Chapter 5 The Final Battle

2019
"NO!"
Thawne actually did it. He took someone from Barry's life. Barry watches as Joe falls on his knees and onto the ground.
"Joe? Joe? Hey! Hey! Hey, look at me. Look at me. Joe. Please, I can't loose you too. Not like my parents. Not again. Joe! Come on. Come on. Come on. Jenna needs her father. Its all right. No. Joe." Barry is destroyed, his father figure has left his life. All because of a villain who wants to prove he's the best.
"No, Joe." Barry says as his voiced was choked
"I warned you, Flash. Im gonna kill you, and everyone you love. Thawne says as he wipes the blood off his hands. Barry just looks at him with nothing but anger and pain. He then races straight at Thawne. Thawne never saw it coming and gets pinned against a wall. With Barry having a phasing hand with anger and tears.
"Go on! End it. End it!" Thawne demanded. Barry just stopped his hand knowing this isn't the way.
"What's stopping you? Oh, I forget. Barry Allen is above killing. Isn't that right? Isn't that right!"
"Go to hell!" Barry then threw a lightning punch to his gut. Thawne couldn't handle the pain and so he made his way down on the ground.
"One wasn't enough? You had to take him away from me? You had to take Joe!" Barry screams with anger.
"I told you, I was gonna kill them. I gave you two years. Two years! And you still let them die. Their blood is on your hands."
"NO!" Barry then lightning kicked his face making him turn on his back.
"You really have gotten faster, Good. Your gonna need it." Thawne cryptically said. He then ran away.
"Im not letting you hurt anyone else." Barry said to himself before looking back at Joe's body with tears.
"Im gonna stop him. I promise Joe." He then ran out of the building but not before taking his body and putting it in a dug up grave. Barry then ran after him. He looked everywhere but no sign of him.
"NO!" Barry screamed out in the middle of the streets like a lunatic. He then remembered something from the newspaper article. He needed to get back at S.T.A.R. Labs.
S.T.A.R. Labs.
Barry ran into S.T.A.R Labs and saw Iris, Cisco, Caitlin, and Kara.
"Barry?" Kara said He then walked in the room looking tired, his eyes are all swollen up from all the tears. He walked in limping before falling on his knees.
"Barry!" Cisco said before he puts his hands around him
"He's gone, He's really gone." Barry says with a choked up tone as he's about to cry.
"Who is?" Kara says. Barry looked at Iris with sympathy and sadness, Iris knew exactly what he meant
"No. No, no, no, Barry please tell me he's fine. Tell me he's in the hospital right now. Tell me--tell me he's okay." Iris said in a frantic and sad tone.
"I wasn't fast enough." Barry said quietly only Iris heard it
"No." Iris said as she got on the ground and hugged Barry tightly.
"Im sorry, Im so sorry Iris." Barry says as he started to bawl his eyes out.
"Barry." Caitlin said with sympathy. He then motioned both Kara, Cisco, and Caitlin for a group hug. As they hugged Iris was bawling her eyes out for now dead Father.
Barry? I don't mean to sound selfish, but what happened to the cannon?" Kara said as she hugged Barry tightly
"I don't know, and frankly I don't care." He then got back up. "Thawne is now a problem." Barry said with anger in his voice.
"What do we do?" Iris said
"I'm gonna stop him, once and for all." Barry said, he then walked into the time vault with Iris following.
"Barry, What are you doing?" Iris said panicked
"If i can see the future, then maybe i can find where Thawne is so I can--" Barry then stops as he pulled up the newspaper and read the byline.
"Iris..." he then turned around to see Iris crying "Iris, what is this?" Barry said as he pointed to the name on the byline.
"Barry...I was gonna tell you." Iris said.
"Who's Wanda? Iris." Barry asked
"I don't know. I tried searching her up, but the only thing I got was a Wanda Anderson who lives in an elderly home." Iris said, she then continued "Barry, I was--"
"Were you ever gonna tell me?" Barry cut her off
"Yes. But then Nora got here...and I wanted to focus on my family, not this future." Iris said
"How long have you known?" Barry said calmly but angry
"...Ever since you came out the speed force" Iris admitted
"Why didn't you tell me?" Barry asked Iris with betrayal and sadness
"Because...I didn't know, what this future is. I thought it was just a mistake, but it stayed the same even after Nora left.
"Iris, we make our own destines. You should already know that." Barry said as he walked up to her.
