Hello! I'm so sorry about the wait!

Anyways, enjoy!

| Team year 1, November 11

| Mount Justice

The alarms wailed, red lights flashing on and off throughout the dark hallway.

Artemis held her bow at ready as crept down the hall. Her eyes moving from shadow to shadow as if something were to jump out at any moment.

It was one thing to be awakened at 5:30 in the morning, but another to be awakened to sirens and red lights at 5:30 in the morning.

What a nice way to change up the usually boring mornings.

Was this a drill? She had no idea, the team was nowhere to be seen- she hadn't even heard anything. For all she knew she could have really been alone in this place with some sort of killer.

Artemis passed some of the hallway doors, wondering if she should check inside. A part of her wanted to, but the risk of it being a trap was far too high.

Strange, how she actually wanted to see her teammates right now. So that she wouldn't be alone.

Suddenly a stomping noise reached her ears. Her eyes darted to the end of the hallways. She could see something or someone large moving this way fast. Her heart pounded as she swung her arrow up, "Who's there!?" She yelled.

"Artemis?"

The person came into view and she let out a sigh of relief.

It was Conner.

"Conner! I'm so glad to see you, Do you know what's happening?"

Conner shook his head, his eyes angry. "Where's Megan?"

Artemis lowered her bow, letting out a scoff, "I have no idea- I haven't seen anyone. I mean you'd think we'd have a mental link up by now."

"Unless Megan is hurt." He growled through his teeth.

Artemis held back a sigh, wondering the exact same thing. Someone should have done something by now.

"We should split up."

Artemis was caught off guard by the statement. She looked up at the clone, "Split up?"

"We need to find the rest of the team." Conner reminded.

Artemis shivered, letting it sink in. She absolutely hated the idea.

"Okay," she said slowly. "You go right, I'll go left, we'll meet back at the kitchen."

Conner nodded and took off down the hall.

Artemis watched him for a moment,

her only source of help gone.

Without another thought she turned around and headed down the hall, bow at the ready.

The alarms blared in their ears as they stood facing each other.

One holding a knife, the other holding bird-arangs.

"Move outta the way or I'll kill you." The figure demanded, sending a deathly glare through the holes in his white comedy mask.

Which surprisingly, was almost as scary as Batman's.

Robin laughed, and jumped forward. Like instinct he delivered a strong kick to the intruders head. Then gripped to his shoulders, Robin leapt onto him. The intruder lost his balance and stumbled into the wall.

Frustrated, the figure grabbed Robin by his shirt and slammed him onto the ground. He dove forward, fist ready. But before he could catch the vigilante, Robin rolled out of the way and jumped to his feet.

Robin grinned, "You're gonna have to try harder tha-"

Way too quick for Robin to process, the figure grounded himself and swept the boy wonder's feet out from under him. Then in one swift movement he caught Robin by his arm and twisted it backwards. Then with one jerk snapped it upwards. Robin cried out in pain as a sickening sound echoed in the room.

The figure let him fall to the ground, arm bent at an unnatural angle.

Robin bit back his pain, not ready to give up.

In one last move of desperation he leapt forward and swung his good fist forward. The figure caught it with a single move of his hand and slammed his fist into the side of robin's head..

The boy wonder crumpled to the ground unconscious.

The figure let out a sigh, "I'm gonna regret that." he murmured.

Quickly he ran over to the corner of the room and dropped to the floor. The shadow felt around for a moment before pulling up one of the floorboards clean of the ground. Beneath it was a hard drive and a photograph. His eyes caught on the photograph and he stared at it for a moment.

The shadow sucked in air shakily, glancing back at the limp hero on the ground. He bent forward, sweat dripping down the sides of his mask.

And for a moment the world froze around him.

Then all at once it was shattered by a loud thundering noise, coming from down the hallway.

He stood up, shoving the hard drive into his belt pocket.

He knew he didn't have much time.

The stomping grew louder as he inched towards the bedroom door. Someone was getting closer. The shadow reached for the handle and closed the door inches from the frame, leaving it open just enough to peek through.

He slid against the wall, watching the opening carefully.

In moments Superboy walked past, his steps echoing down the hallway. He didn't even glance at the slightly askew door.

