Top Stories: Tourists Flock to Mysterious Temple!
"The remote jungles of India's lost delta, from all over the world they are flocking here, following a strange story of a mysterious temple and gifts from the gods. The story begins one year ago: world-famous archaeologist Indiana Jones follows a tattered map to an ancient site - could this be the fabled Temple of the Forbidden Eye? According to Jones, the temple contains a Chamber of Destiny, where an ancient idol lured visitors with promises of gifts: eternal youth, riches, or visions of the future. For many who looked into the eyes of this double-dealing deity took a detour to doom - a chilling tale indeed!
But not chilling about, in hot pursuit are thousands of greedy globetrotters - they ready for a supernatural surprise!"

The End
"Josie? Josie? Josephine!"
Josephine was snapped from her trance when Millie raised her voice and shook her from where she sat next to Josie in the cinema.
"Goodness, you totally spaced out again."
"Sorry, I was just so enamored by that story."
Her friend snorted. "Believe me, I can tell."
Josie was wearing a giant smile. "Wow, that sounds brilliant!"
"The so-called 'Chilling tale'?"
"Yes! Oh I can't wait to hear what Dr. Jones finds out - the world famous archaeologist himself! He's clearly very passionate about his work."
Millie smirked and raised her eyebrows suggestively, even wiggling them. "I bet that's not all he's passionate about..."
"Millie!"
"Oh please, he's a total dreamboat."
"You haven't even met him!"
"Maybe some day. There's still time." Millie winked.
Josie just rolled her eyes.
This was the kind of thing she lived for, stories like this. Some - many, well, most - believed that she was better off stuffed hidden away in the archaeological library than out in the field getting experience. Some, but not all. Most. No one wanted to give her a chance. At least she was surrounded by interesting material all day every day. But she was still itching to get her hands on some artifacts and get the taste of adventure that an expedition brought. It wasn't fair, and she would prove them all wrong. Luckily, she believed in herself and her skills a great deal, and that was what mattered.
"An ancient temple in India, oh doesn't that sound exciting?"
"Goodness Josie, you're such a nerd," chuckled Millie.
"You say it like it's a bad thing." Personally, she didn't see anything wrong with being passionate about and interested in something. But, then you started showing 'too much' interest and people suddenly thought it was a bad thing. There was no pleasing some people, that much she knew very well.
"Well it's certainly nice to see some news like this rather than what's happening in Germany," Millie said.
"Agreed."
The lights dimmed more and, the newsreel over, the picture started, but Josie was distracted.
Her mind was filled with thoughts of long-lost temples, gods, and ancient secrets...
"Oh Uncle Marcus, it sounds amazing, absolutely brilliant!"
Her uncle chuckled over the phone. "I figured you would think so."
Her uncle worked with and had worked closely with Indiana Jones himself various times. Both worked at Marshall College and were good friends. She had followed in her uncle's footsteps in the archaeology community.
Then he sighed. "Unfortunately though, we're already running low on funding. That's why Sallah began running tours of the temple, but it's still not much, not enough for a full-scale excavation." He sighed again. "Oh well, I'm sure Indy will find a way - he always does."
"Sounds like it. Well, keep me posted - I can't wait to hear more!"
He promised he would. Then he told her to say hello to her mother for him, his little sister, and they ended the call.
Thankfully for her, she had befriended the owner of the movie house, a kind, elderly man who let her sit in and view the newsreels whenever she wanted, without having to purchase a ticket for the feature presentation. So she found herself over there frequently as of late, hoping to catch more information on the new discovery over in India.
"The Temple of the Forbidden Eye continues to beckon visitors from around the globe. They've all heard the tantalizing tales: a matronly movie star made young again, and the paupers who became Rockefellers in these ruins..."
Oh, she could listen to this all day.
Ancient temples? Godly powers? Mystery and secrets? It was all a dream come true for Josephine Scarlett.
