Guest: I do plan on finishing this story, I have several chapters written, I keep meaning on writing the last couple of chapters but I've been busy, that's why I've been posting once a week, it buys me time to write the ending, but I will get there, thanks for the nice words

Holly does end up bringing Trish to trivia night; all the cops are on their best behaviour when meeting the doctor's fiancée. For whatever reason, Andy and Chloe had a bunch of questions for the lawyer, Holly was happy that her work friends were being so accepting of her partner. Chris was bummed not to have Holly as his trivia partner this time, thinking that the two made a great pair previously and they would finally be able to dethrone Rodney and Gail as trivia champs, but Holly and Trish had paired up, leaving the loveable brunette cop stuck with McNally…again. No surprise to anyone, Gail and Rodney won for the eight straight trivia night in a row. A new rule was created; winners could only go on a ten week winning streak before they had to find a new partner. Gail and Rodney agreed to the rule, as long as they got their names written in the bar as champions of the world. Gail made a joke about dibs-ing Holly as her next trivia partner in front of the group, Holly is particularly happy of her tanned skin because she knows it will hide the blush that has spread across her cheeks. Not knowing this was an option, Chris immediately stood up, knocking his chair backwards, points at Rodney and dibbsed him as his partner once he was done being Gail's, which made the group laugh, Holly was happy to have all eyes somewhere else as she discreetly looked at her future trivia partner.

Holly hasn't been spending much alone time with Gail since they went to the flat earth convention. She's been kinda avoiding Gail. They didn't do anything wrong, but Holly has been spending too much time thinking about Gail's kiss and how much it actually made her flush. The detective continues to invite Holly to various gatherings, but Holly has been coming up with reasons, well really excuses as to why she can't hang out with Gail. The blonde's kiss on her cheek really made Holly blush, not to mention Trish's comments about the smoking hot blonde police officer, Holly's not quite sure how to act around Gail anymore. Holly wants to act normal, but she can't remember what normal is.

Which means Holly has been spending a lot of time at home, on a plus side she has been seeing her fiancée more, but on the down side, she has been reminded how particular Trish can be. Holly and Trish are arguing, about what, whatever the latest issue is this week, Trish says, "you're lucky I'm with you, you're so awkward sometimes, you should be happy that I put up with it."

Holly's fuming, "people find me attractive and pleasant to be around." Holly's not sure where that came from, normally she bites her tongue, she knows Trish loves her and she knows she loves Trish, it's just sometimes the two don't necessarily see eye to eye. It's just this time Holly's just so upset with Trish and feels this need to share that she could find someone else besides Trish, that Trish isn't doing Holly any favours being with her, in a sense. That Trish doesn't have to be with Holly if she doesn't want to be.

"Sure, attractive, but once you open your mouth," Trish shakes her head, knowing how Holly spews words, sure it's cute but sometimes Trish doesn't have the patience for whatever the glasses wearing woman has to say.

"That's what you think, I still get hit on," Holly's referring to that time Gail tried to make a move on her at the diner.

Trish rolls her eyes, "I don't believe you." A jealous green monster is hidden behind Trish's eyes, but Holly is too heated to even notice.

"You know that blonde detective you think is gorgeous?" Trish nods her head, Holly smiles.

Trish shakes her head and repeats herself, "I don't believe you." Maybe she doesn't believe Holly or maybe she doesn't want to believe Holly.

Holly shrugs her shoulders, so what if Trish doesn't believe her. Holly knows the truth. Holly pauses for a second when she finally sees the look of jealous fury on Trish's face, the doctor already regrets what she said, she shouldn't have told Trish. Hopefully Trish isn't going to make Gail and Holly's lives hell.

The next day Trish shows up at Holly's lab, "hey sweetie."

The greeting startles Holly, she's so used to the lab being a no-Trish zone, she has only visited her maybe twice at work since they've moved to Toronto, in other words twice in six months, in other words not that often. "Oh hey, what are you doing here?"

"Can't I just come and say 'hi' to my fiancée?" so far everything Trish has said in an overly sweet tone of voice, Holly is one hundred percent curious what is to come next.

"I guess," Holly says in a nonplus manner, Holly is still upset about last night and how Trish said no one else would want to be with Holly. Neither really said anything to the other as they got ready for work this morning, both still ticked with the other for separate reasons.

Trish forces a laugh, trying to make the mood seem light. But Holly knows otherwise considering what they were only talking about the night before. Speaking of what they were talking about the night before, just then Gail walks into the lab, "hi doc, you got my results?"

"Uh…" Holly doesn't want to leave the two women alone, "they're in my office, if you would follow me…"

Trish cuts in, "why don't you go grab… whatever" Trish says dismissively, "and I can say hello to Detective Gail here."

Gail doesn't like the way Trish spoke to Holly or the way she was referred to her as Detective Gail, making it sound flippant, this time she cuts in, "no, I'll follow you Dr. Stewart, I need to see Rodney anyways."

"Perfect, his office is right next to mine."

"Exactly. Bye Trish," says Gail with the fakest smile. When the two get into the hallway Gail asks Holly, "is everything alright?"

Holly sighs, "yeah. Peachy." Should she warn Gail about what she revealed the night before to Trish, Holly knows Trish isn't going to harm her or Gail but she's also not really sure what Trish is going to do with this new information or how it will effect either of them. Holly knows Trish can be a little immature at times, but she's never seen her like this. This weird, jealous, possessive thing she's doing.

Gail doesn't believe Holly, and she also doesn't feel it's her place to push the brunette for answers. Holly normally doesn't mind the silence between herself and Gail, she usually finds it a comfortable silence, but today she feels it's an awkward silence, so she decides to fill it, '"Giant Steps' by John Coltrane is considered one of the most difficult songs to play."

"What?" questions Gail.

"I think it has something to do with the amount of cords and the fast transitions."

Gail closes her eyes and smiles as the two continue to walk towards Holly's office, "that's not why I said what. Does this have anything to do with the case?"

"Ummm…no, it's just a fun fact." Holly looks over at the smiling blonde.

Gail shakes her head slightly, still with a smile on her face, "you're such a nerd," she says with no ill will.

That makes Holly smile, she's happy to have a friend like Gail, even if she makes her blush.
