Well hello again loyal fans! Welcome back to chapter 2. This is where things begin to sort of get interesting.
But first...
Creativemind24: Sorry, I am not gonna explain that. You are gonna have to keep reading to find out what happened, hehe. You're probably gonna be surprised when you do If I'm being honest.
r3ggc4lderon: I did in fact take a scene from Raptor, due to the fact, my idea would probably mess up the entire book. But that's the only one. The original plan was for Barry to save Pietro and they both help fight against a Savitar, but nah. I needed only Barry, so I had to kill him off. Spoiler alert: He's not dead. If I upset you, I'm sorry.
And with that being said, enjoy!
Chapter 2- Waking Up to New Faces
The place and sky was storming with a bunch of fire balls and flying robots. Barry Allen along side the Avengers are fighting them to the last punch, wasting their energy on these droids.
After Barry helps out Natasha and Steve with a few Ultron bots, along the battle field, Barry spots Clint who was crouched down, holding an infant. And to his surprise, there is a jet with a gatling gun attached, with it's driver about to shoot.
Few steps away, Pietro lets out a shocked cry before sprinting to Clint's location.
"Clint!" When Barry sees Pietro approaching Clint and the bullets coming extremely close to hitting him, he shouts and races after him.
The electric currents around Barry were becoming more powerful at that time, indicating that he was pulling more power in order to get quicker in that key moment.
He speeds up to Mach-17, and at that speed he essentially perceives the surrounding in an extreme slow-motion, he immediately pushes Pietro out of the harm way, he then grabs Clint along with the child and speeds them out of the jet's firing path as well.
Pietro and Clint are both perplexed by what has just happened as Barry gasps for air.
"How did you...Pietro inquires as he lies on the ground as a result of Barry's push, visibly taken aback by what Barry has just done.
Barry, stumped for an explanation, scoffs for a moment before chuckling and smirking. "I'm the Flash."

Rainy Night
It was unbearable. The pain Barry was feeling was like he had just gotten thrown into a volcano filled with spikes. It was so unexplainable, that Barry groans In pain as he begins to wake up due to a disturbing repeating voice in his head.
Barry's eyes shot wide open and sits in a reclined position letting out heavy breathing, he looks around, still not moving but using his eyes. The first thing he saw when he opened his eyes was a blank white ceiling with blinding lights shining on him but also that he's hooked up to a machine with wires connected to him and a dark view from the big window on the left side with droplets of water hitting the glass. Despite feeling like shit, he also feels that he's laying on a bed or rather a gurney with his suit still on.
But that's not what mainly caught his attention.
Just in front of him were two people standing in the door way with both of their hands crossed, looking at each other.
The sound of Barry's heavy breathing caught the two people attentions and glance over at him before one of the figures runs towards the injured man with the other staying behind at the doorway.
As the figure gets close, Barry can get a good look at who it is. It was the American man, Barry had a glimpse at before he blacked out. But he wasn't wearing the red, blue and white suit, he had on a blue navy shirt with a pair of jeans and sandy blond hair.
"Woah easy kid, you nearly died. Take it slow," American man inquired as he approached him. Barry grits his teeth in pain but manages to sit up straight.
"Where am I?" He rapidly asks as he looks around, confused. The man just looks at him.
"You are in the medbay in a remote facility, you were brought here cause you recently got shot," the American man explains.
Barry begins. "Wait what do you mean recently-"
"Here," the American man cuts him off and hands him a glass of water and Barry quickly gulps it down before handing it back to him which seemed to calm him down a bit.
He takes it back and sets it on a dresser next to his bed frame. "You should be dead, but you're not. Which surprised us all," he says matter-of-factly,
Barry lets out a small sigh. "Yeah, well I'm glad for my speed healing," Barry wearily says and the man nods. "How long was I out?" He asks.
"A week," the man simply says and Barry just looks down.
Barry closes his eyes for a brief second "Oh my god," he mutters under his breath.
"Yeah, you were passed out for a long time. I'm Sorry kid," the man apologetically says and Barry opens his eyes and glances at him.
"Who are you?" He asks with furrowed brows.
The man holds out his hand. "I am Steve Rogers. But some people know me as Captain America; The leader of the Avengers, and that's my friend and work partner; Natasha Romanoff. You?" The now known man named: Steve says in greeting before pointing to the other figure in the doorway then asking the confused kid.
Barry shakes Steve's hand. "Nice to meet you, Steve. I'm Barry Allen, I'm a CSI forensic but people see me as the Flash," Barry replies in greeting and Steve nods.
"Thank you for all your help in Sokovia. Without you, things could have escalate," Steve gratefully says and the memory of the archer and other speedster come and strikes him like a lightning.
"Oh my god- The archer and speedster are they...?" Barry trails off.