Amaetur.

The figure let out a sigh of relief once Superboy was well out of range. He grabbed the door handle-

"Stop..."

The figure turned his head to the weak voice coming from the floor.

"You'll regret this…."

The shadow looked down at his hand on the handle. Then after a moment he muttered, "No... no, I don't think I will."

Then without another word he stepped out and shut the door. He pulled out his knife and sunk it into the door security system.

No one would be getting out of there anytime soon.

Without another though the shadow turned and ran down the hall.

Kaulder's eyes darted between the blue screens in front of him. If he could just find something, anything.

He could feel the urgency of the situation eating away at his patience.

He glanced over his shoulder at Megan who was laying on the couch holding her head. Sweat dripped down her green skin. Her condition was only getting worse and there was no way she would be able to hold a stable mind link.

He needed to get in contact with the team, but he didn't want to alert their intruder. Their intruder who had managed to disarm every security system in the mountain, all which had been designed by Batman.

Along with that, he had taken out all of their computer systems, Kauldar had had to turn on the emergency computer systems.

Kaulder let out a sigh, of course this would happen right after the league had left on a space chances that they would get attacked at a time like this was so rare that he was almost tempted to believe someone knew about the leagues plan.

It would definitely give one a good time to strike.

Suddenly his eyes caught on something. The camera footage glitched as it showed a masked figure running through down the hall. Kaulder grabbed the control and honed in, but just as he did the figure disappeared from the frame. He quickly switched over to the next camera where the figure appeared for a few seconds before disappearing again.

After typing something in, the footage switched over to cam 24, revealing the end of the east hallway. Kaulder watched as the intruder stopped in front of one of the doors. He put in a code as if he lived there and walked in.

That was Robin's room.

It was highly suspicious, but it didn't really matter to Kaulder at the moment.

Megan cried out in pain, clutching her head. "Megan!" Kaulder turned around with urgency on his face.

"Pain…" She breathed, "So much pain…"

Kaulder ripped out his water bearers, heart pounding. "Stay here." he commanded, In an instant he shot down the hall.

He should have seen it coming.

The Superboy wasn't that stupid.

Something slammed into his back, sending him flying into the glass bookshelf. A thousand glass pieces showered the floor as his breath was knocked out of him.

Not wasting a second, Superboy marched towards him.

He choked on air, shifting underneath the layer of glass shards that covered his body. He barely had time to think before a hand wrapped around his neck and lifted him out of his current predicament.

What was that saying? Out of the frying pan... into the fire.

The intruder's hands flew up to superboy's arm, desperately trying to get a grip. Superboy shoved him into the nearest wall, his eyes burning in anger.

"WHO ARE YOU!?" Superboy yelled.

The intruder kicked his legs, gripping to his captator. He shook his head, a mix between a desperate plea and a refusal to speak. Conner lifted him up and slammed him into the wall over and over until his grip began to loosen and black spots danced across his vision.

When the clone finished, the intruder tried to meet his gaze through the silts in his mask.

"Stop...don'twant...to…hurt...you…" He rasped, head pounding.

Superboy's glare hardened, as he let out a low growl. He clearly wasn't buying it.

Then in one swift movement, Super boy reached up and ripped the white mask off the intruder's face. It went skittering across the floor.

Conner's eyes widened and he froze in place.

It gave the intruder just enough time to reach down and pull out a green rock from his belt. Something changed in Conner's eyes, as if he recognized the kryptonian let go of the intruder, his hands flying up to clutch his head.

The intruder landed on the ground with a thump, still holding out the kryptonite.

Conner groaned, stumbling to his knees.

The intruder nealt in front of him, holding the kryptonite to his face.

"NOOOoooooOOOooo." Conner groaned as he fell limply onto his back.

"Sorry big guy." The intruder whispered, carefully placing the rock onto the Superboy's chest.

Then after grabbing his mask he jumped up and ran through the hallway into the main control room. Sliding to a stop by one of the zeta tubes

"STOP!" A girl's voice commanded, stopping him dead in his tracks. He turned around slowly, meeting Artemis's eyes through the silts in his mask.

She was standing a few feet away holding her bow ready and aimed at him. "Don't move," she ordered, keeping a steady gaze trained on him.

