula square on the chest, pushing him back and leaving a mark.
Dracula growled in anger. He grabbed one of the pews next to him, flinging it at Randy.
Randy ducked under the flying pew as it shattered behind him. He rushed forward only to be met with another pew. He spun to the right and to the left, dodging flying pew after flying pew. Randy jumped on top of one of the pews and ran towards Dracula as the vampire king roared and charged at him, clawing and tearing apart anything in his path. The Ninja of Norrisville jumped over Dracula, drawing out his sword. He sliced off one of Dracula's wings, causing him to roar in pain. In rage, Dracula spun around, backhanding Randy in the face. Randy tried to use his scarf to catch himself, but the resurrected vampire king grabbed him by the neck.
Randy struggled against the hold of the vampire as he slammed the Ninja against the ground. Dracula then proceeded to drag him across the altar, knocking down the cross and the saints scattered around. The resurrected vampire then slammed Randy down on the ground breaking the floor and leaving cracks with Randy's struggling body. He struggled to get in a good breath of air as Dracula pinned him down. Randy was able to hold Dracula's second arm with his right one while he used his left arm to try to free himself from the hold. Dracula's fang filled jaws got close to him. Even with all the power that Randy had, he still needed to breathe. He struggled to push back Dracula, as he moved his foot against Dracula's stomach. If he didn't do something, Randy knew that he'd be this monster's dinner.
"Father!"
Randy and Dracula turned to the source of the voice.
Sibella stood at the entrance with Gothetta and Phanty by her side.
Dracula's hold on Randy loosened slightly at the sight of his daughter.
"They were right. You've really become a monster." Sibella pointed out, causing Dracula to growl. "Now you truly live up to your name."
Dracula's hold on Randy tightened, clearly not liking how his spawn was talking to him.
"Sibella, get out of here!" Randy called out.
"You need to leave, Sibella. It's too dangerous." Gothetta said, pulling Sibella back.
"Yeah, no need to get killed right now." Phanty added. "You can insult that leech afterwards!"
"No. I refuse to allow some walking corpse to kill my master or insult my existence any longer! I denounce that creature as my father!" Sibella declared, breaking Dracula's hold on Randy.
Dracula lunged at Gothetta, Phanty and Sibella with a desire to kill. Despite his monstrous state and his now minimal mind, Dracula still had a spark of pride and a lust for power. He could and would not allow any spawn of his, small vampire, or pathetic ghost to undermine or insult him. Even if he was in such a pathetic state, he would suck them dry of their blood and consume the marrow from their bones to become whole again.
Sibella refused to move despite Gothetta and Phanty pulling her away from the scene. She saw retreating now as a sign of falling under her father's shadow once more. Even if every part of her was telling her to run, she didn't move a muscle. Not even when the sharp fangs were about to bite off her face did she move.
For Randy, the world seemed to slow down. A fire filled his lungs as his body moved on instinct. It all became a blur as more and more of Tengu's power coursed through him. Randy found himself on top of Dracula before he knew what was happening. He drew out his sword, coating it in flames. He thrusted the Tengu Ninja Sword through Dracula's chest, stopping him in his tracks.
Dracula looked down in surprise and horror at the sight of the fire sword. He tried to smack or strike at the Ninja, but the Ninja was in the middle of his blind spot.
Randy increased the power of the flames, burning away the heart of the resurrected vampire. He turned him around, putting himself between Dracula's burning corpse and the girls.
"This is over for you." Randy said as Dracula turned into a pile of burnt ashes and the green smoke abandoned the remains. "Are you all alright? I'm sorry you had to-" He began only for Sibella to hug him tightly.
Everyone remained silent as Sibella hugged Randy. The atmosphere of the destroyed church grew thick with silence. No one knew what to say or how to respond to Sibella's actions. Gothetta's first instinct was to pull her off of her boyfriend, but considering that Sibella just watched the closest thing to her father coming back being burnt to ashes she didn't move. Phanty was silent, which was something very different for her, but was already coming up with something to say. Randy meanwhile was hearing Sibella's hearbeat going faster as she silently let out breath after breath to calm herself.
"Sibella… are you alright?" Randy asked, breaking the silence.
Sibella slowly pulled herself away from Randy, letting out a quiet sigh of relief.
"Forgive me, Master Randy. I was scared and I…" Sibella began explaining as her voice cracked.
"It's alright. We need to take you back to the Manor so we can deal with this." Gothetta said as Phanty helped her put Sibella at ease.
Just then Randy was tackled by Heidi before Elsa helped pin him down.
"What are you guys doing?!" Gothetta asked.
"Elsa, Heidi, it's me!" Randy said, causing both girls to recoil.
"Randy? Are you, you?" Elsa asked as Heidi smelled him.
Heidi noticed that his smell was now different. As different as a dog would when one smelled a wolf. But his eyes were the same and so were his emotions.
"Yes, it's me." Randy replied as they allowed him to get up.
Randy reached for his mask, but the suit was absorbed into his skin. The ribbons disappeared, leaving his body and normal clothes out as though it was never there. He panicked, feeling around only to see his face was the same, but now the suit was a part of him thanks to the demon bird he now shared it with.
"What happened?" Phanty asked, looking over Randy's body. "It never did that before."
Randy focused, causing the red and black ribbons to pop out and envelop his arm.
"This is new." Randy said, pulling back the suit.
The ribbons started to form and change shape. They turned and changed into a miniature form of Tengu. He turned to look at Randy, giving him a knowing grin.
"You didn't think that I'd let you go out without any form of ensurance, kid?" Tengu asked. "We have unfinished business you and me." He added much to the shock of everyone around.
Randy had just started to get used to all the craziness around him and now he was met with something more. There was nothing else that could make that evening any weirder.
"Wait! Wait!"
They all turned to see Winnie dragging a panting Howard, much to her annoyance.
"I'm here! I'm… here." Howard panted.
"Oh great, the rest of the gang is here. I was hoping to never see tubby again." Tengu said, leaning on Randy's head like he was his evil Jiminy Cricket. "At least we won't have to explain this twice."
"Give him a minute, he's about to cough up a lung." Winnie said, holing up Howard.
Heidi covered her face in embarrassment as Howard wheezed his way forwards.
"You feeling better buddy?" Randy asked.
"Yeah… Really good now…" Howard panted. "Tonight's been a long night."
"I'll say, I've been dragging him for miles." Winnie snorted. "How can you hunt monsters and get this winded by running?"
"What can I say? I'm a lover not a fighter." Howard said, taking in a deep breath.
"There's a lie in that statement." Phanty muttered, to which everyone present nodded.
"I'm sorry but who are you again?" Randy asked, looking at Winnie.