"No. The archer, Clint was not harmed nor was the little boy, but Pietro...I can't say the same for him," Steve sighs and looks down with Barry's blood running cold.
"Who's...Pietro?" Barry hesitantly asks Steve, not wanting to know but deeply kinda already knew.
"He's the other enhanced that was also trying to save Clint- but like you- he was also...shot," he pauses then says, "He's in a comatose state right now and the doctors are saying he might not make it, but to be optimistic for the time being," Steve says and Barry covers his mouth and nose with his hands, feeling so bad that he wasn't able to save Pietro in time.
"Of course I come to a new earth and screw things up," Barry harshly says to himself, just thinking about Flashpoint and all the damages he's done and lives he ruined.
"Hey! You did not screw anything up," Steve says calmly but firmly. "Barry, If you hadn't had shown up, Pietro could have probably died. So don't feel bad for yourself," Steve assured him and Barry slowly nods.
"Yeah," Barry mutters under his breath before laying back down on the bed, groaning a bit. The room then got quiet and the soothing rain hitting the glass and outside had taken over. Steve then went back to a memory and later looks at Barry who was staring at the ceiling.
"New Earth?" He confusedly asks and Barry looks over at him. "What do you mean by that?"
Barry nods. "Right, I completely forgot I haven't told you where I'm from yet. Okay have you heard of the Multiverse before?" Barry asks before sitting up straight.
"I'm not to fond of it," Steve replies.
"Okay so basically imagine that there are multiple versions of earth. Um, one where the Nazis won World War II. One where Kennedy was never assassinated. One, where all of us are evil. Even one where all of us are guts eating zombies. So all these earth's occupy in the same place in space, but they vibrate at a different frequency so they cant see one another. Now, if you're like me and can manipulate the dimensional barrier, or travel fast enough, like I can, you can open little breaches between other Earths," Barry explains and Steve nods his head.
Explaining the multiverse theory was a little harder, but Steve was a bright enough individual. After that, they both began comparing notes, comparing the struggles of being heroes, and more but not about Barry's past. Barry guessed that they'd been doing nothing but talking for hours, but it was sort of…refreshing.
"Wow...that's...a lot. So you're from a different earth and this is one of them," Steve asks himself, recapping what Barry had just told him. "And I thought me waking up 70 years in the future was weird," he says to himself with causes Barry to raise an eyebrow but decides not to ask him.
"Yeah it's...trippy," Barry wistfully mutters with a small grin, thinking about Cisco and what he would say when they find out strange things.
"So how did you arrive here?" Steve asks. Now that he knows about Barry's whereabouts, Steve is now wondering how he's here and more importantly, what he's wearing?
Barry sighs, letting the rain take over for a few seconds before he speaks. "Well, on my earth I was in my lab and was getting ready to throw a physiological box that contained a philosophical stone which, when opened, it releases a transformer looking speedster that apparently is the 'god of speed' named; Savitar,"
"When throwing the box into a portal, it was almost like the energy at what I was throwing it at...rebounded off its ethcity and just pulled me in. Later, I was thrown out into this cobblestone walkway with robots just flying all around me. And the rest is history," Barry says and Steve nods his head, piecing it all together.
"Barry, I'm gonna be honest...I have absolutely no idea what to say to that-I mean we created the weird here," Steve confessed and Barry laughs softly.
"What, did you guys fight aliens or somethin?" Barry sarcastically asks and Steve stays silent, looking like he had just been confronted by a mother for stealing a cookie out of the cookie jar. Barry stops smiling and says, "I was being sarcastic," Steve couldn't help but to crack a grin.
"Yeah. Like I said, 'we created the weird here' Barry," Steve says with a chuckle.
Barry chuckles with him but his expression quickly changes when he thinks back to his Earth. His friends, his family...his Iris. Barry just looks down and Steve puts a hand on his shoulder, feeling absolute sympathy for him.
"I'm sorry, Barry. I can't promise you anything yet, but we will do everything we can to find a way to send you back to your earth. We have a bunch of resources here and I will have my best people working on it." Steve softly says and Barry nods.
"It won't be easy. The only way to even access the dimensional barrier is if I have the Tachyon Enhancer. Until I get that machine...I'm trapped here." Barry says before falling back on his bed, in plain anguish.
And I'll end it there. Guys thank you for the support and reviews, I will upload next one when I can. This was just Barry waking up after getting shot and meeting Steve, if you wanted to see Nat I'm sorry but you'll have to wait for the next one. I was gonna Include Natasha but this would make this a little hard to write If I'm being honest.
So no Pietro is alive but in a coma. He doesn't deserve to die and Wanda doesn't need all that pain. And if you're still wondering on what that opening scene was...Well you better keep reading to find out!
See you next time.