He let out a sigh, just barely glancing down at his watch.

3 minutes.

He could work with that.

"Put your hands up!" She growled, something like fear flashing over eyes.

"I said, PUT YOUR HANDS UP!"

"Woah... woah." He started, slowly lifting his hands into the air, "Chill archer girl, I don't want any trouble."

Her glare hardened, "Don't want any trouble huh?" She let out a bitter laugh, "You don't want trouble but you attack a division of the justice league!?"

He shrugged, "Guess you could say I'm desperate."

"Desperate? Desperate for what?" She questioned.

He met her eyes, "You know, I might ask you the same thing... Miss Crock."

Artemis's breath caught in her throat as her eyes widened. "How do you know that!?" she blurted.

1 minute 30 seconds left.

"Bit obvious, don't you think? Turning off your comns, pursuing the target on your own without even trying to get in contact with your little junior league."

The archer's eyes were wide, "LIAR!" She yelled, stepping closer. "How do you know!?"

She covered the distance between them in seconds shoving the tip of her arrow into his neck.

"Woah! Lets not get hasty now-"

"TELL ME!" Artemis demanded.

He casually took a step back, "Now look- you wouldn't believe me-"

"Artemis!" Both their heads turned to see Aqualad standing in the door frame, water bearers at the ready.

"Welp this has been fun." The intruder grabbed Artemis's bow and shoved it down, bringing his knee up to meet her face. She crumbled to the ground as he spun around and flipped in the air, just barely missing a blow from one of the water whips.

Kaulder's water blades turned into a hammer that he struck towards the intruder. The intruder dodged it, instead jumping into the air and sending a kick to kaulders face.

The atlantean stumbled back, trying to regain his stance.

In seconds the intruder was on top of him. He grabbed kaulder's arm and twisted it with a loud crunch.

Kaulder cried out in pain and grabbed his dislocated shoulder, but before he could do anything the intruder spun him around and pushed off with his feet, sending kaulder into the nearby wall.

Just then the computer voice announced "Kid Flash B02."

In seconds the intruder was on his feet again bounding towards the now glowing zeta tubes. Artemis ripped out an arrow and shot.

The intruder dodged it letting the arrow whizz past Wally's forming face. The speedster shrieked in shock.

In a blink of an eye The intruder grabbed Wally and shoved a knife up to the speedsters neck. Artemis choked on air, suddenly unable to move.

"What the-!?" Wally exclaimed, immediately shutting up as the knife pressed into his freckle covered neck. His eyes widened in realization of his current situation.

"Lower the bow or I'll kill you friend here." The intruder growled into Wally's ear.

Artemis swallowed hard, eyes setting on the small streak of crimson slowly rolling down her teammates neck.

Down Wally's neck.

She lowered her bow, unable to meet Wally's pleading eyes.

"Wait-w-wait. What do you want?" Wally tried, keeping his voice as calm as possible.

"Just let me leave and no one gets hurt." The intruder seethed.

"No one gets hurt?" Kaulder rose to his feet, hand gripping to his dangling arm. "You have already done the damage, hacked into our systems, and injured almost everyone here. Your claim holds no truth."

The mask man's eyes flickered to atlantean.

"Maybe."

"But it's his life on the line."

No one said a word. No one could. Kaulder would do anything in his power to protect his teammate and right now that meant making a sacrifice.

Every part of Artemis screamed at her to not let another one get away but at the same time that was Wally with the knife to his neck. And maybe, just maybe a part of her cared.

The intruder seemed to read their eyes, because he began to step back, arms still tightly around Kid flash. Wally awkwardly stepped back as well, not wanting a knife to go through his neck. He would have density shifted but it was too risky with the knife literally touching his neck.

He was helpless.

The intruder picked up the pace, one hand gripping wally's shirt and the other holding a knife to the speedsters neck.

They watched as the two heroes' faces disappeared one they were out the mountain entrance. He immediately began dragging the speedster over to one of the motorcycles that was so conveniently resting outside.

Wally winced as the masked man shoved him onto the back of the vehicle. The man jumped on. Then in one swift movement grabbed wally's wrists, yanked them past his torso and locked handcuffs onto them.