"I know...but if it's set in stone, then isn't it gonna happen?" Iris said in a panicked tone
"No. Okay, this is just a possible future. You said it yourself 'We make our own destiny' "
"Yeah, Barry I know but--"
Barry cuts her off "But nothing. This will not happen, you are my home. And nothing will change that. I may have lost Joe, but im not loosing his daughter or the love of my life."
"You promise?" Iris asked as she puts her arms around him "With every cell in my body." Barry says before kissing her. Barry and Iris walk out of the vault and back into the cortex where they're joined by Cisco and Caitlin.
"Where's Kara?" Barry asked the team "She left into the speed lab, said she need some space" Cisco said "Ill talk with her." Barry reassured him before leaving the room.
SpeedLab
Barry walks in to see Kara sitting on one of the stairs just fiddling with her fingers. He saw that she looks like she lost hope. So he'll have to get it back for her. He finally spoked up.
"I see you found my secret area. It's where I come to get away." Barry says.
"Yeah, I just needed some air." Kara said, Barry then responded "What's on your mind?" -"Everything. Argo, Oliver, this stupid fucking Crisis." Barry saw that shes starting to loose hope. "Now thats not how a paragon of hope is supposed to act." Barry said playfully. "Apparently Im not a paragon of anything at the moment. Im just Kara Danvers: reporter at CATCO, renounced superhero. Who can't even save the city let alone a planet! I feel like im giving up." She says as she bended the metal bar on the railing. "Sorry." Kara says softly.
Barry chuckled "Look, I know that this is Impossible, Trust me...Im still shaken up about the whole 'Flash missing vanishes in Crisis' but you have to stop beating yourself up over this." Barry said. Kara just look at him until Barry continued "Look, I know. Believe me, I know. You wanna save the earths so do i, I want this Crisis to be over just as much as you do, and I felt like giving up when I found out I had to die." "But you didn't." Kara reassured him "Yeah. Cause of this" he touched His lightning emblem then continued "my emblem, your crest, they're symbols of the strength that we're charged with to get back out there. And we don't make the choice to die. We would never choose to do that. But when we hear the call of duty...We're willing to make that sacrifice. And that's not giving up, Kara. Thats what you call resilience. And i know--" Kara cuts him off with something he thought she would never do.
She kissed him.
The kiss was passionate, and it could have gotten further but Kara quickly pulled away. "Oh, my god Im sorry, I didn't mean to--" "No its fine, we just got caught up in the moment, it happens." They stared at each other so long they didn't notice Cisco was on coms *Barry we need you.* Barry then got up and said "Don't worry, were gonna stop this Crisis." Kara just returned a awkward smile.
Cortex
"Whats happening?" Barry asked panicked and frantically
Cisco took a second then said "...He's at the waterfront." Barry felt lightning coursing through his veins and anger taking control as he said that.
"Thawne's not hurting anyone else. I promise." Barry then put on his mask and ran out as fast as he could.
"No, Barry!" Cisco says but it was too late Barry already left.
Waterfront
As Barry was running to the water front, He heard Caitlin on coms "Barry, talk to us. What are you doing? He didn't respond, Barry was just so angry and filled with rage. That he didn't care about what Thawne might do. "Dude, don't run angry. We don't know how to defeat him yet." "But I do." And with that Barry turned off his coms.
"Barry? Barry. His coms are offline." Cisco says. "He's on his own.
Barry arrived at the waterfront where he sees Thawne. "Oh Barry, you still don't believe me. Not after I killed your Joe." Barry eyes fired up with lightning as he said that. "Trust me I do, thats why im not holding back anymore." Thawne looked a little confused while Barry continued "My entire life, I've been telling myself 'Whenever you think theres another way, do it. Never kill, Barry.' But for you ill make an exception." As Barry said that he started to run at Thawne. Lightning coursing through his veins, anger and hate in his eyes. To Barry, Thawne was standing still. But for Thawne he saw a flash of yellow lightning hit him before he can blink. Making him fly into the air and midway Barry then runs at him and lightning punches him. Making Thawne fall. "Im done letting mercy get the better of me." Barry says, Thawne got back up and ran as fast as he can with Barry following him. They ran all over the city. Passing through buildings, running up buildings, and running past streets, and breaking the sound barrier which caused a bunch if windows to break. Until Barry finally caught Thawne off-guard. He pushed him while running, making Thawne loose balance and tumble to the floor. Barry then walked up to him then ran at him grabbing him and throwing him to an alley. "That's enough!" He then used his lightning to construct ninja stars made of red lightning and throws them at Barry, but he flips over one, phases through another and ducks under the last one.
