Being alone at the day time and being alone at the night time are very different. Dragon is still out at Goa and none of the villagers were up at this time of the night. So naturally Wyvern was left home alone with only Merry to keep him company.
Many times before Wyvern had said in his past life how he hated to be alone. And he did. With every fiber in his being. But it was worse now. The calming feeling of the wood creaky against the push of the waves, lulling him to sleep with the ever so comforting voice of the sea giving him the love from his nakama even though they were far away.
But now he didn't have that calming feeling from the sea, not from his friends, family even, only himself, left all alone with his mind.
He hated it.
Left alone his mind would wonder. Leaving him with only his thoughts. The horrible reminders that he was alone, no family, no friends, and the ever so endearing question of what happened to everyone once I left? Are they okay? Are they safe? Are they healthy? Are they even alive? Did they even know he was-. Merry snuggled into Luffy's childlike figure. Sniffing at his face.
"It's hard," he spoke smoothly, releasing his once fetal position, "having to start over, it really hurts," tears streamed down his face, "even if I were to go and find my friends again all my memories would be unknown to them," he choked on his now unstable breaths, "what if I fail them all again, it was all my fault." Silence filled the room. His back was to the wall, legs pushed up to his stomach, face nuzzled into his knees and arms trapping his legs against him tight.
He looked up, the moon light streamed through the window, catching the dark green bottle on top of the windowsill. Makino. He had collected the bottle from the shore when he had gotten bored. It shined like her hair, deep green like the moss that climbed up the trees on the mountain. Releasing his legs he spotted Merry down by where his feet were, seated on top of them, looking up with her worried black eyes into his own.
Smiling, he picked the rabbit up and walked over to his windowsill. Now on his shoulder she sniffed at his ear making Wyvern giggle. "Thanks, Merry." He opened the window letting the familiar smell of the salty sea sting his eyes. Not wanting to wait anymore he turned and quickly walked out to the shore.
The sand under his feet moved with grace, as if making way for the child to walk. The water seemed to want to claw up the shore, trying to touch Wyvern's feet and cool them down. The delicate splash that came from stepping in the water's territory resounded from shore into the quiet night.
The smooth whispers of the sea filled his senses once more, filling him with happiness, calming him down. The sea was his home, and forever will be.
Whether it was then or now the sea called to him soothing the ache of freedom and adventure he'd wanted so bad. His time was over, if Ace was to come back then so would his younger self. He was the one who would seek the great freedom of the seas once more. All Wyvern wanted to do was make absolutely sure that all his brothers left when they were supposed to.
Give them a place to live, but not call home, as that they were all children of the sea, and had homes out there they didn't even know were out there yet.
Wyvern started crying once more, and for the last time. Sniffling and whipping the tears and snot from his face, he spoke out to the sea once more, "don't worry, I never left in the first place," and a sad smirk crossed his lips, the wind singing a light tone mixed with the sea's cried out calls. Sand nipping at his ankles as it blows in the wind, "I could never leave my home."
Anyone who had been on the sea, riding the dangerous waves of fate that came with them, could feel it cry in joy and in sadness at the forever alive, Pirate King.

Sup y'all. Sorry that this ones pretty short, but at least the grammar is better, hopefully. Sorry if it seems to be going slow the stories of him growing up will be growing faster because I really can't wait to start writing about Wyvern taking care of Ace, Sabo, and Luffy. Also if you want to you could request what you maybe want to see happen with Wyvern growing up, two minds are better than one, also to anyone who reads my other story that one will also be coming out later because I had a 4th and July party today and will being having another one tomorrow, so sorry for posting later! See you all next weekend and have fun listening to your neighbors blow up fireworks at like 1am. But seriously though, one of the people in our neighborhood drove down the street letting off fireworks for about ten laps before stopping.
