Turns out he did in fact die but now he was …. Alive? Sure. Waking up in the arms of gramps, who had long since died, was very heartbreaking and strange. The man was young, very young, in fact not a single grey hair stood on his head. Someone else was in the room as well. A young teenager around 15 or 16 years old was looking at me as well.

"He looks just like me! Bwahahahaha!"

The teenager sighed, "I don't know whether that would be a good or a very bad thing."

"Oh come on, he'll be a great marine I just know it!" At that Luffy now Wyvern scrunched his nose and let out a low annoyed whine at that statement.

"Wow, see, even Wyvern doesn't like the idea of becoming a marine and he doesn't even understand what we're saying. I believe it's a sign." Dragon spoke, words laced with sarcasm.

"Now shut it Dragon! He's gonna be a strong hearty marine and nothing else if I have a say in it."

Dragon lets out a long sigh, "sure he will dad."

Puarararara Purararara

"Damn looks like I'm being called in again, damn senny."

Garp handed Wyvern over to Dragon as he held on to his shirt and cooed at him. In return Dragon gave him one of the warmest smiles he had ever seen. Grabbing his now smaller hand and kissing the top of my head, it was the second time he'd ever seen his father like this since he told him he never blamed him for leaving me with gramps. Dragon looked at his younger brother with care making sure he was held right. Wyvern wasn't used to being so weak. His haki was overflowing and was very hard to keep even somewhat under raps.

As their dad came back into the room he scooped Wyvern out of Dragon's arms and cuddled him. Dragon could've sworn he'd seen literal hearts flying off him. He gave Wyvern back to a very disturbed Dragon. "I've gotta go back, Senny needs me to get back for an important fight that is supposed to be breaking out soon, Dragon take care of your little brother, okay?"

"Yes dad." Dragon replied pointedly.

"Well, see you later!" Garp yelled as he left the house.

And that is how it all started.

Garp was out and about doing marine work. While Dragon just walked in to him and his younger brother's house to see yet again another table leg broken off. He looked over at his little brother then back at the table going over the situation. Finally he looked at the beaming child in front of him, and sighed, "You can't keep doing that Vernie."

"BA!"

"No, this is the third time this week and it's only Wednesday." In response Wyvern only giggled and hugged the table leg closer. Ever since he started crawling he's been breaking things all over the house and it got even worse after he started walking. And unfortunately for Dragon, Wyvern knew how to get out of trouble.

He would always laugh or smile giving Dragon wet puppy dog eyes giving off so much innocence he had no choice but to give it up. But now Dragon was slowly getting used to it and their little conversations happened more often than not.

Dragon sighed, picked up Wyvern and took him to the kitchen for some food. Wyvern was always a strange baby, his first word being 'miku', or meat, and of course the use of haki at such a young age.

Dragon had clearly noticed the black shield go over Wyvern's forehead protecting him from falls and breaking so, so many tables that they practically were family to the carpenters in Foosha. Also whenever someone got close to him or their house he always would look up and towards the door no matter what he was doing at the moment.

It was very strange and very difficult to try to hide from their father whenever he decided it was high time for them to be blessed with his annoying presence. If he found out he would probably try to train Wyvern at the old age of 2 years old. No, that was not happening any time soon.

But whenever Wyvern did use haki while their dad was here he alway brushed it off, not being used to it, and praised him saying how great of a marine he would become, which always led Wyvern to stick his tongue out and shout "Da da" and giggle away. Which then led to their dad forgetting what they were talking about and going to dote on Wyvern.

When Wyvern did finally turn 5 years old he was deemed old enough and was dragged out with Dragon to learn to fight. And when he learned how the kid had already learned to subconsciously use haki ever since he was young he the two started laughing while Garp praised the kid.

Since their house was close to the shore, Wyvern would always go there and look out to the sea, After awhile of doing this and Dragon always finding him there when he lost him he wasn't surprised when Wyvern declared he wanted to learn fish man karate.

Wyvern always loved the water even in his first life he always looked out on it and listened to it. He was very happy to find out that he and his older brother lived near there so whenever he had time or was bored he'd go out to the beach and pick out shells and listen to the way the water spoke. It reminded him of when he was thrust into the cold obis sinking into the depths of the home he always had.

This time he was going to be not only free on land but in water as well, he decided he wasn't going to eat the gomu gomu no mi and settled on the fact that swimming and fish man karate sounded really fun and looked fun as well. Seeing Rayleigh swim from Sabody and Jinbe moving the water around like it was an extension of himself was so graceful yet powerful and wanted to learn it as well. And now that he wouldn't sink in the water or feel weak touching water or sea stone it was just calling to him even more.