Barry ran up to Thawne throwing punches left and right before going straight to his chest drilling through his midsection (meaning just Barry repeatedly throwing punches to his chest.) lightning punch after lightning punch. Thawne had enough he threw a punch at Barry landing it. But Barry shook it off like he felt nothing. Thawne smile faded quickly. "Like I said, Im not holding back anymore." Barry started to phase his hand, he's about to phase through Thawne but he moves out the way making Barry phase through a dumpster. Thawne then threw lightning punches at Barry after pinning him against a wall throwing punches left and right. Thawne then phases his hand and says "well, this isn't how i was hoping this battle would end, but then again--" Thawne cuts himself off as he's about to phase his hand through Barry's chest, but Barry counter phased him, by phasing his whole body. Thawne looked at Barry in horror. "I got smarter too." Barry said.
"I had enough of this, catch me if you can," Thawne then runs off with Barry following right on his tail. Thawne sees Barry's getting closer so runs into the speed force with Barry following. Thawne stopped to throw a punch at Barry, he landed it and kept on hitting him. He threw a right bomb but Barry ducked under it hitting his leg this time making Thawne loose balance. Barry then threw several punches to his chest and back before hitting him with a big lightning punch. Sending Thawne stumbling back. Thawne regained his balance and instead of running at Barry, he just ran away, making Barry follows him for the last time. Or so he thought. Thawne created a breach which led to the speed force.
but the speed force color changed. It was from a majestic blue back to a blood red. They ran for what felt like hours until Barry and Thawne were neck and neck. Thawne looked at Barry with a maniacal smile written all across his face, While Barry looked at him with anger and pain in his expression. Thawne then starts to pick up the pace putting Barry behind him. Barry looked around the speed force seeing images of...That night. "No." Barry murmured under his breath, he then realized where this was going. "NO!" He screamed as Thawne turned around with a evil grin.
Allen House
March 18, 2000
A breach opens with Nora running out with her purple and yellow lightning aura coming off of her. She speeds over behind a tree where she sees her Grandma and Grandpa outside leaning on the porch, where they're talking about their lives. Nora sees how happy they are, and just keeps thinking back of how her mentor killed her right in front of her father. She was debating wether to tell him or to just let it go. She was drowning in her thoughts she didn't realized her father was behind her watching as well. "They were the best." Barry said in a low saddened tone.
"Dad. Dad, I didn't--" Nora says with sympathy and apologetic
Barry cut her off "It's alright." Barry said before continuing "I understand." He says still with the low saddened tone. Nora can tell he wants to see then as well. Barry just watches his now deceased parents having fun with each other, being comfortable with each other,...being together. Barry and his daughter both hear Henry and Nora say to each other: "i love you." -"I love you,too."
This made Barry feel better, but also worse knowing this is the day where it all happens. Nora then spoke up "Do you ever think about stopping what's about to happen?" Barry smirked but still feeling down as he says "Everyday." He says not taking his eyes of his parents.
"Thanks for bring me with you today. It meant a lot" Nora says in a guilt and saddened tone. Barry looked at her and smiled. "I'm glad you came." Barry said still in the deep saddened tone, Barry and Nora both watch her parents walk into the house shutting the door, with them not knowing what's about to happen. Barry started to feel tears and was about to shed one, until Nora notices and decides to pull him back to reality. "Hey, Old man, come on, come on." Nora says before speeding back into the Speed force and back to her timeline as Barry speed blitz's her; seeing Nora running with her yellow and purple lightning aura coming off of her as she giggles.
"Old man?" Barry 2018 murmured to himself as he's a little offended and happy. Barry then runs from his old house and back into the timeline he's from.
Moments later
A portal opened up in the middle of the street with a streak of Red lightning emerging out, with Yellow lightning coming out moments later. The two streaks raced down the streets until they made their way into Barry's childhood home.
Barry's room
2000
"Sweet dreams, my beautiful boy." Nora then kissed her son, Barry on his forehead before leaving the room with her husband, but not before Young Barry says "You can turn off the light." they then smiled, switched the light off in the room, and made their way out to get some sleep for the next day. But they were wrong.