Wallys was literally stuck to his captator now. The worst part? The second he tried to density shift he realized his speed was gone. These were inhibitor handcuffs.

The motorcycle roared to life and shot out of its resting place down the road, jerking wally back.

"What do you want from me!?" Wally cried as the blast of air hit him in the face.

No answer.

Suddenly, the bioship soared out of the mountain. Wallys looked back at it, hope spreading through his chest.

"Ha haaa! I'm saved!."

The masked man glanced back at the incoming predator. For a second wally caught a deep blue through the small silts.

But his curiosity was shattered the moment the bioship opened fire.

"WHY ARE THEY SHOOTING AT ME!?" He cried, on the edge of hysteria.

The masked man made a sharp turn to the right causing Wally to tighten his grip, "Their shooting at me, you idiot." He muttered.

"Oh okay, Maybe you didn't notice, but shooting at you means shooting at me too!" Wally Exclaimed.

"I'm afraid I don't care." The intruder remarked.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The shots came showering down around them as they sped down the road.

The bioship was just behind them now, and it began to lower itself enough to open it's bottom hatch. Wally watched as Artemis appeared in the opening bow ready and aimed at them.

"Are you crazy!?" Wally tried to yell at her. She didn't seem to hear him because she started shooting arrows at them. Each one way too close for comfort.

He felt a chill as the bioship's shadow covered them. The masked man glanced back and muttered something unintelligible.

He jerked the motorcycle back and forth to avoid the incoming fire. Unfortunately that sent Wally uneasily swaying back and forth. But hey, if he fell at least he'd bring this guy down with him.

Suddenly Wally had an idea.

Wally pushed forward against the intruder and grabbed onto one of the handles with his cuffed hands. "Hey-!" But before the guy could respond Wally squeezed the ignition and jerked the handle back.

The wheels screeched against the pavement as the bike violently jerked to the right. The intruder stabbed Wally hard with his elbow. The blow sent Wally backwards, nearly throwing them both off the back of the motorcycle. The intruder cried out in a desperate struggle to hold on to the handles.

It was just then that he saw their current direction was headed straight into the mountain rock. His eyes widened and he gripped the handles and jerked to the left. The vehicle swerved in that direction throwing Wally right, he cried out and squeezed his arms around his captator.

The intruder lost balance and fell backwards, screaming in terror as the vehicle sped forward. It took Wally only seconds to understand.

The motorcycle sped off the open cliff.

Time seemed to slow down and somewhere in the back of his mind, Wally heard Artemis yell out his name.

All his thoughts were shattered as he felt the vehicle under him disappear into thin air. Gravity pushed him against the masked man and they fell. Somehow the air escaped from his lungs and he couldn't find it in himself to scream. Only panic as the feeling of a pounding weightlessness covered his body. With every second their impending death was getting closer.

Suddenly something hard and cold expanded out, stabbing his arms. Some distant reflex sent him reeling forward. His head slammed against something hard and he was sent spinning through the air, hands still painfully locked in the cuffs around his captator.

He gasped out a scream as he was jerked upwards like being caught above a wind current.

Impossible.

For two seconds he was weightless, then like a painful reminder, gravity hit him hard. But before he could fall backwards again, arms wrapped around him securing him to the mass of a person he had forgotten was there.

He squeezed his eyes shut, feeling his pounding hands hot against metal.

He couldn't feel anything under him, But he wasn't falling anymore.

Wally lifted an eyelid being met with someone's shirt in his face. But he could feel the wind blowing through his hair as he soared forward.

He was… flying.

He was flying!

Wally tilted his head back, eyes widening.

The blue sky was all around encompassing him. Inches in front of him was his captator who was holding on to him with both arms, his head facing out in the direction they were flying. Behind him, two strikingly blue shining metallic wings stretched out across the sky. The wings were carrying them across the sky weightlessly.

It was insane, Wally found himself caught between fear and awe. Was this what Dick was talking about when he described the feeling of flying?

He had no answer and it only left him breathless.

The intruder glanced down at him and Wally caught a glimpse of those deep blue eyes once more.

Familiar and mysterious.

"Who are you?" Wally whispered.

But the words were picked up by the wind and no sound was heard.
