Playing with the other kids in Foosha wasn't really the most fun thing to do. With all the kids being really boring. But with all of Dragon's trips to Goa Kingdom and Garp busy with all the work he's gotten after the huge fight with the Rocks pirates, Wyvern is left home alone a lot. So it's a road trip.
Walking to Foosha was easy, finding something fun to do wasn't. Everyone was busy and all the kids were playing games like tag and hide-n-seek, which Wyvern could easily win at, when he finally came up to a familiar party bar. A sad smile crept over Wyvern's face. "WYVERN!"
Turning around, making sure to keep Merry from falling out of his hands, he saw a much younger looking Mayor coming up behind him, smiling, "hey mayor!"
"Did you hear the news too?"
Tilting his head, "What news?"
"The couple that lived near here had a baby a couple of days ago." His eyes grew wide as he gripped onto Merry a little harder. "Hmmmm, really sad though, the mother didn't make it through the birth and the father was announced dead a few months back by the marines, cute kid though, Makino, such a beautiful name, me and a couple other villagers have been taking turns looking after her."
Makino, when was the last time he heard that name, something must've happened because the mayor was looking at him really hard with a worried face calling his name when he finally snapped out of his trance, "Hey! Hey kid, are you ok?"
"Yeah," he wiped the tears off his face, "just feel really bad for the girl, would it be ok if I could meet her?"
Not really looking convinced he gave way with a sigh, not wanting to push farther, "sure kid, maybe with that weird power of yours you could be of help watching her with me and be of use when you get older."
"Diririririri, sure!" He chirped.

It was weird seeing someone who raised you as a weak baby. Baby's are cute. Looking down at the smiling baby she giggled a little when he poked her cheek. The mayor was sitting down at one of the tables about to feed her, "well, ain't she a cute little thing, her parents left this place to her, can't wait to see what she's going to be in the future," the mayor looked up and saw Wyvern looking at Makino with sad somber eyes, "hey, you wanna hold her for a little bit?"
His head snapped up, his eyes were weird, they stared at each other for a little bit before Wyvern choked out, "really?"
"Sure, I see you caring around that little bunny all the time, a little practice with Makino and you'll be fine." He stood up, and pointed to the seat he was previously sitting in, "sit down kid."
Doing as he was told Wyvern sat down on the barrel-like seat and moved merry onto the table, "Alright, use your arm to hold up her head and make sure you don't grip her too hard." He moved forward and placed the smiling babe in his arms.
It was like a spell went over them. Makino fit perfectly in his arms, and looked like she was at peace. They were quiet, they just stared into each other's eyes watching each other. Wyvern loved the feeling of her sweet innocent soul and her warmth that she gave off, it all reminded him of his home he lost. The flowery scent mixed with rum, and home, warm cozy home. He missed it so much.
Subconsciously he gave off a warm feeling in return, he spread his haki over her, like a warm blanket. The returning feelings of the warmth only family could give. A hug and a sweet warmth surrounded the giggling and cooing Makino, and the smiling Wyvern. He never really thought he would start his family so soon but it didn't matter, Makino, whether she knew it or not, was the first to ever feel his familiar yet distantly forgotten love in his special family.
He would make up for the horrible loss of his first ever family member on Foosha after the Buster Call on his home town not even a month after he achieved his dream, he never got to see her smiling face again, never got to say I'm home, and never got to feel her warmth surrounding him in a huge hug when he would keep his promise and pay off all the food she had made for him.
Merry, being the small little baby that she was, jumped over on the arms surrounding Makino and sniffed at her face, she started laughing at the strange creature she had never seen before. I'm home. For the first time in years he felt the huge hole in his heart heal, even if it was only a little bit, because before when he had lost his brother he still had all his nakama, but this time he didn't have anyone he had to protect. And Makino being here pushed him to keep going because he needs to protect her. No matter what he will not let the same mistakes happen twice.

As I said in the earlier chapter I was busy this weekend, I would just like to say sorry, and I will try to get the chapters out before people come over or have something happen but I am an extremely lazy individual so don't expect that, but at least it was only a few days off! Really sorry and it will probably happen again! So see yah next weekend!