Moments later...young Barry wakes up in the middle of the night to a sound of Thunder and Lightning. He was scared. But what made him more scared was the water in the fish tank in his room float in the air. Young Barry then makes his way down stairs to see his mom scared in the middle of the room surrounded by red and yellow lightning.
Moments before
Barry threw Thawne through a window making them both crash into Barry's house. Barry grabs Thawne and punches him, Thawne then kicks Barry to a wall. Thawne then grabbed him and threw him into another wall but he dragged Thawne with him. Thawne looses the grip by punching Barry so hard, he flew once more to a wall. Thawne then threw a punch and tries to throw Barry again, but he manages to land on his feet and this time he throws Thawne to a wall. Thawne then kicks Barry and throws a punch across his jaw, punches his chest, and kicks him as he on the ground. Thawne bellows a war cry as he tries to grab young Barry, But Barry punches his chest making Thawne fly past him and delivered one more punch sending him flying once more.
Barry's about to throw another punch at him but sees the Barry Allen from 2015 behind a door ready to save his mom. As Barry saw this, he was thinking of how far he had come. From being the one to try and save his mother to now being the Flash who fights Thawne 19 years ago. He put out his hand and nodded. The Barry from 2015 then started to tear up and slightly closed the door as Barry ran straight at his young self, getting him out of house and 20 blocks away. Before he disappeared in a explosion of light and escapes to the speed force.
Earth-1
"Cisco, its been 10 minutes. Where is he?" Kara said panicked
"I don't know, where ever he is he's not showing up on the globe...I think--" Cisco then gets cut off, by the ground shaking. Cisco then called the team in the wave rider. Sara picks it up.
"Cisco?" Sara says in a confused tone
"Sara, how long do we have?" Cisco says waiting for a response, but no answer.
"Sara?" Cisco said scared and frantic, there was still silence. Sara then came back on the mic out of breath and says
"Cisco...Its already here." Sara says before the call went dead. Cisco panicked and ran outside with Kara, Caitlin and Iris following but not before she went into the time vault.
"Gideon." Iris says
"Yes, Iris West-Allen?"
"Show me the future." She said in a calm but terrified tone. The newspaper showed up...but nothing changed. It still said Flash missing vanishes in Crisis written byWanda Maximoff-Allen
"No." She said under her breath as she started to tear up. The ground started to shake so she hurried up and walked out. But it was getting stronger...So she ran.
Iris made her way outside where Cisco, Caitlin, Kara and Ralph are.
"Oh, my god." Kara says in a frantic tone.
The team sees a wave of antimatter coming to them and fast. They all started to run, while Kara flew. Cisco, Frost and Ralph ran down W Hastings street with pedestrians running as well. Soon the Anti-Matter started to take out the pedestrians and the buildings behind them and one by one Team Flash died. First Ralph, then Frost, and the last one was Cisco.
Iris watches her team die before she finally accepts this. She stared at the Anti-Matter with tears in her eyes as she then got consumed by the Anti-Matter.
Kara kept on flying until she stopped. She sees ahead a wave of Anti-Matter coming and behind her as well. She was trapped. She then got consumed by the Anti-Matter but not before she says.
"Where ever you are, where ever you'll be, I know you'll save us. Good luck, Barry."
Then she faded. Earth-1 was gone. All earths were gone.
Speed-Force
Barry is running through the speed force, but now the color changed again; It was now a black cloudy color with nothing but darkness. He flash-backed to Iris saying We make our own destiny
"I Love you, Iris" Barry muttered under his breath. He then bellows a war cry as he runs faster then he ever ran. He slowly starts to feel a lot of pain in his body, his legs feel like their about to fall off, and his heart is starting to burn. But Barry kept on running.
As he's running his body slowly starts to dissipate. He flash backed to all the good moments he had with his team, all the wins, all the loss, all the adventures,...and all the love. He bellowed a another war cry until his whole body had fully dissolved into nothing but air.
Central city 2014
Barry was in his crime lab, checking on his hidden case on a layout of a map. Until he hears the news
"Wait, we're now being told to evacuate the facilitythe storm may have caused a malfunction to the primary cooling system. Officials are now trying to shut down the particle accelerator, but so far, have unable to regain control of the system--"
Suddenly the monitor circuits out and a huge rumbling is heard from his window. Barry looks up to see a huge blast coming from the S.T.A.R. Labs facility, It creates a huge shock wave which made all the power go out in the crime lab. Barry then walks over to the roof where there's a chain to close it. But he stopped when he feels lightning coursing through his hands. he cant let go.
Barry looked around to see the liquid in the chemicals in his lab start to flow up, he froze cause he remembered some like that happened 9 years ago. Suddenly, Barry hears a huge thunder clap and looks up to only be struck by lightning and thrown to a shelf where the chemicals got in his system.
Earth-199999
2017
It's been a year after breaking Scott, Sam, Clint and Wanda. Out of the Raft. Steve and Tony reunited and decided to work together secretly, all the avengers agree and are a family again, Steve and Nat realized that being together is making their partnership complicated, so they broke up. Wanda and Vision are in Scotland after reuniting with each other and admitting feeling for one another, Clint is back home on the farm with his family, Tony managed to keep his family safe as long as Ross has no idea, Scott was out on house arrest due to him breaking the law while in Germany, but later freed. Bruce, and Thor are still out, the Avengers have tried to find them but they couldn't. Sam and Steve have joined forces and went to finish off Hydra, Tony had made a secret Facility where All the avengers including Cap can plan missions or sleep, General Ross still has no idea that Tony is helping them. Bucky is still in Wakanda getting his winter soldier in check, Spider-Man is back home in queens bugging Tony for another mission. Tony lets the kid join the avengers, and Tony and Rhodey have been lying to Ross about where the avengers are.
The avengers (except for Thor and Hulk) are in the facility discussing on what to do about Ross.
Secret facility
"No. Hell no, Tony!" Sam exclaimed
"Think about, we tell Ross that we are a group again and that we'll be the ones who will be put in check." Tony says
"Tony. Do you remember last time what happened when we tried to agree on something?" Steve says with seriousness in his tone
"Well, we all kinda got mad and had a huge civil war in an airport...I see your point." Tony cockingly said
"But we cant keep this ruse up, Ross is starting to suspect something. And if he finds out were hiding you guys, we're all getting thrown in jail." Rhodey reassured them
"So, find a way." Wanda says in her Sokovian accent
"Oh gee, why didn't I think of that? oh wait I did. Let me tell you something, wicked witch of the west. Right here in this very room we're all felonies. And if Ross finds out Team Iron man and Team Captain America are Team avengers again, he'll do more than throw us in jail. He'll take away everything we love and know." Tony said in a cocky and seriousness tone
Vision can see Wanda's hand is starting to turn red, so he placed his hand on hers, making her smile.
"Oh look at that, the two love birds are about to make a baby on this table." Tony said jokingly
"Shut it, Stark." Nat says as she smiled over to see Wanda smiling at Vision. Nat continued "they're together now, be happy for them."
"Ugh." Tony said in frustration.
Suddenly a storm of lightning forms on the table making everyone shocked
"Everybody get back!" Steve shouts
"What the hell is that?" Nay asked in confusion
Wanda and Vision are in the corner of the room, while Steve, Sam, and Nat are standing in front of the lightning storm, Rhodey, Tony, Scott, Peter, and Clint are on the opposite side of the table.
"Friday, give me readings" Tony said to his AI
Im sorry sir, but i cannot read this time anomaly*
"Time anomaly?" Clint said confused
"Avengers, get ready." Tony shouts as he aims his repulser at the lightning storm. Rhodey does the same. Clint gets his bow and aims it at the lightning storm as Peter's about to shoot a web. Scott has his hands on his activator ready to press it. Steve and Nat just get into a fighting stance as Sam gets his guns out. Wanda has her hands glowing red as Vision has a laser beam ready to shoot. The lightning storm made the sound of thunder before the lightning storm fades as a naked man covered in lightning. lands on the table. Kneeling on one knee with a beard. The Avengers are all confused and shocked.
The man was covered in lightning, surrounding his body, then the lightning aura fades away. the man then weakly said one word before passing out on the table. "Iris?"
WOOOO! Okay im not gonna lie, I liked this ending. Well there you have it, the adventures of The Flash and the Avengers will continue next chapter. I hope you like what i did with crisis. I wish i can take the credit, but this idea came from several videos and comments on YouTube. Looks like everybody wanted to see it in Crisis on infinite earths, but never got it cause of the writer. So I made it a reality. And yes don't worry ill have Barry explain what happened in the speed force next chapter, but i might add a twist. And yes Barry and Wanda will get together but that's not gonna happen right away. Anyway forgive me for not letting Barry going to the MCU but I wanted to get it right, and not go straight into it.
